Operation: Napalm Paradise, Colonial Theatre (Open MT|ATTN: Leocardia, others)

Yarkai City Presidential Palace, Military Sector

March 26th, 2015
Ingram paced around the room thinking of a plan as the President reviewed satellite photos of Leocardian colonial bases. Taking a deep breath before speaking
"I think we should use our new City Class amphibious warfare ships to strike at the colonies. On a smaller level we should use rigid inflatable boats to land our men on the islands"
Hogart peered upwards "The Feds have promised us support on thi-"
"I can do it myself James...."
"No. Not without allied help you won't"
"But-"
"That's final, Ingram. Get on with the Operation. And give it a name"
He scratched his chin thinking
"How about Operation: Napalm Paradise?"
"Perfect, it fits what we're going to do to these Bastards"

Camp Yarkai Military Base, One hour later

Ingram ascended to the top of the stage at base Yarkai. Cheers echoed across the base as Rammstein played in the background. Hasley's arms rose into the air as he began to address the 400,000 Marines who had gathered around for the pre-battle speech
"Greetings my brothers in arms! During the past two weeks war has been thrust into our face by an enemy force bent on destroying our honor and killing us all! They have already turned New Caz'e to dust, and the voices of the ghosts echo within me! They say vengeance, vengeance! And I agree with them! This day we end the phantom cries of the lost! With me my brothers! TO WAR!"

Edison Air Force Base, 0400 Hours

It was still dark when the paratroopers begun boarding their C-5 transports. They were armed with HK416 Assault rifles made of the finest quality, all fitted with under-slung grenade launchers and AGOC scopes.
At 0700 Hours the planes had been in the air for two hours, and they would be entering Leocardian airspace within 20m.

Meanwhile, the 30 City class transport ships had just been filled up by the attack force and their RIBs. They would strike after the paratroopers and would establish a beachhead for the Wanderjarian and Federal Forces.

Back at the airbase, F/A-11s fighters were being fitted with Napalm tanks to drop over enemy cities and bases in the colonies. napalm was chosen to be the best munition for the job, for the chemical was known to ignite and leave nothing standing; Perfect for island warfare.

OOC: Leo, I'm invading the Makoki islands under your control. Do you have any info on the theatre of war?

Office of the Hegemon, Second United Kingdom:

"So, the Cazelians are not ready to stop fighting?" The Hegemon asked, closing his eyes in frustration.

"It would appear not sir." replied his secretary, Mary Basset. "From what I know of Cazelians in my travels they are rather stubborn and vengeful."

"It does not do to stereotype, Mary." Lord Sumguy replied. "Though in this case I fear you are right, the Hasely family certainly fits your description." He sighed. "I doubt they would listen to me if I tried to stop them, and I don't think now would be the best time to try and exert my full power as Hegemon over the Cazelian government. we will not stop them, but neither shall we give aid."

"Yes sir." Mary said, and left the room.

The Hegemon turned back to his pc, and began typing a short message.

"Mr. Kircher," Feldmarschal von Fedor said to the Chancellor of Wanderjar, "It appears that the Cazelians have reignited the conflict, a few moments ago I received information that they launched an offensive into the Makoki islands."

"Ah, this may be beneficial. Reroute a series of battlegroups to the Makoki islands. Perhaps we shall assist our Cazelian friends. Also do have the Kaztanians in on this operation, reroute their forces in Greal as well as their 1st Naval Flotilla to assit in the operation. Inform the Cazelians that we shall be assisting."

"Very well then mein herr. It will be done. What of the rest of our forces in Greal?"

"Maintain them in reserve. I believe we may need to call upon them to secure it later, but in the meantime I believe a few Marine-Sturm Divisions and Kaztanian Commonwealth soldiers should be sufficient."

"As you wish, herr Chancellor. I shall make it happen and relay your orders to the Oberkommando der Kriegsmarine."

"Thank you, von Fedor, that will be all." With that, von Fedor bowed slightly and exited the room.

****

By the end of the hour, the Kaztanian Commonwealth units were being redeployed to strike the Makoki Islands. They would wait, however, for the Kriegsmarine to secure the seas and air around the islands and for the Marine-Sturm Divisions to secure beachheads and make advances which they could use as landing sites by air transport or seaborne landing. This operation would be led by Feldmarschal Hörmann of the Wanderjarian Heer (Army). Soon enough, the Cazelian troops would have the reinforcements which he knew they would desperately be needing soon enough. A rough fight was ahead of them, everyone knew it, however Hörmann, once informed of his deployment orders, was not certain that the Cazelians did.

Several battlegroups were deployed, as well as five Marine Divisions. This was thought to be an sufficient number of ground forces to begin the operation correctly. Ahead of the main battlefleet, dozens of SSN Wolfpacks were being redeployed to seek out enemy shipping both military as well as merchant, and eliminate it. Furthermore, they would proceed to launch cruise missiles at enemy targets which needed to be eliminated in preparation for assault as well as to support the Cazelian offensive.

It would take an estimated three days to arrive on location. The Cazelians need only hold on for that long.

From: President John Arnold, Former General, Calizorinstani Air Force, President of Calizorinstan

I am inclined to agree with Lord Sumguy, to fight fire with fire will only cause more fire, and will, if not checked, destroy the whole world. We will not enter this battle, for it is not ours to fight, and neither, I regret to say will we give aid. However, when this conflict nears it's end, I offer up my nation to host the peace talks, having been a neutral nation over the course of these wars.

Though my wife be in your government, I have implored her to have you see reason on my, and Lord Sumguy's behalf. Remember that saying from the Bible, Romans 12:19 "Vengeance is mine, saith the Lord" It means, we should not be the ones to take Vengeance, but rather God Our Father, should be the One to condemn their souls. Vengeance is not a valid reason for starting a war, but self defense is righteous.

Listen John, your wife is in the hospital with third degree burns and radiation poisoning along with your daughter. It must be shown that and act like this will not be tolerated.
And haven't you heard? New Caz'e just got fucking Nuked. I don't give a fuck about your god-damned morals; I knew forty people that are dead or dying from what the Leocardians did, and soon I'll know another two if treatment doesnt go well.

And if you still don't agree, come to New Caz'e, and bring a gas-mask, for the smell of burning flesh will make sure you never try to tell me how to do my job again.

OOC: Makoki Isles is two small islands and one big island. The big island, the size of Hawaii, is shared with a protectorate of the USSNB. The climate is just like Vietnam on an island.

Makoki Radar Station, Leocardia
With breaking news of a new operation planned against the Makoki Regional Army by the Cazelian forces, radar stations were on high alert. The simple, but durable, HY-14 radar had just begun operating. The Makoki Regional Army, just the size of 25,000 soldiers, had begun 'Operation Makoki Rest' in protecting the colony population of 150,000.

Just in the radar station left an office with the door slightly opened. Now just all the way, but slightly. Inside, an military officer, with sweating palms, made sketches on a broad piece of map of Makoki. A soldier, dressed in full military uniform much different than a regular Leocardian, walked in.

"Sarge, what's the plan? I have my battalion ready."

The officer looked up and back down on his paper. "Coastal defense, here and here."

The soldier looked over. "West and North."

"Right. We're not going to win this war, even if the Great World Fleet gets here. We will just make another replica of the Iwo Jima." He sighed.

Commander Jackson wasn't ready in this sort of mess, even if he was getting old is ranked the highest among Leocardia's military.

The Makoki Isles were filled with a mountainous range and defenses placed with hundreds of BrahMos, YJ-82s, and Harpoon missiles, aligning the coastal mountains. The only shoreline with the ability to land an amphibious assault is on the Northwest, which was heavily fenced with a great wall of bunkers filled with BrahMos and YJ-82s. Regional coastal artillery also filled the shorelines. Aerial defense was the prime defense for Makoki, and the Makoki Regional Army specialized it. Aerial defenses and guns were placed all over the hidden jungles of Makoki.

"Batter them up, it's gonna be one hell of a ride."

Cazelian operations are fully against Leocardian Makoki. I don't want to interfere, but if they attack us, they attack you too. Please be on alert on the main island, it may get loud and cranky at nights and nights will seem like days with all the munitions cranked up all over the skies. A little head's up, we might get something nuclear out of this, even when we have no nuclear weapons on this island. Just gotta say, it'll be one hell of a ride.

Listen Ingram, I am the Archbishop of San Diego, and above all else, I must prevent conflict. Did you know that it wasn't so easy for me to even get the chance to be President again after that Dictator Macked took power! He threatened me, and he executed 12,000 people in the year he was in power! I do not like the fact that you are trying to tell me what is right, when it is clearly wrong, and if you decide to commit atrocities against the Leocardians, then I will excommunicate you from the church, and I will also put an order in to not let you into my nations. I am a dangerous person to hack off, and a very powerful one too.

If you fight in self-defense, I applaud you though, for it is a righteous thing. But, if you act on a desire to revenge the wrongs that have been done you, then I shall condemn your acts, and if you complain, then well, may I remind you of who I am, and how I became that?

Northern Baltic Central Command, Makoki Republic
"Message from Leocardia, Sir. Sending it over."
After briefly glancing over it, General Klage, a veteran of several smaller conflicts in New Haven, stood over a map of the defenses.
Shit. I know we can withstand about anything they throw at us, but I hope we won't have to.
Several high ranking officers stood by. Some of them bore the extremely white skin of native Northern Balticans. Others bore the much darker skin of the Makoki natives.
"Begin partial mobilization."
The officers began moving in different directions as phone calls went around the island. Although the island was asleep, it would not be for long as men and materials began moving into their assigned positions. Many islanders could not sleep as the rumble of vehicles and roar of jets were heard through the night. In the morning, The Northern Baltic troops were ready. Bunkers along the water were manned and radar was online. The few ships making up the Makoki Coast Guard were patrolling the coast and the several heavy 800 mm, which stood far up the slope of the now inactive volcano. They were ready.

10 Miles from drop point, 0800 Hours
"Approaching drop zone, ETA: 30 seconds, prepare you men, Sawyer" Droned the C-5's flight-occupied pilot
Sawyer was a down on his luck Colonel who had been pulled from retirement to fight in the war against Leocardia. He contemplated the situation just as the pilot's message played over his headphones. His eyes widened with excitement
"THIRTY SECONDS DEVIL DOGS!" He screamed at the marines, his marines
"OO-RAH COLONEL!" They replied in percent synchronization, thrusting one fist into the air as a way of saluting their officer
"That's the spirit marines!" He yelled
"TEN SECONDS COLONEL!" Droned the pilot again
"FINAL PRECAUTIONS LOCK AND LOAD ALL WEAPONS, ALL SAW GUNNERS TUCK AWAY YOU AMMO SO YOU DON'T LOSE IT ON THE DROP, SNIPERS DROP YOUR SHUTE AND RUN TO COVER!" Barked the Colonel, opening one of the side doors
"GREEN LIGHT!" Said the pilot
"OPENING THE JAWS!"
Sawyer grinned as his company jumped from he plane into an unknown war zone. He counted to five and made a leap from the side door, pulling the ripcord on his parachute as he descended to his unknown fate with 70,000 others...

0900 Hours, forty miles from drop point

Sawyer opened his eyes. he was surrounded by men from some other company he didn't know
"Mean crosswinds, eh Colonel?" Said the first marine, who was wearing a non standard issue M1 army helmet with a joker card tied to the belt of the metal bowl
"Where am I? What division are you with?" He replied
"57th Airborne. I see your from Hasley's Devil Dogs"
"Damn straight Marine"
"Welcome to the club..." He paused for a second as if to look for his name badge
"Colonel Jeremiah Sawyer"
"Corporal Jack Parker, nice to meet you"
Parker extended his hand and helped the Colonel up
He pointed to ten other men, all wearing irregular uniforms; National Guard helmets, AK-47 rifles and the like
"What's with your gear?" Questioned Sawyer
"Asymmetrical Warfare Company" He answered
"I see. Let's get moving, we've got troops to kill and building to bust"
"Hell yeah, devil-dog"

OOC: a bit of doctrine correction: he really doesnt have the power to do that. i dont think anyone in the anglican church has the power of excommunication, as that was thrown out when they split from catholicism. 0500 hours, the 5th and 6th fleets move towards allied positions, over 150 ships loom over the dimly lit sea, the sun rising slowly behind them, several leviathan class BBRN’s and flanked larger carriers in formation. Trident class destroyers made up the bulk of the outside fleet, their bodies ominously cutting through the sea , water splashing away from their bows ,As the battle ships cut through the sea, AWACS craft flew over head, their jet engines roaring.

A message was sent from Admiral James Pike Johnson, it went out to all allied fleets in the area.

This is Admiral James Pike of the UFS Leviathan II, we are here to support operations please contact us if you require us to hit specific targets on the island, James out

The craft silently maneuvered towards the Islands, their instruments and RADAR, Integrated directly with DIBS, feeding information directly to Federal forces at sea.

The Captain of the craft sat back on his chair with a sigh his head resting against the cloth like material, the hollow noise of the jet engines, making it nearly impossible for him to hear anything but the engines and the hollow noise within the cabin.

“Captain”

Said a young subordinate at an AWACS Radio transmission station, his chair swiveling as the stealth craft made its way through the parting clouds and the increasingly brightening sky.

The captain looked over, he swiveled over from the pilots chair, and responded.
“Yeah LT?”

The younger officer said with a smirk as he heard transmissions responding.

“Looks like we’re a little late Cap’n, the parties already started, I’m intercepting allied transmissions”

The captain snickered and said leaning back on his chair with a sigh.

“Less work for us, Ok lets pass over the battle field….”

As the formation of AWACS craft moved silently towards the battle field the fleet came to a slow down, the massive 150 ship armada, continued on its course eventually a half an hour later it had come to a stop next to allied forces.

Admiral James pike Johnson stood onboard the UFS Leviathan II, the pride of the fleet and the first ship of its class, this six hundred meter behemoth was armed with 250 vertical launch missile tubes, six triple barreled twelve inch rail gun turrets , torpedo tubes, tactical high energy laser and Storm class CWIS systems. It was the most advanced and integrated ship ever built by the union and this fleet have several. James smiled, his massive battle ship rocking under him as he stood on the metal deck, the guns pointed forward for now, he took digitized binoculars and peered over to the island, the Prussians had already began shelling.. Noises of explosions and missile launches reverberated around the foggy early morning, as smoke billowed from the island James smiled a bit. He looked on word his ear muffs on and head set ready to go, the air crisp and warm, ready he breathed in a bit as aircraft rushed over head sonic booms ringing out!

James said through a wireless intercom standing on his deck.

“All guns target enemy position and fire watch out for any friendly fire!”

The turrets whizzed and chirred , they clanked and swooshed as they got targeting solutions, the mixture of over the horizon radar GPS , and Air borne Intel , granting them near precision solutions, suddenly the triple turrets fired out, a crackling sonic boom! Was heard throughout the field as the massive 12 inch shells moved at mach 8 + a stream of blue electrified fire coming out of the barrels as the ship fired again and again, the massive KE force would be enough to make craters the size of villages on to the ground. All of the battle ships had opened up streams of electrified fire busted out and dissipated behind the shell as it raced , the fleet was over 100 miles away. The cannons recoiled again and again as they fired off crackling noises and sonic bombs deafening, any un protected ears.

The UFS nexus was reverberating with noise, F-13 Super Typhoons, were raised up to the deck, chirring and whizzing of the elevators could be heard as plane after plane was raised up, Several of a fighters at a time began to roar in to action, their engines pushing out a slight bright orange flame as they moved in to the smoke billowing as their tires screeched on the deck of the carrier. Trent hawking a veteran fighter pilot, kept his hand on his control surfaces one of his gloved hands placed on the throttle the other on the joy stick, he looked around he could auto track anything with his helmet LCD panels in his aircraft switch from screen to screen. He smiled in his mask as he moved the stick side to side banking and vectoring his craft left to right doing erratic maneuvers as he increased speed.

He started to speak while me maneuvered with half his squad following to one side.

“This is Foxtrot angle one reporting in to black cat squadron, orders are to begin bombing run on enemy defenses with air to ground beyond visual range missiles.. All squad members respond”

“Affirmative Foxtrot Black two on the back..”

Said the second in command vectoring to the other side their engines roaring as they accelerated to high speeds barreling towards the island, they would attack from fifty miles out, firing their two staged AGM-190 Javelins, to home in on enemy SAM emplacements… As the fighters rushed to within fifty miles all of them banked over 300 Super Typhoons were in the air , they weren’t in all one massive formation though They had slowed down from traveling at mach 2.5, they loomed over the shore line miles high, as they maneuvered and banked. Missiles flew out , hundreds of BGM-190 GPS/LIDAR INS guided Anti radiation homing missiles flew out with streams of smoke, the first sage took them close the second stage would guide them in, chaff was ejected when the first stage was shaved off. The missiles first stage was powered by scram jets the second stage ramjets.

Trent said as he launched his pair and banked back with the black cat squadron “Well done boys, wing two keep our backs while we go to rearm.

Another 300 were incoming right behind them so if a strike by fighters were incoming they would cover the retreating 300.

12 C-5s were shot down during the offensive, carreening into the jungle below. Many of them were already done with the drop and began to head back, but were hit with SAMs and Machine gun fire.

Sawyer's new unit was tasked with rescuing the crew of a downed aircraft 10 miles from their position...

“Ah, there she is gentlemen,” Leutnant zur See Wilhelm cooed, “The Makoki Islands. Twenty five thousand blood thirsty Leocardian soldiers just waiting for us to rip their god damn heads off,” around the Command and Control center of the Hiyru Class Carrier. Admiral Reinhardt stood stone faced, staring out over the ocean at the specks which the waning light showed to be the contested Islands. Taking down his binoculars he walked over to the planning desk which held a large map of the island chain with a large series of markings representing planned air routes for attack craft, as well as movements for each Combat Regiment of the Wanderjarian Marines. They would initiate these orders the moment he gave the word. As he knew they neared the islands with each second, and Cazelian forces had dropped hours before, they needed that support and soon.

“Make it happen gentlemen, unleash the Fuhrer’s fury onto these foolish bastards.” And with the Admiral’s orders, the Wanderjarian side to Operation Napalm Paradise, known as Operation Blackwater, began. Pilots scrambled for their aircraft as red lights and blaring klaxons becokoned crewmen to battlestations. The fighters were the first into the air, deck catapults sending them hurtling off the tarmac and into the heavens, followed suit by hundreds more. Bomber craft would follow behind, their escorts to clear the way for them.

As they organized and formed themselves into noticeable echelon right formations, waypoint counters were uploaded into their Heads up Display (HUD) which would guide them into their targets to destroy. Initially, the escort fighters would clear out any air resistance while the fighter bombers targeted known and perceived ground targets of interest. Destroyers, Cruisers, and other shipping were utilizing their main guns to act as Naval Artillery and pound enemy positions from as far away as forty miles inland. Especially marked were the anti-aircraft positions which were painted the night before, as well as the ones tracked by satellite and marked for future targeting. Shells crashed into these positions and their surrounding areas, obliterating anything within its destructive blast range. Cruise missiles launched from submersible or surface craft targeted enemy bases and fortifications as well, hoping to cause as much pain to the enemy as humanly possible before the Marines landed.

The air formations sped towards the land and watched in awe as shells exploded brilliantly across the jungle landscape. The irony was palpable as the golden sky was ablaze with towers of smoke and spouts of flame. They were simply here to add to this carnage. Fighter craft dropped their Air to Surface ordinance on enemy positions they knew of as well as areas of importance such as known weapons cache’s and bases. The tactical bombers focused on those bases rather than smaller troop concentrations as well as carpet bombing the townships and villages which they flew across with White Phosphorous bombs. Clouds of white burning engulfed the unfortunate citizenry of these targets and burned eliminated resistance of enemy troops as well. Once all ordinance was expended, this first wave returned to the carrier quickly and was replaced by a second wing, which would be replaced still yet by a third after its sortie over Leocardian Colonial Space was completed.

Marine Landing Craft had already been filled with their respective platoons. Officers had already spoken to their men about the mission to come, and every man knew his mission and unit objective. They would hit the beach landing, the LACs (Landing Attack Craft) would provide light armour support and push inland with them. The first mission was to secure the beaches, drive any enemy presence on the landing site off, and then secure a beach head for the other five Divisions to land and secure. They lumbered through the waves and many men could not contain the contents of their stomachs. Many had emptied their guts onto the floors of the transport deck. Once on the beaches men would be glad to exit just to escape the smell. Fear was palpable within even the stoutest and bravest of the soldiers. Most all of these soldiers had seen combat in other campaigns, but the fear of battle, especially beach assaults, never faded. Soon enough, men, comrades, and most importantly friends, would fall to Leocardian bullets making this conflict as personal to them as to their Kaztanian compatriots.

“Alright boys,” Oberstleutnant (Lieutenant Colonel) Gerhard Bolbrinker said over his Battalion intercom, which was relayed to each soldier within his helmet’s speaker system. “We’re hitting the beach in five. Get ready boys! You all are the meaniest, baddest sons of bitches this Prussian has ever seen. Prove it to these Leocardian assholes and annihilate them!” He readied his G-125 Selective Fire Rifle, slammed a magazine into it’s stock loader, and flipped the selector to three round burst. Each man in the five hundred Marine battalion did the same. The time passed, and then with a slight jutting of the craft, they spun, their cannons and coaxial machine guns blared firing into the enemy beach head positions, and dropped the loading ramp which the Marines poured out of into the beach and the hell of battle.

Makoki Northwest Beaches
Bunkers lined up like the Great Wall of China and fired their machineguns at the incoming invaders, whether it was incoming Wanderjarians, Unionists, or even the Cazelians, either way, they were still the invaders of the Makoki Islands. Sniping positions fired away from the tree tops of the jungles. Anti-ship missiles aimed and fired their payloads on any ship they see. 500 YJ-82 missiles fired away.

Cazelian Drop Zone in Makoki
SAM fire attacked at the transport planes as well as the air support provided by Wanderjarian airplanes. As the Cazelian forces landed and received heavily fire by camouflaged riflemen, another line of machinegunners formed up just at the only path the enemy can run and take. There, they fired away, unleashing the roar of the Makoki Thunder. Aerial SAMs were reloaded and fired back toward the aerial enemies.

Makoki Regional Defense
The defensive base was under stress but operations were carried out successfully. The Makoki Brigades and Battalions were well in their positions as enemy forces happen to pop in and out from their gun stations.

202th Brigade
"Sir, we have enemy forces on our front." The radio went in to base. "Too many, but we will fight for our island. We need a preparation of another front."

The message was clear and another Brigade was assembled and mobilized into a newer position.

Oberstleutnant (Lieutenant Colonel) Gerhard Bolbrinker watched as his Marines poured out of their attack craft and into the breach. The enemy was pouring heavy fire onto them as they surged forward, a tide of grey and black clad warriors sprinting with all their might forward. Many men dropped, their bodies limp and broken from the shells tearing their flesh and ripping the life from them. But more still yet came.

He calmly exited the Landing Attack Craft, ignoring as shells hissed past his head, mortars detonated nearby sending beach sand and torn meat across his field of vision, but this did not faze him. In the end, after this battle he would mourn the deaths of his men, his Marines, but now was the time for command. He needed to do something. His men were being slaughtered as he was sure they were across the entire front! But what to do...what to do?

"Major Voyska! Get me some god damn air support! Blow the fucking shit out of those positions!"

"Jawohl!" He kneeled down with the nearest Schutze (Private), a Radio Telephone Operator (RTO) and screamed at the CinC for close air support craft. Within three minutes dozens of Eurocopter Tigers soared in, miniguns buzzing with high explosive death as well as twenty millimeter rockets hissing into enemy positions. Explosions rocked the shores as the enemy positions fell to the closing air support. Naval gunfire continued pounding the enemy, now behind the beach, and at times coming closer to detonate upon enemy entrenchments. The men by now were nearing their enemies, and began using their G-125 assault rifles as well as M-109 light machine guns to put higher volumes of death onto this foe.

"Kill! Kill! Kill!" An officer screamed on the unit channel, broadcasting to the entire battalion. "Get into those god damn trenches and drive these fucks back!" The Regiment's channel was filled with reports on how the invasion was proceeding. The Landing Assault Craft were rolling forward now, thundering with their main guns and sputtering high volumes of fire from coaxial machine guns. The Leocardian Colonial Troops were really taking it now, as the sheer mass of the Marine Division landing was beginning to unleash its full fury onto them.

Marine Airmen using their Supermarine Fighter Bombers dropped white phosphorous onto the enemy trenches as well as strafing the positions. Soon enough, the Wanderjarians would overrun their positions and the beach head would be theirs.

The enemy missiles which were fired at the Wanderjarian vessels would never even come near to reachin their targets. Tactical High Energy Lasers (THELs) tracked and disabled as many of the warheads as possible, before Close in Weapons System (CIWS) gattling guns destroyed the rest. The response was in the form of more cruise missiles which followed the path directly back to where the former anti-shipping missiles had originated. The Wanderjarian Fleet would not be done in by anti-shipping missiles from coastal battaries.

EA-18 Growler Aircraft had flown along with the Wanderjarian fighter and bomber craft, thus blanketing them in the protection of Electronic Counter Measures. Enemy Surface to Air Missiles and Anti-Air Artillery units found themselves inoperable as their radar systems could not track the Wanderjarian's movements. This meant that when ever a SAM site opened fire, its missile would fly harmlessly into the air and simply give away its position to be destroyed promptly thereafter. No enemy aircraft had thus far been sighted, so Wanderjarian escort fighters simply strafed targets of interest using their guns as oppose to missiles, adding to the carnage on the ground. No respite would be found by the Leocardian defenders this day. And as the Marines tightened the noose on the island's first line of defense, Feldmarschal Hörmann could only imagine the stress which the island's garrison commander was under. He certainly knew that the man was no fool, his defense thus far had proven to be competent, simply ineffective against a vastly superior force numbering potentially in the millions should the Wanderjarian Government decide it necessary. At that present moment only some two hundred fifty thousand Marines were contributed to the operation, but some five hundred thousand Kaztanians would soon be joining them, and this did not include the Naval Forces arrayed around the Island, or the millions of soldiers deployed to Greal which were held in reserve.

Back in Greal, bombing had resumed upon Leocardian positions. Again followed by EA-18 Growler followed alongside the air units, protecting them with a veil of Electronic Counter Measures and disabling enemy RADAR systems in the area. The Oberkommand der Wehrmacht had ruled that this offensive was truly necessary, though would be detrimental to the peace process in Greal. These soldiers however, if redeployed, could potentially and most likely would affect the outcome of the Makoki Islands Campaign. Bombers again flew sorties across their garrison bases and Wanderjarian troops advanced into Sasha, following behind thousands of MCA-7E Ubara Tirak Tanks. Wanderjarian M343 155mm ULH artillery battaries again received and executed orders to pound the enemy positions into dust, and began to do so. Shell after explosive shell landed upon the enemy positions and fires spread through the city as they engulfed buildings in high explosive flame. The Divisions, as they advanced, simply followed the predetermined routes of access and occupation, moving as they would have before the ceasefire had been signed. Once within the city, leaflets were dropped onto Leocardian positions by way of aircraft to lay down their arms and surrender, then and only then would the bombings, the shooting, and the killing stop.GSG-9 Teams throughout the city again became active. Positioning themselves in buildings near to Leocardian positions, they lit up with automatic and ranged weapons fire, picking off patrols and creating firefights which pinned down enemy troops and caused still more casualties. It would not be long before the Heer Regulars arrived in position to fight, and broke the Leocardian garrison forts as well as eradicated their presence in this country.

Outside of the country, at sea, the Kriegsmarine units in the area opened fire upon the enemies naval presence. Main guns from Battleships, cruisers, and destroyers pounded at their shipping, both transport and combat, as well as missiles launched from vertical launch bays. Submersibles torpedoed enemy ships as well from beneath the waves, and deployed Naval Strike Bombers launched anti-shipping ordinance from the skies. This entire offensive would catch the Leocardians surely by complete surprise, disallowing them to respond effectively until it was far too late for action.

The aerial attack pounded the bunkers hard and some bunkers in the middle cracked open. An extra battalion of Makoki soldiers covered the gap and experienced man-to-man combat. The soldiers threw in claymores into the gap and retreated away back into the forest, being more stealth when the enemy ever can get through, with their AK-101s ready. Soldiers inside the bunkers got out of the armored shelter and reached the top of the sand-bagged bunker wall, firing their shots back at the invaders coming closer into the bunker gap. It was unclear what were the casualties, but machinegun fire kept its rampage. An emergency deployment of LD2000 CIWS were deployed to the scene, in hopes that it will reach in time to aid the battalion shield incase the Bunker Wall leaks into a deficit of Makoki soldiers.

The white phosphrous was seen before they were dropped into the bunkers, which gave early warning to the bunkers to put on their face mask, but many were distracted and couldn't respond in time. The Makoki Air Base fired up 340 F-22s to battle the hostile airplanes in the air inside the island airspace, not risking to be shot down in the shores with navy.

Additional anti-ship missiles were fired, even if amphibious crafts dropped their troops on the shores. AA guns rackled in the skies as aerial hostilities closed in.

OOC: Two problems:
A) I just edited my post significantly, so you'll have to go back and check that.
B) White Phosphorous cannot be stopped with a gas mask. Its a burning chemical that heats up the surrounding air to some five thousand degrees farenheit and literally melts those unfortunate enough to be trapped within the white cloud it makes.

*Please ignore, didn't notice "colonial theater"*

Forgot this thread existed... Hope I didn't miss much...
-Snipping out WHY I'm in this conflict-

Troopships had been on standby in port, and were at this very moment being loaded and shipped off for Leocardian waters.

One boat from Hurtful Outcome Incorporated (HOI, a Private Military Contractor, think Blackwater on roids) that had done a brief tour in Mokastana for reasons unkown. However, this ship was not destined for Leocardia, but to the much closer waters of Volzgrad and Chernobl.

This is gonna be Epic :D

To prevent 'clusterfucking', I'd suggest each invaded party make their own theater of operations.

Leocardia, Volzgrad, Negotiations with RSA, et cetera, et cetera et cetera!

But remember to post initial diplomatic reaction and link here first.
Last guy to make his own gets to keep this one.

Leo, you do know it'll take the better part of a month for my fleet to arrive even if they were going at full steam and didn't need refueling or rest-stops, right?

Forces sent:
3 HAR-M divisions
TFs 1, 2, and 4 (Eerie, Verdun, and Dunkirk)
CBG-2 Hornet and CBG-3 Roanoke
(Not quite as many troops as Greston's, more tanks and ships though, and it isn't accounting for the airborne troops, or PMCs... Think D-Day, Normandy...)
I think it involves 75 or so additional troopships...

Resserve:
TF 5 (Marne), CBG-4 Enterprise, 25 troopships.

Deployed elsewhere:
TF 3 (Kursk), CBG-1 Independence

Note that I sent the exact same (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=12646241&postcount=8) fleets (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=12646440&postcount=13) I used to patrol around BC with...

Last port en-route to Leocardia: (TWSP)
Old commandor Baggins of the HTS-Verdun was a firm man, he made his ship's crew stay onboard or confined to the dockside, he wanted the condition and mission to remain secret. This would be his ONLY true combat mission.

Ensign Burt, a transfer, handed him a napkin and dinner on a silver platter. For his insubordination, and a suspected affair, he was demoted and transfered from communications technician to steward on another ship.

HTS-Dunkirk: Task Force 4
Lt Major Omar P. Liner was going over ship's logs, still trying to get a good feel for his small flotilla and its capabilities. Many of his ideas were forbidden in peacetime. He'd been waiting for quite some time to truely test himself.

His fleet's crew was out on the town, chatting about "good times" the likes of which the Lietenant was too young to see...

HTS-Eerie: Task Force 1
Admirral Kovaks was noticeably calm, he knew that crew moral was paramount ot their survival, and besides, with spy-satallites everywhere, it was pretty hard to miss such a large fleet.

Let the crews enjoy themselves.

OOC: YJ-82's hit probability is 98%, just so you know. It flies in a very low altitude so systems don't detect it.

The aerial bombing ran through the bunker wall and crashed a gap into the middle of the bunkers. A defensive battalion quickly ran into the gap and covered it with claymores and retreated back into the jungle, where they would be safe from harm and awaited for anymore enemy forces coming. AA guns rackled in the skies as aerial white phosphorus attacks campaigned their way into the bunker wall, shadowing the sided bunkers with the chemical weapons. It was unknown who suffered and died with the toxin, but a third of the machingun fire toward the invaders quieted down. This made increased worries as the Makoki Regional Defense immediately deployed an emergency package of LD2000 CIWS's to supply the battalions with air cover and incase the Bunker Wall defensive collapses.

Those who survived the White phosphorous attack continued their machinegun fire and the additional forces inside escaped from their bunkers and provided man-to-man combat with the invading forces. But, before they ran toward and possibly get shot down, the soldiers had been taught to drop all their claymores, but have them attached to one, incase they can possibly blow some enemy troops with their corps.

Villagers nearby were given AK-47s and ammunitions incase the invaders attacked and were encouraged to be patriotic for their native island. Makoki conscripts were told to fight for their bravery, for it is Makoki traditions to fight until the invaders are gone. A tank was given to each village, but the majority of the Makoki Regional Defense was infantry, and that was their specialty. Vietnam-style in the Iwo Jima.

--------

The soldiers in Greal were already in evacuation status, and were blown over at each base. However, most of them had already went inside armored vehicles trailing fast toward the Great Fleet.

Ehren Sie Vor alles andere!~Cazelian Motto

730 marines were killed within the first hour of the drop into enemy territory, with 10 more C-5s crashing into the jungle below

Sawyer fired as he ran, occasionally turning and making accurate shots with his comrades. He hid himself behind a tree as he reached for his radio "Alpha one, requesting Napalm Strike on my position in two minutes, over!" He commanded
"We've got a Napalm strike on our position, we've gotta move!" He shouted, waving his hands to get the squad's attention
"Yes sir, let's get the fuck out of here!"
They ran as fast as they possibly could with their combat gear on, not even stopping to shoot back

Two minutes later

Two AM-4 Gunships lined up their attack run, dumping their payload of Naplam canisters into the moist, hot jungle.
It was just about to get a lot hotter
The smell of Napalm began to permiate in the air
"Yipee-Ki-Yay Motherfuckers!" Laughed the first pilot into the radio, as the second just began to confirm the hit
"Units in the target area are crispy, over"

A line of fire spread through the jungles, catching a forest fire. Natural humidity calmed the flames, but napalm was still rapid. Half the battalion was covered in the flaming situation, while the other group spotted the running Sawyer's group and begun shooting their guns.

AA guns were fired upon the gunships, SAMs also fired away.

One of the men dropped from a shot to the knee. Blood was squirting out of the soldier's knee like a backyard hose, and Sawyer could do nothing at all. He knelt down and handed the marine a Grenade and a pistol, pulling the safety on the Grenade
"Do the Marines honor" Whispered Sawyer close to the man's ear
"...Yes....Sir....Colonel..." He weakly replied
Sawyer continued running with his men. He looked back for a quick second before continuing on. The he noticed something-
The crashed C-5 was an estimated 300 metres away from him...
And so were the enemy

Twenty miles of mainland is awfully big and is considered forbidden to the threat of national security of Leocardia. The Government will not allow it, nor will the citizens of Leocardia neither. We will, however, allow a share of the Makoki Isles to be surrendered to the Hegemony International Defense Forces.

We cannot fund the reconstruction of the New Caz'e, as we are also experiencing tough economic troubles from the Greal invasion. We will, however, pay the apologies to the lost Cazelians and establish a Memorial Hall for the lost, vaporized Cazelians in the aftermath ruins of the nuclear war. We will also pay compensation for the lost families we have affected.

Demanding two different things cannot be surrendered by the Leocardian Government. We will rebuild the torn ruins of Greal caused by Leocardian bombardments and compensation to those who are lost, as well as building a Memorial Historic Hall, which will be in remembrance of those who died, both Greali and Leocardian, and the civilians.
