The Beatus
25-03-2008, 23:10
(Live GNN TV Broadcast)
Ten men stood on a raised platform, hand cuffed, and shackled to the platform. Then, a man in fully military dress uniform, walked onto the raised platform, holding a microphone. He began to speak, "I am General Sid Simon, the Acting Leader of the Theocratic Republic of the Beatus. These men have been found guilty of the crime of treason, for they're parts in the assassination of President Jim Lange. Today, they will be punished for they're crimes." He walked up to the first man on the left. "You, Harlan Fullbright, have been found guilty of the crime of treason, and have been sentenced to the punishment of death, do you have anything to say?" he asked, holding the microphone up to the man's mouth. "The king will return," the man shouted, spitting at the General. The General then pulled the microphone away, pulled his revolver from his holster, placed it to the man's temple, and pulled the trigger. A loud shot could be heard through the microphone, followed by the cheers of the crowd that surrounded the platform. The General then reholstered his weapon, and moved to the next man. "You, Templeton Peck, have found guilty of the crime of treason, and have been sentenced to the punishment of death, do you have anything to say?" The general again held the microphone to the man's mouth. "I am dieing for my king!" he said, before being shot, in the same manner as the last. The General continued to the next... (OOC: From here in the actions will be the same as before, I will only write the dialog, for brevity.)

Man #6: "You, Hunt Stockwell, have found guilty of the crime of treason, and have been sentenced to the punishment of death, do you have anything to say?" "All will bow before the might of the king!"
The General stops to reload his revolver.
Man #7: "You, James Rockford, have found guilty of the crime of treason, and have been sentenced to the punishment of death, do you have anything to say?" "I die with honor!"
Man #8: "You, Joseph Rockford, have found guilty of the crime of treason, and have been sentenced to the punishment of death, do you have anything to say?" -He is Silent-
Man #9: "You, Sam Beckett, have found guilty of the crime of treason, and have been sentenced to the punishment of death, do you have anything to say?" "I'm innocent!"
