KURONA TODAY-KURONA'S INDEPENDENT NEWS PAPER

Noted and award winning writers Chikane Himemiya and Himeko Kurusugawa have just penned a new screenplay from their farm in west Kurona. The story for their upcoming feature has grabbed the attention of more than just movie goers and those that like Lesbian entertainment films, it's caught the attention of the Royal Government.

The still untitled film is a fictional story taking place a few years into the future in which the government has planned a global holocaust against gays and lesbians world wide. While no government officials are given names it does take place in Kurona which has given the jitters to some residence. "It's creepy that the would accuse to government of committing such atrocities." Said a local resident. "Given how conservative this country is, this may be a prophecy."
The Prince and Princess have declined to comment at the moment, however a spokes person has stated "These women are entitled to their free speech, but are still persons of interest." In other words the Government is keeping their eyes on them as possible terrorist and treasonists. Kurusugawa and Himemiya said they are not out to tell anyone the Government is an evil organization out to get gays and lesbian, but rather this is a fictional WORST CASE SCENARIO that could happen.

"I don't necessarily believe that the Government would do such a thing," Himemiya said "But I wouldn't put it past someone at all. Many of us [gays and lesbians] around the world are murdered each year by Governments because we are against the norm."

The film will be Himemiya and Kurusugawa's directorial debut unlike their previous film "Into the West." The film will also be the first of their newly established production company C&H Films, and say their company will be entirely dedicated to Gay-Lesbian interest and entertainment. "We plan to start production this winter," Kursugawa said. "And we will work until spring time. If we don't finish we will have to delay."

No talks have been given yet regarding international distribution.

All of these movies will be burned in piles on the streets and then dumped into the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Formal Statement by the Grand Duke

Roseberg is a Free Press Society, and as such these films can not be censored here. In fact, I welcome the sale of this movie. It is always nice to keep ones mind open to foreign culture.

Having said that, Roseberg is also anti gay. Not only do we not have marriage between homosexuals, gay couples are barred from fostering children.

I suspect that sales would be small, initially, but we have an LGBT population here which likely would be interested.

In conclusion, I wish to show my respect for Free Speech, Free Press and an individual's right to choose by donating 10 million USD from my own finances to help the developers in covering productions costs.

We have heard about your proposed film which we would like to support. In the federation our population is 90% female so we would have no objections to your films being shown in our homeworlds. In addition lesbian and bi-sexual relationships are the norm in our culture and they make up most of the family units as well.

Lesbian and gay rights have been enshrined in law since even before our nation got established. We can help with the distribution of your films since very few NSUN nations have the starships to reach us.

I look forward to hearing from you.

"Filming will commence earlier than stated", C&H says

An update on the latest film by Himemiya and Kurusugawa, will actually begin earlier than expected. As a result of extremely generous support by Governments and filmmakers, Chikane Himemiya stated that they will now begin earlier. "Well at first we were going to wait till winter when all the work around the farm would be done, but with the extra funds we have been receiving we started putting it to good use. Himemiya and Kurusugawa offered up their annual crop to other farmers in need of the income this year and will even pay them to work and harvest. Also what was going to be a two character film will now expand to a bigger cast of about 10 people. Both also intend to hire crew members to operate lights, cameras and put the film together in editing. "I'm very pleased with where the film has headed." Said co-writer and director Himeko Kurusugawa. "So many have supported our cause and our film! I'm so excited to see it happen."

Himemiya and Kurusugawa also have been actively promoting their film in the Gay/Lesbian community abroad and hope more will take an interest.

UPDATE

Today C&H Productions announced their film still only known as Project H (a potential title for the final product) has completed full production and is ready for it's release. Small screenings for the LGBT community will be shown around local pavilions in various Kuronan towns. Himemiya and Kursogawa have decided to let every company that is distributing this film internationally to decide what venue it will be distributed in. "While it certainly is fun to see a movie on the big screen with lots of people," Himeko K. said "We understand there isn't always a strong market, so we respect the decision." The film went into production last Spring thanks to many kind contributions by several donors, which will be given special mention at screenings as well as in the film credits.

At this point Himeko and her partner Chikane are accepting potential scripts.
"We want to expand the LGBT Entertainment Market more, and we hope this and many other ideas will be to come."

"Project H"

As a nation who's origins and founding can be connected back to the regime of Nazi Germany we find this film to highly troubling in that it paints the scenario of a modern government recreating a strictly homosexual genocide which reflects the targeted homosexuals of the 1940s in Europe who were unjustly sentenced to death camps under the anti-semantic regime produced by Adolf Hitler.

We, therefore, maintain the right to ban this film from Leichstur's movie theaters to avoid offending the descendants of ancestors who were part of the infamous SS such as his majesty, Prince Martin Leichstur II.

While his majesty is in full support of the homosexual community he feels that the film could be indirectly accusing our nation as being candidates of such a horrific genocide. Therefore, the film will be permitted to be released on DVD and Blu-Ray however TV spots and trailers will still be banned from Leichstur's cinemas and televisions as well as other advertisements.

Respectfully Yours,

A "Project H" torrent in the Internets got 40 million downloads even before the movie was officially released, with a record of 20 million downloads in only one day which almost broke the bandwidth. Nobody was willing to openly admit nobody cared about copyright in the Confederacy, although the numbers were a high indicative of the local opinion on such matters.

Like anything good that can be downloaded in the Confederacy, the movie became a great success of public, but not of revenues.

Nobody expected that Cecily Lockhelm would send a message about it.

Anarchist Confederacy International

From Cecily Lockhelm, Third Spanish head of States to Chikane Himemiya and Himeko Kurusugawa

The Confederacy of Third Spanish States is known for the unrestricted freedom of broadcast thanks to our Internet TV infrastructure, meaning that anyone can broadcast anything with little to no effort and no regulation at all for regulations are against freedom. Therefore we are one of the few countries where channels broadcasting Guinea Pig series and Cannibal Holocaust and alike daily do exist, and where equally news broadcasts with honest, admittedly biased but still accurate reports of facts replace the corporate and/or governmental lies doublespeak machine that fills people with lies and manipulated news claimed to be "unbiased".

It is only expecting that your work shall pass freely through all existing channels of communication in the Confederacy, specially as we have an open mentality about homosexuality and overall sex-related issues to the point the more conservative will certainly consider our nation "shocking". In fact, it has become quite popular here, but honestly I suspect it is because of a thing teenager boys have for lesbians.

And I fully support such act of exerting the fullest of freedom of speech. My only compunction is about the manner it centers into a single cause rather than on the holistic threat to freedom and true democracy that is any central government. I believe, like most of my people, that centering the context of a protest into a single cause is a partial blindfold to the greater whole that has provoked the problems against such cause. I hope that such suggestion might serve as inspiration for scripting your next work with a more holistic view over the problem of prejudice, which links to conservatism, fascism and even with the capitalists mean of production for as long as the mainstream makes homophobia profitable.

PS: I am not a lesbian myself, but I stand for unlimited freedom of choice. Traditions should be completely separated from law if it is to be truly effective, like religion should have no place in a government.

From C&H Productions Inc.:

To all interested tenders:

We wish it be known the following:

1. Project H (which is still the working title of the film) is not protected by international copyright law at this time. We consider it still under Free Media License and may be distrubted freely. Any funds we do receive go to further Lesbian Interest Films, to ourselves to maintain our daily lives and our small farm in Kurona, and to various charities both of LGBT and non LGBT interest.

2. C&H does not wish to implicate any nation in this. This story is a merely fictitious worst case scenario of what can happen if "x" factors are not handled properly. The fictional nation in which this takes place is unnamed and doesn't represent any major political of philosophical ideology other than "hate and prejudice." We are not pointing any fingers at any country as possibly doing this.

3. C&H respects and understands the will of any Government. We are obedient and only protest in the confines of the law. We respect whatever decision you chose and we hope you will consider accepting our film.

Thank you,

Himeko Kurusugawa and Chikane Himemiya.
