Full name: The space federation of Neo Kirisubo
Short name: Neo Kirisubo, N-K if abbreviated

Species: Asian humans, female dominated (90% female, 10% male)

Head of state : the Empress Fujiko; Prime minister Aiko Kayabuki
Religions: mainly Shintoists and Buddists. 2% of the population are Christians with 3% following Islam
Homeworld : A twin planet star system in the Federal Union system. This was gifted to the decimated Kirisubans after the loss of their old homeworld.
These worlds are mainly tropical and are called Kirisubo Primus and Kirisubo Beta.
A bio weapon attack by home grown terrorists resulted in the death of the home world as well as most of the population. The virus worked its way into the planet killing 90% of the population both animal and human.
With their allies help (Septhrioth, TFU and Terror Incognito) they settled in two different star systems. Some Kirisuban hard liners who honoured the old samurai ways went with the Septhrioth's to build their warrior nation and they are called the Kiribushi.
The people
It's been ten years since the relocation and the Neo Kirisubans are emerging again as explorers. All starships are female crewed and the crews are invariably young attractive women as well. Its rare to see a crew member of the exploration fleet in her 30's.
The species survived by adapting to the disaster that befell them. The men have to stay at home and they are used mostly for stud. Women have to have at least two children each and cloning was even experimented with briefly as well but abandoned.
Men have to donate regularly to sperm banks and / or help procreate the women in more natural ways.
Women rule the roost here but men have equality in most matters of domestic life.
Family life is usually built round two mothers and a few children who are generally girls. Lesbian relations and bi-sexuality are normal in the federation as a result given the shortage of men.
They have an amazon culture based round the old samurai ways of their forebears. Women have had to take on all male roles ever since the founding of the nation 200 years previously and this philosophy was in place even before the loss of their old home world.
They never surrender willingly and will self destruct their ships or commit suicide if they think they're going to be captured.
The sword and phaser still work together in this culture as these warriors peacefully explore the universe again in their cloaked and heavily armed starships. They never attack first but will fight to the death if attacked themselves.
Technology level
star trek type tech based on 23rd century standards. Include holodecks, cloaking devices and phasers. Their ships are based on older Romulan designs the pinacle of their ship design being the winged Samurai class cruiser.
This carries a very powerful plasma cannon as its main arnament but its only generally used by the defence fleet.
While interacting with MT nations they prefer to use MT weapons mainly Walther PPK automatic pistols an M-16 assault rifles instead of phasers.
The military
There are two main wings of this. The exploration fleet and the Defence fleet.
The defence fleet has the most powerful starships which are mainly agile gun platforms. These ships are warp capible and can put a lot more firepower than people expect them to.
The defence fleet also includes and army and airforce which are responsible for ground and air defences. Every able bodied adult is expected to do a term of service either in the exploration fleet or defence fleets and after this term is treated as a reservist.
They can be called back for more service if needed as well.
Civilian life
With the planets being tropical paradises and jungles cities and settlements are usually on the coasts of the land masses or islands. Theres no hunger, poverty and very little crime as money has been mostly eliminated. The credit is the currency but with the advent of smaller food replicators people have no needs.
The aim in life is to do your duty to the state and improve yourself. Clothing is usually light in nature given the tropical conditions people live in and light silk is very popular for formal and party wear. The classical kimono has never gone out of fashion here buts its made of cotton or rayon these days if its for general wear. 'Western' style light clothing is the norm although.
