Ustio North Broadcasting Corporation HQ - Breaking News Bulletin

Terry MacDonald sat at his desk. For this broadcast, he needed no paper with the facts on it. It was very, very simple. The floor manager raised his hand

"Live in five" he called. There was a slight quiver in his voice. No-one mentioned it though, as they all felt the same.

Terry dook a deep breath, and looked into the camera.

"We interrupt the usual programme to bring you this special news bulletin. Earlier today, the President and the Vice-President were reported as missing. Vanished, like ghosts. Police and Special Forces say that the security cameras in The House Of Knights saw nothing unusual. The President simply got up, left the room, and didn't return. As for Vice President MacTavish, his car was found in a motorway laybay with the engine still running. As yet, there have been no demands from terrorist organisations or other nations..."

An Undisclosed Location

The cell was dark, yet still quite high tech. Cameras, one way mirror glass etc. In the middle was a table with two chairs, one either side. On one side sat Gareth MacMillan, the Missing President.

From behind the mirror, two men watched him. One was dressed in a protective black suit, with a glass face mask and helmet. The other was dressed similarly. except he wore a black leather trenchcoat over his suit and an officers hat rather than a helmet.

The officer spoke "Are you sure it's him?"

"100% Sir. We cross referenced his parents DNA. He has it." Came the soldiers reply.

"Very well, observe him for 24 hours. I will deal with the Family.

"Yes sir" replied the soldier, before stepping out of the room.

The officer watched a moment longer, then left too.

After 3 days of with no sign of either President or Vice President and no demands from known terrorist organisations, the contenders for Presidency are coming forward.

1.) Tom White, Gareth MacMillan's best friend - A celebrated political student in his youth, Tom left politics to care for his family. He served with Gareth in the military for 2 years. Tom returned to Politics just before his friend went missing. He is being supported in his campaign by most of the current government, many of Ustio's population and the MacMillan family.

2.) Yakov Doydovsky, Leader Of The Oppostion Party - The man who ran against MacMillan during his campaign. He works as a Defence Atorney in his spare time. Has no military expeirience. Supported by the Ustian National Party and some in Ustio.

I assure you that all of Volzgrad is praying that your president comes home safely, and we might be able to help you with this. If you accept our help, then we will send the 2nd and 3rd Pathfinder Divisions, they are our best counter terrorist and spec ops forces we have. They will be deployed from Hi-67 transport helicopters at an airport of your choosing. Good luck, and we hope your president and vice president come home safely.

Thank you for your support, but we have the situation in hand. Hopefully, said persons will be found safe soon.

OOC: Thanks for the support, but he's not going to be found. He's been taken by the Special Research Division - He has a virus. This was essentially a way to call an election without killing him.
