The Princess Yukiko was a training ship for the defence fleet.

Ancient even by Neo Kirisuban standards these fusion engined system defence ships were now usually cargo haulers.

This one had a crew of 20 officer cadets, all aged 16 & 17 years, 20 regular defence force crew to train the officer cadets and one officer in charge, Lt Commander Sayuri Takamoto.

She was 28 and felt like a mother hen to all the young trainee officers. This was a routine cruise out past the Federal Union star system. She didn't expect combat on this trip given their proximity to allied space.

Still they cruised on at warp 2 as her students worked on their assigned tasks. They did have a cloaking device and today they'd be doing combat drills.

its armed with one forward phaser bank, two forward launching photon torpedo tubes and short range defence missiles.

Due to NK forces being met by Alliance marines on the battle of necropolis(that planet where Ari and Patterson are in orbit) cloaked, small scout fleets had been tresspasing into systems marking planets for future assimilation. This paticular Seeker fleet contained three shredder frigates with a compliment of ten Contact fighteers and three Solar bombers. They waited for any enemy contact to pass by they would then engage.

This paticular NK ship with a mostly green crew was about to trip the line.

They were running uncloaked for now just cruising in international space. Reports of the actions on Necropolis had still to reach home because news hadn't been sent by the Empress Keiko.

This lone ship was heading into an ambush and its time was short. They just didn't know it yet.

As soon they they entered the triangle-trap(your ship is in the center of a triangle, a AIW ship at every point, thust three ships in the form of a triangle.) The ships decloaked and began to charge weapons and shields.

" We are the Alliance, lower your shields and surrender your ships, you are outnumberd, life as you and your companions know it will be adadpted to service us, defiance will be met with violence."

The normal response of a Neo Kirisuban ship under attack was to cloak and try and get away especially if it was heavily outnumbered.

"Red alert" Lt Commander Sakamoto ordered. At least her bridge crew wasn't made up of green officer cadets. This was about the only bright spot she could see as the Princess Yukiko was like a fly in a spiders web right now.

Outnumbered, outgunned and a prime target for entering into unity. Help wouldn't arrive in time and she knew it. They really were on their own as she heard the demand they surrender.

"cloak the ship" she also ordered and settled into a game of hide and seek unaware that thanks to a certain Lt Ari Susato details of their cloaking device were now in enemy hands.

They might even be able to be detected as the ship faded away in the blackness of space and its evasive manoevers at warp one continued.

Indeed Lt.Ari's joining the Alliance had enabled them to get whatever information that was in her. This included there cloaking device, which's information was spread throught the Alliance ranks and downloaded into all ships, although it was still hard to stay on track of the faded vessle, they had a weak signal. The Seeker fleet opend up with plasma-rays and plasma torpedoes, hoping to take here cloak and sheilds out, they wanted there enemys alive.

As the battle raged at warp speed a lucky blast of fire firstly took out the warp drive and they leaked energy as well as losing valuable ships power.

The cloaking device then failed and they had to evade on impulse power. Everything seemed to be going wrong as fire beat against their shields and their own return firepower was weak in comparison hitting the lead shredders shields.

"How could they have spotted us?" Sayuri quietly asked herself as the firepower continued to pour in on them.

By now the shields were weakening as she spoke into her command chair as her crew spread out to defend the ship against boarding.

"Computer initiate self destruct. Code Sakamoto-0321" she said looking over to the conn officer who would have to add her code next. It took two codes to set events in motion.

Meanwhile a group of five officer cadets were charged with holding the south airlock but only two of them could be really classed as warriors as they shouldered their phaser rifles. One was a medical student, another a shuttle pilot, one an engineer and the last two were security.

They looked the part wearing kevlar helmets and body armour along with long swords but the others didn't. They were just frightened young girls trying to survive.

The Seekers continued pounding the shields until they were gone, beams began to envelope the the ship as Alliane Marines were boarding the areas, most of the marines rifles were on stun while some others would be set to kill as screams and firefights erupted.

on the bridge Ensign Takeda added her code and a two minute silent countdown started.

Alliance forces were facing Neo Kirisuban's fighting for their lives as they had their weapons on kill. Deadly firefights were breaking out on all decks.

Alliance parties had even been able to beam into the bridge as a firefight errupted there in the small round bridge. Hand phasers blasts met blasts from Alliance weapons as they fought like the amazons they were.

Surrender wasn't in the Neo Kirisuban vocabulary as they fought on trying to buy time so they could take as many Alliance forces with them as they could. The ship lay dead in space as main engineering had finally fallen so this was all they could do.

At the south airlock a desperate firefight was taking place but now this mixed group of officer cadets was in danger of being flanked and trapped in the corridors as they fought a fighting retreat.

NK forces fell as did Alliance Marines as they battled the amazon race. A Alliance marine's head was hacked off. Stunning was happeing all over the ship as NK forces fell, some commiting suicide before capture. A Balderian by the name of Anik raised his Plamsa-ray rifle and fired on stun towards one of the youngings in he mixed group, his squad of swarmites and calverians also entered the room firing, three of them falling from incoming NK fire.

Many of the crew saved one phaser blast for themselves as Alliance forces backed them into a corner.

At this stage only the south airlock and the bridge were still being contested but only the comms officer and tactical officer were still fighting here.

The others had already moved onto the next world but these two young women were still fighting as corpses littered the bridge.

One minute had passed on the countdown and these women were determined to keep the countdown ticking.

Leading the south airlock team was officer-cadet Emi Kobayashi. They'd moved into a science lab by now but had already had to leave the pilot cadet Asami Abe behind.

Now there was four and any alliance forces trying to get at them was getting deadly phaser blasts in return as they fought hard.

The three Shredders now worked together to hack into there computer systems and stop the countdown, but Alliance marines were still beaming NK's to there ships, so that this engagement was not fruitless. Fifty marines had been lost in this engagement so far, mostly due to not knowing there way around the ship and being set up by these amazons. Asambi Abe was stunned on site when a Calaverian entered the room and opend up on her. The fighting for other sections of the ship were intense, but more and more Alliance marines were beamed in, a couple of black insurgents included, they were the elite of the alliance, cloaked and deadly at close range with there blades, and lethal and long range with there freeze guns, but for the situation they were using plasma-ray rifles set on stun.

When the bridge finally fell only the comms officer Ensign Ai Otsuko was alive but stunned. The other bridge officers were dead.

The ship was now under control of the Alliance and the countdown had been halted when the computers were hacked. Despite the crews best efforts its had happened but the team still fighting near the south airlock didn't know the self destruction had been stopped.

So they still fought like demons sending more marines to the afterlife but having to leave behind people as they went. This time as they backed of into the adjoining lab the medical student Ayumi Hamasaki was dropped.
Her comm badge was a snake wrapped round a pole which marked out her department.

Three weapons were still firing as they kept fighting unaware they were the last remaining fighters on board ship.

Anik picked Ayumi and beamed her back to the ship, all of the crew that was being stunned were beamed to the brigs, they had plasma bars and were kept warm enough for survival. fifteen more marines were killed by N-K firepower, the last three shooters were quickly silenced, either killed or stunned.

When the battle did end Fukado Kyoko was dead and the team found themselves reunited again in a brig.

They were disarmed, unconcious and officer cadets Asami Abe, Ayumi Hamasaki, Emi Kobayashi and Chise Nakamura were dishonoured.

In their little cells they were out cold but would awake to the beginning of a nightmare. Something they never imagined they'd have to face. They were all 16 years old and friends. The bonds of loyalty were strong between them.

A distress signal had been sent prior to the shields failing and even with subspace radio it would take four hours to reach NK exploration command. Help would never arrive in time but the ships fate would be known.

The fleet hit hyperspace and headed for the planet now designated as Terracropolis, they would meet Ari and she could help the proccess with the young ones on, they would arrive rather shortly, in about thirty minutes. The vessle was left abandoned due to its damage. Water was thrown on the cadets to wake them up, they would be met by Colonle Anik of this seeker fleet, his muscular reptile appearance struck fear into the hearts of his enemys, he wore chrome chain mail energy resistant armor, he took off his head gear and eyed them, licking his fangs with his forked tounge.

The water had the desired effect as the young women opened their eyes.

First they took in the fact they were alive, in a cell and could see each other through the 'bars'.

He might have caused fear to others but not to these amazons.

Emi stood up and simply looked at him crossing her arms and still looking defiant. If she had a blaster she'd have added Colonel Anik to the body count her team had racked up.

"Under space law I'm only supposed to tell you one thing.

Officer cadet Emi Kobayashi, Kobayashi-112" she said with no fear in her voice as she recited her name, rank and serial number.

Ayumi was crying softly as the reality of what was happening hit her. She was dead as were her team and she doubted even the kami knew where they were. Nobody would be rescuing them now.

She missed her other friends and her family back home and she cried for them not for herself.

Anik reached through the bar and grabbed her by her throat lifting her in the air with his muscular arm, moving her head from side to side, checking her features, before dropping her. " I am Colonle Anik, We are the Alliance, you will be assimilated into unity." he walked away as they exited hyperspace over the planet, Anik hailed Patterson and Ari on the bridge " Commander Sir, I got N-K captives from one of our ambushes." Patterson turned to Ari as they were beamed to Anik's frigate the " Achilles". When they were aboard Patterson looked at her " I think it would be best if you talked to them."

After she was grabbed and then dropped Emi looked even more defiant and then the waiting game began for them.

By now Ari Susato had a strong link to the others and already knew what had happened on the Princess Yukiko.

There was other captives on other ships but these were the youngest prisoners and they reminded her so much of her self.

So stopping by the armoury to pick up a bio grenade she decided to quicken the process up a bit.

"At least we speak the same language Commander" she said to him as they entered the brig. She was wearing her chrome race suit which was a copy of the young ones uniform. A pistol was on her left hip and the grenade was in her right hand.

She looked at all of the captives and decided to talk to the medic first in her own language.

name, rank and serial number she asked the reply being "medic-cadet Ayumi Hamasaki, Hamasaki-120".

The young womans voice was frail and she looked like she was in the worst mental shape of them all. She wasn't used to combat and her medical vows still held. 'First do no harm' was still her motto.

Ari noticed the medical comm badge and gave her an encouraging smile. The Alliance didn't have doctors but she could well be the first.

Anik turned to Ari, he sensed her thoughts everyone did " She could very well become that" he said to her " We need to download them first, we dotn want a bunch of dummys."

"Off course we don't but these ones will take sometime to come round to our way of thinking. Time we have" she quietly replied to Anik before she pulled the pin on the grenade and threw at at Emi's cell.

The cells were close enough to be in the blast radius and the bio grenade went of with a bang as the infections got to work with these prisoners.

"Now we take them to be downloaded" she said with a little smile on her face. The process had started and within days these young women would be in unity with their new brothers and sisters no matter what they thought personally about that.

Swarmite guards marched in and took them to the "downloader chair" where they could be mind-saved. The assimilatioin would actually increase seeing as the Imitators were evolving to the NK phyiology. The proccess this time would take but a day. Anik watched with interest, he saluted Patterson and left to his ship. This seeker fleet had decided on staying in orbit, brining the fleet's strength to:

four shredder frigates, 110 fighters and 52 bombers, three Nova Warships and a Scavenger battlecruiser, space was indeed safe around the planet, the planet itself was almost on there side, as the rivers fed the infection to the planets plants and animals.

After this process the friends looked a bit dazed and had been extremely surprised to see another of their race.

Their memories had gone for now but they were still loyal to each other as swarmite guards kept them separated. Something even a download couldn't take away from them.

Ari could sense some of their thoughts already but the link was very weak. She could sense the most hostility coming from the young engineer but she'd come round in time.

Patterson walked next to each one of them explaining what was happening " You might not like us, that's fine because it dosnt matter what you think, you will become one with us, so get used to it. You have no defense against us, so there is no point in attempting to fight back. You will become our brothers and sisters, just as Ari has done." The voices of comfort began to become more powerful within the young ones.

They shivered which took their minds of the anger they had for a little bit of time.

The voices were also starting work through their heads and they could even sense each others feelings by now although this was weak.

"We'll still try although" Asami firmly replied, her pilots wings clearly visable on the right sleeve of her red wrap over top.

Although ultimately futile this level of determination and loyalty to each other would give the N-K an edge over other assimilated prisoners.

Chise gave both Ari and Patterson a hard determined look instead of speaking. She didn't say much at the best of times.

Patterson smiled " It's fine, go ahead, as you see Ari has come into unity and is fine with it, please explain what they expect, the fruits of the Alliance, equality, peace, with unity comes harmony"

"You'll all gain so many brothers and sisters you won't believe it. I can also see from your downloads we have a pilot, engineer, a prospective doctor and a warrior.

All skills the Alliance can use and you will use once you join us in unity" Ari replied before concentrating and sending thoughts to Patterson.

Asami is a shuttle pilot. I wouldn't waste her in a bomber or fighter. She might even be able to pilot a starship given time she mentally said to him recognising this special talent the young girl had.

Patterson replyed to Ari Your probably right, and we can begin a medical corps, and the enginneer will be put in a similar squad as yours, the soldier will be put into the 32nd Alliance Marines, unless you have any other suggestions. he linked that to Ari, as he smiled at the prisoners quietly.

I'd have to agree with you Commander. They also have a strong spirit which will enrich all of us she mentally replied in return.

She knew there was other prisoners from the Princess Yukiko but the young ones looked very promising.

The other prisoners that showed nothing speacial were quickly assimilated, not bothering with returning there brains, they would learn from there brothers and sisters. Patterson had swarmites set up microscopes showing there prisoners what was happening inside them as the imitator cells mimiced and took over other cells spreading.

None of the young ones were scientists but Ayumi could see what was happening more clearly than the rest of them as the voices got louder in their heads.

The comforting voices would bring them into unity before too long.

"What will we turn into?" she asked Patterson.

Ari was taking the chance to look at the other downloads. The chief medical officer had gotten her memories as well as her nurses. The scientists and the comms officer hadn't but their learned skills were intact.

The other engineers had been designated as light combat engineers but the decision had already been made. Twenty five new N-K people had joined the alliance and all from a single raid even although they had fought like demons regardless of their other skills.

The amazon spirit was still there and she could sense it in the unity of the Alliance.

Meanwhile back at exploration command the report from the Empress Keiko had finally filtered back. Their commanders actions had been justified since the alternative would have been surrender but now that made any N-K ship an AIW target.

After the distress signal had been received two samurai class cruisers were sent to investigate the Princess Yukiko.

It was drifting in space and was brought home under tow. After checking the crew roster with the dead they found 25 crew missing. The Alliance had harvested this crew and it was time for new thinking. What they had known the Alliance now knew and things had to change on board ships as a result.

Patterson ran a hand down her cheek " You will become us, and then we will continue our struggle to bring those who oppose us into unity within the Alliance, with unity comes harmony." he smiled after saluting Ari and returning to his command chair at the bridge.

OCC: the N-K imitators are under your complete control ^^ you can put them all into one unit if you really want to.

Ayumi managed a little smile as the comforting voices continued to reassure her.

The others would feel the same way eventually and they'd be wearing the chrome suit as well.

She returned a bow as as the young women continued their transformation having been moved to living quarters for now and issued with the chrome race suits.

Tapping into the downloads again she made another discovery and walked over to Commander Patterson.

"You know that comms officer,Ai Otsuko is also a shuttle pilot" she quietly mentioned to him.

ooc: its easier if they're split up and its to be expected since theres so few N-K's compared to other races in the Alliance.

The exception would be the medical team since theres a Doctor, two nurses and a medical cadet. They need to be kept together.

Patterson " Lt. your needed in the virtual reality room, we will discuss this later, Colonle Aniks orders."

Ari bowed and left heading to the the VR room.

She'd find out what was in store for her later as she swept of the bridge.
