Millennia of exile, untold centuries without seeing the world that they so loved, enslaved, oppressed, spending what seemed to be infinite amounts of time being tortured by their cruel masters. Now at last they were freed from bondage and could once again return to freedom. Return to their home world, the world which had continued to survive in their songs and in all their legends. All of which told of a beautiful garden world where they people had thrived for generations before their masters came and took them away to toil as laborers, as nothing more than mere, slaves.
Yet, now after all their dreams of returning to their ancestral home world; the world in which all their hopes of the future had been based upon for the revival as a whole and free people, were now dashed. So now their small fleet of great world ships entered into the star system of their birth they found nothing but desolate waste worlds and a number of remains from the space battles that occurred thousands of years ago.
The commander of the fleet stared with sorrow as he passed his people’s ancient home world was nothing but a glass desert, a world that had been glassed by their old masters when they had conquered his people and their true home world. All had been lost it seemed to him, their history had been utterly exterminated long ago and with it any hope of his people every truly being free from their old masters. Whom had only provided a couple world ships to transport millions of his people back to their ancient home world. To add to this they only provided enough fuel for his people to go to their system and enough to return to the system that they had originally departed their master’s domain from. Then it came to the Commander, that their former masters never intended to let them go free, but they intended to let them go in order to sap any hope of freedom that his people might still have by letting them see their old home world in utter ruin. That by only giving them enough fuel to travel to their home system and back again to their former place of enslavement, which if they returned to their master has promised that if they returned their lives would be spared yet they would be returned to slavery if they ever did.
As the rest of the fleet came and saw what had been to their world so long ago the common folk were distraught and immediately most of them entered into a type of moaning that their culture practiced when they were still enslaved. The leaders of their people and the entire fleet in turn, the Fleet Directory, immediately meet in order to find a solution for their predicament and now knew all to well what their masters had intended from the very beginning.
The Fleet Directory began to quickly debate weather or not to find salvation in their former masters, which was the only certain hope that but it would that they would face a certain return to slavery as a result of this course of action. In the meantime the small defense force that had been created to maintain order in the fleet was quickly deployed to disperse all the assembled crowds and to keep the situation from getting any worse then they were already by the people causing disorder.
During the time the Fleet Directory debated the defensive force of the fleet was pressed and was forced to severely limit the overall movements of the people throughout the fleet and no longer tolerated large assemblies of civilians anywhere.
After a total of one week of ceaseless debate the Fleet Directory finally decided that they must press on, with the blessings of their lords ancient foes the Eternals, and that they would not submit to their masters’ rule again and that they would rather die then be enslaved once more.
The Commander then read the message that the Fleet Directory had prepared for the public with a number of his own statements add in an as well,” My fellows, I certain that you all know me well enough, that I an Commander Gramat. That I have faced death on countless occasions in order for a chance that our people might one day enjoy freedom. Yet, now our former ‘masters’ seek to trick us into returning willingly to slavery and to the lash, to this I say nay. So I and the Fleet Directory have decided unanimously to keep pressing on no matter what and to find a new home for our race and to live as a free people like our ancestors of old did.”
Hearing the Commander’s message many of the common denizens of the fleet were placated for the time being and agreed that even death was better then a return to slavery. So it had started a journey to find a new world, a journey to rebuild a ancient civilization which had been lost to the ages, till now…
OOC: Tech level of the fleet is similiar to, well it can up hold to Star Wars tech.:p

OCC: i want to join this, but idk if my race is really good for this one, i could put an agent on board your ship after you stop by and investigate a world that's being imitated and one of your men drink the water.

As their fleet was prowling their ancient home system for any resources that might help their fleet in their soon be complete exodus, due to their lack of resources. The various smaller ships that had been sent out to gather what resources they can were able to gather ice for water, traces of oxygen from the atmospheres of the now desolate worlds, and collecting what artifacts that they could find quickly from the surface of home world so as to have some physical evidence of what they once were and what they were fighting to become once more.
One of the ships, in orbit around their old home world, found an entire standing structure that was successfully hidden during the conquest of their system so long ago by it being hidden on the dark side of the moon it was on. Quickly the discovery of the structure was contained by the Fleet Commander and he ordered to the structure a large number of marines, to secure the building, and a good deal of scientists to study what secrets and technologies that the structure might hold from their ancient past.
With the Marines having checked the building thoroughly and having secured the perimeter of it, the scientists quickly overwhelmed the structure. The building itself was relatively small, but it turned out it was something of a experimental facility that had large quantities of advanced data from the times before they had been enslaved. As the scientists dug up whatever they could find from the surviving databases they also began an effort of recording every single piece of data that they could recover from the achieves and the building about their ancient past.
The scientists were able to make one important discovery, the discovery of the ancient gene ark of their people that would allow them to again build their great genetically altered soldiers who so long ago fought their old masters, and had nearly won. So with these soldiers available once again they might well be able to launch a war to allow them to rebuild their civilization as an interstellar once.
OOC: Read it and do not like the idea of having some virus able to affect nearly any biotic life form. As the genes of this race have a number of different chemicals in it and have a different type of protein combinations.

The scientists of the fleet began to quickly begin to create laboratories across the fleet where they might begin the construction of their new army using the gene seed of fore fathers. With it they would earn a place for their people in this vast universe, they would take new worlds for their people to dwell upon, and they would at last conquer peace and freedom for the whole of their people.
The gene seed itself the scientists of the fleet discovered from reading the old archives basically increased the strength of the individual five to eight fold, increased overall running speed three fold, allowed the endurance level of the individual to go up two hundred and eighty percent, grew a secondary back up major organs, fused the various bones of the chest to generate a solid shield of bone, doubled the strength and width of the spine, expanded the size of the heart(s) by two hundred and sixty percent, introduced a new type of cell that actively cleared out fatty formations in the blood streams and that would form a seal to around any non-mortal wound in under four minutes, increased life span by three time, added a new chemical production gene to the body that would allow an individual’s body to continue to act even when they were extremely tired, increased blood flow to the eyes that helped increase eyesight by eighty percent, reflexes exponentially increased, placed three gene seed organs throughout the body that would allow for the genes needed to be harvested directly from the individual instead of needing to build up new genetic material in the lab, placed cleaner cells on the muscles to absorb any chemical waste quickly and efficiently, bones widen, joints made more sturdy, stretched out all the parts of the body except the head, increased lung capacity in order to allow the individuals to hold their breath for up to eighteen minutes, muscles hardened and expanded to make them stronger overall and allow them to act as an layer of armor, increased hearing ability by ten fold, smell receptor sensitivity by twenty two fold, skin able to sense heat up to sixty feet away, increased average eye sight distance by four fold, and allowed the individual implanted with the gene seed to see in the dark with the same ability as owls or types of cats.
The scientists themselves had already begun the setting up of special gene tanks, filled with chemical cocktail derived from the structure’s archives and from a number of surviving examples. In these they would place the best and finest of the males of their species so that they might become the hammer by which their species future would be forged.
At the same time the fleet began construction of twenty thousand suits of armor that the first of their race’s champions would go into battle dawning. The armor itself was based upon designs from the structure with the design being that of large titanium armor armed with a arm mounted laser machine gun on the right,, night vision goggles, a shoulder mounted light plasma cannon, a fairly advanced gas mask, a computer interface goggle like thing, and on the right a power pike of sword.

Six Months Later:
After saving every scrap of food that they could, reusing everything, and scrounging for what they could from the system the very first Victors Legion had been created, and had it had been dubbed the Reclaimers.
With their very first legion ready the fleet of the Vreans, 'those who return' the name they had taken for themselves in their own language, now departed and used a rather dangerous method of travel they devised that would allow them to use a quarter of the fuel that their ships normal travel would allow them, but it involved essentially using fuel to create a single burst of energy to literally shot them at faster then light speeds to a predetermined destination at a general angle. The downside was that while it was fuel efficient it allowed for around a five percent trajectory error in it, which meant that they might end up in a wholly alien system.
Still undeterred they used this method and projected themselves into space not knowing where they would go...
Coming to a sudden stop the hulks of the fleet were shaken by the sudden slow in speed, but pushed on forward, Though they had randomly shoot a nearby star without knowing what would they would find their, they had been rather lucky in that though the system would not make a suitable place for colonization it did have oxygen in the form it being in the atmospheres of the system, ice for water, and various organic compounds that could be turned into a paste suitable for a fairly nutritious meal for their race, which had been genetically altered by their old masters in order to allow them to survive in areas which were basically inhospitable for others due to a lack of food.
Yet, they detected on a small base in the system due to a radio and immediately set a message in the system making their intentions clear that all they wanted to do was to amass the resources they needed in order to continue on with their journey and assured they had no violent intentions, save if they were attacked. Never trusting anyone they prepared their Victor Legion in the case of battle and put their few warships on ready, but otherwise did not order their ships to charge weapons and they did not dispatch their landing craft.
OOC: Generally anyone may rp an response, though to note I do not want a fleet to show up and attack mine as my fleet does not have any real interest in taking over this system as they are seeking a new fertile world to be their new home.

Sol Kureach sat in the Evac-Ship's command center, just like every day of his life for the past 9 years. Or was it 10? Yeah, 10, that was how long he was elected leader of Evac-Ship A. There were probably 20 people in the command center, and their jobs were to find another sign of life, and hope they are freindly to the Humans and Katash. Unfortunatly, the ship was very out of date. The ship was build 180 years prior to the evacuation, so even basic navigation nowdays was better than this, this crap. Sol turned on a hologram of the known universe, and used his finger to trace the route of the spaceship; it was just a map, it didn't show the location of their ships. Okay...So if Earth was here, we should be here...
"Aw, what the hell! The power's down!"
At that exact moment of fear, a Katash man ran through the dooes of the command center, screaming something about 'two weeks worth of food left' and 'only engines are working'
"Calm down, Michael. If you hadn't noticed, we have enough food and power for 200,000 people for 200 years. And you of all people should know that we have less of both at the moment."
"Approxamatly, sir, approxamatly. Evac-Ship C's completely out. We need to find some freindly form of civilization, and fast!"
Sol looked out the window to space, and pointed his finger towards a spec of silver in the sea of black. "Wow, that was quick, wasn't it." A long pause was made as everyone inside the command center looked out into space. "Ok men, what the hell are you doing? Get radio contact now! Send two Troy-Class Elete with Star-Fighters towards the station, and let them know we come in peace. And tell Evac-Ship C, they'll be happy to hear this.
And after nearly 200 years of roaming in the endless space, the evacuees of Earth within the Evac-Ships A & C finally reached another form of civilization. The rumors spread pretty quickly that they would be saved, all throughout the 397,000 people in the two Evac's. The Katash, however, were less enthusiastic; they wanted a planet. The Katash were almost one with nature, and there was no nature on a space station. Hopefully they thought, They can send us to a planet, with lots of trees and water.

The little planet only had a string of numbers and numerals to its name in the official Republican celestial registry, but the members of the Neo-Roman surveying expedition that had been living on it for the past six months were already calling it Hyacintha. It was a shortened version of Terra Hyacintha, after the abundant flowering plants that carpeted the rolling hills and the open woodlands of the little world; they reminded the Neo-Romans of a similar flower native to their homeworld, which was itself named for its resemblance to the hyacinths of Old Earth. Hyacintha was an ideal place for Neo-Roman settlement: a tranquil world, with vast tracts of virgin untouched wilderness for the somewhat reclusive Neo-Romans to seclude themselves in.
Far above the planet, resting easily at Hyacintha's 2nd Lagrange point, the Nike-class corvette Sarpedon was abuzz with activity. Trierarch Fabius Borealis strode onto the bridge, taking in the data readouts that were spilling onto the great holoscreen that dominated the center of the room. His second-in-command, Centurion Marcus Dolabella, acknowledged his arrival with a shout of "Trierarch on the bridge!"
"What do we have, Dolabella?" Borealis asked, flicking his hand at the command console to call up the deep scan readouts on the holoscreen. Hyacintha and the other celestial bodies in her system showed up in green, with all Neo-Roman vessels, installations and personnel groups marked in blue. What stood out was the group of unknown contacts on the other side of Hyacintha's star marked in yellow, that were steadily penetrating further into the system.
"Unidentified vessel group just translated from FTL in-system, domine," Dolabella reported. "They have noticed us, and sent a radio transmission." The centurion keyed a command on the console that played the audio message; predictably, the words were gibberish. "We already have routed it to the decryption AI," Dolabella continued as the message played. "Provincial Fleet Command has been notified as well."
"Respond with the standard first-contact package," Borealis said, pursing his lips as he watched the unidentified blips drift across the holoscreen. "The surveying station has been notified?"
"Of course, domine. Their instruments are monitoring our guests as well, and they have recalled all personnel from the field."
"Prime the gate, just in case," Borealis answered. "I see no need to call reinforcements, but let's give Provincial Command the option."
The Sarpedon sent the same basic message over several radio frequencies in all languages known to the Republic, as well as a number of different mathematical encryptions, including binary: "Unidentified vessels, you have entered a system claimed by The Republic. Please stand down and identify yourselves, and state your reasons for being here."

Commander Gramat, while sitting in one of the few true warships of the fleet, received the message. Deciding that it would be best to act quickly he exercised the powers delegated to him during the course of their journey, which essentially gave him absolute control over the entire fleet and even the Fleet Directory. So he decided that he would respond for this entire race.
Musing to himself, Gramat wondered on what threat an outpost such as this could pose to the future of his people. But, he decided that it would be unwise to start any conflict, but ordered that his soldiers and ship remain on alert for the time till at least they were able to determine the objectives of the people who had claim to this star system and had a rightful claim to all the resources of this star system.
Gramat then sent this response,” We are the Vreans. We ourselves are on a path to gain for ourselves a new home world from which we might begin the reconstruction of our ancient civilizations. As for what we are doing in this system, we are just gathering resources that we need in order to continue on our journey.”

Borealis crossed his arms as the new message was received. The first transmission had been translated by now, and that data was used to cross-reference with the new transmission; a translation spilled out beneath the original within seconds. These aliens were apparently able to make sense of the Neo-Romans' own messages, which was helpful. There'd be no coming to blows over things lost in translation, then.
Which brought him to the heart of the issue: what to tell them now? Altruism to outsiders wasn't the biggest of Neo-Roman values... but the fact of the matter was, these 'Vrean' had multiple warships against his lone corvette, so they could easily take what they wanted if he refused. But they had asked politely from the start, so they deserved the same in return.
"Hail them with a direct channel," the Trierarch said to the communications officer. The CO complied, and they all waited for the Vrean to accept.

Commander Gramat promptly order that the direct channel be opened with the Neo-Romans and said at first," Good day to you sir and I wish to introduce myself as Commander Gramat, leader of the Fleet of All Vreans."
