Logan and Ky

ooc: For those of you who knew the country of Kroando, pay attention. Kroando no longer exists as a country on nationstates. He was in the process of invading my country when he quit, so this rp will focus on my country finding out why the Kroandon troops pulled out and why the country has fallen into complete silence/solitude.
IC:
The sun rose over the horizon for the first time in months. The smoke from the burning city of New Hilingrad had finally drifted away. The generals were confused. Why would the Kroandon's pull out just as they were starting to move inland? They would find out in the coming weeks... but first it was time to bury the dead. Hundred's of thousands of Kyan troops died in the conflict, and you would be hard pressed to find a family in Logan and Ky that wasnt somehow affected by the brief but bloody Kroandon war, whether it be by a dead relative, a destroyed home, or otherwise.
New Hilingrad, Logan and Ky's oldest and second largest city, lay in ruins. Ballistic missiles, napalm strikes, artillery bombardments, and high explosives turned the once mighty city into a burning pile of rubble. Slowly but surely, the first advance teams since the Kyan retreat began moving into the city.
"This is disgusting," said the Corporal Alexei Golubev through a gas mask as he and his squad made their way through the destroyed streets.
It was now mid november, and New Hilingrad lies just above the arctic circle. As such, the 400,000 bodies in the city were now frozen in place. Destroyed tanks and other vehicles lay strewn about the street randomly. It was almost as if the weather had frozen the battle itself.
The first advance teams were now moving across the city. Suddenly, to their surprise, they heard gunshots. Two squads quickly ran in the direction of the shots. The soldiers gasped as they saw several wounded Kroandon soldiers, one unable to stand, engaged in a firefight with a Kyan deadbolt (an elite sniper/supersoldier). The advance teams closed in around the Kroandon's and quickly ordered them to throw down their weapons, which they did. The advance teams soon learned that scenarios like this had been happening ever since the official end of the war a month ago, and that the city of New Hilingrad was now a hellhole for the survivors within it.
Most Kyan troops had left during the great retreat, but thousands of wounded soldiers had been left behind, as well as hundreds of snipers that had been intended to assasinate Kroandon officials. The Kyan advance teams were now appalled to learn of the conditions in the city. Many wounded Kroandon's had been left in the city as well when the Kroandon's pulled out. The stragglers, most of them wounded, had been killing each other as well as trying to survive since the city was abandoned. Many people had turned to cannibalism and other nasty things to survive.
Antartika- 2 months later
Hundreds of freighter turned military ships now tried to break through the thick ice to get to the shore of Kroando's home country. Sattelite images of the Kroandon's mega cities showed no people on the streets. The grand Kroandon navy was left abandoned in their various colonial ports. The thousands of Kroandon tanks and planes lay immoble. Most noticeable of all was that not a single person was manning KODS, the Kroandon's impenitrable missile defence system. This was tested with the launching of a single non nuclear ballistic missile at Kroando's shore. Normally these would be taken down in a second, but this one was not. Logan and Ky could destroy all of Kroando at any moment, but instead choose to find out why one of the most powerful countries on earth was essentially dead.
As they first Kyan soldiers stepped onto the frigid shores, they wondered what would await them... and what they, or it, would do.
