OOC:
Hell yea. Its bases of everything Asgard and is the favoured resorce for replication of the replicaters. It is rather dense and very strong, safe to assume it isn't easily coroded aswell cause replicaters use acid :P

OOC: I'll take that as a no. Neutronium is pure neutrons condensed down to the point where there's little to no space between them. It's not particularly strong (as the only thing that holds it together is gravitational force, there's no chemical bonding), though it is dense, and rest assured that there's no feasible way to actually put it in a blade. It would mass millions of times as much as the wielder, which would make it somewhat inconvinient. Just a heads-up.

IC: There was little enough to do, beyond enforcing the quarantine. The Realm drones circled closed and closer to the infected ships, prepared to fire if they came too close to the station.

"Wow!" Naomi repeated, looking over the hangar herself, she was joined in her escapade by three Marines who were looking over the area. Naomi turned to the Captain,
"Who do you think was here?" She asked, she had never seen anything like it. She was delighted by this discovery, the first Alversian to ever see anything like this before.
The asteroid station
'I don't know. I don't think anyone has been here for a long, long time cause there is no signs of any, err, pirate activity.'

He pointed at the shining screen far ahead of them.

'You see the screen over there? It wouldn't be there if any pirate had been here. They take everything they can get their hands on, you know.'

He paused briefly and then continued.

'C'mon, let's see if we can get that door open...'

At the refueling station
With a flash the fleet arrived a the station, splitting in two - one headed for the western side and the other for the east.

Aboard the Siwerian Whore, Romerick was strapped onto his chair.
'We've got five targets ahead, two of them in our perimeter! All units - fire at will! Where the hell is the Immense?!'

He knew that might have a chance as they had taken the initiative for this surprise attack. Maybe, and just maybe, they weren't that well defended.

OOC: No worries, Moravria. These pirate ships are of poor quality and they can't stand a chance against an organized defense. They will be destroyed or leave to find the Immense.

'C'mon, let's see if we can get that door open...'

"Pirates?"

Naomi raised her thin eyebrows but continued to press forward while some of her Marines helped the Captain with the door. Naomi was being fed constant updates by her First Officer on the quality of the air, the amount of air and their internal body temperatures. If something went wrong, they would know.

"What kind of vessels to the pirates use out here? Frigates, Battleships? Fighters?" She asked as she swept across the station with her flashlight.

There was another green flas as the city-ship Atlantia droped out of transwarp and began to head to the Gunthar, sending out a message to it and the other ships This is Atlantia, we are bringing Defcon troops to clear the Exno infestation aboard the DES Gunthar!

"Govener, we are detecting a fleet of small craft, they have powerd up weapons and are headed to the Gunthars postion(OOC: i think they are arn't they?)" said the man in the controle chair into his intercom
"Prepair to transport the survivers off the Gunthar and and plot a course between it and the pirates, bring the turbo lasers online and open fire on anthing that trys to get close to it, exept the Templars and Chupakabra ships."
"Will do sir" rewplyed the 'chair operater', following thrugh the comands via neural interface.

The asteroid station
'Yeah, pirates. I don't know for sure, but I haven't seen any larger ships than what you would class as fighters or smaller frigates. Actually, there's really nobody in this whole sector who has got a larger battleship, except the banecreons aged imperial cruisers....'

With a dull noise the door went open, and out of it came a strange smell. A smell that reminded them that this door hadn't been opened for years, decades and even centuries. The inside was pitch black.

'There we go. Some light here please?'
Alversia

"Got it" Naomi shone her flashlight into the room, "So," She said lightly, "What have we got here?" She asked again.

They both looked in to what seemed to be a wide, long corridor also made in concrete, except the floor wich looked just as some kind of shiny metal.
With an excited step he was stepped inside, and suddenly - with a low clicking sound - the corridor was filled with light coming from the now shining white ceiling. A couple of screens further down the corridor started to flimmer.

'Woah...what did I do now?!'

He nervously said. He walked further down the corridor with Naomi and the marines not far behind, when the shiny floor underneath them turned into some sort of direction guide with glowing red, blue and yellow lines going all straight forward to the very end of the corridor.
A small text was on the side of each line. The red one read "OUTER MEETING HALL", the blue "ARMORY" and the yellow "INNER BARRACKS".

'Alright, as there's only one door - I guess we don't have the luxury of choosing what colour we want to go with' He laughed.

Naomi looked on calmly, when in truth, she was thrilled. The Alversians had never seen anything like this and now she was exploring it. Her, the 21 year old Captain. No one had agreed to her appointment, not even her parents, they thought she was too young to be the Commander of a warship.

"Doesn't look like we have," She said with relish, "Let's have a look," she moved ahead of the group and opened the door. She was now in front of the group with her tunic draped around her shoulder like a robe and tight fitting trousers only slightly covered.

The Captain was so excited he had forgotten about his mission. He had never seen anyhting like this before and thought it had to be some kind of magic. He had never imagined that the old empire was this technologically advanced.

The heavy door slided open surprisingly easy, and revealed a huge room - probably the meeting hall as the red line ended with a dot in the middle of the room. The ceiling had to be over twenty meters above them and shined with the same bright light as in the corridor.
On each side of the meeting there were two white-painted metal doors, marked with numbers like the one in the hangar. There were four large pillars in the center of the room, surrounding another, not quite as tall, shiny pillar in the very middle of the room - right behind the red dot. It looked almost like a very shiny mirror.

He and Naomi walked up to it while some of the marines searched the area carefully for any suspicious things.

Once the Captain and Naomi had stepped inside the perimeter of the four large pillars the middle pillar started to flimmer, just like the screens in the corridor. The flimmer turned into a whirlwind of multiple colours wich turned into a face - a womans face. Her gentle voice said:

"You are in the outer meeting hall of station Delta Four-One. This is an imperial military station, class Sierra October Three. Welcome."

The face shifted in colours and continued...

"I am your personal artificial guide to Delta Four-One, one of the largest stations in use. All systems are unfortunately offline. Is there anything I can help you with?"
Alversia
28-03-2008, 22:02
"Uh," Naomi was actually taken back for a few seconds, looking around as if trying to figure out what to ask first,
"What happened to this station?" She asked the face, noting the technology, "Where is the crew?"
Helveticuz
28-03-2008, 23:18
The face changed it's shape once more, twisting and turning as if it was suffering from some strange disease.

"The ones you refer as 'crew' are no longer serving at this station, as they deceased twohundred and seventythree years, sixtytwo days and seven hours ago. This station is currenctly unmanned and offline, as ordered by imperial officer Starlieutenant Jane Eidolan. My systems indicate that this station was under attack, class Red, in all sectors. Systems indicate that this was the fourhundred and twentieth stational unit to fall for the attacking force.
Systems cannot identify attacker except the facts that it was non-imperial and non-humanoid. Do you wish to know more?"

The Captain answered quickly...

'Yes. What happened to the empire you speak of?'

"The Empire does no longer exist in terms of humanoid administration. The only imperial citizens 'alive' are all artificially uploaded humanoids or artificial intelligences such as Me. Do you wish to know more?"

The Captain turned towards Naomi.
Alversia
28-03-2008, 23:36
Naomi stared at the face with barely contained fascination,
'So this empire was attacked and destroyed' She thought to herself, 'I am the first Alversian to realise this and see this species for the first time'
It made her feel important, like all the scorn she got from her peers no longer mattered.
"Yes," She said firmly, "Tell me all you know about this species. Who attacked them? Who were this Empire?" She rattled out the questions without a breath between.
Helveticuz
29-03-2008, 00:22
"The artificially uploaded humanoids were once organic humanoids. But they uploaded themselves to survive the predicted fall of the Empire. If you manage to find any remaining imperial databases, you will also find these imperial citizens I speak of.
To upload to a computer or an A.I you need a broca-scanner for scanning the broca area of the humanoid brain. After successful scanning, an operation including surgical slicing of inner brainfibres enables an efficient upload to an A.I terminal. Once the humanoid mind has been uploaded, you technically cannot call it an A.I since it is a humanoid controlling it. It was a technology researched by the Imperial University of Hella, wich maked humanoids immortal - in non-physical terms."

The face changed into a deep black colour, and it's eyes glowed white and silver.

"The aggressors are currently unknown to my system. They have been identified as non-imperial and non-humanoid."

It quickly changed again, this time into a bright red colour.

"The Empire of Helveticuz, reaching back to the days of the very first deep space colonies, controlled an area of totally one million, threehundred and fourtytwo systems at it's peak. The last Emperor was Cleon the Survivor.
The core systems were populated by over twenty billion humanoids. Hella, the very heart of the Empire, was populated by fifteen billion humanoids - the greatest world in the known and explored universe.
It's strenght became it's weakness - as predicted by A.I - and it fell into barbary twohundred and seventyone years ago. One cannot rule such a vast empire where one planet rules over another thousands and thousands of lightyears away. It resulted in great revolutions and wars, but the Empire always prevailed. It's military might attracted unwanted enemies, internal corruption caused mass riots and the outcome was, not surprising, a weakened administration. The latest invasion was a final cut to the already dying imperial might, and from there all officially recorded history is lost. Systems and mathematicians predicted a thousand years of uncivilized activity before another civilisation rises from the last ones ashes."
Alversia
29-03-2008, 00:35
Naomi nodded in understanding, it sounded a lot like the Empire that had once controlled Alversia. It got too big to administer and just fell to ruin as it systems rebelled one by one until the homeworld was taken by another, more tyrannical empire. Alversians knew that Empires generally collapsed after so many years of trying to control the Universe,
"So the Empire collapsed? Who was the last occupant of this station? The Helveticuz Empire? Or a Rebel Army?"
Helveticuz
29-03-2008, 12:54
The face continued to change it's shape and colours while speaking.

"No, there are still imperial citizens uploaded to databases that are online and running at this very moment. Over fivehundred years ago, the scientist and mathematician elite predicted the inevitable fall of the empire and therefor researched the artificial uploading devices to keep the technological and social knowledge. Technically, the empire is now ruled by these few artificial men - almost threehundred years after it's fall."

The face shifted into a man and continued with a mans voice.

"The imperial personell of this station where the last ones to use it's military capabilities. The last log is dated 2024 AI, by Spacecolonel Yaime Haeggman."
Alversia
29-03-2008, 15:41
"I see," Naomi looked sad, "So the Empire has been out of commission for a few centuries? All those people..." She shook her head, then she perked up,
"I am Captain Lewis of the Alversian People's Starship Immense. May I have a look around this station and see the technologies is has to offer?"
Helveticuz
29-03-2008, 16:52
"It does not exist in physical shapes, but it's great knowledge will forever be kept alive."

The man turned into a child, with it's sweet and calm voice saying:

"Greetings, Captain Lewis of Alversia. You may, but only if you do me a favor."

The little child disappeared and the pillar became bouyant, shaping into what looked like a slim woman. It was still in a silver-ish colour, though it steadily changed into something else. After a few seconds it had become a shiny, glowing copy of Naomi.

"The mathematicians predicted your arrival and this very conversation. You must visit the kingdom ruling the outskirts of the coreworlds, the only semi-civilized world within the old imperial territories. One of you knows the ways of it's people, the other one of you knows how to destroy it.
Do this and I will show you the true meaning of the Empire - the true purpose of galactic domination and it's results."

The Captain stared at the Naomi standing infront of him, and then to the Naomi beside him.
Alversia
29-03-2008, 17:03
Naomi took a frightened step back from the copy and listened to what 'Naomi' had to say to her. When she was finished, the young Captain nodded,

"I will visit the Kingdom," She repeated firmly, before turning to the Captain, "D you know the way to the Kingdom of which she speaks of?" She asked delicately, gently, excited by the turn of events.
Helveticuz
29-03-2008, 17:19
The shiny Naomi returned to it's former shape of a pillar, still humming quietly.

'Yes, I think so. She must mean Banecreon, it's the only kingdom in the whole sector. Although I wouldn't want to go there, they aren't that fond of people. But on the other hand - if there is more of this technology, I'll gladly show you the way.'

The pillar hummed deeply.

"Fare well. We will meet again..."
Alversia
29-03-2008, 17:44
"We shall," Naomi nodded then turned to the Captain,
"We'd better get started," She said happily and turned back to her vessel, "Let's get there as soon as possible eh?"
Helveticuz
29-03-2008, 18:07
'Yeah, I'm with you'

The shoreparty headed back to the APS Immense and lifted from the concrete surface inside the asteroid and hurried outside.
The Captain, standing beside Naomi, overlooked the star charts and pointed with his whole hand.

'It's about 4.3 lightyears in front of us. It'll take a few days considering the size of this ship, unless you're going to surprise me with some fancy advanced engine?' He said with a laugh.
Alversia
29-03-2008, 18:59
Naomi laughed as well,
"How long will it take to reach our destination at maximum speed, Ensign?" She asked the man in front of her. A few moments later, she had an answer
"18 hours and 43 minutes?" She smiled, "That'll do. Proceed"
The Immense turned and, within seconds was at her maximum speed heading for the planet.

The MSS Moon drifted silently through space as it approached the small fleet of craft. Captain Roberts sat in his command chair, waiting for any updates to the situation. The sensory officers quickly shot up out of his seat, “Sir, the objects are breaking off from each other. It appears half of them are heading in one direction and the other half in an entire different direction.”

“Move to intercept the vessels closest to the infected ship. Hail the unknowns as well, send the standard contact message, place of origin, reason for being here, and peaceful or militaristic intent.” The communications officer quickly starting typing buttons into his console, then began to speak softly into his microphone, relaying the standard message that all Moravrian vessels used when an unidentified ship entered sensor range.

The pilot of the ship began to turn toward the infected ship, a question burning in his mind until he mustered the audacity to ask it, “Sir, may I speak freely?”

Roberts turned to him with a smile, “Go ahead.”

“Sir, should we, er, be protecting the Explorer? That is our mission after all.”

Roberts face quickly changed from a smile to a stern look, “We have a responsibility to everyone on that ship, to help them get out alive. This infection that seems to be plaguing the ship must be stopped, and we need to save as many sentient beings as possible. Besides, I am sure Captain Titro is aware of the situation and is prepared to jump out of here on a moments notice.”

Meanwhile, on the refueling station, the entire crew of the Explorer had com onboard. They were sitting at a table in the lounge, playing an ancient Moravrian card game, gleefully unaware of the pirate menace now in the system.

APS Immense - 15 hours later
For the last fifteen hours, the Captain had studied the star charts with Naomi and made him realize that it was a totally new universe out there, with new panets, prosperious empires and many new species that tried to claim their own part of all this.

He yawned. 'Three hours to go. I've been meaning to ask, but haven't got the time; Alversia. Is it...big? I mean, that thing we met over there. I think she meant that you..'

He paused, wetten his lips and then continued.

'Well, I think she meant you had the power of destroying the banecreons.'

The Refueling station
The two fleets, one of them heading directly towards the refueling station and the other one towards the enemy ships.

Aboard the bridge of the Siwerian Whore, Romerick - with sweat running down on his forehead - commanded his men.

'Lock on targets and fire, god damn it! We need to get the attention here.'

'Sir, sir! I've scanned the whole sector - there's no sign of any ship named Immense. Wait, we've got incoming messages. What's your orders?'

The message from MSS Moon was shown on the main screen.
Romerick closed his eyes and mumbled, then he walked up to his chair - standing behind it.

'It's too late to run away now. Ignore the message. We can always loot these ships right here, can't we? Arr, let's do this!' He shouted.

"Oh. This is wonderful."

Fingers flew over a touchpad, drones raced into new positions, coils charging, preparing to rain laser fire down on the newcomers.

Why come here? Why attack? Now I have to kill you all.

The refueling station's shields pulsed, and the six turrets placed innocuously across the station began firing. Small mass drivers, they all focused on the Siwerian Whore, as did the drones. Pinpricks all, it was true, but a thousand pinpricks would hurt someone badly. A million could kill them.

"Yes, turbolasers only mind, the deathdealers are for the Exnomorphs."
"Right away sir!" replyd the tactical officer, sending a comand to the turbo laser bateries to fire where he wanted* "Eat this" he said to himself and opened up, a volly of blue energy erupting from the city and heading to the narest ship.

Captain Romerick was red with veines pulsating in his face, shouting at his men.

'What the hell! Fire! Fire! Fi...'

The Siwerian Whore managed to fire a few lasershots at the swarm of droids before she turned into a fireball that for a moment lighted up the darkness surrounding them all.
The smaller ship 'Ruthless' was crewed by only three men, and fired continously at the enormous city-ship.

'You fuckin' apes! C'mon, fire!'

It was chaotic, but most of the men started to realize that they had no chance of surviving this battle.

"Ma'am, incoming hostiles. Pirates."
"Well, we did tell them. Open fire."

The ship turned to face the Ruthless and three panels opened on the front of the ship. Cannons emerged there, and the sides pulsed green. There was a whine for a moment before three lines of superheated plasma shot towards the ship.

Roberts looked on as the pirate ships approached the ad-hoc fleet of vessels. Then he saw fire start to erupt from some of the ships, as the refueling station also opened fire. He flew out of his chair, walked up to the observation panel, and began to issue orders. “Fire port tubes and readt starboard. Rout all power necessary to operate the railguns, use canister shots for them, and make sure you don’t hit the friendlies.” He looked around the room, a smile on his face. He saw his crew look almost sullen, with the slightest hint of a frown on some of their faces, “What? No smile? We are now fighting an enemy that was not grown in Moravria. You should all be excited! Damn the blasters! Damn the phasers! Damn the lasers! And Damn the torpedoes! Full speed ahead!,” Roberts said while a huge grin overtook the rest of his visage.

"Well, Alversia is a one planet state," Naomi said softly, thinking about the question, "We champion freedom and civil rights above all other things. On Alversia, everyone is born equal and everyone has equal opportunities. There is no poverty and little crime. Alversia is a utopia" She said sadly, breaking off as memories of how much she missed home flooded back to her.

"Destroying the Banecreons?" Naomi's face paled, "We are a peaceful race! We no not fight for personal reasons but for what we think is best for the People. I will not destroy a people because some hologram wants me too" She said firmly, "The asteroid can keep it's secrets, I will not become a murderer."
