File reads as below:

On April 4th, 2312, the Republic of Lariza was formed and secceded from its mother country. In response, its homeland declared war on Lariza and issued a statement...

"Any citizen who takes part in fighting against the motherland shall be shot for treason and his or hers assests shall be siezed. Furthermore......"

Despite the threat of no mercy, well over three million Larizans joined the Commonwealth Forces, then known as the Independent Army of Lariza. Situated 1,721 Light Years from the mother planet, it took the homeland four months to assemble an invasion force, which in the mean time six neighboring planets joined Lariza in its bid for freedom, increasing the IAL troops to slightly over seven million strong.

On September 25th, 2312, the motherland launched operation Thunder Demon. Within three weeks, the attack had cost the IAL some three million troops, however the homeland losses had exceeded ten million and showed no sign of giving up.

On January 2nd, 2313, the homeland's offensive was stalled on Dak IV. The IAL had stationed some 350,000 troops against the invading army of 800,000. Yet despite the odds, the IAL forces were able to hold out long enough until Lariza and her allies, which would later become part of the commonwealth, to launch a counteroffensive that drove the invaders back and would eventually lead to victory in the War of Independence.

(OOC: I want to rp parts of my nations history with the help of some people. I plan on doing further battles and key political situations as rps later. For now, can someone rp as the homeland. And also, this battle will end in IAL victory, I just want to rp parts of it that I can later use in my factbook when I get around to writing it.)

January 12th, 2313.

Northern Command fell three days ago, along with it a third of our forces. Sarge says reinforcements will be here by the end of the week, can't wait.

January 18th, 2313.

No sign of friendlies in the skies. Plenty of bombers though. Charlie and Tesla were killed, we buried what was left of them outside city hall.

January 31st - February 1st, 2313.

They attacked all night. Heard 2nd and 3rd companies were wiped out. Birgade is pulling back to Hydra's Ridge. Enemy fighters kept strafing our retreat.

February 5th, 2313.

Enemy has been silent for the past few days. Our unit took up positions on Hill 135. Sarge didn't come back from last night's patrol.

February 8th, 2313.

Artillery zoned in on our position. Most of the company got killed. Sargent Baron arrived today. I hate his jokes.

February 10th, 2313.

They're hitting positions all up and down the Tyrol line. Our neighboring positions on Hills 128 and 111 have fallen, but were quickly retaken. Due to our strategic position, command has ordered us to hold against all odds and no retreat. The fleet has arrived and is currently engaging enemy forces in orbit. The sky is clear of enemy fighters. Still, we are just 19 miles away from the last city on this godforsaken planet, Tefris. I hid some extra ammo in the bunkers on our hill, when they come I'll be ready.

Corporal Adam Suriel stood before a pile of dirt that housed the remains of his comrade. It was a scene that kept repeating itself over and over since he took up the call to defend his homeworld. He and his friends had all enlisted together three months ago. There were eight of them when they joined, now there was only one. John, Rachel, August, Sharon, Kyle, Allie, and now Matt, one by one he saw the color drain from their faces. One by one he tried to comfort them and say that things would be alright and they had won the war, yet nothing he said could stop their pleas for another day of life or grant their wish of being home. For a long time he stood there, looking at the unmarked grave that was so insignificant in a world that had seen over half its population killed. On a world that just about every square inch of soil had been turned up by the continous carpet bombing that he had seen. He wondered if his town was still intact. He wondered if Granny still made that fine soup that was the talk of the region. He wondered if he would survive these next few hours.

He turned away and jumped into the trench and took a seat while the squad's new NCO told them what was gonna happen. And probably their last orders.

"....thrid squad will be in Bunker nine, while Bunker three will house the wounded. fourth and fifth squads are manning the AA's. And we will be here in this bloody trench waiting for the enemy. Our job is to keep the enemy from flanking the bunkers and following the yellow pist road to Tefris. Got me?"

Some thirty nods greeted his question.

"Good, now pist off and go to where you gotta be."

With that, Adam Suriel went to bunker nine to await the enemy's approach.

(OOC: I'm gonna make a map so as to show their positions soon.)
