Wondering where you'd run off to
[NS]Schwullunde
21-03-2008, 21:43
yeah i just couldn't bring myself to play for a bit. I tried to keep my nation from falling completely into the dead zone but failed. Ideas have been slowly forming recently so figured I would at least slowly return. Probibly won't try any more grand threads for a bit though.
from what i saw though everyone else had the same oppinion of g1 as me sense no one kept it up after november lol.
jumped into a thread of xiscapia's today only to find it was closed so i politely pulled out of it after i posted. Unexpected Company i beleave the title was. thought it was a fitting entry point he heh he.
looks like a bunch of nu-blood is cropping up so i will prob have to get my fun on when one of them steeps up to play in my area of play:p
Alversia
21-03-2008, 21:50
Yeah, everyone pulled out after you did, the whole thing just died away.
As for Expected Company, I'm in it :p And I thought a hundred ships was a bit heavy handed myself, lol considering everyone else combined was a half dozen
[NS]Schwullunde
21-03-2008, 21:52
also am currently planning to switch to a mac. though its about as old as my current one.
IMAC G3 Graphite if anyone is interested. though i will probibly have to switch the os to os9 to make it have a deceant speed. will see thouhg
Alversia
21-03-2008, 21:53
Nope, I've upgraded to my own personal £400 laptop :D
[NS]Schwullunde
21-03-2008, 21:54
lol yeah i suppose it was figured you guys had your usual complimennt of shipps though. didn't really read through it completely
as to the imac its better then the performa6320cd i am playing around with for fun
not to sure about the £400 laptop though never heard of it. i go for cheap lol
also you forget that most of my ships tend toward the weaker side. but a few hundred flies can make life misrible for a rottweiler lol
Alversia
21-03-2008, 22:06
It was a diplomacy thread though, not a battle one

21-03-2008, 22:10

[NS]Schwullunde
21-03-2008, 22:10
lol interesting idea of diplomacy from what i saw lol
no matter though, will find a nice fat noobe soon enough lol
[NS]Schwullunde
21-03-2008, 22:15
ouch isa that sux. i have sorta similer prob my main hd won't boot so i have to keep a win95 hd as the start up and then boot into the main
Alversia
21-03-2008, 22:15
I'm not a great fan of Noobs, although I was one myself. :p
They always try to attack with a Million ships as big as a planet, which is annoying. My Navy's small compared to some on this site: 4,000 ships.
[NS]Schwullunde
21-03-2008, 22:20
yeah i seem to remember a certain thread like that.
as to mine i beleave its about half that or less though my drones are killer.
maybe 1500 or so
I love noobs though, especially on toast with a little butter and jam
Alversia
21-03-2008, 22:26
I try to avoid them :D
Of those 4,000 ships though, a thousand guard my homeworld and 2,000 patrol a DMZ with the Danaversian Empire. Then another 800 are on permenant patrol around my era. So that leaves me with 200 to play with
[NS]Schwullunde
21-03-2008, 22:33
ouch that few ehh. will have to remember that for future referance.
of course it helps that i went with the salvage/repair model instaid of building from scratch.
Alversia
21-03-2008, 22:36
And I've started using my own model of ships with my own design traits. They're all tri-engined for instance.

well i'am left using window 2000 on a slow old IBM till we work out what going on
[NS]Schwullunde
21-03-2008, 22:42
ugghhh to much work for me to handle. I think I will stick with my salvage/repair schtick for now.
well I am going to get off of here for a bit. gotta eat and all that. will prob get on later to see whats up. maybe go hunting me a nice noob:mp5:
see ya later

22-03-2008, 22:19
hey all just got a tg from xiscapia. he said the same as y'all about g1. figure i will just let that one die a semi honorable death.
Isa: sounds like my computer lol I beleave we are probibly running a similer system.
general: so much for the mac that fell through. will see about another one sometime in the future.
Alversia
22-03-2008, 22:37
G1 died a horrible death. It rotted away :(
No matter, Alversia has thrived in it's absence :D

Isa: sounds like my computer lol I beleave we are probibly running a similer system.
add the ever on going net drop out that happens to both PCs that one can't fix i may as live back in th 80s
[NS]Schwullunde
23-03-2008, 20:52
Isa: just as long as you don't go with the "flock of seagulls" haircut:rolleyes:
Alversia: Glad to hear your nation is doing well.
general: as to g1 yeah i guess we had to many diplomacy scenario's with no action. we had alot of real power gamers after all. i mean even the guys supposed to make trouble were to nice.
that said I may go ahead and start a few proxy nations based on my npc races to play around with. maybe flesh them out a bit. the Alphans could be alot of fun.
Alversia
23-03-2008, 20:53
Ha! Ha!
Doing anything at the moment or just observing
[NS]Schwullunde
23-03-2008, 21:03
still looking for something that just screams out for my intervention.
Alversia
23-03-2008, 21:04
Ah. Okay then
[NS]Schwullunde
23-03-2008, 21:06
though as i mentioned to Xiscapia i am thinking of a possible earth invasion scenario
Alversia
23-03-2008, 21:07
Schwullunde;13550340']though as i mentioned to Xiscapia i am thinking of a possible earth invasion scenario
Why? You based on earth are you?
Can I join? :p
Who would the invader be?
[NS]Schwullunde
23-03-2008, 21:10
well i was intending to run a sorta "id4" type thing with earth based nations playing around with mt/pmt stuff. and a few nft/ft nations running around, either attacking or possibly defending the poor helpless earthforces
Alversia
23-03-2008, 21:11
I see. Not my thing then.
Is this part of your quest for N00bs? :p
Would the enemy be NPC? I might have a nice race for you.
[NS]Schwullunde
23-03-2008, 21:18
ummm noobs ahhhhh
not necessarily.though it does sound like something that would just get them drooling don't it
well i was thinking of more of a crossover genre type thing. almost completely open tech scenario.
though i doubt that i could attract many of the other various techs fantasy, medevil, or serrious iron age based players to enter.
hmmm though fantasy based players would make things interesting.
in fact if i must tell the truth I was thinking of invading earth for pillage and plunder
Alversia
23-03-2008, 21:19
ah, you could do a first contact with a MT Nation if you wanted
[NS]Schwullunde
23-03-2008, 21:22
yeah thats a kool one.
this idea is based on a little mistake i made when i first joined. i was playing around with a guy who was buying ships from me, and unfortunatly stumbled upon a mt scenario war he was involved in not knowing i wasn't exactily welcome
Void Templar
23-03-2008, 21:22
Nice to see you back, Schwullunde.
[NS]Schwullunde
23-03-2008, 21:24

Alversia
23-03-2008, 21:27
Any MT Nations lined up? Would you be E.T First Contact or Independence Day First Contact? :p
[NS]Schwullunde
23-03-2008, 21:29

or maybe even V
and its still in the formative stages
Void Templar
23-03-2008, 21:32
Well, I RP every tech. So your welcome to put the fear o' god into my people.
Alversia
23-03-2008, 21:33
I never watched Stargate and I seem to be the only one on this Forum who has no bloody idea who the goa'uld are.
[NS]Schwullunde
23-03-2008, 21:34
sounds like fun VT:p
[NS]Schwullunde
23-03-2008, 21:36
quick rundown
Goa'uld are symbiotic lifeforms who came to earth and enslaved the human race. they took the face of the egyptian gods as well as others to do so
they were ran off because of a mass uprising
the whole Stargate thing is a rip off of the puppetmasters
Alversia
23-03-2008, 21:43
So Horus and Osirus and all that lot were goa'uld?
Right then.
[NS]Schwullunde
23-03-2008, 21:45

The Late, Great, Planet Earth
http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=552494
[NS]Dastardly Stench
24-03-2008, 05:16
Actually, I thought that the Ancients weren't the first advanced inhabitants of earth, but rather the first intelligent beings to evolve in humanoid form. That's what they said in the early episodes of SG: A, anyway.
[NS]Schwullunde
25-03-2008, 02:17
[NS]Dastardly Stench Well i may have missed another earlier earth based group but i don't think so. the Ancients evolved on earth long before the dawn of recorded history. they left in search of the path to accension in early pre history. not that it matters to much. i just gave a fairly quick rundown, not the entire wiki on the subject:p
[NS]Schwullunde

hey guys just working on a little story thread at the moment. feel free to peruse and let me know what you think. its mainly a story thread but if you can think of an interesting addition to the thread feel free to post ic of course.
just a bit of information thallon V is deserted with no intelligent or otherwise lifeforms with the exception of the lichen mentioned in the story already. the story is a graphic example of my primary means of acquiring tech. in this case a couple of new ships to add into my ongoing collection.
