People's Republic of Andaras, state news announcement.

Today officials from the Commissariat of Industrial Development have reported a massive 578.9% increase in industrial production capacity since the last year. further reporting that 53,657,899 new bridges, 60,723,098 new roads and many more steel and iron works have been built. A spokesperson said that 'this development is a direct result of the development of the socialization in production, and the deepening of the proletarial state'. Further was reported that over 350,000 kulaks and other criminal profiteers have been discovered by the Peasants' Soviets' and expropriated. Peasants all over Andaras are rejoicing as the rise of socialist agriculture means an end to the landlordism and feudal despotism of the kulaks.

The First Secretary has announced that borders will now be closed temporary so that the authorities can discover the secret bourgeois illegal trade routes used by the kulaks to sell grain abroad for profit and to attempt to starve the peasants. Once all illegal bourgeois outposts in the country are expropriated, then the borders will be reopened as the troops reoccupy our frontier. Reports further indicate that these 350,000 kulaks have been sent to Quiafah province for reform-through-labor, so they can be reeducated to the ways of socialist society.

The First Secretary further said that the full industrialization of the socialist society is the key to the political supremacy of the working class over the propertied classes. Once communications and infrastructure are extended fully to the peasant areas, then the peasants can be fully proletarianized and the last refuge of the exploiters lost.

'Political prisoners' in your definition do not exist as all prisoners in a society are simply the enemies of that society, as in your country your prisoners are enemies of the bourgeois. While in my country the laws exist for the benefit of the working masses, the vast majority of society. Anyone who is a prisoner in Andaras is a class enemy who must be reformed to the correct thought process of a socialist society, just as in your country you indoctrinate people to a reactionary nationalist capitalist mindset. Marxism-Leninism in the PRA is nothing but the self-determination of the working masses over the exploiters.

Furthermore, regarding your undiplomatic and aggressivist rhetoric, the PRA has deployed further troops to it's border, and announced a decree that any foreigners who enter illegally not by recognized border posts will be shot on sight.

The War Office was an uneventful building. Nestled in downtown Krogstad, few paid it any attention being as it had been over 300 years since Hryvinia's last war. Today however, things were different. For the better part of the day limousines and military vehicles were pulling up and leaving, and the guard element of the building had been doubled. What was once a small unimportant government office had quickly become the buzz of the city as rumors flew. Some said Hryvinia was going to declare war, others that the nation had been invaded. In the midst of all this confusion, five men deliberated in a secure chamber within the building. Their decision would ultimately affect Hryvinian history forever.

"All right gentlemen, you may be seated," King Sverre said to his military commanders as he walked in the room. They were seated around a large, oval shaped table, with a projector in the middle and a screen in the front of the room. "We've been scouring intelligence reports Your Majesty," the commander of the army General Erik Bergstrom said. "Nothing of any importance shows up. It's as if these Andarans just cropped up from Hell yesterday. We have figured out one important thing though. Using a matrix based on their population we have been able to determine that their military, assuming of course they have one, is likely smaller than ours. Even if they're using conscription as their kind often does, it's unlikely that a horde of conscripts can beat a professional military. In short Your Majesty, there's no reason for us to lose this."

"Right, I had that part when I issued the statement yesterday. Now I want you gentlemen to tell me how you plan to do this," Sverre replied. The answer was almost immediate.

"Your Majesty, we're planning on deploying two carrier groups. The escort ships will use their cruise missiles to attack coastal radar and SAM installations, freeing up local airspace for carrier-borne fighters. Once the enemy air threat is eliminated, heavy bombers from the mainland will begin strategic bombing of military installations and key buildings within the Andaran capital. Once this is done, the ground troops will be sent in to mop up whatever's left," General Bergstrom replied. "Assuming, of course, that they don't come to their senses and surrender first."

A young löjtnant, lieutenant, stood at stiff attention at the helm as the white-bearded Generalamiral (Fleet Admiral) Lars Koenig strode over to confirm his force's position. "Indeed we are Lieutenant Svensson. You are dismissed for the time being. If you wish, you may return to the bridge when the shooting starts, though I should think that goes without saying," the admiral replied. Saluting, Svensson departed the bridge. With that, the admiral walked over to the computer terminal for the fleet's closed circuit computer. After inputting his password and waiting for it to boot up, he addressed a memo to all ships in his fleet

Meanwhile on the cruiser Bjorn, the fire control room was hard at work weeding through targets. There were several radar posts along the coast, picked out by LANDSAT a few days prior and now being fed to the cruisers and destroyers within the flotilla. Bjorn had been assigned three targets first and most important was an airfield about fifty miles from the coast. Next, there was a rather large battery of radar dishes most likely used to track incoming aircraft. Finally, a SAM battery near the radar post would be targeted. With the combined might of two fleets' missiles, Andaran air power would be reduced to a mere footnote within the first 24 hours of the conflict. Satisfied with his solutions, the Fire Control Officer contacted his bridge requesting permission. Within less than a minute the "roger, permission granted," of Kommendör Matthias Nilsson cracked across the intercom. What followed shortly thereafter was a terrific roar of missiles being fired. All in all at least one hundred would be sent off that night, one which was sure to be sleepless for the Andarans.

You have 100 missiles divided between all airfields, SAM installations, and radar outposts within 50mi of the coast.

Aboard flight CSAF- 8227, the Captain was getting uneasy at what was happening over in Andaras. With one of the engines damaged, she doubted she could take the temporary diversion route around the entire of Andaras, until the situation in the silly country was rectified.

Being an airship, the routes chosen for them always followed the wind, to maximise speed and efficiency. In this case, the commercial flight of a Lilac-class airship was following Airship Lane AFNF-3, the Spring/Autumn route to Neo Fegos which cut straight over Andaras following strong tailwinds. And since the cargo was passengers, a few extra thousand kilometres would add days onto the voyage, unacceptable. On the other hand, the airship would likely get turned away or shot at. The latter, knowing crazy communists.

The co-pilot gave a knowing glance at her as she extended the airship sails of shimmering film further, speed gaining to 115 km/h. The splutter of the faulty hydrogen turboprop to her rear left was all the reminder she needed that they were more-or-less at the mercy of the wind. She flicked on her headset, and scrolled through the communications channel to the one marked on the console as the Andaran border traffic control.

"Andaran border traffic control, this is flight CSAF - 8227, destination Neo-Fegos international aerodrome. Notifying that we are continuing along Lane AFNF-3, over."

She flicked off the speak function, and turned to the co-pilot.
"If they shoot us or act aggresively towards us, you know what to do."
The co-pilot nodded, flicking on the intercom to the large gondola mounted much further behind them, holding 120 passengers and 30 additional crew members.
"This is an important announcement. We wish to alert all onboard to be aware where their nearest emergancy exit and parachute locker is. If you have any queries, please direct them towards a member of staff. Thankyou, and enjoy your flight."

"Do you reckon they'll suspect?"
"I just am not sure... do we tell them we're risking their lives, or do we hide it from them?"
"If we do receive hostilities, then I honestly doubt we'll live to see our lawsuits."

"It seems that the Hryvinians are already on the move," smiled the Admiral of the Fleet. "They seem to be quite a bold people."

"Heh," smiled the president. "Well, we can't let ourselves be ousted by them. Launch Battlegroup Touben and Sakushamishou. I'm pretty sure that's enough. Andaras. Will. Fall." The president laughed at his own dramatic pause before signing the official order.

"Sir, multiple blips on the radar," announced the radar operator. "Receiving transmission...confirmed sighting of the Hryvinian task force."

"Good. Move a bit west of them and prepare the ships. The enemy could pop out at any moment."

"Yes Admiral, sir!" shouted the bridge. Quickly, the announcement was broadcasted across the fleet, and within minutes the new Candrian Priests fighters scrambled alongside E-2C Hawkeye Early Detection aircraft as battleship guns prepared to pound coastal fortifications.

"In position for launch." shouted the weapons control officer.

"Very well. All weapons on standby, launch half the aircraft to defend ourselves. We will wait for their response." shouted the admiral. Within seconds, a swarm of 94 fighters - half of the fleet's total air power - patrolled the sky for enemy air.

The First Distributed Kingdom of Weyr is deeply concerned with the recent developments surrounding the program of forced collectivization adopted by the government of the People's Republic of Andaras. Once again, the world is faced with the scourge of war without due cause, and without the states involved having made even the slightest attempt at reaching their goals through peaceful diplomatic means. While it is certainly the right of every state to determine its domestic and its foreign policies free from external interference, such blatant disregard for both fundamental human rights and for the rules governing civilized conduct among nations, can only draw condemnation from the First Distributed Kingdom of Weyr, which it appears stands alone in its respect for human rights and its understanding that any attempts to enforce human rights through the use of force will only bring untold suffering to those most in need. The First Distributed Kingdom of Weyr hereby condemns all parties involved in the current conflict for what may only be labeled as clear and blatant warmongering, and places all said parties On Notice that a continuation of hostilities to the detriment of the civilian population of the People's Republic of Andaras may result in Intervention by the First Distributed Kingdom of Weyr.

The First Distributed Kingdom of Weyr does hereby condemn the government of the People's Republic of Andaras, for pursuing a policy of forced collectivization against the wishes of a large segment of its population, and for further repressing and imprisoning that segment of its population without due process of law. While the People's Republic of Andaras, as a sovereign polity, may adopt any government it wishes, and that government may enact any policies it wishes, the government and the people of the First Distributed Kingdom of Weyr have long believed that all people posess certain rights no government should except in some rare instances deny, chief among them Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Property. Judging by the histories of prior attempted forced collectivizations, it may only be assumed that gross violations of these basic rights, with the active support of the government, have already taken place in the People's Republic of Andaras. Though respecting the sovereignty of a fellow state, the First Distributed Kingdom of Weyr does hereby request that the government of the People's Republic of Andaras, without delay, enter into open discussions with the nations of the world regarding the possibility of removing those who do not wish to reside in a system of forced collectivization from within the borders of the People's Republic of Andaras, and that in the meanwhile it allow representatives of the various nations of the world access to its legal institutions for the purposes of verifying that the government of the People's Republic of Andaras does indeed follow the conduct expected from all governments in its treatment of those within its jurisdiction.

The First Distributed Kingdom of Weyr does hereby condemn the government of the Binary Empire of 1010102, the government of the Kingdom of Hryvinia, and the government of the Semi-Autonomous Commonwealth of Shansekia, in waging a war of aggression against a fellow sovereign state, against the laws of nations, without beforehand exhausting all reasonable means of peaceful conflict resolution. While it is indeed a noble purpose to attempt to protect the sovereign rights of a people which may potentially be oppressed by its government, to resort to the use of force without any attempts at diplomacy may only be condemned as an act of blatant warmongering. The First Distributed Kingdom of Weyr urges all parties to cease hostilities at the earliest possible opportunity, and to at the very least make a credible attempt to engage in peaceful dialogue, such that the rights of those currently oppressed by the government of the People's Republic of Andaras may be re-established and protected without unnecessary bloodshed and suffering. The First Distributed Kingdom of Weyr does hereby condemn the government of the United States of Allanea for conduct unbecoming a treaty partner, in using the threat of force without provocation as a means of achieving concessions from a fellow sovereign state. While respecting the sovereignty of all nations in their formulation and implementation of domestic and of foreign policies, the First Distributed Kingdom of Weyr expects all of its treaty partners to meet certain standards of conduct in those policies, chief among them a respect for the sovereignty of fellow nations. Should the government of the United States of Allanea continue to ignore fundamental rules of conduct established among all nations, the First Distributed Kingdom of Weyr will have no choice but to reconsider its standing treaties with the United States of Allanea. The First Distributed Kingdom of Weyr will not support any state which is unable to conduct itself in a manner becoming a Weyrean ally.

The First Distributed Kingdom of Weyr reiterates its urging that all parties involved cease hostilities, and that credible attempts at peaceful resolution be made before their resumption.
