The Market Liberal Party is currently polled ahead of the Conservative Party by a fairly large margin and looks set to win the next election, though it is by no means sure. Conservative efforts to create a coalition with the Paternalist and National Parties, which would guarantee it victory, have come to nothing as the three differ on foreign and trade policy, with PAP wanting total isolation and protectionist and NAP heavily interventionist and protectionist, with the Conservatives unable to mediate between the pair.

The United Democratic Front is achieving success in some areas, but surprisingly not amongst workers who have benefitted the most from the free market reforms made by the King. The highly competitive nature of Questarian industry is a sharp contrast to the rather uncompetitive insurance, banking, and general service industries which have been fighting a losing war against foreign business and are now turning to protectionist parties for support.

Smaller parties like Greens and Socialist Labour have won little support over the country and are not expected to win any seats in the first past the post Westminster system.

"...and one may wonder; what are the positions of these Questarian parties regarding Yafo-Questarian relations? What do they think about us? What would their policies be regarding us? Until those questions are answered, I, for one, cannot feel at all comfortable judging the outcomes of these elections or comparing these parties..."

(OOC: Damn! I didn't notice the UDP is anti-guns, and... suffice to say, you can buy an assault rifle in a supermarket in Third Spanish States, yes... supermarket... but owned by the workers cooperatively who also manage it, so it's not capitalist but there is a free market there. So discount one vote for the UDP politically correct anti-gun liberals because never a bunch of gun-totting anarchists will support them)

Statement

To interested parties in Questers:

We admire that such step forward in social progress was given by a nation of such territorial dimensions, and commend the transition to a republic. However we have a long time ago mutually agreed into a principle which has been accidentally broken. For it seems that for some reason, probably a preemptive decision, one of us decided to claim that we support the United Democratic Front campaign. However, let it be noticed that in fact neither of the existing ideological forces in Third Spanish States, be them anarcho-socialists or anarcho-capitalists, have ever had any interest in supporting any of the existing parties, and that neither of them offer a sufficiently compatible set of proposals to those any of the primary ideological forces in the Confederacy stand for. There is no point into allowing abortion while people are removed from their legitimate right of bearing arms, sometimes the last bastion a people can have against totalitarianism. For Stalin stood for gun control to make the people defenseless, Hitler have stood for gun control to make the ethnic minorities defenses and many examples of despotism were preceded by the removal of the civilian liberty of owning firearms. With this in mind, none of us will ever support a party which stands for gun control.

For if we had such laws in place, we would not be under severe criminality, but instead have a criminal boss as a dictator in our nation while the people were completely defenseless due to foolish laws created by what some of the more vocal among us stereotype as "weed-smoking liberals and hippies who think that guns alone kill people and that saying "peace and love" will stop a criminal from killing you". It saddens us to see people who can't have the sense of understanding that gun control is not leftism, gun control is authoritarianism. However, despite of the shared opinions of the people, and rulers of Third Spanish States on having no party they would personally support, most of us, like previously mentioned consider such small step an excellent step forward for Questers and wish your political freedoms to extend beyond the basic republican right of voting on representatives.
