"Warhound" Class Titan - Currently A Prototype (http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/acatalog/jac6store.jpg)

Development
Standing at roughly 26 feet high, the Warhound class titan was UNNA's initial design for a heavy seige vehicle, as per the request of the Ustio North Military. Due to the vauge request of "A seige vehicle", UNNA designers were allowed to run riot with ideas. After weeks of design, it was decided a walking vehicle was the best option. Thus, the Warhound Class began to take shape.

Propulsion, Armament & Armour
The Warhound's weaponry is custom built; no other UNNA production vehicle mounts such an arsenal. The right arm's twin 45mm Gatling Guns fire armour piercing shells capable of perforating even the toughest tank armour at an effective range of over 2 miles. The left arm's Inferno Cannon met UNM's requirement for something able to attack using flame weapons from long range. It's armour, too, is custom built to withstand even the most devastating barrage of firepower. The entire Titan is powered by an experimental Nuclear Servo Engine, meaning the machine is rarely low on power.

The Imperium finds this to be an imperfect and shallow attempt to recreate the true glory of the mighty Warhound-class Titan. And spits upon this desecration of holy artifacts.

((OOC curiousity entails me to ask: do you mean the dimensions in meters? Because Titans should be much bigger. Seriously, Imperium-style Titans are generally bigger than even my own Mechs for my FT nation.

Also, is this for FT, PMT, or MT purposes. If it's for the latter two, its' understandable to have the vehicle at such a small size.))

Yeah, it's not meant to be actual Imperial Titan size. 26ft is about the same size as my two storey house.

I'm unfamiliar with those abbreviations, could you elaborate?

Imperial Warhounds are nearly twice that size. Their official height is 15 meters tall, or roughly 50 feet tall. larger titans scale upwards considerably. In Dawn of War: Winter Assault there is a downed Imperator titan, the largest that the imperium produces. The head alone is 12 meters tall, and the hellstorm cannon they carry is strong enough to take out an entire city in a single salvo. The "secondary" weapons that are stationed at various points throughout its body are so powerful that they can reduce a necron monolith to ash in mere moments, and monoliths are among the strongest vehicles fielded in the universe.

In recent news: the Imperium of man has caught wind of this new development, and the forge worlds are aghast at this abomination. Under the leadership of the ordo hereticus, the nearby forgeworld has deployed a squadron of titans to show these heretics what a real titan can do...

OOC: To be fair mate, if it's MT they can't tell you to do jack, and the "IoM" is all talk. Don't let them chase you away. :P

OOC: To be equally fair, if it happens to be Future-Tech, and some little Imperium of Man nation decides to attack you for supposed "heresies".. there are a lot of bigger people out there equally willing to smash over-aggressive nations because they chase promising new threads off the boards.

We wouldn't attack you because of that we would only arrive in a show of brilliant force to enlighten you to the true path.

And others of us, bearing different names, would appear in a brilliant display of martial prowess, and beat your faces in. If he wants to call it a warhound, it's a bleeding warhound.

IC:

Having been made aware of this, we would be interested in acquiring a prototype, as well as the possibility of production rights on a modified version of your design.

Thanks for the support guys.

I understand what Dratheria is saying, but i'm taking it off because i'm knee-deep in several other things right now, so i don't really want to add to that list

OOC: I see there some other Warhammer 40k fans on the NS boards. My first question is what "era" (MT,NST,FT...) are you releasing it for. I encourage you to make a sort of mech vehicle for MT because Volzgrad would definitely buy it. My only piece of advise is to keep it small and not intrude on 40k ground (smite the heretic :)! ).

If the specifications are still available, we would be very much interested in acquiring them.

As I play both MT and FT (not at the same time, mind you), I'd have to give this simple advice: Don't. Mechs are so horribly flawed that they'll be maimed by a toddler with a .22 in the rather realism-oriented MT arena. In FT, you'll at least have the tech to compensate somewhat.

Yeah, coming up with realistic specs for it wasn't easy

You can have a "mule" mech for carrying rockets and alike in Early PMT and possibly MT:

Now for combat, forget it.
