Willem knew that he needed a wife and that it must be soon if she was to be printed on the money along with his mother, brother, uncle and two first cousins. Otherwise he might have to find someone else to put on the 200 Atla bill. He decided to do it in a unique format - in the form of a reality TV show. The show The Bachelor already ran in the Benelux so why not do a special season called The Royal Bachelor. It would be fun to pick his wife and entertain the nation at the same time. So he did two things:

Koninklijk Decreet I de Willem VI

I, His Royal Majestic Highness, King Willem VI, by the Grace of God King of the Benelux and Absolute Ruler of all fiefs granted to my vassals and fiefs granted by them to their vassals and so on and so forth, am issuing my first KD and stating that I shall pick my wife through a reality television show and that all current production of the current season of The Bachelor shall be halted and its timeslot filled by my The Royal Bachelor

His first was to issue his first KD while his second was a message to all the royalty and nobility of the world:

To Whom It May Concern:

I, His Royal Majestic Highness, King Willem VI, by the Grace of God King of the Benelux and Absolute Ruler of all fiefs granted to my vassals and fiefs granted by them to their vassals and so on and so forth, am looking for my wife and invite all interested women who are descendants of noble or royal blood to come to Oranje Palace in Amsterdam, the capitol of my country.

The von Waldenburg family was one of the wealthiest aristocratic families in the Ixanian Empire; with many of its members finding their way to fame through some medium ever since the first von Waldenburgs settled on Ixania's shores. Members of the family generally married within the other noble families of Ixania with the weddings and celebrations always being extravagant displays of wealth and happiness. However, this unofficial tradition may be changed. Wilhelm von Waldenburg was a businessman who worked for a friend's growing company; living in splendor with his wife and four children (two sons and two daughters). Occassionally, he would be privy to the events of the outside world and the message of the King of the Benelux found its way to him from his oldest daughter, Wilhelmina, who had expressed interest in meeting Willem. Wilhelm decided it would be acceptable for Wilhelmina to meet Willem; and he would have no problem bringing foreign blood into the family, though it was unknown what the rest of the family, in its extended form, would think.

Wilhelmina, who worked an attorney alongside her childhood friend (who created and controlled the firm), composed a letter for the King of Benelux and had it hastily sent to him; hopefully, she thought, he would consider her. She packed some items and was prepared to go to Benelux; all she needed was the King's Beckoning.

Greetings, Your Royal Majesty. After reading your letter, I must say that I am very interested in meeting you at the Oranje Palace. My name is Wilhelmina von Waldenburg and I am of noble, not royal, blood (being born into the von Waldenburg family; which is one of the many aristocratic families of the Ixanian nation). I work as an attorney (having done so for several years now) and I have plenty of experience with different forms of law; and my interests include literature, art and music (particularily instruments such as the flute; I have been fond of those ever since I was a schoolgirl). I am ready to travel to Benelux this week and I look forward to meeting you; it will be my first time taking part in a television show of this nature.

Signed,
W. von Waldenburg

I suppose you only heard of my message through a family member or friend because you addressed me Your Royal Majesty, when you it should be Your Royal Majestic Highness. Only a minor faux pas and as a foriegner you are immediately pardoned. I look forward to meeting you.

(Sorry to spam with OOC here, but I have a question. Let's suppose that Corbournne as a government does not recognize the monarch as the ruler of the country, but there is family descended from the last monarch, and they claim the throne, would a female of said family be allowed to attend?)

((OOC: Depends, would this say put Willem's children in line for the 'throne'? And would she want to re-install the monarchy?))

OOC: My President recently purchased a fief from another nation, making him a Count and monarch of the nation, does this make his descendents, namely his daughter eligible, even though he basically bought himself into royalty.

OOC: Whether through money or battle, 2,000 years ago or within the last decade, nobility and royalty must be acquired.

OOC: When should I send her over?

OOC: Now would be good.

From: Melissa Andrews

A message was passed onto me by my father, concerning the prospect of finding a possible life partner. When he told me I would be on a special edition of The Bachelor, dubbed The Royal Bachelor, I couldn't say no. The show too runs in Orbath and I haven't yet missed an episode. I would be delighted to meet with you at Oranje Palace in Amsterdam. I'm not sure whether it is required, however I have enclosed a short description of myself.
