The F/A-13 multi-role fighter was commissioned by the IDMAC in September 2005, and kept secret until March 2007. The fighter has two vertical stabilizers, but no horizontal stabilizers. It instead has two canards near the cockpit. The aircraft also has forward swept wings, which improves performance at high speeds. But what makes this aircraft truly unique is the ACTIVE technology, which allows the aircraft to land on short runways. The aircraft proved effective during the test flights and carrier landings.

Design

The AM-4 shares many characteristics with it's older brother, the A-10 Thunderbolt. It's cockpit is built in the same way but designed to fit 2 crew-members; Another similarity is the nearly identical wing shape, as well as it's similar payload. The aircraft fits two GE-100A turbofans in the center of the wings. The GAU-8 cannon is embedded into the point where the wing his the fuselage. The aircraft shares the same tail design as the OV-10 Bronco, and there are to diagonal pylons going from points on the wing to the upper and lower fuselage; These points may be used as hardpoints for missile and rocket pods if needed, but his disrupts the airflow, slowing down the aircraft and increasing the time it takes to turn. The AM-4's heavy armor makes up for it's slow speed and minimal agility.

History

The need for an efficient ground attack was laid down by the Navy in 2013, who needed a solid CAS gunship to replace the F/A-12 Interceptor (which was being used for ground attack at the time). After a competition between Longsword Incorporated and Yarkai Defense Corporation, the Navy chose Longsword's more cost effient and heavily armored AM-4A over the expensive and slow G/A-42 built by Yarkai corp.

Immediately after the commission, the Marines sought to test the AM-4 to see if it fit their needs. It proved itself on all the requirments, and the Marines placed an order for 180 Aircraft, which were to be combat ready by 2015. The aircraft had only recently been rolled of the production line, and are currently in service with Calizorinstan as well as the IDMC and the IDN. The ICFS operates 12 AM-4 for training foreign and local combat pilots about CAS.

Features

The AM-4 Features a standard loadout of advanced weaponry and equiptment, but can be refitted with whatever weapons the buyer chooses to arm his aircraft with. The aircraft has three different peices of avionics embedded into the plane, each of which performs it's duty well. The AIM-9 Sidewinder (which comes with the package) allows the aircraft to engage and destroy hostile helicopters that are in the target zone, as well as to defend itself against fighters like the MiG-29 and the Eurofighter.

The AM-4 can alternitively be armed with AIM-7s for longer range anti-air defense. This makes it easier to destroy helicopters that are in the was of your flight path, as well as Green Peace hot air ballons protesting in your airspace. Thats right; This palne can not only shred tanks, it tank turn hippies into soylent bacon...mmmm......Bacon.....

As a representative of parties concerned with the effectiveness of your products when compared to modern alternatives, I would like to ask what, if any, differences seperate the GTX-80 and Stingray Caravel from the dated American F-15 Eagle and Turkish Milgem Corvette, respectively. Our sources seem to indicate that they are identical to the smallest detail.

Yours,
Daniel Quetzal
