Revolutionary People's State of Magdha Embassy Application Form


After years of isolation, the Revolutionary People's State has emerged from seclusion and obscurity and is ready to do business with the outside world again. The belligerence and undiplomatic conduct practiced by our country in the past are no longer our policy; in this present day and age peaceful co-existance, open-mindedness, and multilateralism take precedence. Any and all nations, regardless of size, stature, ideology, location, culture, or reputation, are welcome to establish diplomatic relations with our country, provided they agree to abide by the following rules.

Weapons of mass destruction (nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons) are prohibited.

The plot of land on which your embassy is built cannot exceed 300 acres. The embassy may not have an underground bunker.

Your embassy is limited to a maximum of 30 security personnel, 2 unarmed helicopters, and 5 armored vehicles (whether armed or unarmed).

Any person guilty of violating Maghdan law, or strongly suspected of having done so, cannot be granted refuge on embassy grounds, regardless of the person’s nationality. Failure to apprehend any such person who enters embassy grounds could result in termination of diplomatic relations, economic sanctions, or both.

Actions or conduct contrary to Magdhan national security may not take place on the embassy grounds. No anti-government media, broadcasts, literature, etc. can be disseminated. All embassy personnel are fully subject to Magdhan law. Violation of any Maghdan law is grounds for expulsion.

No person may be employed by the embassy or be present on the embassy grounds if he meets one or more of the following criteria:
1. Refuses to submit to a background check.
2. Refuses to submit to a polygraph test.
3. Refuses to be tested for drugs.
4. Has ever been convicted of a felony (regardless of the nation in which it was committed).
5. Subscribes to Scientologist beliefs.

The MFA seeks to open a consul office in the Magdhan nation.

However, there is some issue with the "application", as it reads far less like an agreement to allow the opening of diplomatic exchange and far more like the application to gain occupation at a Cute Bunny Burger. It reads as simple application for menial labor.

As such Skibereen currently has no diplomats willing to embarrass themselves by filing out such a remedial document.

Aside from the question "Last 5 Occupations" which admittedly came as quite a surprise my office, there is the issue of a "Background check", how exactly do you plan on back checking citizens of other nations beyond the information provided by their own intelligence services?

Next is the issue of I.Q. which has proven to be an exceedingly poor indicator of actual intellectual ability, especially with regard to delicate and often times nuanced world of diplomacy, I.Q. would measure little beyond one's ability to memorize arbitrary facts and do simple math calculations---both hardly meaningful in this instance.

We find the question "Current Occupation" to be a strange question, and again hardly relevant. As if a nation would choose an unqualified individual to represent itself?

I could go on, as almost every detail of this document is an affront to diplomacy...however the Skibereenian MFA seeks to obtain waiver from the current application, to request to open an office of consul in your nation and at such time as that request is answered will provide all relevant information about the main diplomatic staff and our requirements.

Official Request for the opening of an Irysh-Finegall Consulate of Skibereen in Magdha.

The chief diplomat Ahmad Magnus Al Eb-Al-Din, is member of the Lahore sect of Islam, he holds a Ph.D Political Science and a Masters of Religious studies from the University of New Dublin. Dr. Eb-Al-Din worked with the reconciliation movement in Skibereen up until 36 months ago(when an agreement for general elections were made an general cease fire issued in the civil unrest).

Diplomatic staff will include three personal assistants taken from the Diplomatic Corps of of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Diplomatic Envoy Pool. These positions are on a rotating basis and no diplomatic officer will be on station any longer then 24 months--save the Ambassador himself.

Any additional staff will be hired from the local available qualified individuals assuming Magdha agrees to provide background investigations into applicants. Skibereen agrees to pay for the expense of the background investigation.

Security for the Ambassador's person will be provided by four agents of the MFA, these agents are typically assigned to the Diplomatic Service form a branch of the military. They are active duty military officers and conduct themselves according to the IFAF Rules of Engagement-Amended for Diplomatic Service.

Any additional security for the structure can be contracted through Magdha resources, providing this is acceptable to the Magdha government.

The internal grounds of the Embassy are to be treated as sovereign Skibereenian soil, as well all embassy staff are to be treated under Irysh-Finegal law. Subject only to deportation for acts acts which may be considered criminal under Magdha Law. The exception being that Magdha will retain the right to detain, hold, administer trial, and impose sentence for offenses related to espionage or sabotage as Magdha Law permits.

We hope these terms are acceptable.

The Republic can not currently offer an embassy location in Skibereen until after the up coming elections. Regardless of the outcome of those elections Magdha will be permitted to open a Diplomatic station post election.

These from the position of the Waldenburg Empire, to determine relations there is something much more vital that we must inquire. The Holy Waldenburger Church has made it custom, on these occasions, to request from host nations that it be allowed building permits within the host nation for the purpose of constructing and maintaining basilicas, abbey’s, churches, and monasteries of the Holy Church. If we may come directly to the matter the Waldenburg Empire wishes to build churches, and cathedrals for the education and betterment of mankind in general. We shall of course not indoctrinate any denizens with salacious, seditious, rebellious or anarchist teachings, we shall simply expand for the scriptures and afore mentioned betterment of mankind. As also is custom we shall use all local labor, buy all needed land, pay any required taxes and keep our books open for any government inspectors. We are very much a Church of peace and should any wrongdoing occur, there shall be no hesitation on our part to withdraw and discipline any member of the clergy, in a manner that may be unavailable to foreign heads of state and is by far worse then say death.

If we fail of course we shall not delay our departure, if our word is heard then it was a valuable contribution to society, and if not only our money shall remain with you. If this request is denied we shall be most perturbed, most put off, most affronted. However a nation as dedicated to the new diplomatic way of things we do not see how our modest request could be denied.
