[3.0] Vital Information

The Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot is an ancient state that has existed now for almost 2,500 years. The earliest traces of Tnemration history date back to approximately 450 B.C. deep within the Leurc Mountains. These ancient tablets tell a tale mostly considered folklore that involves epic battles with demons, monsters, and invading hordes. Ancient texts have been both preserved and discovered throughout these mountains and various other areas of Tnemrot that give one of the most detailed histories of any state. The Tnemration people have always held the recording of history in high regard and have taken pride in this since the earliest years of the realm.

Tnemrot takes up approximately 7,500,000 km² and stretches from a coastline that measures approximately 7,050 km through various climate, economic, and geographical zones to its far western border. Throughout these zones, Tnemrot experiences climatic changes that range from continental and Mediterranean along the coast through deserts, thick forests, grasslands, plains, and various other stretches including mountainous terrain with tundra like climates at their peaks. Geographically speaking, Tnemrot is a difficult country to explain. It benefits from a low-lying coast in some areas to a steep walled coast in other areas, rugged interior terrains with a long mountain range, plentiful rivers, lakes, and basins, long plains, and various other obstacles. Economically speaking, Tnemrot is a mix of various schools and thoughts. Along its low-lying coastal regions, trade is especially significant and easily accessed by many deep water ports. Towards the interior, where rivers flow deep and wide enough to allow the transportation of large vessels, trade from the coast is equally experience. In areas such as the desert and mountainous regions, the population is often sparse. Agricultural trade is significant and the largest sector is manufacturing. Tnemrot is blessed with a significant amount of manufacturing facilities and resource rich land.

Throughout these 2,500 years of history, Tnemrot has evolved with modern science and technology but kept many of its traditional roots. Demographically speaking, Tnemrot is no different than it was 2,000 years ago except that it has more land and people. Religion plays a heavy aspect in the lives of people and over 80% of the country belongs to a pagan religion that believes in hundreds of gods, Luna the moon goddess being the chief deity. The remaining 20% are mostly different types of Catholicism and are isolated more towards the southeastern portion of Tnemrot, around the city of Hure, which is considered an enigma in the country because of its Catholicism and unique culture, unlike that of the rest of Tnemrot.

[3.1] Climate

Climate within the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot varies significant. Along the coasts there are both continental and Mediterranean zones but as one would travel more west, the climates change significantly.

Along the northeastern portion of the coast, Tnemrot experiences a humid continental climate. Summers are very hot and winters are very cold with temperatures approaching and exceeding 33°C (91°F) in the summer and averaging -10°C (14°F) in the winter. The average summer temperature is 28°C (82°F) and there is a significant amount of rainfall experienced in both the spring and fall with heavy snowfall amounts in the winter. Summers are usually dry although this is not predictable as some summers have been significantly wetter than previous ones. Along the southern portions of the coast there is a Mediterranean climate zone. The climate is characterized by hot, dry summers and cool, wet winters.

West of the coasts is the two largest belts. The first is a thick forest that stretches for a large portion of the land. Though not necessarily a rainforest, these areas experience high humidity during the summers and significant rainfall throughout the spring. During the winter, this area is very cold and experiences a significant amount of snowfall, more than any other zone in Tnemrot. The area is frequently hit by large storms during both the winter and the summer that can unleash heavy winds, high amounts of precipitation, and linger for days on end. As the lands move towards the west, a large mountainous region rises on the horizon.

The Leurc Mountains dominate the landscape and act as a western barrier between Tnemrot and the lands to the west. Until the Middle Ages, these mountains were uncrossed by Tnemration armies due to their harsh weather climates. Peaks can rise to over 6,100 meters (20,000 feet) and the highest peak sits at 9,215 meters (30,233 feet). These mountains are lashed by various climate zones, with tundra like climates towards the tops and various climates throughout the bases and valleys. These mountains usually experience only two seasons. There is a summer season that is generally warm and a harsh, cold, and unforgiving winter season.

As the mountains travel west, they begin to taper off into plains and grasslands that experience a sort of semi-arid climate to their west and a tropical savanna climate to their east. As the grasslands and plains move west, rainfall amounts get lower and lower. Temperatures during the summer can be as high as 40°C (104°F) and as low as -40°C (-40°F) in the winter. These represent extremes and rainfall is usually around 250 - 500 millimeters (9.84 - 19.69 in). The temperature differences between summer and winter are much like those experienced between both day and night, where temperatures can plummet by as many as 50 degrees or more during the night from their daytime highs.

The westernmost portion of Tnemrot is dominated by one of the harshest climate types available. It is, essentially, a giant desert. Precipitation is less than 250 millimeters (9.84 in) in a year and massive temperature extremes during both day and night with high daytime temperatures (in summer up to 45°C or 113°F), and low night-time temperatures (in winter down to 0°C; 32°F) due to extremely low humidity. The Tnemration Desert, as it is known is not like that of the Sahara and is more like that of the deserts in the western United States, where plant life exists in the form of cacti and other flora and fauna that thrive in low-precipatory regions. The Tnemration desert is sparsely populated because of this and acts as a tough barrier between the main areas of Tnemrot and its western neighbors.

The only other climatic region in Tnemrot exists on the various islands to the north, south, and east of Tnemrot's coast. These islands number in the thousands and contain, mostly, oceanic climates. Oceanic climates are characterized by a narrower annual range of temperatures than are encountered in other places at a comparable latitude, and do not have the extremely dry summers of Mediterranean climates. Summers are also generally much cooler than in areas with a humid subtropical climate. Average temperature of warmest month must be less than 22°C (72°F), and that of the coldest month warmer than -3°C (27°F).

[3.2] Economy

The Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot has a massive and self-sustaining economy. The largest industries include manufacturing, technology, and agriculture. Rich in resources, Tnemrot's economy is mostly dependent on the location of navigable water routes. Along the coast and most of eastern Tnemrot, trade is in heavy abundance. Due to the presence of large, navigable rivers that can support large ocean vessels, heavy trade stretches as far inland as the entire forested regions. There is little trade between regions west of the Leurc Mountains and those east due to lack of readily passable routes.

East of the Leurc Mountains, Tnemrot is more than a first world country. The presence of a near 7,050 km coastline has given the Tnemration people a lot of access to the sea. The presence of many, deepwater ports that do not freeze during the winter months means that trade is continuous and year round. Tnemrot, simply because of the nature of its economy exports more goods than it imports and the largest sector of the Tnemration economy is manufacturing and the development of technology. Tourism is a significant industry during the summer months, particularly in southeastern Tnemrot and some areas in the northeastern portion of the country. Agriculture is also a major industry east of the mountains and the Tnemration people can, through various advanced methods, grow enough food to sustain the population without the necessity for foreign sources. This was a method and thinking that has developed throughout the history of Tnemrot, largely due to the tumultuous history that Tnemrot has experienced.

West of the Leurc Mountains, trade is significantly weaker. This is mostly due to the terrain and climate zones that leave most of western Tnemrot sparsely populated. The majority of trade west of the mountains is done with agriculture and handmade goods. There are few factories west of the mountains and those that are located there are an enigma and entirely self-sufficient. They do not contribute to the economy of their regions and their goods are exported to other areas of the country.

[3.3] Geography

The geography of the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot is as varied as its climactic zones. Tnemrot contains most of the geographical types and extends from coastlines to mountains and deserts as the land travels east to west.

Along the eastern coast, Tnemrot experiences two types of geography. In the northeastern region, the coast is low-lying with sandy beaches and various deepwater ports. As the coastline turns southward though, a significant percentage of the coast is dominated by steep, high, rock walls that average some 35 meters (115 feet). Towards the southeastern portion of the coast, these walls drop down into more low-lying, sandy beaches with deepwater ports. There are several ports along the rock-wall faces but only in areas where the walls are not very high. In the southeastern portion of the coast is the delta for the Worros River, which snakes through a significant portion of the country all the way to the Leurc Mountains in the west. It is the largest river in the country and the second largest is the Etah River, which has a delta in the northeastern portion of the country. However, the Etah River does not snake all the way to the mountains and is less than three quarters as long as the Worros River.

West of the coastal region of Tnemrot, which is largely flat, is the Forest of Niap, a huge forest that covers over forty percent of Tnemrot's land. It is a very thick forest in some areas and, in others, it is thinned due to deforestation and human presence over the years. Because most of the Forest of Niap is considered to be protected land, it has some of the largest trees around, many stretching up as high as 125 meters (410 feet). The Forest of Niap is neither flat nor is it hilly. There are parts that experience vertical drops in excess of 200 meters (656 feet) and there are mountains that can reach as high as 1,650 meters (5,413 feet) but there is no one, uniform description for the terrain. In some areas it is very rocky while others have large abundances of fresh soil. Around the cities and towns in the Forest of Niap, the land is more flat than hilly and the vegetation is thinner than elsewhere.

The Leurc Mountains form a natural barrier and a sort of wall in Tnemrot. They separate the western portions of the country with the eastern portions. Their peaks can rise to over 6,100 meters (20,000 feet) and the highest peak, Mount Luna, sits at 9,215 meters (30,233 feet). These mountains are akin to Hindu Kush mountains seen in Afghanistan and Pakistan. They are very treacherous and, essentially cut off an entire half of the country. Along their northernmost and southernmost portions, they are lower than elsewhere and these are the locations of the only year-round passes.

Immediately west of the Leurc Mountains is a massive portion of land that are, essentially, grasslands. Situated on a long, flat plain, these grasslands extend in an arch shape that exist immediately west of the mountains and taper off as they travel west. However, they do run all the way to the southwestern border of Tnemrot and connect to neighboring countries. These grasslands are much like those seen in Africa and Brazil and sustain a significant portion of plant and animal life. Population in the region is sparse compared to the rest of Tnemrot but it is large enough to sustain its own economic and industrial base. In a way, they are like an independent country within Tnemrot and are equipped to run themselves.

West of the grasslands is the Tnemration Desert. Devoid of most life, the desert is abundant in flora and fauna much like deserts in the southwestern and western United States, particularly Arizona and New Mexico. The area is sparsely populated with a fraction of Tnemrot's population and are entirely self-sufficient. Because the desert is covered in desert flora and fauna, rocks, and sand it is a harsh environment that is unfriendly to humans, it is not considered a strategic area for Tnemrot.

[3.4] Culture

The culture of Tnemrot is as old as Tnemrot and has changed very little over the centuries. It has evolved with technology and science but it is still heavily rooted in traditions that are hundreds of years old. Tnemration culture, being highly traditional, is also very religious. There are three distinct cultures though in Tnemrot and the largest encompassing everywhere in Tnemrot except the desert lands and southeastern portion of the country.

Main Tnemration Culture

The people of Tnemrot live in a society that uses morality, tradition, and religion as a way of life. Holy days are considered to be the most important days in the calendar year and events such as the Lunar Eclipse or Solar Eclipse have significant meanings to the Tnemration people. At the head of their pantheon of gods and goddesses is Luna, the moon goddess. Tnemration priests and elders perform rites, rituals, and ceremonies at every full moon and eclipse and at various other points throughout the year in order to bring the blessings of the gods upon the people. People view natural disasters, war, and catastrophes as a sign of their disobedience to the gods and goddesses and pray to them for many things, including success, wealth, health, and fertility.

The Tnemration government is a mix of the oldest forms of government and a modern form. Prior to the establishment of these new forms and of modern society, Tnemrot was nothing more than various tribes living in villages dispersed throughout the country. Each village was ruled by an elder, who was the wisest man in the village and able to read the ancient texts, pray and communicate with the gods and goddesses, and run each village. Marriages were arranged and still are with such things as homosexuality and divorce being heavily discourages, frowned upon, and illegal in many locations. The Tnemration government today still retains a Council of Elders, referred to as the Supreme Council, that oversees the country. The government is a Theocratic Republic and the Republic portion of this comes from a bicameral assembly of politicians who pass legislation and conduct the daily affairs of the country. However, their efforts require permission from the Supreme Council and can always be overridden by the Supreme Council.

The Tnemration culture is a hard working culture that heralds education, a moral life, and family. Traditions dating back 1,500 years or more are still observed. The warrior code in Tnemrot is also a very domineering force and way of life. Tnemration males are expected to serve in the military for four years at the age of eighteen following the completion of schooling. Following this, they are expected to further improve upon their moral upbringings by obtaining education in collegiate environments or trade schools. The average Tnemration male is married by the age of twenty-six and the average Tnemration female is married by the age of twenty-two. Females are expected to be mothers and wives first. It is not common to see Tnemration women in high positions in the government, society, or in companies though women are not brutally repressed. Women are often as learned as men but have a place at home rather than in the working environment. Suffrage is universal to all males and females at the age of eighteen and though it once extended only to free males and females, with the abolition of slavery in 1970, it has encompassed all people. It is not uncommon though to see the wealthiest families of society still possessing slaves of some sort although this is becoming less and less. It is estimated that by 2012, only 1% of the wealthiest 1% of Tnemrot will still possess slaves. Though not exactly illegal, this is more of a bend to the writ abolishing slavery.

In some of the more remote regions of Tnemrot, human sacrifices are still considered a part of major religious ceremonies. This practice is not common in the more urbanized and developed portions of Tnemrot but is not considered taboo in any part of the country except southeastern Tnemrot.

Catholic Tnemrot

In southeastern Tnemrot, there is an enclave that has existed now for over 600 years. Though Catholic missionaries attempted to convert Tnemrot to Roman Catholicism in the 800s and 900s, their efforts went in vain. During persecutions of Catholic missionaries during these times, many of them escaped to southeastern Tnemrot, where converted elders and lords enacted and defended an enclave. To this day, the southeastern portion of Tnemrot is considered a separate state within Tnemrot. Though acknowledged by the main government and ruling body of Tnemrot, it is not recognized as being a full part of Tnemrot. As such, its citizens and culture is looked down upon by most Tnemration citizens.

The region benefits from self-rule and is more like a special economic zone. It is dominated by those of Catholic faith and though the region is very religious and rooted in Catholic tradition, it is a more liberal society and culture than the rest of Tnemrot. Though considered inferior by most of the Tnemration nation, the culture inside of this region also rooted and based around proper morality. Business ethics are rooted in morality and priests are considered as important as politicians. Sundays are considered days of rest and little business activity is conducted on Sundays expect essential ones such as pharmacies and supermarkets.

Many of the citizens here are Doomani Catholics and

Western Tnemrot

Western Tnemrot culture is completely different from that east of the Leurc Mountains. Culture within the grasslands is excluded as it is considered to be identical to that of the desert of Tnemrot. The primary region for this cultural segment is the desert. Despite being sparsely populated, the populace that does constitute demographics in the desert is a populace that is vastly different from that of the grasslands. Though they do share some similarities. They do believe strongly in a village type system with elders and traditional roots, their similarities stop there. They are heavily spiritual and believe in a way of life that is one with nature. This culture would be no different than that of many Native American tribes in the United States. They are not very influenced by warlike behavior though they are highly territorial. Unlike their nomadic ancestors, they have settled down into various regions of the Tnemration Desert, usually where there is a viable water source, and mainly keep to themselves. Unlike the rest of Tnemrot, they are not considered to be a first world nation.

There does exist an animosity between these people and the main Tnemration culture, mainly due to an extensive campaign during the 1400s and 1600s to eradicate these indigenous people from the region. Though they are considered to be sovereign territory of the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot, the Tnemration government has little, if any control over these areas and prefers it that way.

[3.5] Demographics

According to an unofficial 2008 census, the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot has a population of 7,971,000,000. It is one of the most populous places on Earth. Of those individuals, some 52.81% are women and 47.19% are men. The distribution of the populace is 26.5% (ages 0 - 16), 53.5% (ages 17 - 64), and 20.0% (ages 65 and above). The average age of males is 35.8 years and the average age of females is 38.9 years, giving a median average of 37.4 years. Tnemrot is seeing an annual growth rate of some 1.48% with an average 26.27 births per 1,000 people and an average 13.57 deaths per 1,000 people. Migration rates are low, mainly because of the Tnemration culture, way of life, and heavy nationalism. Migratory rates are less than 0.50% per 1,000 people.

Infant mortality rates for males are 2.78 deaths per 1,000 live births and, for females, it is 1.66 deaths per 1,000 live births. The median average here is 2.22 deaths per 1,000 live birthdays. Life expectancy at birth, for males, is 79.2 years and for females it is 85.9 years, averaging out to 82.6 years, among the highest in the world. On the average, each woman gives birth to 3.82 children.

Individuals with HIV/AIDS and venerial diseases is under 0.000001% of the populace due to culture and sex education programs in schools.

Ethnically speaking, the people of Tnemrot are caucasian. Some 94.58% are caucasian. Of the remaining 4.42%, 2.27% are indigenous people that live in western Tnemrot, 1.2% are black, and the remaining 0.5% make up various other ethnicities. These 1.7% are mainly found in the southeastern portion of Tnemrot. The majority religion is pagan and some 91.47% of the populace belongs to the pagan rite. Of the remaining 8.53%, 6.23% are Catholic and the rest are classified as "other." The 2.27% of the indigenous population is largely considered to be in this category as "indigenous religion" and other religions also exist but in minute amounts. Barely any of the populace considers themselves either atheist or agnostic. Literacy rates are quoted as 100% throughout the country but are as low as 85% in western Tnemrot. The HDI of Tnemrot is 0.935.

[4.0] Administrative Details

The Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot is a theocratic republic. The Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot is ruled by two bodies, one of which is subservient to the other. Aside from these two bodies, the government of Tnemrot has a functional judiciary, legislature, and executive. The executive maintains absolute power above all concordant branches of the government. Within the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot, there are fourteen provinces, which are further broken into ninety-five states.

At the highest level of government is the Supreme Council, a council made up of several elders of Tnemration society whom act as a ruling body. They are responsible for approving legislation that comes out of the National Assembly. The Supreme Council of Elders, as it is known by its formal name, contains fifteen elders of society, one of whom is appointed as the Overlord by the council. As Overlord, this elder is, essentially, the supreme ruler of the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot. Only he and he alone can approve legislation and writs of law. It is the responsibility of the Supreme Council to guide the country as well as to conduct the various aspects of business for the government such as trade, commerce, foreign relations, finances, defense, law and order, education, and everything else for the running of the government.

Underneath the Supreme Council is the National Assembly, a bicameral legislature that provides assistance to the Supreme Council in the running of the government. The upper house of the National Assembly is the Senate and the lower house is the Chamber of Deputies. The Senate is largely responsible for proposing legislation, budgetary matters, and many other daily activities. Senators are elected to six year terms and there are no term limits. The leader of the National Assembly is the leading member of the majority party in the Senate. Senators are elected by a popular vote of the people and there are 825 Senators. The Chamber of Deputies, on the other hand, is responsible mainly for the concerns of local districts and areas of Tnemrot. Deputies are elected to four year terms and there are 1,675 deputies. Deputies mainly represent the local concerns of their constituents and are also elected by a popular vote. All legislation is formed in and approved in the Senate before it is passed on to the Supreme Council, which reviews the bills. If they are in accordance with already established writs and laws, then it is approved. If not, it is vetoed by the council. The Supreme Council can and does often write their own bills and writs, which the National Assembly is required to pass. Along with the Supreme Council of Elders and the National Assembly, there is also the judicial aspect of the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot. At the federal and most important level there is also a Council of Overseers, which acts like a supreme court. However, they do not review the legality of legislation but rather try cases of politicians, elders, and other elites of society who break the law. The Council of Overseers are also tasked with judicial review of prominent cases in Tnemrot.

The Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot is broken up into various administrative divisions. At the highest level are provinces, which include states. Inside of each state are respective counties, cities, villages, and towns. Provinces and states are administrated by governors who are elected also by popular vote. Cities, counties, towns, and villages are ruled by various mayors, administrators, councils, and other ruling bodies. None of them administrators can pass legislation in their respective locales unless it is approved by a group known as the Guardians. These Guardians are small councils appointed by the Supreme Council of Elders to act in their absence.

The seat of state is the Castle of Nis in the city of Milde. Milde is an interior city along the Worros River that is situated on the top of a high hill. Built in the late 1300s, it is a large fortress and castle that served as home to Lord Hades, one of the most prominent rulers of Tnemration history. The Supreme Council of Elders has since turned it into their main seat of power. The seat of government, on the other hand, is the Tnemration Capitol building in Anthem, the capital of Tnemrot. Since the establishment of the National Assembly in 1905, the Capitol Building has since been home for the National Assembly. The structure is built on gothic architecture and is among the largest buildings in Anthem excluding sky scrappers.

[4.1] Administrative Divisions

The Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot is broken into fourteen provinces. Except for two of these provinces, all of them are almost identical to the rest and are organized in much of the same fashion. These provinces are all considered part of the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot and many have unique histories that extend back beyond the history of Tnemrot itself.

Tnemration Provinces

The twelve main provinces of the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot are, essentially, one cohesive body. Their names are the same as their major cities: Anthem, Burne, Carnie, Divina, Harron, Kove, Milde, Nox, Palmara, Salvinas, Torra, and Utica. Together, these provinces make up a significant portion of the population of Tnemrot. At the center of each of these provinces are their capital cities, all of which have populations in excess of 5,000,000. All twelve of these provinces, when combined, contain 92.08% of the Tnemration population. The remaining 7.92% are located in the other two provinces, both of which share differences than these twelve.

Province of Horza

The Province of Horza is one of the bigger provinces of Tnemrot in terms of land area but the smallest in terms of populace. It contains just 1.9% of Tnemrot's population and exists in the western region along the western border, entirely within the Tnemration Desert. The province's location primarily makes it isolated from the government in Anthem and Milde and exerts its own self-rule and independence, through de facto means. Though it does not contain any of the luxuries of the remainder of Tnemrot, including the Province of Hure, Horza is as isolated as they come. The only examples of Tnemration government in this area is the presence of a large border wall, which runs the entire length of the western border, a single military outpost on the edge of the desert and grasslands, and an administrative center. In reality, this military outpost and administrative center are subordinate to the government in Milde and Anthem but exercise their own policies. The populace here is nearly entirely indigenous though there are some Doomani and Roman Catholics who fled here during the persecutions and settled into the remote and harsh region.

Province of Hure

The Province of Hure is a large area in southeastern Tnemrot. The Province is much like a sovereign state but is not fully one. It does have the benefit of self-rule but does not have the ability to delcare war, levy trade, or many other things an independent state can. However, because the Province of Hure has been granted self-rule, they have their own unique history.

The Province of Hure's history dates back to the 800s and 900s. Catholic missionaries, in hopes of converting the Tnemration pagans had come to the land and set up dozens of missionaries throughout the country. They initially met resistance but following a decade or so of influence, they were able to convert millions to Catholicism, namely Roman Catholicism and Doomani Catholicism. However, following the expansion of these ideals to parts of the country that were vested with pagan lords and powerful members of the government, a persecution ensued. Over the course of twenty-five years, Tnemration armies located and destroyed every missionary and many monestaries and churches. Catholic missions and priests were rounded up and executed by these armies. Any converted citizens were also rounded up and executed as well, the preferred methods being very varied. Those that managed to escape found themselves in the southeastern portion of Tnemrot, where a powerful lord, who converted to Doomani Catholicism himself protected them. Following centuries of small battles between these lands and the pagans, a truce was declared in 1587. This truce established the Province of Hure as a self-ruling land that was subordinate to the government of Tnemrot. Territorially, Hure was Tnemration but it was granted sovereignty over its own borders and allowed to exist as an enclave for Catholics.

Currently, the Province of Hure contains 6.02% of the populace of Tnemrot and is dominated by Catholicism. Current census information shows that, of these 480,000,000 people, over 80% are Doomani Catholics and the remaining 20% are Roman Catholics. The Province of Hure was, at one time, isolated from the rest of Tnemrot by a large wall that had been constructed by ruling Lords but has since lost much of that isolation. However, the province, though still regarded as sovereign Tnemration territory, asserts itself as an entirely different part of Tnemrot. This is partly true as the culture is entirely different.

[4.2] Domestic Policies

Domestic policies of the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot are vastly different from many countries around the world. Domestic policies focus on the conservative side of the spectrum with a major emphasis on responsibility, morality, conservatism, and religion. Domestic policies are enforced strictly in some cases but leisurely in others, usually along a spectrum of importance. Law is heavily enforced and often not subject to change.

Character & Moral Conduct

With regards to character and moral conduct, the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot has significant laws dedicated to these categories. Responsibility is a main factor with laws. Individuals who attempt to sue for their own misuse of products and "stupidity" are denied suit and are forced to pay back the government for the funds expended for the legal process. The influence of moral conduct on cases was significant as well. A heavy emphasis was placed on moral conduct within the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot.

Conscription

With regards to conscription, the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot lists mandatory military conscription for a duration of four years for every male following their graduation of secondary school. Males with medical disabilities limiting them from combat service are given non-combat duties within the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot. Failure to serve is met with an eight year prison term without parole and their record reflects this. Being a felon, they lose many rights and freedoms that individuals are given. In times of war, the Supreme Council reserves the right to institute a draft and all males aged 18 to 40 are considered eligible for service and draft. Local militias do exist and often can be as powerful as theater or local military assets but the two do not oppose each other.

Crime & Law

With regards to crime and law, the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot maintains it as the focal point of the state, even above defense. Law and order are considered paramount in the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot. Violations of law and order are treated as such and punished accordingly. Crimes are classified as common crimes, misdemeanors, felonies, and capital crimes. Common crimes include parking violations, speeding violations, and other petty crimes that are normally dealt with by summonses or warnings. Misdemeanors are "lesser" criminal acts. Misdemeanors are generally punished less severely than felonies; but theoretically more so than common crimes. Misdemeanors are classified in four groups ranging from a class A, which can have up to two years in prison and/or up to ©20,000 in fines to class D, which can have a maximum of thirty days in jail and/or fines up to ©5,000. Those serving prison sentences for misdemeanors are held in minimum or medium security facilities with individuals serving misdemeanors as well. Felonies are categorized in four groups as well, with class A felons serving prison sentences in excess of 35 years, class B felons serving prison sentences between 20 and 35 years, class C felons serving between 10 and 20 years, and class D felons serving between 2 and 10 years. Fines are imposed as well. Individuals convicted of felonies, upon completion of their sentence, are severely limited. They are required to have a tracking device surgically implanted into their body, their civil rights are curtailed to where they cannot vote and neither can they work in some institutions, usually determined by their crimes. Those convicted of sexual assault cannot hold jobs in schools and hospitals. Individuals convicted of robbery cannot work in banks. Then, there are capital crimes, punishable by death. There are five capital crimes: homicide, rape, heresy, severe crimes against children, and treason. Individuals convicted of these crimes are held in maximum security facilities are often kept in their cells for up to 23 hours a day and are severely restricted. These individuals, on average, are imprisoned for a total of 1.5 years before they are executed. With regards to appeals in all cases, all individuals are granted, under the law one appeal. Should that appeal maintain their conviction, they will continue to serve their sentence. In cases where released felons commit crimes again, even misdemeanors, they are immediately returned to jail and imprisoned for life as a class A felon, regardless of the level of the infraction. There is a "two-strike" rule. Ex post facto laws are prohibited. The Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot does not believe in rehabilitation as much as it believes in punishment. Lesser crimes may be met with rehabilitation but it will not reduce their sentences or punishment. Individuals who commit false accusations are charged with one class higher of crime as those that they are accusing and perjury is an automatic class C felony. There is a trial by jury for all misdemeanors. Felony trials are also trial by jury but the judge has far more power over the jury than in misdemeanor trials. Capital crimes are not trial by jury. Intoxication during a crime raises the class of the crime by one degree, for example, drunk driving where an individual is killed will be regarded as a capital crime.

Defense

With regards to defense, defense remains the second most important policy within the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot. It is a primary obligation of the federal government to provide for the common defense, and to be vigilant regarding potential threats, prospective capabilities, and perceived intentions of potential enemies. The Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot is against Tnemration forces serving under the flag of a foreign country or command and even during war, they remain under Tnemration authority only. The goal of the Tnemration security policy is to defend the national security interests of the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot. The Supreme Council calls for the maintenance of a strong, state-of-the-art military on land, sea, in the air, and in space. Women are not permitted to serve in the military under any capacity except as that of a civilian under the Ministry of Defense. Militias, not outlawed, are not to take the place of the military.

Diseases

With regards to incurable diseases, the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot classifies them in two main categories: contagious and non-contagious. Non-contagious diseases include cancer and other like diseases. Contagious diseases are classified according to their method of transmission. Venereal diseases are considered some of the most immoral and are frowned upon significantly. Such diseases are treated as threats to national security and individuals are forced to relocate to camps and secluded villages where they cannot pass their diseases to the remainder of the public [secret IC]. These areas, though segregated from society are not under standards but seclusion from the outside world is strictly enforced.

Drugs

With regards to illegal drugs, the use, sale, possession, and manufacturing of illegal drugs is considered a felony. Though not explicitly declared as a capital crime, extreme cases of drug trafficking can be met with execution. Drugs are a problem within the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot and are being dealt with accordingly. The Food & Drug Administration has the authority to declare whether or not a drug is considered legal. Marijuana, a drug legal in some states, is not legal in the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot for any use, recreational or medicinal. In the Province of Horza, some substances used for medicinal purposes and for use in religious and spiritual ceremonies have been given legality for use only in these prescribed methods and locations.

Education

Education is considered the third most paramount topic in the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot but, because of its distinctly domestic nature, it is proportionally more than defense. Education is considered extremely important within the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot. There is full support for the unimpeded right of parents to provide for the education of their children in the manner they deem best, including home, private, or religious. Educational material is controlled strictly by the Ministry of Education and it encompasses many aspects. Religious education is taught only in religious schools. Sexual education classes are mandatory in all classes, public or private. Education is not considered secondary by any means and all education is taught in English. Foreign languages are also taught from the very earliest years. A major emphasis is put on Tnemration history and it includes history dating back to before 450 B.C. No history is ignored. Mathematics, science, and practical classes are taught as much as other courses. Following secondary school, while males serve four year conscriptions, females are enrolled in a practical school that teaches home economics, finances, maternity, and other important topics.

Energy

With regards to energy, the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot strongly supports clean, cheap, safe, and renewable energy. Because of this, the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot has no reliance on petroleum. Vehicles are all powered by ethanol though some older cars use E85, which features 85% ethanol. Power is provided, mostly, through nuclear power. In areas where nuclear power is not deemed to be safe or economical enough, other methods are explored. Wind, solar, and hydro power stations are plentiful and every instance where power can be gained from the environment, without damaging it, is exploited. For instance, where solar radiation is at its highest, solar power is frequently used. In instances were wind is significant, wind stations are constructed. Hydroelectric power uses the natural gravitational force of water to provide power. Other forms of power aside from nuclear power is the use of geothermal power, the burning of garbage, the burning of biomass, and the burning of natural gas. Oil and coal power plants account for well under 1% of the total power generated are only built in places where no other alternatives can be had. Petroleum is used strictly for military applications, jet fuel, shipping, and several other applications. For the most part, petroleum is not used significantly in the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot. Substitutes are in constant use. Due to this reliance on renewable energy, the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot is capable of storing up to 100 billion barrels of oil, enough to supply the military for up to one year, if all petroleum was cut off to the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot.

Environment

It is responsibility of the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot to be prudent, productive, and efficient stewards of the Earth's natural resources. This requires a proper and continuing dynamic balance between development and conservation, between use and preservation. The Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot supports realistic efforts to preserve the environment and reduce pollution - air, water, and land. The Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot protects in excess of some 1,800,000 km² of land from economic development. Offshore fisheries are protected as well and crimes that damage and destroy the environment are strictly enforced and prosecuted. However, the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot does distinguish that humans have more rights than trees.

Family

The Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot places a very strong emphasis on family. Businesses are encouraged to stay closed on Sundays so that individuals may stay home with their families. The Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot defines marriage as the union between one man and one woman. The marriage covenant is the foundation of the family, and the family is fundamental in the maintenance of a stable, healthy and prosperous social order. The Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot rejects the notion that sexual offenders are deserving of legal favor or special protection. The Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot opposes homosexuality and openly prosecute it as a felony. The Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot values the father and the mother in the home and divorce is largely illegal. Divorces, when allowed, must be proven to be the ultimate and final resort for the couple and must get approval from a high court.

Foreign Policy

The Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot is properly a free and sovereign state which should strive to live in peace with all nations, without interfering in their internal affairs, and without permitting their interference in the domestic affairs of the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot. The Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot has entered into numerous trade alliances. Non-aggression pacts are ignored as they traditionally lack any binding power whatsoever. The Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot strongly opposes international organizations that violate the sovereignty of states. The Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot opposes signing any international laws and remains a semi-isolated nation, only getting involved with conflicts abroad that directly threaten the national security of the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot. It does not view itself as a worldwide "police force" and makes no attempts to dictate the domestic affairs of foreign nations.

Gambling

Gambling is legal above the age of 18 but debts incurred by gambling cannot be used as an excuse for problems in life. Gambling may be treated as an addiction elsewhere but each and every person has the capacity to overcome addictions if they are responsible enough.

Gun Control

The Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot makes no attempt to ban the right of its citizens to own firearms. However, it does place some limitations on them that serve to benefit the populace as a whole. Automatic weapons, whether they fire in burst or fully automatic modes, are available through special permit only. Explosives such as, but not limited to, grenades, rocket launchers, and plastic explosives are banned. Suppressors are legal but require a special permit. Hand guns may be owned by any citizen who has not committed a felony in their life as long as they are over the age of 18. Rifles may be owned by citizens over the age of 16 in low calibers (under .31 caliber) and over the age of 18 in high calibers. Shotguns may be owned by citizens over the age of 16. Sawed-off shotguns are illegal. Machine guns, even in semi-automatic form are banned except with special permit, normally only granted to legal militia groups. No citizen may be denied the right to possess and own a firearm within these limitations if they are over the minimum legal age, they have qualified in a course that teaches safety and proper use of firearms, and they have never been convicted of a felony.

Healthcare

The Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot determines that healthcare is a basic necessity to life. Rightfully so, healthcare is universal to all individuals. In order to obtain healthcare though, the individual must be employed. Individuals who are not employed and lack viable excuses are removed from the healthcare system. Individuals with limitations that are acceptable under law and the Ministry of Commerce do not have their health coverage terminated if they cannot continue to work.

Immigration

The Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot strongly affirms its borders. Immigration is restricted according to certain classifications. In order to travel to the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot you must apply for a visa in advance and go through a short background check and interview. If you fail you won't be allowed the visa. Each tier of immigration faces less and less restrictions to obtain a travel visa. Temporary immigration is considered travel visas. In so far as temporary residence visas and student visas are concerned, the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot puts a national cap of 150,000 temporary residents and 500,000 students each year. Naturalization requires residency in the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot for a minimum of 10 years, good moral character, completion of several interviews, and completion of several exams. Illegal immigrants are immediately deported. Illegal immigrants who repeatedly enter the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot can be imprisoned. The Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot reserves the right to execute illegal immigrants attempting to subvert the borders of the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot. Individuals with temporary visas who commit crimes can be imprisoned or deported.

Personal and Private Property Security

The Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot affirms the right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects against unreasonable searches and seizures. The Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot also reaffirms that the government must be strictly limited in their powers to intrude upon the persons and private property of individual citizens, in particular, that no place be searched and no thing be seized, except upon proof of probable cause that a crime has been committed and the proper judicial warrant issued. The Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot opposes legislation and administrative action utilizing asset forfeiture laws which enable the confiscation of the private property of persons not involved in the crime. Forfeiture of assets can only be enforced after conviction of the property owner as a penalty for the crime. Such forfeitures must follow full due process of law under criminal prosecution standards.

Pornography

Unlike many states in the world, pornography is banned in the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot. It is considered immoral and improper and is not regarded as a category of film.

Religion

The Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot is a theocratic state. Its one and only official religion is the pagan rite although in the provinces of Horza and Hure, which have self-rule, the pagan rite is not the official religion. In Horza, indigenous religions are dominant and, in Hure, it is Catholicism that dominates.

Sanctity of Life

With regards to the "sanctity of life," the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot takes an unusual and non-traditional outlook. Abortion is illegal except in cases of rape, death to the mother or child, or if the child is determined to be born mentally retarded. In the first instance, the state pays for the abortion, should the victim choose to have one, and the criminal must repay the state with what assets they have remaining. Debts add to prison sentences. In instances where the mother or child may die, the ultimate question of whether or not to go through the abortion is ultimately left with the mother and father. More then three professional, medical opinions must be given in order to have the abortion approved. In instances where the child will be born mentally retarded, the same scenario applies where the decision is ultimately left with the mother and father and three professional, medical opinions must be given. In regards to suicide, there is no law against suicide but failed attempts can be often be met with state enforced institutionalization. Euthanasia is legal as well but only for cases of terminal illness, where three professional, medical opinions are given, consent from the individual or from those with power of attorney is given, and the disease is determined to be completely incurable, by any methods in existence.

Tariffs and Trade

The Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot opposes all international trade agreements which have the effect of diminishing Tnemrot's economic self-sufficiency and of exporting jobs, the loss of which impoverishes Tnemration families, undermines Tnemration communities, and diminishes Tnemrot's capacity for economic self-reliance, and the provision of national defense. Outsourcing is not an acceptable practice within the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot. The Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot believes in Free Trade Agreements but does not allow them to weaken the national security and integrity of the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot. Tariffs imposed are not imposed to dissuade foreign investment but are also in effect to encourage buying domestic goods over foreign goods.

Taxes

The Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot does not believe in heavy taxation. The lack of social welfare programs mean that more funding can be utilized where it is needed, which allows tax rates to be kept low. There is a 20% flat tax on all income and tax evasion is considered a felony crime. Taxation of inheritance, gifts, and prizes is not in effect. Sales tax is determined by the standard of living in certain areas and it is what provides the most funding to states. No area may impose a minimum wage lower than this and the average minimum wage is ©8.68 per hour.

Welfare

Such countries as the Empire of Layarteb and the Free Realm of Dnalkrad were once under Tnemration control. However, following the end of the Dark Ages in 1000 AD, Tnemration territory has since been reduced to what it is today. Since the onset of the Tnemration Renaissance, Tnemration thinking and reasoning has turned more inward and currently foreign relations is second to domestic policies. Though it is second, foreign relations remains an important category for the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot. The Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot does not consider itself an isolationist state but rather a non-interventionist state. As such, the Forsaken Realm of Tnemrot does not consider it necessary nor moral to interfere in the sovereignty of any foreign nation.
