It was at the council of the Lords of Gholgoth in ULE City that a decision was reached. The fading sun cast its last rays of light upon the windows of the Great Hall, where in solitude they did plot and plan their strategy for the campaign they had agreed upon. This was the first time that Gothic leadership had met with Dreadfire since his return to power, and as he glanced about the room at the familiar faces of President Reid, the Lord Reaver, and so on, he cleared his throat and prepared to conclude the meeting.

So again, Freekish and Novan assets in the region are available for Gothic forces to use as staging areas, though if they decide to resist our forces will spring into action immediately. Therefore per our rules of engagement I suggest everyone begin moving men and material into the area quickly. Having said that, it was good to see you all here in Automagfreek and I raise a drink to you all, for tomorrow and in the days to come we will celebrate our victory.

Later that evening, Freekish expeditionary forces across Freekish Nova Iceland under the command of Warchief Lucian Borgir began to prepare themselves for action both offensively and defensively if need be. For months he had been rotated to the island and had grown violently bored due to the lack of action, and upon receiving orders from Freekish High Command he sprang into action and literally sped off towards his waiting flagship. The large garrison of Sentinels stationed there would be reinforced in the coming days by additional Freekish units as well as forces from assorted Gothic nations who would be participating, though Lucian was confident he could easily protect Nova Iceland while taking the fight to those who resisted.

As dawn broke the next day, a message from Lord Damien Dreadfire was sent to the various leaders in Nova Europa. In the brief but to the point transmission, he made the intentions of Gholgoth clear as well as outlined the region's plans for Nova Europa.

To the rulers and masters of those nations residing in Nova Europa, I speak today directly to you.

For some time now Automagfreek and Novacom have maintained lands within your region, and in the years since we laid claim to these colonies we have developed an interest in greater Nova Europa. Gholgoth, as you may not be aware, is now actively expanding itself and therefore seeks to acquire the entirety of Nova Europa by any means deemed necessary. And to accomplish this goal we are prepared to take harsh military steps, though we hope that regional leaders will take us up on a generous offer we now make you.

The offer is as follows; assimilate yourselves into the Greater Gholgoth Regional Alliance peacefully, and you shall reap the benefits of cultures and societies far superior to your own. Resist in any way, shape, or form and you will be forced to assimilate through our combined might, which cannot be defeated or deterred.

Gholgoth, being the most powerful and most culturally advanced region in this modern world is prepared to be generous and gracious should you choose a peaceful transition. We will set about in introducing your peoples to a Gothic way of life, which is the most free and prosperous around. We are prepared to renovate your economies and bring them up to a respectable level, to which Nova Europa and Gholgoth will benefit greatly.

However should you choose to turn down our more than generous offer, then we shall unleash our combined might until resistance is non-existant. Gholgoth is more than capable of decisively defeating any forces Nova Europa could possibly muster, and we trust that you will spare yourselves harsh punishment and destruction.

I expect to hear from you soon, for even now Gothic warfleets are steaming towards Nova Europa. What they do is in your hands now.

OOC: I'd like to keep all of this as much IC as possible.

ICly Nova Europa would become affiliated territory of Gholgoth's, to which the GRA (Gholgoth Regional Alliance) would serve as the supreme authority of NE. Of course we plan to invest in your region and re-shape it, but we would also make certain changes in leadership and governments to better suit our agenda for Nova Europa.

That's roughly what our leaders have planned ICly.

OOC: Just an FYI, I've got a handful of islands, one Ionian, Cyrene, and one Agean, in the region that I bought. From Naasha. And you've been providing the reason to fight with you that the Vantanians have been itching for. This wouln't be the Great War for me, but it's a start.

The Greek Isles

So, immediantly all forces in nearby colonies, such as nearby Africa, were mobilized, and reinforcements started coming in to these islands. The defences here, which had been allowed to go lax after the TPF'ian threat faded, were instantly remanned. Civilian populations were evacuated off to Africa and the East Indies, while the military started up once again. Ships on patrol in the Nova Mediterranean were recalled to bulster the garrison, and civilian ships were denied access, other than essential commercial supplies for the military. To any satellites trained on these specks of land, the telegrams that would come out were inevitable now.

Why put up such a fight over these mountains specks of land? Culturally, Greece was the ancient homeland of many of the Vante. Economically, the islands had only just payed themselves off, and were tentatively starting to show signs of profit. However, most of all, it was a sense of revenge. Since the days of New Vantania, the entirity of the Vante were subject to anti-Gholgothic propaganda. When the Questarians lost the war, it was a great blow to both nations, and from that day forth half of the charity funds went to restoring Questers to its former condition.

Spoke VSIS Attache Kerris Wiltshaw in a rather stern tone, as she slapped the Orange Diplomatic File down on the desk resulting in a Sharpe thwack on the desk from Supreme General Gardner of the Vetakan Ground Forces whom was High Commander on call at the early time when the Freekish Diplomatic Communication came through.

Gardner opened the sealed file and read the still warm communication twice before his eyes narrowed and he spoke:

"Code Blue all Units within Nova Europa"

"Sir?" enquired Vetakan Security Security and Intelligence Service Attache Kerris Wiltshaw over a fresh midnight oatcake.

"Put all our Intel Units in Code Blue Hiding, Inform all Allies and the Chieftain" barked Gardner to the nervous Attache.

"Our Diplomatic Missions?" enquired VDF Commander of the Watch John Hamsmith over his Computer.

"Security Alert to all Embassy's and Emergency Message to all Allied Embassies, Inform and Slow Divert to the nearest VDF Naval Group to Nova Europa for prep with immediate evac of Vetakan and Allied Diplomatic Groups" snapped Gardner.

"Wake the Chieftain" continued Gardner

Corporal Will Elliot sighed as the Printer burst into life within the Control Room of the Vetakan Embassy at TWSP. The printer had broken into life four times already with pointless Foreign Affairs updates regarding various situations around the world. Corporal Eillot sighed as he snatched the print up from the HP printer. His eyes narrowed at its contents he snatched up the controls room and shouted at the person who answered:

"Sir, we have a situation, you better pop down"

In the aftermath of the Great Civil War of the 17th century there was a real feeling in this country that the principles of liberty should be exported abroad and defended against foreign aggression and tyranny. To some extent this holds true today, with Clandonia, British Londinium and Kahanistan, to name just three, becoming more affluent and free as a result of Praetonian influence... at least to an extent. And yet the great ideals that founded the nation that exists today, borne of experience of the oppression of feudalism that preceeded it, have been eschewed by the Tory idea of the "national interest". Our government says that it will expand freedom and defend it, or at least not hinder it, but only provided that it is also profitable, or strategically advantageous. This is why we are spreading liberty to Kahanistan but not to Automagfreek, and why we are allied with Doomingsland but not Cravan, a fellow liberal nation.

While my opinions on these issues have come into conflict with those in Government in the past, a new issue has recently emerged that is far more deserving of the public's attention than any that has preceeded it. This is the attempted annexation by the feudalists and corporatists in Gholgoth not of a nation, or an empire, but of an entire continent, at gunpoint, for the purposes of extending their own power and influence to further spread their oppression to better defended parts of the globe.

Like a common thug or gangster, Automagfreek demands the compliance of free peoples at gunpoint. She tempers her threat with the promise of possible future rewards - at her discretion, of course, and to be spent in a manner of her choosing. In this manner, Gholgoth seeks to imitate the successful efforts of the free trading nations to develop impoverished and unstable nations into strong, dignified powers, as Clandonia has been. But while the relationship between Praetonia and Clandonia has been one of mutual agreement and benefit - like a bank offering a loan to an entrepreneur to better his condition - the arrangement proposed here is akin to a mugger who appeals to the Magistrate that it was not so bad to force a law-abiding citizen hand over his wallet, on account of the fact that he offered to return the man's rail card.

The announcement from Automagfreek should send a chill down the spine of any free citizen. It may do us well to wonder how long, indeed, may it be until Praetonian subjects are faced with the words "assimilate yourselves into the Greater Gholgoth Regional Alliance peacefully... [or] you will be forced to assimilate through our combined might, which cannot be defeated or deterred". Although I doubt any government of ours would give in to such a threat, at risk indeed of violent overthrow, there may one day be a time, if the free peoples allow Gholgoth's aggressive expansionism to continue, that the latter threat resembles more closely the truth than an attempt at intimidation, as it does now.

The nations of Nova Europa have caused no great offence to any of their foreign peers. Their governments have conducted no aggression against their people of particular note. The peoples who inhabit that unfortunate continent have expressed no desire but to be left alone to conduct their affairs in peace. And yet Gholgoth proposes to deny this to them, to plunge them into the vanguard of a power struggle in which they have no interest for Gholgoth's advantage and to supplant the native civilisations of those countries with that of Gholgoth - a civilisation that, in those states such as Automagfreek that appear to direct its foreign policy, albeit not in all, seems principally to concern the ever-expanding control of state power centred around megolamaniac dictators.

The Government has, thus far, been silent on this issue. Nova Europa is of no great strategic import, either as a trading partner or as a base for the projection of military might. It does not meet the "Tory pragmatism" test of instances in which intervention would serve "the national interest". And yet the greatest interest of any free nation must surely be liberty, and here it is threatened by the assembled might of one of the greatest - and most terrible - alliances on earth. If a world is to be imagined in which Nova Europe flourishes great and free, it can come only at the point of the massed bayonets of the free and civilised nations. If on this issue the government fails to act with sufficient resolve, as appears quite likely, we will be guilty of dereliction of our duty to all the free peoples of the earth.

ooc: The correct term is are you still annoyed, and yes, its okay to correct other people's use of grammer (as well as capitalization) if it is used in moderation. Mainly, it makes it easier for someone to reply to a post that is neater and more well kept. And one that sounds less noobish, a bit of character to character talking always brings up a post.....

Also, a word to the wise, your posts are almost considered flaming, which could get you deleted...
