Twenty ships in each Brigade sailed towards their individual positions breaking off from the large battle group they made. The ships were mostly small anti-aircraft boats or boats with moderate sized hulls use to equip medium sized mortars and artillery. Thirty five thousand men were in each individual amphibious unit and the troops were all weary from fighting rebels in the Western Columbian province. The troops were well equipped the fight organized troops that fought like gorillas and the Trinidadian troops would be cut down easily.
