In a historic scientific accomplishment, a team from Helder University was able to stabilize an anti-matter cascade for 3 seconds using the large Photon Accelerator that is the size of a football field. I have here with me Dr. Vincent Price to tell us more on this accomplishment and it's impact:
Well the excitement surrounding this process is that in that 3 seconds we stablilized the anti-matter, enough energy was emitted that could power the nations capital for literally 5 years. Basically, anti-matter when it touches tangible matter it has a implosion effect that results in annihiliation, however, the power involved is more powerful than of 100 nuclear bombs. The possibilities for man kind are amazing, just think of an endless power supply, without the radiation effects like nuclear energy.
Not all in the scientific community view this accomplishment with as much excitement. Here's what Jenkin's University Professor Sam Braddock had to say:
The expierements and test that are being run are irresponsible and dangerous. If any mistake occurs, that could potentially wipe out the entire state. Furthermore, there is trouble here since the international community would now be in an arms race to acquire anti-matter weapons, just like the race for nukes...we have to put a stop to these tests!"
President Burrill in a press conference had this to say:
This accomplishment is a testament to the ingenuity and tenacity of the Marcudian people. We have some of the most elite scientific minds in the world and I am really excited about the possibilities that these new innovations may lead us. However, I feel it is as equally important that we get input from the world community and share alike in our advancements, since we are all part of the human race. Therefore, I invite all nations to send scientists to help in the further research of this new accomplishment in addition to help decide on the ethical issues involved. Thank You
