The Eidolon Covenant

Statement

The following Agreement represents the commitments taken by the Peacekeepers of Aleos to all the states that willingly join the Eidolon Covenant and the responsibilities of said states towards the Aleosite state as a result of the benefits offered by the Covenant.

I.Membership

Admittance and membership in the Covenant is conditioned by the following set of rules.

a) Voluntary membership is obtained through a mutual agreement between the applying nation and the Peacekeepers of Aleos.

b) Member nations do not manifest hostility towards the interests of the Peacekeepers or unless it is with the explicit accord of the Peacekeepers to those of other signatory nations of this covenant.

c) Member nations will seek not only to further their own interests but also those of the Covenant and of other member nations.

d) Disputes between Covenant nations are to be resolved by the founding nation. Should one of the nations in the Covenant choose to ignore this rule, the Peacekeepers reserve the right to deal with the situation as needed.

e) Member states will not provide military, financial or technological aid to those deemed by the Peacekeepers of Aleos as the enemies of the Covenant or to nations at war with other nations signatory of this covenant. Violations of this rule shall be dealt according to the severity of the act performed by the offending nation.

II.Founder Obligations

The Peacekeepers of Aleos commit themselves to the following.

a) Full responsibility regarding the administration of the Covenant including the enforcement of the terms of this agreement.

b) Military support for nations in the Covenant in the face of foreign aggression with the notable exception of conflicts commenced by the Covenant nations, in which case the Peacekeepers reserve the right to refrain from providing military assistance.

c) Providing economical aid to member states both following admission and during crisis that affect member nations. It is to be understood that this facility is not to be abused by member states.

III.Terms of Agreement

a) The Peacekeepers engage themselves to respect the sovereignty of member states unless they are in direct contradiction with the spirit and letter of this agreement.

b) Member nations accept to the establishment of Peacekeeper military installations upon their soil.

c) In the event that the Peacekeepers find themselves at war, the nation has the right to request, but not demand, military support from the members of the Covenant.

d) In order to encourage and foster relations between the nations of the pact, trade barriers and taxes are to be commonly agreed upon. Free trade is desirable, but not enforced between member nations.

e) Nations of the Covenant that assist the Peacekeepers of Aleos in the event of a conflict will receive a part of the ‘Spoils of War’ including rights to territory acquired in such an eventuality.

f) As an addition to the c) rule, nations that find themselves damaged as a result of aiding the peacekeepers in conflict receive the guarantee that the Peacekeeper state will assist with the reconstruction process to the limit of its available resources.

g) Member nations are encouraged to accept Peacekeeper investments in their nations.

*The above terms apply only to nations willingly joining the Covenant.

I, President David Aposon of the North Parliamentary Republic of Uiri hereby agree to the terms set out in the Statement of the Eidolon Covenant and sign the statement. I hereby declare Uiri to now be a member nation of this Covenant.

OOC: Uiri:Good suggestion, there's not much in the way of conflict right now, but that might change.

Megalithon: It's more of a commonwealth type alliance and it's open following a background check for applying nations.

The statement of the North Parliamentary Republic of Uiri is acknowledged and accepted. We therefore welcome Uiri to the Covenant.
