1. Physical Surface Geography:
The Aboveground portion for the Mines consists of approximately 5 to 7 square miles, with an airstrip, a hangar, and a large embassy in the middle, currently unclaimed (It is rumoured that the High Foreman recently gave it to the Grand Duchy of Phanar at some sort of ball). The embassy used to be the government office, but then the current HF took over, and, as he had spent all of his life underground, relocated the offices to a restricted portion of the Coal Mine.
The entrances to several mines are also visible on the surface. They are the Spice Mine (Leeched dry, currently unused. Planned as space for embassies.), the Salt Mine (unproductive as of late), the Oil Mine (having problems), the Gold Mine (upswing of productivity), and the Coal Mine (doing just as well as ever). There are small Uranium Mines at the bottom of the Salt Mine.
2. Physical Mine Geography:
The majority of the land is underground, and stretches into several other nation's claims. However, the Mines have been there for a long time, and they have yet to be assaulted for this.
The total square mileage underground *exclaves* (read: land under other countries) they own is around 450.
The total underground mileage of the Mines is around 3000 cubic miles.
These facts are debatable and highly subject to change, based off of the current amount of other countries in the Gleemaxian region, and whether or not they (the other countries) are still willing to allow mining under their countries.
3. Political Surface Geography:
The surface belongs to the gov't. The only buildings are an aircraft tower, a hangar, and an embassy. This is not likely to change.
4. Political Mine Geography:
This section is divided into six subsections:
i. Spice Mine.
ii. Salt Mine.
iii. Oil Mine.
iv. Gold Mine.
v. Coal Mine.
vi. Uranium Mines.
i. Spice Mine:
This mine has been set aside for residential living and embassies. It is the only Mine with an actual plumbing system that includes more than sinks, and refrigerator water. This mine is connected with the Salt Mine, and Coal Mine, where most of the Secondary, Tertiary, and Quaternary production lies.
ii. Salt Mine:
This mine is used for mining salt, which has not been coming out easily lately. It is the main shopping centre, and it has a movie theatre, and a shopping mall. It is connected to the Spice, Oil, and Coal Mines.
iii. Oil Mine:
This mine is used for unrealistically mining oil underground. Most pay is given by commission. It is a gambling centre. Smoking here is banned. Connected to the Salt, Gold, and Coal Mines.
iv. Gold Mine:
This mine is used for mining gold. The people are paid indefinitely, but paid more the more they find. More money is to be found digging new shafts than mining the old. It is connected to the Spice, Oil, and Coal mines.
v. Coal Mine:
This mine is used for mining coal. It is the main living centre. The citizens of this Mine are the national animal. The gov't centers its operations here. The miners are paid indefinitely, but more the more they find. The most money is in the Fire Marshal business, which includes stopping any fires that alight new discoveries of coal. Smoking here is banned. Connected to every other mine, for maintenance purposes.
vi. Uranium Mines:
These two mines are found at the bottom of the Spice Mine and the bottom of the Coal Mine. It is highly profitable to work these mines, but highly hazardous to your health. Birth defects may occur if not properly protected.
