Well, to keep this short, I am looking for some somewhat active players wanting somewhere to place their homeland. In other words, this means that no colonies will be allowed to begin with. If I find that there is a lack of interest and that all plots are not filled, I might open up to colonies. But to start with, homeland only.

You are not required to join a specific region to get a plot on the map, and neither is this a alliance of any kind. It is encouraged that you RP at least a bit with your neighbours, but you will not be throwed out if you are unactive for a while.

To claim a plot, copy the map and mark your territory with a colour of your choosing, or give me the rough location and I will do it for you.

I take the bottom half of the island on the upper right of you. Can you please use the colour grey for me? The one that the bottom half looks kinda like a E.

What's in the lower right, a big land mass (and which one?) or another island? And, where is this area located, at least approximatively? (Pacific, Atlantic, not stated?)

To answer RevTerr's question, that has yet to be determined.

I am interested in the southwestern island, the one shaped like... a sort of upside-down, pregnant, L , but I would like:

-since the level of technology was not stated, I think is normal to say upfront that I would like to keep some "near future" stuff that I have:
*jetpack is a standard equipment for enforcers-paramedics-troopers;
*I can launch and I have launched satellites;
*do you remember reading about that idea of launching a satellite in orbit to receive energy from the sun and to send it back to Earth as a laser/microwave beam, to fulfill the energy requirements? I RPed the whole process, and I cannot get rid of it.

I know that there is a lot of "I want" in this post, but I actually think that you would want to know this from the start, rather then finding later. If "near future" is not what you had in mind, I understand.

Sure. RevTerr, to be honest I didn't really have a tech level for this, this is just somewhere to place your nation. Land masses don't change much from MT to PMT. If you want to RP with your neighbours it might be a good idea to ask them first and plan things out. As long as it is done fair, I have no problems with PMT mxing with MT. As to the shape issue, consider it done(awkwardly of course, but whatever). Which colour would you like?

Now what were the odds that, after months of enlisting in some regions and seeing them... well, fade away without even a RP line, to discover in the same day two promising regions, get accepted in both and then discover they know one of another and, hence, they'll probably do business together?

They thing is that this isn't a region. Its just a homeland-locating thread. Therefore, while it is likely for Rodinia to do business with nations mapped here it is practically impossible for Rodinia to do business with nations listed here as a region because this isn't a region.

Not totally correct. There is a region, but I'm the only inhabitant and people are not forced to join it.

I would like to locate my homeland next to yours, provided there is room for a tropical nation that is isolated by nature. I cannot see the map at the moment so I cannot really request any particular spot though.
I have not been the most active so far, hopefully this will change if you want to have me as a neighbor.

A large island or high mountains and a dangerous coast forming a natural barrier would do nicely, either way I'd like space for huge rainforests and some mountains.

I pulled out of Rodinia; it's not a secret, the region was defined as Modern Timed, (and although wikipedia based, my mostly-internal-used JetPacks are, well, questionable). With your permission, I will use... Zaheria? Zaheri Sea? This place as my homeland.

I've been gone for awhile, and I think I'll stretch my legs by getting my entire nation into an actual region with other countries this time around. (I'll probably adjust some things in my factbook)

I'd like the Northeastern chunk of the Northwestern landmass on the map. Either in a Deep Purple or Gray color.

MT/PMT, I think. I'm MT, but RevTerr is PMT. I don't know about the others, but I suspect they're MT too.

I'm actually PMT, at least infrastructure-wise, though most(probably) of my offensive military technology is MT.

im thinking we come to colonize and maybe a little skirmish between natives and colonist, leading to a peace treaty dividing the colony and native nation. Not sure if it will be full blown RP, or what yet. Maybe after more people move in....

Some small scale RP with 2-3 people perhaps? Guerrilla actions, terrorism, sabotage, that sort of thing?

If you need inspiration for the background story, take a look at the Sri Lankan Civil War (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sri_Lankan_civil_war) article or the Chechnya Conflicts (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Chechen_War). Something like that maybe? Some ethnic group fighting for independence?

The top of the southeastern continent could easily be the Western face of Belkaros. Colour me purple if you accept this. I have a map of my own, but would alter it to match if it meant having some understanding of where in the world I actually was.

I'd like to put a colony in. I was thinking that if there is going to be a bunch of terrorism and the like happening in the RP I could help with it. Rp a coupla teams and my country would covertly supply, train and finance the terrorists or something to the extent.

My nation is an empty desert empire. Could I claim a couple of interior regions with the one on the coast south of the pink one? Colour white?
