Initial Statement

The Confederacy of Third Spanish States has a military force which is unrestrained by certain, typical restrictions which block the development of new ideas and concepts for firearms technologies and solidification of useful designs from ideas which forerunners were not as successful as they could be, like for example the Heckler & Koch G11 and the Techno Arms MAG-7, and thus technically, the entire research and development performed here is like a huge Skunkworks. Although there were plans years ago to launch our already nationally established technologies in the international market, only now it was decided to release this first of many original, unique in design, high quality, reliable, innovative and lightweight weapons technologies that were after almost two decades of continuous research and development inside the Military Network R&D institutes. We have decided to cover a niche of the market with our first release, that of special operations in urban warfare and close quarters combat. This shall precede the establishment of our Joint-Venture Exports, and is our first offer.

The EC-3 we are offering for sale is currently the standard shotgun of the Urban Warfare divisions of the Blackguards Special Forces, while it has also gained a popularity in the civilian market thanks to being a compact, lightweight weapon which offers an excellent cost-efficiency, combining an accessible cost with high quality standards in production, for the MilNet will never cheat any customers with a cheap but low quality product, and all firearms sold accompany both technical and tactical manuals, a loaded standard magazine and cleaning and field stripping kits. But that is not far enough for us to provide such quality, for not only we care about quality and customer service, but also about society and the environment as a whole in the entire world, for both are included in what we consider to be efficient production. Our production processes are all environmentally friendly and done by motivated cooperative members rather than by semi-slaves like in sweatshops and we actively participate in social programs. For each gun or bullet you will buy here, once our virtual storefront is finally opened, and also currently for each unit of the EC-3 or its variants, including their ammunition, not only you are buying a great product with excellent customer service, but you also are indirectly funding an school or hospital which might be anywhere across the globe, and due to the overall quality of life in our main location, these projects we support are usually of international scope.

SPECIAL OFFER!

For any purchase of the EC-3 or of its variants which sum is equal or greater than 100,000 units for military or police forces, your nation will receive, free of charge, training from our consultants regarding the best ways to operate, maintain and repair the EC-3 series shotguns for optimal close quarters battle use, advising on the best tactics, complementary weapons to accompany them for each specific urban warfare CQB situation and training your close quarters combat soldiers to operate them at best efficiency and effectiveness they offer, unless you explicitly would rather not have this free training bonus.*

*Not valid for nations with low to none political freedoms, although exceptions might be made for those with very high levels of civilian liberties. Does not accumulate, if you purchase four times 25,000 units instead of a 100,000 units order it won't be valid for example and only one-time training per customer is allowed.

Otherwise, we can offer training services at reasonable costs for interested parties to use the EC-3 and its variants to their fullest capabilities, with the exception mentioned above only. Finally, we have opened a few shooting schools for civilians as well, which also includes, besides the training specifically given for the EC-3 and for overall use of shotguns, self-defense classes. You can also discuss with us the opening of these schools in your own nation, if the EC-3 and its variants have a good level of sales there. Don't lose this unique opportunity of a service very few provide!

Overview

Developed in 2039, a time when the matrix composite barrels were becoming a stable technological staple of Third Spanish States military for small arms, the futuristic look, but reliable EC-3 is a very compact, pump-action shotgun with a pre-set hybrid trigger action which was developed inheriting concepts from both submachine and shotguns and sharing a few components with the SF-27 submachinegun, as an attempt, fortunately successful, to succeed in what the South African MAG-7, still honorably mentioned for being the forerunner of the concept, have failed, to become a portable handgun designed specifically for Close Quarters Battle which combines the maneuverability of a submachinegun with the firepower of a shotgun and uses either a compact, 50mm long self-developed 12 gauge shell or a 28 gauge shell. Another very interesting feature is also the existence of a reflex suppressor to make the noise berable to ears and a tactical, true suppressor specifically built for it to aid regarding stealth, and the fact its muzzle velocity is always subsonic, while having a still compact enough shape even when suppressed, however its 28 gauge variant obviously won't offer the same noise reduction of a 9mm submachinegun or pistol, but still be an advantage for urban special operations, the niche it was also built for.

Description

Frame and Configuration

With its external frame based on a re-design of the highly modular SF-27 submachinegun, similar in appearance to a crossbreed between it and an enlarged Steyr TMP, its initial, basic design consisted into the removal of the entire bullpup action group into a conventional, but handgrip magazine feed system, like that of weapons like the Uzi and the TMP, and its own stamped steel receiver above contrasting with the mostly polymeric build of its frame, with a logically larger grip, but still built over the same pre-set hybrid action trigger group, which have the first pull pre-set, and allows it to operate even after a jam as a double action trigger only, while re-using the same hammer and spring of the SF-27, and further having a commonality of 30% of shared components with it, including external frame elements and its internally mounted rails, while having also, as an extension, the same ease of being pulled, which stands as a significant advantage compared to the unwieldy 17 pound single stage trigger pull of the MAG-7, which made accurate shots impossible, although a trigger which is relatively easy to manipulate without disrupting accuracy is also, logically, a double-edged knife, for it increases the chances of an accidental pull in the heat of CQB.

To solve this issue, there is an easily reachable, but still far enough to avoid accidental switches, safety selector located in a much more convenient place than the left-sided selector and slide lock button of a MAG-7, and allow a combatant to actually switch the safety lock with this ambidextrous selector by the hand holding the grip without having to remove his other arm from the pump, even when wearing gloves thanks to a rugged and grooved build over the entire handling parts of the frame, which allows a better adherence of hands, while not removing the possibility of "off-hand" firing, a convenient, ergonomic convenience that is one of the main features the forerunner of this concept lacked, supposedly to offer those limitations as safety features. It also lacks a slide lock button, for also three additional reasons.

First, Third Spanish Army, despite all the glamour of the "Revolutionary Freedom Fighter" image associated with its members, already is relatively small compared to its population, having, an active military of about 0.15% of the entire population inside its ranks, which in turns lead it to naturally be a much more elitist force than many more "beefed-up" military forces in the world, with much more rigid and challenging selection processes for candidates willing to join. Second, all urban warfare divisions are naturally among the most experienced and skilled of the military, meaning thus that the "safety" feature of a slide lock would be actually more of a burden to a soldier than anything and lastly, it was always considered an useless feature due to the fact that in close quarters combat, fast reaction times are of essence, and letting such lock would be more of a waste of a few precious fractions of seconds than a safety feature, according to Third Spanish States MilNet consensual mindset. However the easily visible safety selector still makes it safe enough for civilian use in places where short-barreled shotguns are not restricted by anti-gun laws.

Barrel

Although it can be fielded which larger barrels, something which would however kill its primary purpose, it uses a relatively small 300mm barrel, made of, like most Confederacy firearms, either of the cheaper, conventional steel lining or with lightweight ceramic matrix composite lining and alumina silica-Al metal matrix composite overwrap, particularly more expensive than usual due to the homegrown, almost nano-scale industrial process which is used to produce its 508µm(.020 in) oval choke, also classified in the United States as the Modified which offers a good trade-off between the much larger spread of a Cylinder choke and smaller, but more concentrated spread of a Full choke, while offering, coupled with the short length of the barrel and wide rather than tall spread of the shot, the more than enough effective range of 32 meters for one-shot, one-kill while it can still have a significant stopping power at up to 70 meters, specially when fired against lines of enemies, while its oval choke, dubbed as the "Silent Earth choke", due to its thread being also exceptionally easy to be fitted with a suppressor, and it is not too oval in shape to the point that the buckshot would spread too quickly, while it, thanks to more modern manufacture techniques, lacks the erratic patterning of Vietnam War Era's duckbill chokes like those used in the Ithaca 37, but still sacrifices the effective range, which is technically 8 meters inferior to that of a MAG-7, without considering the use of a sabot shell instead, which slightly extends the effective range to about half a dozen of meters.

Suppressor

The overall build of the barrel end, choke thread and the firing mechanism and shells specifically adjusted for subsonic muzzle velocities are no mere coincidences, but purportedly built features to make it relatively easy for its, self-developed telescoped reflex suppressor to be accepted easily over its choke, in a way that was only demonstrated by the equipping of a SPAS-15 with a suppressor. However, that was only for the civilian convenience of avoiding shotguns which can cause permanent damage to hearing, as a truly effective suppressor for tactical use would simply be impossible on a 12 gauge shotgun, however, the EC-3ST(Tactical Suppressor), taking advantage of the modularity of the EC-3 shotgun was developed as a lower, 28 gauge variant fitted with an effective, but somewhat clumsy looking integrated suppressor. The element of surprise is very important in Close Quarters Combat to be kept for as long as possible, specially in Special Operations, one of the niches this weapon was designed for, allowing it to be an effective complement for submachineguns, except when a fireteam is going into a room with hostages to surprise attack terrorists, as, like any shotgun, the use of anything, except maybe for the still dangerous sabot shot, would bring disastrous collateral damage. But the fact it can be suppressed with a comparable level of noise only slightly inferior to that of a suppressed .45 UMP submachinegun is already a feat which makes from its variant which comes with the suppressor already integrated to its frame rather than attachable, an optimal choice to couple stealth with firepower for Special Forces across the world when additional firepower is needed without calling too much attention or sacrificing maneuverability in cramped spaces. The barrel for the 28 gauge follow similar principles in design to the 12 gauge of the non tactically suppressed variants.

Modularity

Its modularity also allows it to be field-stripped easily, while changing its barrel, including producing it for different gauges, is a quite easy process which allows lower gauge variants to be theoretically developed, the barrel change is inspired by the USS-4 Sledgehammer, which likely involves deattaching the suppressor first, logically, when it is fielded, then the modular muzzle cover, and finally the barrel from the action rod, located between the trigger group and the barrel and connected the slide below its extremity, by turning it at 90 degrees clockwise, with the inverse process used for inserting a fresh new barrel. This also is reflected by the ease of cleaning its structure, for most components are modularly built and thus removable, including its hammer, its pump, its receiver and its collapsible rugged polymer stock which shares components with the SF-27.

Ammunition

It uses a natively developed, and currently under active production to attend the predicted demand, subsonic 50mm long 12 gauge shell which is cased by a heat resistant polymer, and the cut in length is justifiable to allow them to be fitted in smoothly curved box magazines capable of carrying up to 5 shells, of either sabot, buckshot, rubber or training types, loaded inside an ergonomically adequate handgrip, while also being developed, coupled with the subsonic muzzle velocity, to offer a more controllable recoil to compensate for the relatively light weight of the EC-3, despite its stock already helping to alleviate the perceived recoil, which is inferior to that of a .50 AE desert eagle, while although not standard, a foregrip can be also attached to its slide, although it tends to delay the pump action, but on the other hand, makes it easily usable by civilians, with its relatively light weight making it of a very useful personal defense weapon. And last but not least, its low muzzle velocity coupled with the availability of rubber rounds allow it to be effectively used for crowd control, although Third Spanish States military has refused to market it for it due to some strange, perhaps ironic principles that "Less-lethal ammunition is tyranny against freedom of speech!". For the EC-3T and EC-3ST variants, a full powered polymer cased 28 gauge shell is instead used, which allows a tactically effective level of suppression at the expense of reduced firepower.

Add-ons

Regarding attachments, like the SF-27, it has a generous quantity of rails, allowing it to be fielded with, for demonstration purposes only currently, a flashlight, a laser sight and 1.4x optical sight of dubious utility and still having space for a foregrip, although it is commonly only attached to either a laser sight or flashlight according to the situation, while on very rare occasions a 1.2x scope may be slightly useful for more precise aiming against enemies 32 meters to 70 meters away when loaded with sabot shells, while finally a S-3 suppressor can be fitted into a EC-3, however it won't perform as well regarding having a more tolerable noise as a EC-3S with its integrated suppressor, while the 28 ga. EC-3T can also be fielded with a separated ST-3 tactical suppressor, but equally it won't have the same level of suppression as its EC-3ST version with its integrated suppressor. The production process for the choke on its CMC lined barrel is one of the most closely guarded secrets in the MilNet, to the point that domestic production rights for it won't be considered, but that is not a big issue, as CMC lined barrels lack cost competitiveness compared to conventional steel lined ones in the international market.

Conclusion

Therefore, the EC-3 Shotgun, its hearing safe EC-3S, the lower recoil EC-3T and its tactically suppressed EC-3ST variants are reliable, unique choices of firearms for special operations and close quarters combats when the firepower of submachineguns is not enough but a conventional shotgun would be a poor compromise of maneuverability and discretion, and both are focused at potential users ranging from elite police forces to urban warfare special units, and even civilian markets unrestrained by gun control laws where the EC-3, EC-3T and EC-3S would be sold as a personal defense shotguns.

Domestic Production Rights

Limited domestic production rights for the EC-3, EC-3S, EC-3T, EC-3ST and subsonic 12 gauge and self-developed 28 gauge shells with polymer cases are available, except for the ceramic matrix composite lined barrel, which is only available for export, and although 28 gauge shells are already commonplace across the world, you can still license their comparatively reliable polymer cased and subsonic versions developed in the Confederacy at a loss. It should be noticed that the EC-3 is a specialized firearm, which fills a role only the MAG-7 could have done, each right is independent from the other, and also, due to several ideological reasons associated with the creators, and thus rightful owners of this firearm, DPR shall not be granted for dictatorial, totalitarian, fascist and/or theocratic States or any other form of government with curbed political freedoms. (OOC: If you have any objection or criticism about this design feasibility/efficiency not fitting with what it is claimed to be able to do, post them in the NSDraftroom (http://z4.invisionfree.com/NSDraftroom/index.php?showtopic=2413). Yes, it's a "niche", specialized firearm for Close Quarters Battle, specially Urban Warfare, but not as much specialized as an underwater AR (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ASM-DT_Underwater_Assault_Rifle)

Edit 1: Fixed problems and added an effectively suppressed 28 ga. variant)

The marketing plan was on the way. The doctrine of advertisement was simple and cost-effective: no deceptive hype, no bribing of journalists to claim it is perfectly flawless and neither any intention of giving false expectations and customers spread, common use of the Internets with both serious advertisement, built over a Lightweight Small Arms and "Future Soldier" style (http://www.defensereview.com/stories/ausawintersymposium2007/AAI%20LSAT_7/DSC02550.JPG), and complemented by humorous image macros, while grassroots techniques were commonplace. While at the same time portraying it as an unique choice, original and daring as a replacement for conventional shotguns in urban operations. It was claimed as only a part of the Lightweight Small Arms program of Third Spanish, which by using polymer cased rather than steel cased shells give several logistical advantages without interfering on reliability. The MilNet was looking for potential civilian markets as much as for the military market of Special Forces, and there came in a few days honest reports on the first uses of it on the field. Its sales were getting quite heated inside the Confederacy, making from it even more successful than the ECU-95 semi-automatic shotgun, but it had yet to draw attention from the international market.

New Shotgun with "Silencer" puts criminal scum into its place

Since three months ago, the EC-3 Compact Shotgun, a homegrown technology inspired by the South African MAG-7, which was, like the EC-3, a submachinegun-sized 12 gauge shotgun with its magazines loaded inside its handgrip. Both it and its hearing safe suppressed, 28 gauge and 28 gauge "silenced" variants have succeeded in test trials and began to be fielded to the urban warfare specialists of the Blackguards and to the voluntary militias of Vigilantes, putting fear into criminal minds which now are under the constant threat of a team surprising them with a combination of shotguns and submachineguns fitted with integrated suppressors, which are more known as silencers. As part of the referendum-approved zero tolerance policy against crime, the EC-3 and its variants have already made their first "victims" coupled with the skill of its operators. The bodycount is currently of 35 murderers, 80 rapists, 25 would-be dictators and 150 slavers which will no longer threat the freedom and dignity of the people of the Confederacy or of tourists. Scoring an excellent performance in close quarters battle, its kill count is not purely from military or militias, but also from civilians using those guns without the inconveniences of pro-criminal laws like gun control.

One of these civilians is an woman named E. C., which full name shall not be mentioned by request, who has saved her three children and honest patrimony from being damaged by a gang of three scumbags which broke into her house armed with one Benelli M2 shotguns and two .380 revolvers:

"I just ran for it, it's great because it is so easy to load the magazine on it and pull the safety off, because I was just in time to avoid a tragedy. It was very tense, and I don't think I want to experience something like that again. It's not the same thing as taught in self-defense classes: they broke in the front door and came guns blazing when I just pumped the first shell into place, it wasn't heavy or difficult to pump it either too. I was scared, but something told me that something really bad would happen if I did not try to defend my children. Then they came, I had a quick spasm and leaned to the wall behind the corridor just in time to avoid being hit by their weapons... I don't remember much, it was very noisy, but when I pulled the trigger it was as easy as pressing a perfume spray, and then all I could see and hear was a much less loud pop when they all felt on the ground while the gun moved a few centimeters up I think, but I fired a .357 pistol once and it was almost the same sensation. I think I was lucky they were all lined, among them, and if I were using something else... well, I don't know much about firearms technical details, I just know how to shoot them, but I think it would be either too powerless or too bulky for me to have any chances of defending my home and my family, I think they did not have time to reload, but I pumped it again just in case... I was truly lucky, but I think this gun has helped me very much to save my own life and my family's life. I won't ever sell it, but I really don't want to have to use it again, it... they are still human beings, aren't they?[...]The only inconvenient is that I'll have to buy some new furniture besides the door because I don't want to dine in a table filled with shotgun pellets, but it is still better than dying or having everything stolen."

The capability of stopping, although not usually killing instantly, multiple targets in close quarters combat, is one of the reasons why the EC-3 is so popular for domestic defense, for houses tend to lack space for maneuvering and dodging and there are more than enough chances of catching criminals lined to die. This report basically was a close quarters battle from the point of view of a civilian who managed to succeed, even when outnumbered. Of course, it should be noted that E. C. practices Savate and participates in shooting sports weekly, or otherwise she would not have managed to dodge in time from the initial attack of the thugs, however when the element of surprise is with the civilian, even an untrained civilian have good chances of stopping invaders. The reports from military forces only differ in shape, but the essence is basically how its ease of handling and quick pump action have saved lives by avoiding the waste of fractions of seconds which are very important in close quarters battle, while the "silenced" variant has served as the standard complement to suppressed submachineguns as already mentioned.

A peculiar aspect in gun websites is the variance in reviews. In the http://geocities.com/sparksgavinfirearms site for example, the gun was condemned with a meek 2.5 rating because

"Only a dumbass would put a 12 gauge shell in an Uzi just like only a dumbass would put wheels in an Armored Fighting Vehicle! First it has a too short effective range to have any worth as a firearm to the point I would rather use a pike or bayonet than it, and it lacks a bayonet! Who makes shotguns without bayonets? Finally, this firearm which is as pathetic as the Stryker and all wheeled military vehicles, is not adequate for the operational needs of airborne troops of the M113 Gavin or of any serious Army! These gun-totting punks know nothing of warfare!". - Sparky

We have politely fixed this transcription from its original version in ALLCAPS and fixed the several typographical errors to make it easier for our readers to understand. However, some other, more serious reviewers, like for example Julio Mills Santiago, who had his share of experience in the cramped combat of cities and jungles and "leads" one of the divisions of the 17th Anti-slavery Iron Column have met this gun with reservations, while not rating it, something we consider adequate because numeric ratings rarely are good measures and the worth of something like the EC-3 is both objective and in parts, subjective.

"Like all innovative ideas, the EC-3, despite showing great promise and having demonstrated an exceptional performance in close quarters combat, should be met with cautious optimism, for its primary advantage, the reliance on newer production materials like ceramic matrix and metal matrix composites and carbon fiber reinforced polymer components coupled with conventional stamped steel and rugged polymers, might present a potential limitation for its use in nations with low infrastructure and as not fully tested technologies as those of more conventional firearm designs, despite the fact the organizations which provide it, the MilNet and allied cooperatives, have tested and developed this technology for a reasonable time frame, there is always a risk they might backfire in the future, but this small risk is something which is offset by its overall cost-efficiency for what it packs as an excellent, specialized solution for house defense, in nations where there are no restrictions on barrel length for civilian use, and for close quarters combat, specially when complemented by a submachinegun or machine pistol, and it can be fielded with a conventional steel barrel for the user who seeks a less costly and more traditional solution in materials technology, although its empirical tests, for now, have demonstrated it has a considerable increase of the sustained rate of fire with the CMC barrel and less need of barrel exchange." - Julio Mills Santiago

As of now, I had not the chance to personally fire this shotgun, but I think I might be going to buy it too soon. And no, I won't receive one for free for making this statement, or otherwise I would write "I will be going to buy" rather than "I might be going to buy" and avoid mentioning all the negative comments about this new gun. But I prefer honesty over being an harbinger of the corruption my fathers fought so hard to eradicate, and plus, in Third Spanish States, honest journalism is very valued and liars won't have audience for much time. Oh, and if you are a new reader, it should be mentioned that no newspaper practices or pretend to practice a neutrality around, considered simply impossible although their position are explicitly stated and lying to defend one's position or beliefs is very, very unwelcome.

EC-3 Compact Shotgun and variants have yet to bring significant results internationally

As a sharp contrast on the theme of success, the new shotgun developed by the Milnet in coordination with several Tucker cooperatives and sold at both Confederacy and in the new Milnet Joint-Ventures Exports, while having staggering internal sales due to offering a compact, relatively low recoil solution for civilians to defend their homes against crime which does not harm their ears and being forwarded as a standard issue pump-action shotgun despite several strong procurement alternatives it replaced, has yet to draw any large-scale buyers, having only penetrated slightly in a few, neighboring markets of nations with no or very little gun control laws which don't restrict its sales. Although it's predicted that the "national" scale sales shall suffice to cover the development costs in a reasonable time frame, it's not considered enough for the Milnet management specialists, like Ruiz Sanchez, who explained:

"There is a limit to the potential of sales inside the Confederacy, it'll reach a point when the market will just saturate from the EC-3, and all people will be interested then will be maintenance and weapons training services we are already providing specifically for our new weapon. I have forwarded an immediate proposal to include military training services for the operation and maintenance of the EC-3 and its variants free of charge for anyone who purchases 100,000 unit or more, because there is a huge potential and we can't afford to lose it. We will not give up from promoting our most unique development to the world until we finally manage to have some significant sales for special forces, civilians and elite police forces across the world. For nowadays the added values from such service added to sales are very important tools for marketing, the other way to add value to a product is reputation, but that is a long-term only situation which we cannot wait for in our current needs of expanding funds"

Questioned by our live action report Frank Roberts about ideological limitations and how lifting them off could be an option to raise international sales, he simply explained, calmly:

"There is always a limit. for example, I don't think it would be in the long-term beneficial for us, supposing we were still in the 1940s, to profit from selling advanced weaponry to the Reich, no matter how much it would boost on funds, for in the end, it would certainly backfire at us... and terribly. I think this analogy, although superficial, explains why we have certain restrictions and why I did include a clause to make exception for that promotion for authoritarian States, for we have not only an image to preserve, but our own morality, and if we felt in the seduction of quick money, we would end just like another player who profits from the misery of others. Yes, it might limit sales, but we are not greedy capitalists here, Frank. And also, we would rather to have an image associated with our products. Just like when you see an AK-47 you will probably either associate it with a terrorist, soviet commie or revolutionary, we want to associate our products with the admittedly mythical figure of the freedom fighter, regardless of economic system, and selling domestic production rights of them to autocracies or nutcrack countries, for example, would kill this association immediately from people's minds. Plus, the fact 15% of the sales are for social and ecological works might serve as another, very effective promotion to honor our position and reputation which is away from the typical arms dealer. We'll focus our campaign on libertarian and thus, socially progressive nations which have significant political freedoms needing of an effective solution in both training and hardware for close quarters combat"

It became thus obvious that their marketing campaign is now seeking to aggregate value through training services, coupled with what is known in other places as socio-environmental responsibility and with the indirect association of their merchandise with their own ideological values of freedom and democracy. We stay skeptical on the effectiveness of this new try to reach the international market by going further into another niche of their niche, but hopefully this time a democracy or very libertarian nation might become interested in purchasing the suppressed EC-3ST, low recoil EC-3T or powerful EC-3 for their special forces or policemen. Stay tuned in Internets Arms News for further updates on the international situation of this shotgun's sales tomorrow.

Greetings John Luttrell, first I would like congratulate you for making one of the best, if not the best choice of cutting-edge technology for close quarters battle, as soon your Ministry of Defense evaluation shall demonstrate beyond my honest words, and I can assure you that right at this moment the lot you have requested is already on its way to Aschenhyrst Dominion, and due to the relatively small volume of your request, for your convenience, the decision done regarding logistics was of transporting it through an airlift by a commercial Antonov An-124-102 which shall arrive in at most 9 hours, with no shipping costs, the speed of delivery being thanks to our supply chain integrated at national level and highly competent, decentralized managerial staff. Also, although not mentioned, once you and the Aschenhyrst Dominion decide to purchase the domestic production rights for the EC-3ST compact shotgun, as I'm confident you will, the Armed Forces of the Sovereign Imperial Dominion of Aschenhyrst will receive, as a courtesy, free training for all your soldiers, which tactical needs of close quarters battle require the EC-3ST, regarding the optimal tactics for this specific class of firearms it belongs too, to allow them to take advantage of as much from 100% of the capabilities of the EC-3ST as it is humanely possible based on the combat doctrine it was designed for.

With this, I hope the EC-3ST compact shotgun shall satisfy your needs as a close quarters battle firearm and that we can establish a fruitful long term relationship, as we always seek to have our customers as friends, and can provide you specifically tailored military assessment services, should you require them. Also, should you have any doubts, you can consult the agile online customer support service at http://www.milnet.tss/jvexports/smallarms/support/

"I can't believe it!", Ruiz Sanchez says as EC-3ST reaches the mark of 10 million sales

With more than 1 million sold for foreign military forces and almost nine millions sold in civilian markets, the EC-3ST model, following a somewhat slow start, has finally reached its growth stage as a successful concept of a tactical shotgun capable of accompanying ubiquitous and famed close quarters battle firearms for urban operations and Special Operations like the MP5SD and the P90SD as the only effectively suppressed shotgun of the market as of now, although like with all new ideas that end successful, it won't be longer before someone decide to copy it, and perhaps uses a more prestigious and old company name to sell it.

"I don't care at all. I am only glad to know we have been the first, and the first will always be ahead of imitators if a competent management is available in business", replied Ruiz Sanchez about the possibility of new "silenced" compact shotguns appearing in the market. "This was a niche nobody cared about before, and now we opened it. We will take measures to ensure our cooperative will outlast the competition of corporations. Our product will mature in this niche in a few years, and will become a reference just like whenever you think about a submachinegun for urban combat, the MP5 is the first to come in mind" was all he said about how to ensure the maintenance of their product in the market. Now the question of why such product has been so successful in the civilian market was to be seen.

"Think about it. If you could defend your home without disturbing the sleep of your children and risking to expose them to a serious trauma, would you not like it? This is exactly what our product provides: a silent, efficient manner of using force, when necessary, to defend your home, your deserved possessions and your family, with the plus of not bothering the sleep of your kids and of packing a low enough recoil to be comfortable and usable for all, regardless of lifestyle or muscular mass."

The Grey Bureaucracy is now offering the right for bureaucrats who have completed a combat primer course and filled out th appropriate forms, the right to bear bureau approved firearms. We feel that the EC-3 would serve us well as an optional firearm and as such we would like to order 7,000 units. This program is still in its infancy so if the EC-3 proves to be a popular choice we will expand upon our initial order later on.

EC-3S
-Steel barrel: $900 *7,000 units
$6,300,000

Will be made available to you upon confirmation.

Sincerely
Grey 31,027
Bureau of Internal management.

Greetings Grey 31,027, first I have to inform that other than your national forms, there will be no need to fill any form originated from the MilNet, and as of now, a shipment taken from the perfectly maintained stockpiles is ready for departure and will arrive in your nation in at most fifteen days. You have done a good choice, for the EC-3S is a nice choice for a bureaucrat, specially as it won't provoke any hearing impairment that an unsuppressed shotgun would, and is compact, lightweight and relatively easy to carry, occupying less space than a conventional space, where extra rubber stamps, papers and pens could instead be stored, and easily fits inside an office drawer. Also, should demand increase and it meet all the expectations of your bureaucrats, we shall offer discounts for larger orders.

You understand our needs nicely it will be a pleasure doing business with you, though naturaly as a leading member of internal affairs I hope not too many of my colleagues in other departments select these as I imagine a Grey cornered in an office and facing charges of unacceptable coruption could be a daunting prospect (you may rest assured that my department will be taking first pick of these cherries).
