I love this song, both as an Irish-American and for its subject matter. I chose it for Shenyang as an homage to my ancestry and to represent the history of The Covenant Nation of Shenyang, which was created in 1978 following a bloody anti-imperial revolution, the scars of which are finally beginning to fade.

Lastly, I have an amazing version of it from Black Hawk Down, for use as inspiration when I'm working on anything relating to Shenyang. I think it carries a strong message that echoes the values I built into Shenyang when I created several years back.

The Charr have no national anthem. The closest thing they have is some rhythmic drum beats at times of national importance, such as at elections of new clan leaders or times of war. Given that they were isolated from the international community for centuries, they never even caught on to the idea of having a national anthem, and now that they are no longer isolated they just thing of the idea as a stupid homosapien construct that they have no interest in participating in.

There is no official national anthem in Catawaba as of yet.

Many like "the Minstrel Boy" as Shenyang does. However they prefer a longer version (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdA4NlJiikM) which gives a little hope of the Minstrel Boy's freedom.

There is no official anthem because official implies State, State implies corruption, coercion and deviation from the anarchist ideal they stand for. Of course, instead there are the popular hymns which instead of being local focused, are of an internationalist level and which represent an ideology rather than a nation. Also, there are three main spoken languages despite it being called Third Spanish States.

Although, I set up a simple, original "anthem" for the English population of New Tucker called "Our Last Revolution", it is basically a slightly warmongering, initially "dark" poem in the way it opposes the typical meanings of certain phrases and has an obvious transition between the hope of a better future during the "dark ages" and an utopian final tone of a far future day when their idea shall liberated the entire world, I was inspired by the aussie Jim Jones at Botany Bay (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Jones_at_Botany_Bay) too. And it's very ideological filled, telling both communism and capitalism to GTFO, they have a certain appreciation for the artisan, small businessman who was "oppressed" by the "State-sponsored bourgeoisie" and "forced to become a proletarian", and it is typically played in a punk rock or symphonic metal style rather than traditional, or simply recited as a poem. This is obviously not the type of thing they sing during diplomatic events.

PS: "Banner of death" = Taxes, "Expropriation"(Called "Government Theft" instead) and Bureaucracy, because they believe "The Man" have helped the big ones to smash the small ones(peasants and artisans) deliberatedly . Also "bourgeois" is a pejorative term used to people who survive and enrich by exploiting others' work instead of through their own work, and can be used to refer to a robber, and also to refer to a "capitalist pig".

The Anthem of the Dominion of Dastardly Stench has no lyrics. It is not sung with the mouth, though it can be sung in 3-part harmony, and sometimes accompanied by flutes.

Hmmm, haven't really thought about it. Nazi Skgorria did have one set to the tune of "Sieg Heil Viktoria" (youtube it if you're curious) but the Empire doesn't have one.
