With the advent of the news that Leocardia had attacked Greal, the military was abuzz, trying to get the High Leader to get involved. The High Leader had been debating the issue with the High Council for many weeks now trying to figure out if they should get involved and if they did: which side?

Greal had killed Zackaroth soilders in the past, in a bitter war that did not so much hurt Zackaroth but rather its pride. And then was the incdient of a rogue group causing terrorist attacks in Greal. The parade, the destruction of the train and the city bombing stuck out like a sore thumb. If Greal ever found out it was Zackarothian people who did those things, it would an international nightmare. Plus TPF infulence was a problem. In the first war against Greal, Zackaroth and ThePeoplesFreedom had been allies. Things had changed. Being a Gholgoth affilate, TPF had become an enemy. Why help something his enemy builded?

However, Greal was a differnt state now. They had become what Zackaroth wanted them to become in the first place. Leocardia's attack was completely senseless and doomed to destabelize everything in Greal, which could cause that rogue group to reemerge and cause more problems. Needless to say more thought was needed before rushing in to help anybody...

Official Leocardian Foreign Affairs Response

Leocardia condemns the actions by Mokastanan forces for not respecting Greal's human rights, as well as Greal, who has done nothing to protect their own people's rights by evacuating and even violating the rules listed as a requirement by the Hegemony.

We will not accept this kind of behavior, especially during wartime, and urge the international community to take action on this violation.

OOC: Im not part of the hegemony and two...what violation is it? I am escorting refugees out of here and bringing tear gas IN CASE the riot attacks my forces....

OOC: Mokastana, I have lost 28.6 billion dollars in those 26 Hyperions, and that doesn't include the cost of the munitions expended by them before they where shot down. I am hoping to scare the chasing pilots shitless...

Also, I second Greal on this. While some would riot anyway, the numbers you are assuming makes no sense

The TAP'ian soldiers had feared this. As they made their way from the Port where they had been landed, they had to watch for Leocardian backed civilians. Military Police in MOWAG Eagle IV LAV's formed a perimeter as the Soldiers marched. They knew that the enemy their brothers in the Navy and Air Force were fighting on and above the seas where on the ground in Greal, and where marching off to meet them.

"It says hear that the Secret Service has set the case between Leocardian partisans or Greal terrorists. Whoever it was, they were able to stop all merchant traffic heading north and outward towards Greal and our northern colonies. For the time being, we will just have to use southern ports like Bostonia, Sunnyshore Bay, or New Songdo. But, thank you once again Lord Sumguy, and please tell the President of Leocardia before switching back to split screen that this war is useless and a waste of time and money.

And then, news from the IDA (Investigative Detective Agency), now brought to the table that Leocardian loyalists in Greal were burning ships, overseas industries, and cargo docks that belonged to the Commonwealth.

"This is terrific (abused sarcasm), not only are we losing are main economic source, but our currency is becoming useless....I mean...1 Zinger per .934 Dollars? Its outrageous! Its not a recession, but if this continues, we could quickly run out of overseas manufacturing materials that our country needs. But what to do..." Roland pondered over the moniter...."Its not war wearyness, but just being blown to smitherines over and over, even with miltary escorts guarding every last ship."

Mokan forces were flying into Greal as fast as they could unload. Two Mokan Divisions marched forward to join the front. One the Jaguar division lead by General Martinez and the other a Battle Division that was now also under command of Martinez. The Jaguar Shock Division raced to the front as every soldier in the army was mechanized, while the Battle division loaded infantry into trucks and rolled out behind Martinez's men. Back at Sasha International 3 more Mokan divisions were being unloaded. Total ground forces for Mokastana was now about 100,000 troops, no where near matching the millions of other nations but hopefully enough to ensure victory. However the Mokastana assistance would be mostly by the air force, the Bears to be exact.

The strategic bomber wings had gone home after the TAP had managed to intercept that Short range ballistic missile and it was determined to be a conventional war head. Now however they were being replaced with Bear bombers loaded with Kh-55 cruise missiles. Twelve apiece, with rotary launchers similiar to the ones on the Tu-160s, only these had conventional warheads instead of the Nuclear ones deployed earlier. Overall five of the thirty Bomber Units that Mokastana had were now southbound to Greal. Totaling 400 Bears, 4,800 missiles. 200 Su-37s escorted the planes to the launch zones...targets would be makeshift Leocardian bases, infantry training centers, tank divisions and radar/ AA sites. Soon they would be over Sumguyian airspace where they would have enough range to fire at the Leocardian forces by barely flying into Greal

OOC: Yeah, but with radar jamming, it is hard to find a target in the first place. Most ships use Radar to target, and then the missiles use IR to track a predesignated target. The Phalanx CIWS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phalanx_CIWS) is a Close-In Weapon System currently in use by the USN. It is a 20mm Vulcan Gun with a Radar Dome atop it that makes it look kinda like R2-D2. It is a terminal range defense system designed specifically for use against missiles. As for the Hyperions, you have knocked six of them from the sky already. They use a form of Self-Sealing Rubber combined with a light layer of Rhino Lining so that a leak or rupture will eventually be healed. As for the drop rate. As long as only one bag has been hit, it can remain airborne if it's fans are pointed downward. If two of them are ruptured, then in a combat zone, they activate the Full Burn option, which sends the already falling airship careening into an enemy target. As for a three bag rupture, that causes a total system failure. It is hard to knock them out of the sky due to the materials used by Phoenix Militia to make them, and my own use of Rhino Lining (Thank you Discovery Channel) to help protect them. With a Standard Air Target Missile, it's Expanding Rod Design will have trouble piercing the armor built into the semi-rigid shell in which the gas bags reside. Solid projectiles (THAAD, Artillery, .50 cal and up bullets) will have an easier time getting through. My suggestion for defeating it? the "Silver Bullet" (SABLE) and HEAT rounds.

Also, those bombers are long gone. They dropped their loads and left. Unless you want to chase them into Sumguian Airspace...

A further twenty airships where hit in the first wave as the sheer number of missiles meant that even the relatively cold airships would still be targets. Phalanx systems gushed lead like it was running out of style, tracking as the missiles approached. As those next twenty Airships went down, they activated the Full Burn option, and sent themselves careening into enemy warships.

As the damage continued and the AA Missiles kept coming, the commander called out for a retreat. Fighting their way out of the Fighter Maelstrom, the led the way back to their homeland, where a fraction of the full force of the TAP'ian Air Force was rising to meet them.

As they moved, the Lasers cooled off, and the crews of the Hyperions used their crimson beams to slice into the enemy missiles.

22 Fighter Groups (1 Group = 288 Fighters) of AIDC Ching-Kuo (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AIDC_Ching-Kuo) Interceptors where the first up. They would be the lead wave to try and repulse the nemy fighters going after their larger Airship buddies. Moving at Mach 1.5, they would pass the Hyperions in 45 minuets. (6336 Ching-Kuos)

They where followed up by 66 Fighter Groups of Tomcats, who kicked it into Super-cruise and rushed forward at Mach 2. At that speed, they would arrive within thirty minuets. (19008 F-14 Tomcats)

Behind them, 7 Groups of A-10 Thunderbolts and 14 Groups of F-15E Eagles moved out, anti-ship weaponry loaded on their wings. (2016 A-10's, 4032 Eagles)

So the remaining fighters returned on carriers and all ships were ready to use all AA equipment there was.

OOC: I was jamming for a while now. They started jamming in fact before they fired off a shot. It was after you shot at my air craft that I activated the IR Jamming. Also, I sent four Hyperions firing off every missile and bomb in their payload at your ships as they crashed into the sea. Any chance I can see the casualties from that?

The Ching-Kuo's and Tomcats returned to base, as the Thunderbolts and Eagles did likewise. If they where ready for them, then any attack would be suicidal. This wasn't the days of humanly targeted machine guns. Now, they had to deal with Phalanx Sentry Guns and Anti-Air missiles.

Instead, the subs launched from Bushnell Naval Base went into position. Far from the location of the enemy fleet, they used Lacrosse Radar Satellites to target their prey. Without surfacing, they opened up their missile and torpedo tubes and fired.

The 1,000 Virginia Class Attack Subs each launched four Tomahawk cruise missiles, while the 84 Ohio Class each fired off 24 Tomahawks. The sea almost appeared to be boiling as the missiles jumped free and leapt toward the enemy fleet like a school of deadly flying fish. (OOC: 6,016 Tomahawks armed with 1,000 lb bombs are now flying directly at your fleet)

As I remember it, you just said that you sent a payload. :p And what is this fetish of attacking only my ships, there are thousands of Leocardian ships all around mine, you can´t hit mine without hitting Leocardians. And they are really going to piss off.

"Well, it is therefore your duty to make sure that your people know that this will end only through victory, not appeasement. Should the Hegemony fail in this war, it may lead to our downfall, and I think that that would be far worse for you nation's economy than the temporary loss of one trading partner."

As for why I am only hitting your fleet, well, you have been replying to my attacks.

Also, the range for the Tomahawk is 2,500 km, whereas the range of the Mk. 48 Torpedo (The most advanced torpedo in the world) is only about 50 km. its like trying to shoot at an MLRS with a pistol when you are at the edge of it's range. Hell, you can't even detect the Subs right now, as they are using Lacrosse Radar Satellites for targeting information.

IC: The hyperions´ missiles destroyed the rest of Burlovian fleet, except for the submarines. Admiral was killed during the combat, and the subs got a call from the HQ to come home. This was not going to mean the end of war, but it was a major setback for any operations in the area. A million Burlovian professional soldiers were alerted to full readiness, but they did not across the borders just yet.

as for Zoingo, I think an attack into Greal would bring back your people's will to trade, show that you are on the offensive, rather then letting other nations push you around.

As for a side, and I claim bias here, join the Greal Governments, they are finally a democracy and you sound like you are in the same boat as me, Im only here IC'ly because they blew up my embassy and Greal is a large trading parter/tourist attraction, why I don't know, my people love to go out of the country, to anywhere is seems.

"FIRE!"yelled a Greal major, artillery opened up again. A Thunderous bombardment which shook the land. Greal tanks opened fire, flashes could bee seen for a mile. Greal Machine gun nests opened fire. Greal fighters, carefully trying to avoid the AA fire attacked the tanks and infantry. Tens of thousands of Greal troops were in the line against 120 men.......

Artillery shells blazed next to the line of offensive forces by Leocardia. 30 men were blown into pieces while the rest took shelter in the APCs. The Leocardian forces were able to use the broken hulls and armor from Division 6 as armored shields and protection as they fought against the Greali defense. Chinooks carrying more soldiers dropped in during the mist of the fighting and space imagery gave streaming video for the military analysts to analyze the fighting.

"There we go, thats their weakness." cries out an analyst.

Armored tanks fired at the machinegun bunkers and towers, using APFSDS and HE-FRAG rounds on the bunkers, as well as HEAT rounds on the Greali tanks. This division was trained for outnumbered situations, and they performed well with their multirole missions.

Assault teams, carried by the APCs, scrambled behind the broken hulls, and avoiding open targets by providing resistant fire against the Greali gunmen. The assault team used tactial torches to aim without having their full figures shown, as well as riot control grenades on the Greali defensive line. Leocardian soldiers knew that with so much armor, Greali forces have no focus on surprised ambush riot grenades with so much firepower and explosives heading their way.

An extra regiment of FAVs from behind the division provided backup support for the assault teams.

As the successful fighting grew, Leocardian Q-5s scrambled in order to provide air support to their supposedly hopeless division. 350 Q-5s instantly provided air support unloading their Mk-82s, while watching for hostile aerial support from Greal with their AIM-9s and R550s.

"Well at least you aren't pretending to have a good reason." The Hegemon said, sighing. "Or denying that you would sentence millions of men, women, and children to death merely for the sake of imperialism." He sounded slightly angry now. "And how exactly, do you intend to defeat the entire Hegemony? We outnumber and outgun your nation both militarily and economically by a wide margin. Indeed, any three of our nations could defeat Leocardia. this is not to include the Confederate Nations, UFAN, and FWA. You have no chance of success, as Sumguaian ground forces in Greal alone are equal in number to yours. You are trying to invade a nation with a hostile populous, and defeat a force several times numerically superior to your own, with a supply line stretching accross the ocean to your homeland, while your enemies' supplies must only travel a mere fraction of the distance across the borders of neighboring states. Your men have no knowledge of the land, little to no sympathy from the citizenry of Greal, no advantage in trainging quality, numbers, or technology, are surrounded by hostile forces that have access to a much more reliable source of supplies, and are within striking distance of the entire air force of three nations. What you are doing is suicide."

Lord Sumguy paused for a moment to let what he had said sink in. "In the spirit of our nations' past relationship, I offer you a way to rectify your error. Withdraw completely from Greal, and this war will end. there will be no other terms, and Leocardia will not be made to pay any reperations or give up anything else. You have dug yourself into a hole Jason, it is time to stop digging."

He looked and thought about what he said.

"You think Leocardia is not able to defeat all of the Hegemony? The Hegemony may have more in numbers, but Leocardian forces are trained for such a disadvantage." He sighed. "We can stop this useless war, but our forces will not withdraw completely. You realize, Leocardia is nearly five billion in population, and land is vital for our economic and national needs. I have controlled Greal's Western Provinces just similiar in size of Taiwan, and would like to turn it into a key port and economic state for Leocardia. This province has the lands to free up the density of my nation. And it does not inhabit much of Greali citizens. I will cease this war just for that. My men will withdraw completely just for Leocardian control over this province. It's imperialism, I know, but under our situation, it's a must."

As for your military reinforcements, we reccomend deploying them at the Greali Western Province, as our influence and Western military bases have ceased the Province under Leocardian control. Leocardian submarines joined the Burlovian submarines in their expedition to sink the remaining Mokastanan forces who have made their endless battle against Burlovian ships. Equipped with JL-1s, Yu-1, Yu-4, and a submarine-launched variant of the Khan missile. These weapons are aimed to sinking most, if not, all of the hostile ships that were sent to fight the Burlovian forces.

We ask Zackaroth if they have the authority to threaten Leocardia using the title of Gholgoth, as we have ties with them as well. We also challenge the High Leader of Zackaroth what position they are trying to defend. Greal lives under the same government as Leocardia does, and if the peoples of Zackaroth considered Leocardia to be a corrupt military dicatorship with communist ideology, then we are here to reject this claim. Leocardia is high in democracy as well as unrigged elections monitored by several nations in a 10-year period. We also like to challenge Zackaroth's support for Greal, as they are violating human rights by arresting and executing public protests against Greal's government action during the war.

As the Leocardian forces moved against the Mokastana fleet, the Subs opened up with another volley. again, almost 7,000 Tomahawk cruise missiles leapt from the sea and made their way towards their intended targets. They might not be able to prevent incoming missiles from striking the Mokastanans, but they where going to punish the Leocardians for it.

The TAP'ians heard the message go through, and laughed. Switching to the Ur Tongue, Stamford called up the Mokastanan Admiral, "Sorry about that Admiral, Leocardia seems to think they can just put out anything they want. Our subs are going to be shadowing your force, their IFF Transponders are going to be hand delivered to your forces in a few moments so you can track them."

Off to the side of the Mokastana Ships, a Virginia Class Sub, the USS Cotton Hills, surfaced. As it made it's way along the route, the captain tossed an RQ-11 Raven into the air. It flew toward the Mokastana command ship for the refugee fleet carrying instructions on how to gain temporary access to the TAP'ian SatCom Grid and how to find the Temporary IFF Transponders on the TAP'ian Submarines escorting the Mokastanans.

Mary's eyes hovered over the holographic control table; She was focused on an area known as "Troop Concentration Charlie", but known to the enemy as "Division 7" She had recieved reliable information that the Leocardians had two high level Sumguian diplomats in one of the complexes, so it would be a negative on a precision strike. She'd need to get something...or someone in there. She thought for a moment before remembering the Ghosts that had been dropped into Greal a day earlier; She grinned happily "Tell Ghost Team 14
to mark the building the Sumguians are in so that we don't bomb it. NOW!"

One mile from Division 7

Lasere frowned as she recieved the message on her HUD, and tunred to the other ghosts with her "Okay girls, we've got to mark the buildings so our flyboys in the navy don't kill two diplomats of high stature. Off we go"
She un-shouldered her rifle and ordered her troops to follow her. A large contingent of the 501st had control of several blocks of Sasha (Aquired after the civil war), and there were based several hundred Special Forces and thousands of Marines. Their objective was to distract the Leocardians so that the Ghosts wouldn't be caught.

The hoard of marines began their advance upon the Leocardians, armed with HK416 and M96 rifles; and supported by tanks and helicopters charged into the Leocardians behind a hail of artillery and MRLS fire.

The Ghosts moved extremely close to the facility, trying to locate hostile infantry squads and instead focusing on single troopers silently or seductively (They're trained for Seduction-assasination missions as well as all out war FYI), making sure to approach the complex without a sound. As they got to the outskirts, the squad rappeled up a building and used it as an opservation point with a Sniper rifle and a LTD. Here they searched for their objective...

Military bases along the Bay of Nations were crowded. That was because thousands and thousands of Northern Baltic infantry were now boarding ramps to go onto dozens of transport ships. A modest escort fleet was waiting in the bay once the troops were done loading. A grand total of two army groups: 400,000 men were now boarding the various ships. A message had already been sent to Leocardia, notifying them to have a port (or ports) ready. With the troops traveled armor in the form of Black Eagle MBTs, mobile artillery in the form of 2S19s, A various number of different SAMs, rocket artillery, warplanes, helicopters, and everything else a complete army would need. In a few days, they would arrive in Greal.

Leocardia's satellites aimed at TAP's capitol city and fired 36 godrods onto it.

Artillery shells blazed next to the line of offensive forces by Leocardia. 30 men were blown into pieces while the rest took shelter in the APCs. The Leocardian forces were able to use the broken hulls and armor from Division 6 as armored shields and protection as they fought against the Greali defense. Chinooks carrying more soldiers dropped in during the mist of the fighting and space imagery gave streaming video for the military analysts to analyze the fighting.

"There we go, thats their weakness." cries out an analyst.

Armored tanks fired at the machinegun bunkers and towers, using APFSDS and HE-FRAG rounds on the bunkers, as well as HEAT rounds on the Greali tanks. This division was trained for outnumbered situations, and they performed well with their multirole missions.

Assault teams, carried by the APCs, scrambled behind the broken hulls, and avoiding open targets by providing resistant fire against the Greali gunmen. The assault team used tactial torches to aim without having their full figures shown, as well as riot control grenades on the Greali defensive line. Leocardian soldiers knew that with so much armor, Greali forces have no focus on surprised ambush riot grenades with so much firepower and explosives heading their way.

An extra regiment of FAVs from behind the division provided backup support for the assault teams.

As the successful fighting grew, Leocardian Q-5s scrambled in order to provide air support to their supposedly hopeless division. 350 Q-5s instantly provided air support unloading their Mk-82s, while watching for hostile aerial support from Greal with their AIM-9s and R550s.

The problem was, only a dozen Greal tanks were knocked out, the Nakils had tough armor that would take care of anything. Greal troops responded with another bombardment of artillery and cruise missiles flying from Greal bases in the area. Greal fighters engaged the enemy, with the help of Lyran SAM units below.

As the rods approached, the HELLADS system placed in and around New Tortuga fired. They pierced the sky with their laser systems, vaporising half the incoming rods. The other half where blasted apart by THAAD Kinetic Interception missiles. Meanwhile, in orbit, the Avalanche system turned on the Leocardian God Rod Satellites, and used their Brilliant Pebbles systems to nudge the Leocardian God Rods out of orbit and into a burn up path through the atmosphere.

The Mokan Army was now in full combat mode and still racing out to meet the enemy, 150,000 soldiers were in country. They were securing Sasha and allowing the Greal forces to rest as they appeared to need it.

The Mokan Fleet was prepared to continue the barrage of war, the reinforcements were on the way. It would only be a matter of time before the three Flotillas arrived. If only there was a way to avoid further war...

CH-54 Tarhe's passed around the unit, and dropped the vehicles used by the Airborne Forces at the Rendevous Site.

The Mokan defensive line was forming up behind the Greal army and preparing to hold the line as Greal tried to retreat, when they did. It was time for the Mokan Forces to see combat. As the artillery barraged began the Mokans took cover and hid from the incoming rounds. Of course now it was the Mokans turn, the 205mm Self Propelled artillery was armed and ready with high explosive rounds, and returned fire with 300 artillery pieces, the rest would be ready soon.

Leocardian forces were rushed by the many tanks coming their way. The rocket-assault teams blazed the streets with multiple rocket-shot fire against the defensive tanks. Enemy helicopters were taken down by the tanks' cannons as they were able to attack low-flying helicopters from their designs. FAV-rockets also provided support fire, as well as the Q-5s that just came on time, unloading their payloads on the enemy defensive line. It was sure a hellhouse and it was bound that both sides will lose a great deal of casualties.

The base went in complete lockdown. Having the diplomats and Batista's building on maximum security. As the lockdown occured, Leocardian soldiers became increasingly active in their armored bunkers, and Batista was forced to draw out his pistol from his drawer.

The Leocardian soldiers took advantage of the fallen wounded by making sure the intruders ran as fast as they could. The guards shot at the fallen ghost, making sure he was still alive, and kept shooting his legs. They wanted to keep him hostage.

The AM-4s continued their attack runs, dropping down to a very low altitude, harrassing vehicles and shredding infantry with their GAU-8 30mm cannon. Unfortunanly, some of the pilots in VF-234 were...less experienced than some of the other pilots. The guards were shot, and six were fatally wounded. They were quickly supported by bunker resistance, as their bodies were dragged back to base.

More Leocardian soldiers surrounded the plane, providing extra support. And fired openly at the enemy's cockpits as he shoots with his rifle at Leocardian guards. The ghosts were to keep safe, but captured under the Leocardian flag. A hummer drove by with a public loudspeaker. "You have the right to remain silent. We will not harm you in any way. Put down your weapons and we will release you after paperwork is finished." An estimated 300 soldiers surrounded the scene.

As the ABL Gunners fired at the incoming artillery rounds, the other gunners in the Hyperions fired on the enemy formations with Artillery and missiles of their own. AIM-9 and AIM-92 Anti-Aircraft missiles fired on the enemy aircraft.

The Hinds rose and fell as they moved, avoiding taking tank fire. Seven of them went down, their pilots pulling the Eject Levers and launching themselves up through the space where the rotors had been before the Eject System had been activated.

Several Tanks where blasted to pieces, though the Anti-Tank troopers foolish enough to stay in place where themselves blasted into oblivion by the fellow tankers.

When we are talking about orbiting objects, you can barely never say that something is slow. If you drop a god rod, it still has a huge kinetic energy because it has flown fast with the satellite. When it has lost that energy, it has gained a very fast speed by dropping. This makes god rods practically impossible to intercept. Study physics and you´ll get it.

Mokan forces are currently working refugees out via ports and waiting for hostile fleets to attack. While Inland we have about 300,000 troops in Greal holding positions and giving Greal troops some RnR that they need, and waiting orders.

Greal
As the Northern Baltic fleet neared their target, a medium sized port city, The missile boats, floating a ways away from the rest of the fleet launched a total of three dozen Frog-7 missiles. These were specialized Frog-7 missiles, however. Fitted with EMP's, the missiles would, according to the plan, disrupt all communications systems in that area of the coast. Another three dozen Frog-7 missiles armed with EMPs were launched in a variety of directions along the coast to assure enemy confusion. Anti-aircraft batteries and missiles were prepared as the troops were launched to attack seven separate beaches. As the landing craft approached the shore, Northern Baltic ships targeted the shore with their heavy 12 inch guns and the missile boats opened fire with all of their remaining missiles, all high explosive. Once the troops landed, the bombardment stopped and the Northern Baltic troops charged forward.

The Northern Baltic troops unloaded at their designated port city. Along with them arrived over a hundred intellectuals whose jobs it was to improve the lives of the Greali people. The troops immediately marched outside of the city and began constructing their barracks on land that was paid for, full price. Construction crews began building immediately as the land was purchased. They bought over a dozen large plots of land outside of the city to build on, since they were housing a large number of troops.

Almost immediately, the intellectuals got to work. Renting space from an apartment building, they began working. Some traveled in the city, constructing a list of improvements that needed to be made. Others worked on estimations for the cost of it all: something that was going to be paid for by The Northern Baltic government.

Elections were planned in a month, giving candidates time to prepare. A new government was being established. One that would not be associated with Greal's dictatorship past. Complete and total freedom of speech was given to everyone. In a few days, space rented would be used for free education, open to all, preparing all the Greali citizens for jobs in the service sector of the economy. The service sector jobs were being created with Northern Baltic supplements to new Greali businesses. Construction also became a booming business and much emphasis was placed on reducing pollution in the city. New, cleaner power plants were being constructed, as well as a large number of solar power plants and windmills outside of the city. The city would hopefully serve as a model to a future, new, democratic Greal. The new government was given a new name: The Republic of Greal.

The President of The American Privateer picked up a phone and called a Press Conference directed at the leadership of The Northern Baltic, and she was highly annoyed.

"Mr. President, We sent those rods as a warning of what we are capable of doing. The moment you declared war on the enemies of Leocardia, you declared war on us. They where meant to be a deterrent. If you insist on shooting down all of our space assets, you will bring Hydrazine down across multiple continents, including your own. You will bring seven ribbons of carbon many tens of thousands of kilometers in length down from orbit across the entire planet, and you will doom hundreds of thousands of people to death in the cold of Interplanetary space both in Climbers and on our Extra-Terrestrial Colonies. On top of that, there will be the millions of men lost to combat and disease. If you insist on pursuing war on us, than we will rain all that we possess down upon your heads. Think it over, and please, make the decision that will best benefit your people."

As the Anti-Satellite Weaponry was prepared, The Pillar was put on high alert. Traffic up the Space Elevators was reversed or stopped, with hopes of saving as many people as possible. Clippers loaded themselves full of personnel, and Cargo Ships ran Life Support Units and Food Stocks out to the Lunar Colonies. Brilliant Pebbles systems were prepped for interdictions, and all the satellites had their Hydrazine reserves beefed up. Destroyers had part of their Tomahawk Cruise Missile payloads replaced with THAAD Missiles and where sent to the edge of the nation's coastal defenses. In the air, F-22 Raptors and F/A-18 Fighters went into CAP Patrols as Destroyer Squadrons supplemented normal Coast Guard operations. J-STARS and Hyperions joined the CAP patrols for Early Warning systems. Attack Helos and Bombers where placed on High Alert, ready to launch at a moment's notice.

In Greal, the TAP'ian Army was withdrawn to the Embassy there, and the THAAD Missile launchers where placed on High Alert as the Hyperions had their coolant systems beefed up with increased levels of Liquid Nitrogen, improved coolant systems for water in the cooling pipes, and improved vents. They had their Payloads revamped, and their weapons refitted.

The Ships in Greal's port where ordered to return to John Paul Jones Naval base under cover of all Virginia Class Attack Subs and Ohio Class Boomers. If The North Baltic was going to declare war on The American Privateer, then the President was going to fight a defensive war. All along the Western coast, heavy artillery pieces and Cruise Missile batteries joined Anti-Aircraft Batteries and SAM Batteries, while on the Eastern and Northern Coasts, AA Guns and SAM Batteries where put in place in the highly mountainous terrain.

Soldiers and all equipment were packed to 2000 large transport vessels, and they were escorted by 1000 destroyers, 20 aircraft carriers, 500 missile submarines and 200 missile cruisers. This was almost half of Burlovia´s fleet, generals didn´t want a million men to sink down to the bottom of the sea. The fleet closed in the Great World Fleet. If and when they get by there, they would get to the shore and start to unload soldiers.

also, the negotiationa are still going on if im not mistake, and Leo, you really cant take control of another nation's sattelites unless they IC'ly RP the cvontrol ahving been transfered.

I also dont think Greal needds to RP his military that is already stationed around Greal. He deployed something like 14 million men during the Red Skull and TPF wars, and i doubt those would have just dissapeared, especially considering that casualties were relatively low in both wars.

OOC: Greal holds pretty much everything except for an area near of Sasha where the Leocardian troops are camped, if i have read correctly. The best place to send your forces to fight Leocardia would probably be Sasha, where my troops and a large contigent of Grealian troops are stationed. As for your fleet, i would suggest heading to Womer or joining the Zoingo, Greal, Cazelia, or TAP fleets.

At Sea
The first of the two rods made an enormous splash directly behind one of the two Kirov classes. The second one made a direct hit on the second Kirov class, splitting it in two. Dead bodies were literally sprayed everywhere and rescue ships were dispatched to rescue any survivors. Many lives were lost however.

Anti-Satellite missiles were loaded to completely disrupt the The American Privateers satellite and rod network. Hundreds of missiles prepared to be fired simultaneously. They planned to completely destroy The American Privateers ability to track anything.

Bay of Nations, The Northern Baltic
An extra two armies were being mobilized and their escort fleet was being prepared. Due to the efficacy of transportation in the Northern Baltic, the troops, stationed all over the country, should be ready relatively quickly.

Greal
As the Northern Baltic fleet neared their target, a medium sized port city, The missile boats, floating a ways away from the rest of the fleet launched a total of three dozen Frog-7 missiles. These were specialized Frog-7 missiles, however. Fitted with EMP's, the missiles would, according to the plan, disrupt all communications systems in that area of the coast. Another three dozen Frog-7 missiles armed with EMPs were launched in a variety of directions along the coast to assure enemy confusion. Anti-aircraft batteries and missiles were prepared as the troops were launched to attack seven separate beaches. As the landing craft approached the shore, Northern Baltic ships targeted the shore with their heavy 12 inch guns and the missile boats opened fire with all of their remaining missiles, all high explosive. Once the troops landed, the bombardment stopped and the Northern Baltic troops charged forward.

At this point the entire Leafanistani press section started shouting questions over each other, voice recorders, microphones and cameras were all held aloft, and dozens of camera flashes went off. Finally one voice in the back of the delegation shouted, "REMEMBER THE AKNA!" The entire press delegation was in chaos.

The reporters from Mokastana News Network(MNN) stood up and retorted to the Burlovians:

I also dont think Greal needds to RP his military that is already stationed around Greal. He deployed something like 14 million men during the Red Skull and TPF wars, and i doubt those would have just dissapeared, especially considering that casualties were relatively low in both wars.

Greal coasts

The coasts were strengthen with 2 million troops to defend the coast, along with the help of 2 million Militia who had seen service in a few previous wars. Greal fighters patrolled the coast constantly, watching out for enemy landings.

Constant aerial attacks on the recent Greali movements have been made while the enemy prepares to defend their coast by the Leocardian bases located in the outskirts of the Greali Western Province. Constant pounding attacks the coastlines, as well as the Loyalist group being involved.

An estimated of 4,500 Loyalists were gathered and launched the largest rebel offensive Greal would have seen next to the Red Skulls Rebellion. The Loyalists group attacked with HE grenades as well as fired with M4A1 rifles, as they were fully equipped with the next big thing in body armor technology. They were also aided by RPG-9s given by nearby Leocardian bases and the war-torn group was trained with efficient aiming. Fighting at night increased as Leocardian forces gave the Loyalists groups night-vision goggles and more roadside bombs for them to blow the streets with. Sophisticated communication devices were given for better knowledge of the battlefield. The Loyalists were trained with the best guerrilla tactics used in the beginning of the Iraq War, making sure they killed more of the enemy than themselves. Snipers hid in almost every midst of a building, and attacks always end with a rocket-based. The order went like this: A roadside bomb detonates, soldiers blaze at any enemy in sight, snipers and RPGs in buildings support fire, and another bomb detonates to end the fight. The Loyalists were trained to become a Legionnaire.

Official Leocardian Response

The Leocardian Government mocks the TAP President its lack of knowledge before proceeding to attack a foreign nation without the knowledge of its foreign status. "People should know everything about someone else before thinking to physically assault them, because you don't know what kind of person this person might be." In the end, the peoples of Leocardia are laughing at the TAP'ian President's funny excuses.

Leocardian aerial bombers begin their bombardment campaigns on the shorelines of the Western Province, where Greali forces are building up. Hundreds of JH-7 multirole bombers and Q-5 ground-attack fighters from military bases within the region assembled in giving maximum payloads to the Greali soldiers. The Loyalists should be enough distractions as they make their way, filling all the roads with roadside bombs, and blowing the Greali forces to a urban warfare scene.

The Burlovian invasion force was ready to invade Western Province. They closed in while destroyers bombed any enemy positions around.

"Sir, we are detecting Leocardian bombers! They are bombing the coastal areas", said one of the soldiers.

"Good, it is time for our invasion", replied Admiral.

Soon the first transport ships got on shore, and in a couple of minutes there were 10.000 soldiers on beach. As more soldiers and tanks got on shore, they started to take defensive positions in case there were Grealian survivors after the devastating bombing of the coastal lines.

The Burlovian invasion force was ready to invade Western Province. They closed in while destroyers bombed any enemy positions around.

Please, unless you have miles upon miles of uninhibited coastline and all your landing craft are moving in a single solid line to hit the perfectly straight beach all at once it is going to take longer than that. Especially to unload their equipment and prepare a defensive line, and to make a battle formation.

OOC: Deployed the fleet a while back but haven't RPed 'em for a while so now would be a good time. LS did you TG the rest about my thoughts yet? As for Burlovia, don't think I was going let you just get past my fleet which is not to far from the Western Province.

Most of the 2 million troops were being dropped off at Wormer where they would continue on to reinforce Sasha for the oncoming battles, soon to take place. The orders were given and the massive fleet split leaving 300 Irondeck class battleships, 200 Seastabber class battleships, 100 Hermin class cruisers, and 100 of the Oscar class subs with the Allied Fleet of forces from Cazelia, TAP, Greal, and Zoingo. The rest, 200 Seastabbers, 50 Hermins, and 300 Oscar class subs, went on to go and make defensive moves to cut off Burlovian Aid to the Leocardian troops.

The Hermin cruisers made a V shape with the tip pointing at the enemies. The Seastabbers took their positions in rows of 5 to the right of the Hermins, they were closest to the land. The oscars split into even smaller groups, 100 leaft to stay and help the surface ships and the other 200 left to go attack the Burlovians from behind.

The current plan was have the Seastabbers go in front of the Burlovian ships, the Hermins wedge into their side lines and the Oscars come from behind and push them up into range for the Seastabbers to massacre them.

The men were at battlestations, ready to blast the threat out of the water. Then they fired. A total amount of 20,000 Sea Sparrow Missiles, 100 from each ship, flew up into the air and then down upon the Burlovian FLeet. The missiles left black streaks of smoke in the air where the traveled and made giant flames or ripplies in the water where they hit.

The fired as they continued to move foward, attempting to cut them off. Then the cruisers started wedge into the enemy fleet. They shot a combined of 700 CIWSs and then men onboard started taking up positions on the MArk 50 Surface Torpedos. As the torpedos leaf the cannon they were guided by the many systems established into the ships until they came near the targets.

The Oscars were still a bit away and were creeping ever slowly towards the behind of the large Burlovian fleet. They sent out a RADAR Jammer to stop detection by teh Burlovian fleet, unfortunately it affected the other Grestonian ships, but any enemy was in eye sight.

The Great World Fleet sighted enemy ships heading toward the Burlovian fleet, possibly trying to interfere supply routes for Leocardian Allied forces, developed quick simulations of the battle. The command ship held an emergency, quick meeting inside the chambers of the massive hulled ship. Sketches were made as the Great World Fleet will begin to battle. A request to make the battle a full Moskit defensive was agreed upon the commanders and it was final.

Greal
The Northern Baltic troops, now realizing that they were at war with another country and would be needed elsewhere, withdrew in good order back to the landing craft. The landing craft, escorted by the rest of the fleet, withdrew to The Northern Baltic and an end to hostilities with Greal were hoped for. A Northern Baltic delegation was sent to Greal in order to negotiate a peace settlement.

On Board the GNS Prudence

Admiral Thomas Vericlan stood in the operations room, aids and men scrambling about him to their stations and positions. They were at the head of the attacking fleet. So far the Burlovians hadn't counterattacked and the Leocardians hadn't attacked yet (OOC: this is before the Moskits are fired).

A small aid, at the age of maybe 23, scrambled up to Thomas. He was standing in front of a system that showed him what missiles had impacted and where. The aid tapped his should and Thomas swung around.

"What is it boy?"

"Well sir the Baltic Troops have withdrawn from battle and are ceasing agressions towards Greal and the Hegemony."

"Really? Where did you learn this?"

"They tapped out the message to Greal and they dispersed it to the allies. This leaves us with only the Burlovian and Leocardian soldiers to fight."

"Good, those damned fools finally did something right for a change. Report the message to the bridge. The shipsmen will be relieved to hear this news."

Missile Silo 42

Steam rose and from Missile tube 4 as the HE-tipped LGM-30 Minuteman ICBM was raised from it's dormancy to serve it's country. Hundreds more like it across the world were being prepared to strike Leocardian cities and based across the globe. Soon, Leocardia would stop worshipping god, and start worshipping the LGM-30 Missile. The missile rumbled, flames flying from it's engines, smoke flooding into the contaiment chambers....

A total of 900 missiles were launched that night, and roughly 200 B-52s had taken off armed with Cruise Missiles, cluster bombs and White Phosphorus filled bombs (Intended only for military targets).

The Moskit missiles came at a mach 3 towards the ships. The only reason they had a chance was because they were visible and they saw them load them and prepare to fire. Normally they would have a 25-35 second time period to counter but this time they had about 40 or 50 seconds. It was quick thinking that saved them. What better way to deflect Moskits than with Moskits? 100 Moskits were shot off from a small cluster of ships splitting to go to their groups. They were the initial targets and their volley of Moskits, about 150 or so fired, gave a shroud like coverage from the enemy incoming missiles. The Moskits collided and the explosions had effect upon the boats. Six ships went down and four more were sinking.

100 Moskit Missiles were fired in reply. They were accompanied by another volley of Sea Sparrows, 20,000 in all, aimed towards the Burlovians but the Leocardians mainly.

The Oscars started moving inbound as the Seastabbers took their place. The Seastabbers established the position they wanted and the Oscars and Hermins were closing in. The Oscars crept up and then the launched their underwater arsenal. Each had 24 SS-N-19/P-700 Granit Torpedo Launchers and they each let out 15, firing a total of 4,500 missiles at the fleet. They reloaded and in seconds they had another 4,000 fired. They continued on, only in a less organized fashion, and fired over 40,000 in less than 15 minutes. Little resistence was made so theyw ere able to move up.

THEL Defensive 1-9, Leocardia
900 missiles were picked up immediately as the ICBMs fired off toward Leocardia grew closer at the moment. LMR2050s were also in active DEFCON 1, leading to a emergency siren to all cities within Leocardia. Leocardian soldiers immediately took to their arms, grabbing their grip for anything to happen. All civilians of Leocardia were ordered to stay in their bomb shelters until further notice. The hostile ICBMs were simulated to know whether which will hit which. There was no time to sit and talk, immediate action was needed.

THAAD Defensive 5-90, Leocardia
Emergency sirens roared as troops and computer engineers manned their stations incase of a ICBM attack by Cazelia. All were ready, and civilians nearby were urged to report to the nearest bomb shelters.

Space-Based Defensives
Space-based defensives were on high alert when detected several missile movements by Cazelia. The ICBMs launched at Leocardia are monitored and ready for orders.

KiK City, Leocardia
200 MTHEL defenses were immediately raised as the nation's capital was under immediate threat. The Presidential Palace and other key buildings were in complete lockdown and civilians were ordered to hide under bomb shelters.

Cazelian ICBMs
The 900 Cazelian ICBMs fired away were monitored by space-based defenses, and had given time for Leocardian ground-based defenses to organize and relocate their missile defensive structures into the midst of the possible missile strike. As the ICBMs grew nearer and nearer, several Leocardian missile defenses were activated and participated in the run against the ICBMs. Space-based defenses also participated in the possible missile strike. Soldiers patrolled the streets with MTHEL defenses and interceptors flew all over the air in hopes to intercept the ICBMs.

The missiles came their way and the Leocardian defenses fired away at the missiles. Clouds of destroyed ICBMs in the air arose and no casualties were reported. The results ended like new hopes were for Leocardia.

Just three hostile ICBMs reached their objective in destroying Leocardian buildings. One of them completely destroyed a massive power plant in Leocardia's most populous city, Jaguar, a population of 65 million, blackening out simultaneously the entire city. The second landed in the urban midst of Jaguar, killing more than 3 million people. The third hit a very significant ammo depot. The impact of the armor depot was so significant, a very large mushroom crowd arise and the ground shook into a 2.9 magnitude.

A mushroom cloud so big, it seemed from a nuclear detonation. Soldiers saw the incredibly large mushroom cloud and immediately radioed in for help.

Triumvirate Council Palace 0135 Local Time

The cold Concordian air made Spring a quiet time high up in the mountains. Snipers hidden in the trees and on the roofs shivered and put on their gas masks, for the warmth rather than the utility.

But the quiet was about to break, because at this moment, a fleet of helicopters reached the palace. As the first Chinook hit the ground, Glorious Republican Guard units scrambled every major fighter base in the area. Triumvirate Council Member Fleet Admiral Sandra O'Toole was sleeping in her bed. Her private security forces kicked down her door and she was up in an instant.

"What's going on!"

"We'll tell you on the chopper to Mount Star Council Defense."

"Mount Star is for serious emergencies what has happened."

"There's been a situation Madam, Cazelia has begun an all-out nuclear strike on Leocardian Forces. We've detected massive bomber wings, and over 500 nuclear missile launches with more coming in."

"Has the Senate been alerted?"

"Yes, we are trying to find every member and move them to their bunkers."

"How long? Another 50 minutes and every major military figure will be in the bunkers and you'll be on your elevator down. Good bye madam!"

The helicopter touched down and a soldier came rappelling down ahead of it with a flight jacket and a warm jacket.

"Madam! We have to go now!"

The helicopter took off, meanwhile, dozens of helicopters, jets and cars were sent out for major government officials. Late night news channels continued with a Government ordered media blackout.

Meanwhile aboard Air Force One, Sky Marshall Arcturus ordered all units capable of intercepting to intercept.

In SPAAAAAAAAAAAACE, Military Space Station 8

"The orders have been given, we are going to shoot down as many as we can. We're at a bad inclination, but we have at least 3 interceptor satellites on the move and we've launched our entire MiG-107 squadron."

The command crew of MSS-8 strapped into their seats watched nervously as the missiles crossed the absurdly large globe. All eyes were on the Encrypted Text Channel.

"START COMMENCE FIRE ON ALL MISSILES SPARE NOTHING STOP"

The commander picked up the voice channel. "All forces commence fire!"

3 interceptor satellites, began firing their lasers at the targets, trying to damage the heat shields on the missiles so they would burn up on reentry. Hard kill interceptors from the satellites to knock the MIRVs off course. Electronic jamming began in earnest but was weak due to range concerns.

34 MiG-107s opened fire with a salvo of Asp SpSpMs and Spiral Guided Rockets to try to knock as many as they could off course and to kill as many as possible. The prospects were dim, but possible. It was now up to Leocardia.

In all her years as an officer in the Leafanistani Navy, and on the Executive Council she has never made a decision as hard as this. The room was dead silent except for the sound of air conditoiners necessary at this depth. Two television screens, one from Air Force One, and another from Baghdad Executive Bunker as Field Marshall Samantha Arcturus was away and unable to move to the executive bunker.

"I, under the authority given to me, under the Articles of the Glorious Republican Union, give my approval, to a tactical nuclear strike on Cazelian military bases."

There was no argument.

At sea

22 Borei-class submarines set to 'War' only 50 minutes earlier were now ordered to fire on recently transmitted data packets on Cazelian targets. Codes were checked and double checked, and the missiles launched.

352 Bulava Quasiballistic missiles took off onto targets in Cazelia, each one only carrying a 45 kiloton tactical warhead. Each missile has 6 individual warheads, capable of individual attack vectors and 4 decoys designed to have massive electronic signatures.

Official Leocardian Response
The Dynastic Republic will reject the false information given by the Cazelian Government. Reports from actual soldiers say that there was a nuclear strike and an earthquake was detected after the impact. There are several reports from actual Leocardian soldiers in the scene during the time to have been attacked by the radioactivity and therefore now under serious, severe medical treatment. Three million innocent Leocardians have been instantly killed and a major blackout within Leocardia have arise. This is no excuse that the Cazelian Government has provided us with the information. This is a real nuclear attack.

According to our Satillites, we hit an Ammo Dump, which we believe had nuclear weapons on board. All weapons fired were Conventional Explosives, not nuclear warheads. We have disbanded 1/2 of our nuclear aresenal, and we do not fire nuclear weapons against civilian targets. I urge you to help avoid nuclear war and continue with the task at hand.

Let's be sensible here, people. We will fire back if hit with nuclear arms, and our vengancwe will be quite harsh.

Constant aerial attacks on the recent Greali movements have been made while the enemy prepares to defend their coast by the Leocardian bases located in the outskirts of the Greali Western Province. Constant pounding attacks the coastlines, as well as the Loyalist group being involved.

An estimated of 4,500 Loyalists were gathered and launched the largest rebel offensive Greal would have seen next to the Red Skulls Rebellion. The Loyalists group attacked with HE grenades as well as fired with M4A1 rifles, as they were fully equipped with the next big thing in body armor technology. They were also aided by RPG-9s given by nearby Leocardian bases and the war-torn group was trained with efficient aiming. Fighting at night increased as Leocardian forces gave the Loyalists groups night-vision goggles and more roadside bombs for them to blow the streets with. Sophisticated communication devices were given for better knowledge of the battlefield. The Loyalists were trained with the best guerrilla tactics used in the beginning of the Iraq War, making sure they killed more of the enemy than themselves. Snipers hid in almost every midst of a building, and attacks always end with a rocket-based. The order went like this: A roadside bomb detonates, soldiers blaze at any enemy in sight, snipers and RPGs in buildings support fire, and another bomb detonates to end the fight. The Loyalists were trained to become a Legionnaire.

OOC: the largest attack in the Red Skull war was 4 million :D And you are doing the attacking, and my forces are waiting for you, they are in every building.

Leocardian aerial bombers begin their bombardment campaigns on the shorelines of the Western Province, where Greali forces are building up. Hundreds of JH-7 multirole bombers and Q-5 ground-attack fighters from military bases within the region assembled in giving maximum payloads to the Greali soldiers. The Loyalists should be enough distractions as they make their way, filling all the roads with roadside bombs, and blowing the Greali forces to a urban warfare scene.

However, the leocardian air force forgot one thing that Greal always had with them: Air power.

A Thousand F-44s attacked the bombers along with 400 Euro fighters. SAm units below opened up, the massive air force of Greal and the massive air defensives of Greal were going to make the lecoardians pay.

The "Nuclear" attacks alarmed the Greal leadership, they were worried that the war could turn into a nuclear war, which would certainly wipe Greal off the map. But, all the same, the Greal nuclear weapons stockpile of 40,000 were getting ready.

Meanwhile, Greal troops began surrounding Leocardian bases around Greal. Greal troops however made no attempt to attack. Greal militia also helped out with the Greal troops, by transporting military goods in cars that looked like belonging to civilians, or transported supplies by other ways, like by forests or lakes, the Greal army had the full support of the people.

Greal would fight to the last man to defend its sacred land.

OOC: Deployed the fleet a while back but haven't RPed 'em for a while so now would be a good time. LS did you TG the rest about my thoughts yet? As for Burlovia, don't think I was going let you just get past my fleet which is not to far from the Western Province.

Most of the 2 million troops were being dropped off at Wormer where they would continue on to reinforce Sasha for the oncoming battles, soon to take place. The orders were given and the massive fleet split leaving 300 Irondeck class battleships, 200 Seastabber class battleships, 100 Hermin class cruisers, and 100 of the Oscar class subs with the Allied Fleet of forces from Cazelia, TAP, Greal, and Zoingo. The rest, 200 Seastabbers, 50 Hermins, and 300 Oscar class subs, went on to go and make defensive moves to cut off Burlovian Aid to the Leocardian troops.

The Hermin cruisers made a V shape with the tip pointing at the enemies. The Seastabbers took their positions in rows of 5 to the right of the Hermins, they were closest to the land. The oscars split into even smaller groups, 100 leaft to stay and help the surface ships and the other 200 left to go attack the Burlovians from behind.

The current plan was have the Seastabbers go in front of the Burlovian ships, the Hermins wedge into their side lines and the Oscars come from behind and push them up into range for the Seastabbers to massacre them.

The men were at battlestations, ready to blast the threat out of the water. Then they fired. A total amount of 20,000 Sea Sparrow Missiles, 100 from each ship, flew up into the air and then down upon the Burlovian FLeet. The missiles left black streaks of smoke in the air where the traveled and made giant flames or ripplies in the water where they hit.

The fired as they continued to move foward, attempting to cut them off. Then the cruisers started wedge into the enemy fleet. They shot a combined of 700 CIWSs and then men onboard started taking up positions on the MArk 50 Surface Torpedos. As the torpedos leaf the cannon they were guided by the many systems established into the ships until they came near the targets.

The Oscars were still a bit away and were creeping ever slowly towards the behind of the large Burlovian fleet. They sent out a RADAR Jammer to stop detection by teh Burlovian fleet, unfortunately it affected the other Grestonian ships, but any enemy was in eye sight.

OOC: Even if I didn´t have time to unload any men on shore, by ships are already close the beach. So you can´t place your ships in front of me, unless your vessels can walk on solid land.

IC: Burlovians weren´t worried about Grestonian fleet, because their fleet was about three times the size of theirs, and Burlovians had Leocardians to back them up.

Then their radar and satellite scans detected large amount of missiles closing in. Immediately ships started IR and radar jamming, and they started to fire flares to misdirect missiles. Carriers started a fast launching of anti-missiles, and destroyers started to fire with machine guns on missiles. Submarines launched anti-torpedoes on any incoming underwater projectile. Some 50 destroyers sunk, but the loss was acceptable, because soon there would be nothing left from Grestonians.
Missile cruisers launched 3000 tomahawks in one wave on all nearby Grestonian ships. 300 submarines launched torpedoes in a continuous stream, and the rest surfaced to launch 1000 tomahawks more.


Burlovian army HQ, Wofcosm, Burlovian capital

The Cazelian missile attack was confirmed nuclear, and it was untolerable that Cazelia had all of a sudden gone to a nuclear rampage.

Official Message to Cazelia:
Turn your bombers back, so we don´t have to use our 5000 nuclear ICBMs on you. This is the first and the last warning.

General John Heart, General of Armies, died that day. It was a blow to morale of the Greal army, but the vice president immediately found a replacement, Will Riddle. Will Riddle immediately began his duties and ordered cruise missile strikes on the Burlovian fleets. 5,000 LY589 Hellion Advanced Cruise Missiles (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?p=13525984) were fired at the fleet from various locations.

"Greali air traffic control: this is vessel EK-NM 0024 representing merchant ekranoplan group Alpha Papa Alpha Niner. We have a special delivery for the Greali military, and are requesting suitable shoreline areas to land upon."

The spearhead formation of ekranoplans droned over the sea surface, the wakes of the craft travelling at 350 km/h stretching off into the distance. This craft was the head of a group of 10 craft, each holding 40 vehicles inside their bloated bodies alongside armed unloading crew, briefed to get in, drop off the vehicles and then get back as quickly as possible. Moving in away from the Burlovian fleet, they had come with an escort of 4 corperate defence ekranoplans, differing from the others in the clusters of rounded tubes pointing out from the top and sides of the fuselage: missile launching tubes filled with Sinker IV LRAShMs and Rainbow LRSAMs. One carried a large bulge that appeared to expand out of the top of the fuselage like something organic: a RADAR unit that was surveying the area and pointing out all possible seaborne and airborne threats at its low altitude.

Ahead, the edge of territorial waters were coming up: once the armed craft peeled off to let the Greali forces take over, it was only a 10 minute dash to the shore, and then only a few minutes dash out as they took off as normal aircraft relieved of their cargo.

Mount Star Executive Bunker

The radio traffic out of Leocardia was sporadic. They were getting a lot of encrypted shortwave from Leocardian forces. Under Leafanistani protocols there were hundreds of EMP resistant shortwave radios all over the countries military bases and they were interpreting it as the military spasming trying to get itself under control after a first strike.

A Leafanistani Spy Satellite which was in position to confirm was knocked out by the interception actions and controllers on the ground interpreted its emergency disability beacons which would go off equally for a micrometeorite strike as for a nuclear EMP.

Tensions were thick, especially after a declaration from Leocardia saying at least 3 million were dead. The Triumvirate Council was now on a hair trigger to launch a strategic revenge strike. The Senate was convening via telepresence in bunkers and private homes throughout the country. The government had declared a bank holiday and warned of retaliatory strikes on the country.

OOC: Sorry for the long time between posts, this weekend got very busy on me really quickly.

The representative reporter of newspaper "Reality", the only official and legal Burlovian newspaper, asked a question:
"So are you saying that sinking foreign ships by orbital weaponry is not a declaration of war? And how is it that you find yourself in conflict with four socialist nations at the same time? Doesn´t look too good, this way you´ll be in war with all socialists countries in the world by the end of this week."

"No, it was an official warning. Our president called up the Chairman of The Northern Baltic as the rods where dropping and informed him of the attack ad that it was a warning to not enter the fighting. If it had been a declaration of war, we would have dropped one on a military facility. As for the fact that we are i conflict with four Socialist nations, we came to the aid of Greal against an invading force set to remove the legitimate, populous supported government in place of a puppet of Leocardia. Regardless of the form of government of the invaders, we went in to defend a nation in which we had hoped we could help support a stable government."

A reporter for The Concordian stood up and started his question, "Secretary Franklin! Secretary Franklin! How can you honestly claim that killing all those sailors is not a declaration of war or at least trying to provoke a war?"

At this point the entire Leafanistani press section started shouting questions over each other, voice recorders, microphones and cameras were all held aloft, and dozens of camera flashes went off. Finally one voice in the back of the delegation shouted, "REMEMBER THE AKNA!" The entire press delegation was in chaos.

The Cazelian missile attack was confirmed nuclear, and it was untolerable that Cazelia had all of a sudden gone to a nuclear rampage.

The Seastabbers locked into their positions. They sat directly in front of the large fleet and the land towards its back. In retaliation they fired massive amounts of decoys in which the Tomahawls impacted and flares were sent off throwing many more off track. Only about 700 or so impacted but impacted on only a few, unlucky ships which sunk to the ocean floor, seven fell.

It was then their turn. In response they fired up their Moskit Missiles and launched 250 non-nuclear Moskits at the surfaced submarines> Moskits could travel at a Mach 4 speed, the slowest it went was when it was launched which was at a Mach 2.1 speed. Even at the 2.1 speed it wasn't even half the time it took to submerge the submarines. Moskits give a 25 to 35 second chance to think, plan, and deploy, which would leave most ships wasted.

OOC: To be fair we warned you that launching ballistic missiles in any situation is pushing it. And with Leocardia's military 'confirming' it, our satellite down because I smashed it while trying to bash your missiles, and Burlovia 'confirming' it seems just like a nuclear strike.

When you do a tactical strike you only launch a few missiles at each time not saturate the skies with the equivalent of a full all out nuclear strike. My actual tactical strike against you reflects that philosophy.

IC: The CIWS guns had forgotten their purpose. CLOSE-IN weapons systems had no effect on Quasiballistic Missiles who despite their status as within the atmosphere, still were well out of range for the RIM-116's maximum range of 7.5 kilometers. And as the Bulava's continued their overshooting trajectory until they revealed their major feature. The capability for a massive in flight trajectory change, in this case a near vertical shooting trajectory designed to be the most penetrative and bury each Tac nuke into their targets.

The Bulava's fired their thrusters and as they pointed themselves down, made one final thrust before the nose cone came off. Each warhead now roared toward their targets from high up in the sky, well over supersonic speeds and now in their terminal decent phase. At 80 kilometers up their decent was near irreversible. Even high altitude missiles would have trouble. The warheads would take less than 2 minutes to hit the ground and reach Mach 11. Along with the 6 actual warheads, a metallic balloon holding a massive jammer floated gently down. 2 Decoy warheads with huge jammers on them to make themselves huge targets. Finally a cloud of aluminum chaff to distract the radar below. The MIRVs meanwhile had no trouble in this jamming, they were inertially guided. The remainder of the missile descended, firing all its flares and chaff until it finally burned up.

The warheads would soon be moving so fast they would ionize the air around them as incandescent streaks.

27,500 DF-15 ICBM nuclear missiles were fired at Cazelia as a response to the nuclear strike on Leocardia from various missile silos.

But if we back down, Leocardia will continue it's senseless aggression against Hegemony and other states. We will not betray our allies as they have done to us before; we will not set a bad example for our people or our allies people, and we will not stop a defensive campaign for the sake of an innocent nation. We however, are prepared to peacefully resolve our conflict however, for the whole situation was a misunderstanding. We fired conventional missiles, and we can prove it with facts. A Thousand F-44s attacked the bombers along with 400 Euro fighters. SAm units below opened up, the massive air force of Greal and the massive air defensives of Greal were going to make the lecoardians pay.

The aerial multirole bombers knew they would receive much air resistance, as it was famed for Greal having one of the best airforces in Leocardia's list. The multirole fighters battled fiercely against the hostile enemy fighters, but managed to unload their payloads onto the enemy coastlines. However, Q-5s and JH-7s had more than just bombs up their sleeves. Each of the planes fired out their PL-5C/E IR-homing missiles at the aerial enemies. PL-7s, AIM-9 Sidewinder and R550 Magic were fired from the Q-5s, while dropping their 600lbs clusters.

5 JH-7s were shot down, 21 Q-5s were shot down.

The spearhead formation of ekranoplans droned over the sea surface, the wakes of the craft travelling at 350 km/h stretching off into the distance. This craft was the head of a group of 10 craft, each holding 40 vehicles inside their bloated bodies alongside armed unloading crew, briefed to get in, drop off the vehicles and then get back as quickly as possible. Moving in away from the Burlovian fleet, they had come with an escort of 4 corperate defence ekranoplans, differing from the others in the clusters of rounded tubes pointing out from the top and sides of the fuselage: missile launching tubes filled with Sinker IV LRAShMs and Rainbow LRSAMs. One carried a large bulge that appeared to expand out of the top of the fuselage like something organic: a RADAR unit that was surveying the area and pointing out all possible seaborne and airborne threats at its low altitude.

Ahead, the edge of territorial waters were coming up: once the armed craft peeled off to let the Greali forces take over, it was only a 10 minute dash to the shore, and then only a few minutes dash out as they took off as normal aircraft relieved of their cargo.

With word that nuclear strikes had been engaged the Entire Mokan Stratigic bomber fleet when up in the air, Hundreds of Planes armed with Nuclear weapons began circling and rotating over Mokastana, Air defense batteries were back online, DEFCON 2. Their orders were to launch a retaliatory attack on anyone who fired nuclear devices on Greal cities. The fleet outside of Wormer Port was also ordered to prepare its nuclear arsenal. Though the magority of them were merely escorting refugees out of Greal this potential nuclear holocaust would mean a lot more need to be saved.


This war was getting dangerous.....

The Greal leadership was reluctant to use nuclear weapons. Though Greal had 50,000 of them, Leocardia most likely had more. And even 1,000 was enough to destroy the whole planet. Greal civilians were shocked by the use of nuclear weapons, and Greal newspapers used the nuclear strikes on Cazelia as propaganda.

Claxton’s rang out, officers rushed down the long hallway of Midway air base in the chain of islands south of the main land, the captain was running ahead his helmet in one hand he looked back at his brothers as they made their way out towards a massive plane on the run way, it was equipped with an ABL system, the large plane was one of many people were scrambling to, the officers rushed up in to the equipment ridden cockpit with LCD, and digitized controls and panels they secured themselves in.

The plane shook its engines roared our loudly as streams of smoke had poured out of its engines, the smoke combined with others as F-5’s and F-15F’s moved in to formation.
