*That special news music*
“Welcome to ISEC News, the best English news channel in the Indonesian States. There is breaking news today, and we’ve got live coverage from a cameraman (OOC: oddly enough, the ‘live footage’ has been translated to English from Indonesian and the swear words were censored). A Christian extremist has kidnapped Ali Rezaei, the leader of the PSIS (Partai Syariah Indonesia Serikat) political party, and is holding him hostage in a shack in Palopo, Sulawesi Selatan State.”
“That’s right, Yana. Only yesterday, Islamist extremists kidnapped the leader of the PK (Partai Kristen ) political party, and SpeFIndoS Special Forces were forced to kill 3 extremists before recapturing the political leader. The video is showing now”
[[*The video is in Night-vision, oddly enough this is a morning news show. About 6 SpeFIndoS troops with AY-142’s are quietly walking through a hallway*
“Men, get into positions, and stay quiet; I can hear him through the door”
The men obeyed, and then the leader of the squad put his ear to the door, trying to listen to the conversation on the other side.
“Those stupid Muslim guys, hah. Now we got their political leader, you.”
‘Mmmph mmmmph mmphmmph mmmph’
“Shut up!” *slap*
‘mmmmmmmph!’
The troops couldn’t take it any longer, and they broke the door open.
“You, get to the [expletive deleted] floor you son of a [expletive deleted] bas[expletive deleted]rd”
“No [expletive deleted] way mother [expletive deleted]. You put your [expletive deleted] guns down or I’m gonna blow the sh[expletive deleted] out of this son of a [expletive deleted]tch, got that!’
‘mmmmmph!’]]
*The TV screen goes back to the two newscasters, because the male one wants to say something.*
“Hey, you know, this looks just like the game, Gang Warz, the government-created game so that people would do violence on the computer, not on the street.”
“Oh. My. God. You play that stupid game?”
“Hell yeah, everyone in the Indonesian States plays it. In fact, hey Yusuf (the cameraman), put in some of the screen shots!”
“No, no, no, no, NO!!! We are NOT looking at some stooopid screenshots! Arrrgh!” *rolls eyes* “Get back to the video.”
[[ “Hey man, we won’t hurt you if you give us Mr. Rezaei, OK?”
“[expletive deleted]ck no! I want 200 million Rupiah and a ride out of [expletive deleted] TIS! Got that [expletive deleted]?”
“OK, fine. Subur, give it to him”
Subur, one of the soldiers, puts his hand in his pocket to get something. Apparently, the terrorist thought he was getting his pistol out, and then-
“What the [expletive deleted] man!”
Bang Bang Bang. Three shots went out from the terrorist’s gun and Subur fell down in a pool of blood. The leader of the squad fired his gun at the extremist, but missed. More terrorists came from a door in the back and a firefight started. Two seconds later the screen went blank.]]
The screen then turned to Yana, the female newscaster.
“Well, sources say that Mr. Rezaei was safe and evacuated from Palopo. All but one terrorist were killed and the surviving one was captured. There was one SpeFIndoS casualty, and 1 injured. The injured man will be fine. And now to Sports, Kota Laut FC lost 7-0 against rivals Embassy Internasional…”

...the camcorder did not survive the ordeal. And now, to politics. President Johann van Dyke is asking the nations of the world to help him control the Religious Tension in our nation.
[["Dear leaders of the world. As you may have heard, extremists from Muslims, Christians, and Indigenous religions in Borneo have gotten dangerousley violent. There are rumors of a rebel base in the jungles of Borneo, with about 40,000 men. The streets of Central and Southern Sulawesi States have been destroyed, as Islamic and Christian Extremists have fought each other. I myself do not understand why they are doing this; all the religions in the Indonesian States have gotten along for nearly a thousand years. So, I ask you, nations of the world, to help us restore peace between these religions. Thank You

Hmm, we are sorry about the war between the Muslim extremists and the Christians extremists. And the Shamanistic ones rebelling. Maybe just send them into a colony or something? Transmigration can nearly solve everything.
Oh, and don't let one of those Atheist nation criticize you. NEVER!
PS: Why don't you send the extremists to me? I can do something with them, such as incorporating them into our army, but send the Christian and the Shamans ones somewhere!!

Dear leader of Java-Minang,
If we capture these extremists, we would have them executed for treason against the our nation, the Indonesian States. We will not send any Islamic Extremists we find to Java-Minang. All types of Extremism is bad, and we wish to make peace and stop terrorism. The trans-migration is a good idea, however, we cannot move them if we cannot find them. Atheist people are not as bad as you think, (insert leader's name here) of Java-Minang. Some are very good people; anyone should have the right to believe what they want.
Thank You for the Ideas and Comments,

More Conflict in SE Asia!
UNN news updated 1:50am ET, Tues., 11 March 2008
JAKARTA, Indonesia, In addition to the conflicts in Vietnam, more conflict seems to be brewing in Southeast Asia. Specifically, the Indonesian States.
Late breaking reports from the Indonesian States indicate that Christian and Islamic extremists have begun fighting each other causing the government to lose control over some of the provinces of the country.
Unlike in Vietnam, President Tacoma has not been quick to make any statement about the conflict. Most likely because of the tense religious nature of it. Political Analysts suspect that Tacoma does not want to offend the Islamic minority in the UST, however, does not want to look weak in the eyes of the Christian majority. A statement is expected by early tomorrow, but there is officially no word from Phoenix on the issue.
The conflict in TIN is certainly looks to be a much more complicated and less clear cut than the communist rebellion in Vietnam.
This Breaking Story will be updated as more information becomes available.

President Johann van Dyke is currently in the hospital after visiting Makassar, the Capital of Sulawesi Selatan State. He apparently got a bad case of - ahem - diarreah, probably coming from food poisoning. Some believe that this is because of one of the three extremist factions, but it is highly doubted, and the president being sick is probably irrelavent in the religious war."

"President, it's great that your back on your feet again!"
"Thank you, Ali, it was just terrible in that hospital, and it is nice to breath the fresh air again"
"Right over here, sir, is where youwill be taking you speech in Makassar, to address the racial tension recently."
"Yes, yes, I know, Ali. You don;t have to remind me of everything..."
The president climbed on the outdoor stage; it looked unstable and unsafe. Since he is a playful man, and a funny one, he jokingly jumped up and down on the stage, and the people there got a few laughs-until he fell.
"Let's hope this stage doesn't fa-aaaahhh!"
"Mr. President!"
After all the smoke went away, everyone gathered around the hole, and some walked in to see what had happened.
"Are you okay, Mr. President?"
"Oh no, I see a C4 bomb!"
"Get the president out, now! Go, go, go!"

The president was escorted out of the stage while security secured the area. All of a sudden, two trucks filled with soldiers holding AK-47's and with machine guns fixed on the back, drove into the area where the stage was set; much like a town square.
"Allahu Akbar!", the rebels screamed, as the rat-tat-tat of the guns deafened the air.
Civilian onlookers, most of whom were either setting up the stage or political men, including the president, ran for their lives and took cover. many were scattered on the ground, silent and still. The security guards responded back with more gunfire, and in a few minutes the gunfight was over.
One of the trucks crashed into a building, causing it to explode. The other had the driver killed, and the soldiers went out of the truck to fight more. In the end, 28 lives were lost, 11 rebels, 6 security, and 11 civilians. 3 more security were injured, and 18 civilians were injured too, including the president.

MAKASSAR, sulawesi selatan state
Today, two attacks have been made in Sulawesi Selatan State, one by Islamic Extremists and one by Christian Extremists. Both have been terribly violent, and there were up to 150 deaths.
The first attack happened in the Makassar Town Square, where President Johann van Dyke was going to make his speech. While they were setting up the stage, two trucks filled with Muslim Extremists drove in and started shooting. After 10 minutes, the terrorists were defeated, but some managed to run away. In all, there were 28 deaths.
The second attack occured in the mountains, about 45km Palopo. Christian Extremists here ambushed an Indonesian army patrol, and then more reinforcements came, including armoured vehicles, to assist the trapped patrol. These men were ambushed as well, but they managed to break through the Extremists and get save the patrol. Then, they continued on to a village, where it was believed the extremists came from, and surrounded it. The village is still at seige. In all, there were 120 deaths.

Encrypted Transmission From the Government of the Generic Empire
To the Head of the [insert name] Christian Rebel Organization,
His Most Holy Imperial Majesty, Emperor Nikolai II, Beloved of God has heard of the tension that has grown in your nation between Christians and Muslims. We, the Government and people of the Generic Empire, have watched in horror as our Christian brothers have been massacred in the streets while the face of Islamic extremism remains unmarred.
As part of the new Imperial mission to defend Christianity, especially Generian Orthodoxy and Roman Catholicism the world over, we extend to you our hand in friendship. We, the Imperial Government, are willing to offer to you weapons, funding, and intelligence to help you in your war against the Muslim Extremists who threaten your lives, and the government that has failed to protect you.
Should you accept, Generia will immediately transfer 17 billion American dollars to an account you specify, and will begin preparations to dispatch to you military and humanitarian supplies as well as weapons of war. Additional funds will also be forthcoming.
We hope that you will accept our offer of friendship, and we ask you to keep this message and any further dealings with the Imperial government as discreet as possible.
Yours in God,
Dmitri Fedotov,
Loyal Servant to Emperor Nikolai II

The Imperial Government and His Most Holy Majesty are pleased that you have accepted our offer of support. As it stands, we have transferred the funds to your account, and are preparing a shipment of 60,000 GIR-47 assault rifles and ammunition. These weapons are the standard issue to every soldier of the Generian Imperial Army, and are guaranteed to perform effectively in all conditions. In addition, we are dispatching significant quantities of grenades, Semtex plastic explosive, G-19 Rocket Propelled Grenade Launchers, and G-26 shoulder fired surface to air missile launchers to aid you in your defense of your families and your faith. Furthermore, we will include additional shipments of food and medical supplies.
As it stands, we are unsure of the best method to transport this equipment to you. As all of what we are dispatching can be loaded easily onto civilian or military cargo aircraft, we are inclined to send the supplies by air. However. we can arrange to send a civilian freighter flying false colors to a port of your choosing, where you can unload the shipment.

The Imperial Government thanks you for the maps and information. As of now, a special task force within the Generian Imperial Intelligence Service will be coordinating the supply and armament of your noble movement. All communications will now run through this office.
Regarding the first shipment, it will arrive by air over the course of the next three days at Manado International Airport. Imperial military cargo aircraft will travel under escort by Generian fighters, supplied by an Imperial carrier task force positioned midway between the Empire and the Indonesian States.
I have also suggested that false Generian papers may be issued to high level members of your movement, to help evade capture and facilitate escape from the Indonesian States should something go wrong. The offer will stand for the duration of the war.
Imperial Intelligence liaisons will be on hand with the first shipment to offer further assistance and serve as a direct personal link to the Generic Empire in the coming months. We wish you luck. Should you require anything specific, do not hesitate to ask. Details of regular shipments will be sent as they are prepared.

OOC: just to let people know, the Christians are mostly made up people from Manado and the Maluku islands, as well as the Dutch and Chinese.
The Islamic Militants, Al Shurtee Shariah, were in deep trouble. Their attack on Manado was not working well, since Java-Minang's help has not come yet. Three men were in a small, cramped room, discussing their plans to attack.
"Assamu-alaikum warahmatullah hibarokatu" said one man. the others replied "walaikum as-salaam"
"Brothers, you know why we are here. We are here to wipe out the Christians from Indonesia, so we can gain their profits. The Christians have been dominating the economy for hundreds of years, expecially those Dutch, and finally, once we rid of them, the Muslim majority will get what they deserve."
"But sir, you know that Magdha and Generia are on their side. Possibly even Mokastana! Java-Minang promised us supplies, but so far none have came. We will lose of a landing at Manado is made."
"Do not worry. I will try and get support from the Montana Inc., and hopefully they will give us the supplies instead of the Christians."

Inside the Montana Defense Building A sales rep received this message. When it came to rebels and non-mokan friendly governments they would either be rejected or sent back up the ladder to the Bogotá World Headquarters, where most of the Gray transactions occurred. Given the fact that the order was vague and unsure it was quickly emailed to the Administration sales Department. After two hours a representive checked the emails, saw an email labeled: Grey, High Order
It was immediately forwarded to Antonio Montana Himself. Where upon waking up the next day he climbed out of bed, kicked the secretary out, made himself some fresh orange juice, kicked the other secretary out, helped her find her bra before she left, then he checked his emails. He read the order over as he tried to figure out where this order was from. at the top someone had added the message that it was from The Indonesian states. Those guys who helped out the Mejican Revolution. He remembered that war, didn't profit from it, got caught way to early. He sent a message to an employee named Nicoli Kushkev to be on a plane to The Indonesian states and find these people and make a deal. The next message was from the Mokan government, he was to fly to Mokastana city for his court date he had been pushing off forever, treason against the former confederacy of Mokastana.

"All right men, time to move!"
800 men get their guns from the armory, and get into their large trucks. Many climb into the back, and sit there, about to be transported into enemy territory. The rebels certainly have more than 800 soldiers, but most of them would have to defend Manado in case of attack. Noel Ratungali climbs on top of one of the trucks, and all eyes are on him as he makes his speech.
"Men, the Indonesian States has too long refused to see our Independance. Indonesia has hundreds, if not thousands of ethnic groups, so why do we all have to follow two or three? Now, we will show Indonesia what we got. They will be so caught by surprise, they will immideitly let us have our own nation. OK, off to Gorontalo!!"

Colonel Adrian Makerievic spilled his drink as the GC-14 cargo plane made a rough landing on the Manado airstrip. It was a small annoyance in comparison with the harrowing journey the aerial convoy had made from the Generian homeland. The several overloaded cargo aircraft had just managed to reach the waypoint and refuel before being forced to make a long detour around the state of Philippines selatan. Despite the heavy fighter escort, the seasoned Imperial military intelligence man had grown nervous about flying in such a large target.
He was one of a dozen Generian advisors dispatched with the first weapons shipment to aid the Permesa Dua rebels in their fight for independence. Having served several years in the Imperial Regular Army before transferring to the Imperial Military Intelligence Office and later to the Generian Imperial Intelligence Service, he was a valuable asset, with specialization in everything from basic interrogation to heavy weapons to military architecture. He was also the oldest of the men Generia had deployed, and served as the de facto head of mission to the Christian rebellion.
As the plane came to a stop on the runway, he rose, and hastily wiped the drops of bourbon from his suit jacket, before exchanging it for an extra. He straightened his tie, and adjusted the sidearm in the holster at his hip before heading for the rear of the plane. The ramp lowered, and, alongside a pair of armed men in civilian clothes, he stepped out under the foreign sun. He was caught off guard by the humidity, unusual to someone who had spent his whole life enduring the frigid winters and cool summers of central Generia.
A second cargo plane touched down nearby, as the rest circled overhead, waiting for clearance to land. Behind the Generian Colonel, the cargo plane’s crew began the lengthy process of unloading the stacks upon stacks of crates containing guns, ammunition, and explosives. Construction machinery and materials had also been included in the shipment at the last moment, upon hearing that the Permesa Dua rebels intended to begin construction on fortifications in their territory.
He checked his watch, as a second Intelligence officer stepped up beside him.
“I hope we aren’t too late,” said the Colonel. “I heard that the rebels intended to begin an attack on Gorontalo very soon. They could use the equipment.”
“Gorontalo?” asked the other man, lighting a Generian cigarette. “The Hell is that?”
The Colonel looked over at the man, raising an eyebrow.
“Didn’t you study the map? It’s the far west of the island.”
The man, a young technical specialist from Sofia, shuffled his feet, sheepishly. First impressions were everything.
The Colonel looked back at his watch, then at the plane, where the first crates were being loaded onto a forklift, and stacked beside the runway.

Nicoli Kushkev flew as one of the few business passengers to The Indonesian states, after all they did support the most recent rebellion, so of course business was slow between Mokastana and them. However capitalism could always look over previous issues for the right reasons. His objective was of course to "offically meet up with local business leaders to use Indonesian Labor for Montana industries. Montana was expanding into the business of appliances and needed an Asian parter for cheap labor.
and unofficially, he was to meet up with the man who sent the email he had saved on his laptop computer. Before he left he had sent messages out to man Indonesians. He hoped that everything would go to plan. If not, he had a few "business associates" with him. Two were Montana Security personnel, who are required to carry a weapon by company policy at all times.

We do accept the building of factories in the Indonesian States' autonomous states, as agreed by their leaders, but not the nation itself. Believe me, if you are looking for cheap labor, the Indonesian States is not the place to look for it. We have been Independant for more than a thousand years - since 846 AD - and we fought with the European powers for supremacy. In the Indonesian States itself, we hire builders and factory workers from other nations, primarily the autonomous districts of Aceh, Philippines Selatan, and Papua. We thank you for your offer, but, again, the factories are only allowed to be built in the Autonomous Districts of the Indonesian States.

These autonomous states are peaceful, and no rebellions have been in the area. They have the same rights as any Indonesian States; as they could vote for the President. However, the Autonomous States have to follow most of the Indonesian States' laws, and must not war against each other. Here is information on Indonesia's Autonomous States:
Aceh Darusallam
When the Kingdoms in what is now called the Indonesian States first united in 846, Aceh was the only kingdom that refused to join. After amounts of tension against the large, united Indus Nesos, and the small kingdom of Aceh, the Indonesian States annexed Aceh Darusallam and it became a colony of Indonesia in 1481. It was forbid Statehood because it refused to join the Indonesian States at the beginning. In 1899, The Indonesian Government responded to the frequent protests in Aceh by declaring it an Autonomous State with limited freedom. Aceh and the Indonesian States have been getting along well ever since. Capital: Banda Aceh
The area is small, and most of the money comes from shipping (Banda Aceh Port), and timber. Fishing is also an important source of Income.
Papua
The Indonesian States captured Papua - or western New Guenea - in 1235. The former Kepala Merak Empire revolted in 1258, but the rebellion failed. During WWII, many airfields and bases were build to defend Indonesia from the Japanese, but the Japanese eventually captured Papua in 1943. The Japanese sought to destroy the Indonesian States, so they gave arms to the Free Papua Movement. After the Japanese left, the FPM continued to fight the Indonesians until 1957, when a treaty gave it the 'Autonomous State' Status.
Papua is a vast territory, and most of it is jungle. It is the poorest of the 3 Autonomous Districts. Most of the land is rainforest - 99% - and many people still live in tribes within the forest. Its main source of Income is Oil, coming from the mountains, and Tourism.
Philippines Selatan
The Philippines were slowly captured over a course of almost 100 years during the 1400's. Each island was captured 1 by 1, and every 2 or 3 islands were turned into a colony. By 1516, there were four colonies: Mindanao-Sulu, Leyte-Samar, Negros-Cebu-Bohol, and Mastabe. In 1776, The latter two colonies become the Territory of Visyaya, while Mindano-Sulu and Leyte-Samar become the Territory of Leyte Gulf. In 1941, These territories were captured by the Japanese, and here, they gave small local rebel grouos weapons and supplies. These rebel groups surrendered along with the Japanese in 1945, and Both Philippino territories merge to become the Autonomous State of Philippines Selatan in 1950.
The vast ocean surrounding the islands means that fishing is one of the most important jobs. Most of the Indonesian States' factories are here as well; mainly in the cities of Davao, Cadiz, and Cebu. Rice, Timber, and Rubber are also important sources of Income.

Two soldiers were off shift, and while they had the free time, they sat by the airstrip, watching the occasional jet take-off.
"Shit man, we could be attacked any minute, you know? Those freakin' rebels, why can't they just get along?"
"Hell yeah, man they should. Those Muslims started this stupid war."
"You makin' fun of Muslims, Christian?"

*RED ALERT! RED ALERT! THIS IS NOT A DRILL*
"We'll fight late - ahh, i'm hit!"
20 or so trucks, and 3 tanks drove in with extra troops running with them. The Christian rebels were wearing masks above their head, and yelling chants as they were shooting their guns.
"Die! Die! Die!"
The Indonesian soldiers were shot down and blown up by the tanks as the Rebels advanced. Once the rebels entered a hangar, they blew up the planes with RPS's and shot any hiding soldiers. The tanks, once destroying the jetplanes, advanced towards Gorontalo city, where the few surviving Indonesian States' soldiers retreated to.

a brief Bio of Nicoli:
He is the main man for Antonio Montana when it comes to semi legal and illegal deals. He prefers to keep things simple, however will use force if the situation calls for it. He is a good negotiator, and very fair and willing to work though anything to ensure the customers get what they ordered or need.
A sadist in private he tends to make examples of men who betray him, for example, he has a bullet scar on his left shoulder, whenever someone asks about it he chuckles and explains to whoever wants to know.
...and TG me the meaning of his last name.

Nicoli looked at the frog legs and decided he could of ordered a lot worse things. Back when he was a Mokan Conscript he ate frog legs raw, fired, that was a nice improvement.

Noel Ratungali drove back to Manado in his truck. When he reached the airfield, he went to the Generian Pilots, awaiting orders.
"Hello, men, welcome to Manado. The Gorontalo base has already been captured just a couple of hours ago, but an attack on the city is imminent. We ask of you to do an airraid on Gorontalo before we attack."
Generic empire
20-03-2008, 20:19
Colonel Makerievic frowned and scratched his stubbled chin at Ratungali's request. He hadn't come prepared to engage the Empire directly in the conflict, in the manner in which an air raid would imply, but he did recognize the importance of air support in any sort of major offensive such as the rebels were planning.
"Yes, yes. I'll see what I can do," he said in accented English, fairly sure that the rebel leader wouldn't understand even a heavily russified dialect of the Generian language.
He walked over to the communications terminal that the crew had set up on the runway. There was an Imperial carrier battlegroup a few hours off the coast. An airstrike could probably be orchestrated in about a half hour. He picked up the radio, and relayed the request. A few minutes later, the response came over.
"Affirmative. Two bomber wings en route."
The Generian intelligence officer smiled as he walked back over to the rebel leader.
"Imperial aircraft will hit the city in about an hour."
As he spoke, the two flights of ten Generian GIF-77 fighter bombers, escorted by GIF-3 Gunslinger fighters rocketed off the decks of the carriers and screamed towards Gorontalo. Rebel intelligence information was put together with Imperial satellite data on government army positions in the city to complete a strike package. The aircraft screamed in towards the shore, releasing their payloads of heavy guided bombs onto fortified positions, RADAR installations, and other targets of opportunity.
Meeting of the Crown Council
The Sacred Potalaku Palace, The Capital City of Oka-Babilu
The Crown Council was called together to address the civil war between Muslim and Christian in the Indonesian States. Emperor Lugalu II, having recently authorized the application for an embassy in the Indonesian States and still in Holy Paradise attending a summit with the Indonesian Acting President Muhammad Hanka, was absent and the Majordomo of the Palace was acting as presiding officer over this Council, as per tradition.
The Majordomo stood at the head of the table, where the Emperor traditionally is placed and began the meeting, "Order, order. Everyone is aware of the situation in the Indonesian States, yes? Well, now if we are to open an embassy in that country as the Emperor desires and join an alliance with them as the Emperor also desires, then we must assist this country. The government seems to be unable to handle their own people, so it would seem that this is the only beginning of a long conflict. Since their leader is not in the country, our embassy has not yet been fully set up, and frankly it's too damn dangerous for a diplomat, then some sort of military aid must be provided. But to whom?"
The Archpriest of the Taraplos Church of the Saviour and Hierarch of Urushalim, second only to the Emperor himself in the administration of the state-sanctioned Uraartu Catholic Orthodox Church, expressed outrage, "How can you ask such a question!? This Permesta Dua organization should be given our full support, whether or not the Indonesian leadership condones them. They are our brothers and sisters in Christ, after all!"
The High King of Yassytia, one of the royals on the council and one of the staunchest supporters of a secular foreign policy, decided to speak up, "Now is not the time to be waging a crusade, we have problems here at home to deal with first before engaging in a long, drawn out conflict in the jungles of another country. We must exercise restraint now."
The Supreme Commander of the Uraartu Imperial and Royal Armed Forces, Gen. Rondon Dyeus ar-Ekunos, though, had a very different opinion, "With all due respect to his highness, this is the perfect opportunity for us to expand our relationship with the Indonesian government. I feel the Emperor would agree with the assessment that while we should not take sides among the rebels, we should extend a helping hand to their government rather than take an isolationist approach. Our military may not be huge, but it is certainly capable of taking on a supporting role."
The King of Yedo, once a supporter of isolationist foreign policy but now a staunch Christian convert and political opponent of the High King, "General Dyeus may be right in that we shouldn't sit here and do nothing we should most certainly not ignore the Christians of Indonesia, a minority which has long been under threat of the Muslims."
The Majordomo hammered on the table with the Orb of Imperial Authority, signalling the end of discussion and the beginning of a vote.
"Come to order, Crown Councillors. Now we will hold a vote. All in favor of staying out of the conflict militarily, say aye," only a few minor Dukes and the Chancellor of the University of Dahleez, a noted pacifist along with the High King of Yassytia said aye, albeit loudly.
"All in favor of supporting the Indonesian Government in this conflict, say aye," again, a couple princes and one or two dukes said aye along with the Supreme Commander of the UIRAF.
"Very well, all in favor of supporting the Muslim terrorist organization, say aye," none said aye, many shouted nay angrily. "Quiet now, no need for such behaviour."
"And finally, all in favor of aiding the Christian freedom fighters, say aye," and the loudest response symbolically drowned out any and all peace-loving politicians and royals who would oppose such a measure. The Emperor was required to officially authorize such a measure, but in practice by now it was government policy in all but name.

Briefing on the Indonesian Crisis
Bada-kube Base, Armed Forces Central Command, Free City of Lao Nio
Supreme Commander Rondon Dyeus ar-Ellahu, normally an ardent supporter of the Emperor and Crown Council's decision, was having a change of heart. He felt that the principles of Uraartu were being compromised in order to further political goals. But, as ordered by the Minister of War and Home Defense, who in turn was following orders from the Crown Council's earlier vote, he had assembled the military commanders who were to be involved in this war, a disgusting, criminal, and anti-Christian war in his opinion despite the stated goal of helping Christians.
Generals Dryas Sabazo, commander of the Ground Forces Division, and Oro Bormis, commander of the Aerospace Forces Division, as well as Admiral Gree Bormis, no relation to Oro, were gathered to discuss how to proceed.
"Commanders, we are at an impasse. On the one hand, we have received clear commands to assist in anyway possible to aid these criminals in a religious conflict in the Indonesian States, these so-called Christians. On the other hand, we have taken an oath to defend the sovereignty of the Uraartu Commonwealth. By taking part in this conflict, we are surrendering our sovereignty to foreign rebels, we are submiting to the will of foreign powers no matter how much our own government supports them. This will undoubtedly lead to future attacks on our soil against our citizenry by either those Muslims or the Indonesian government."
"Here, here," resounded the two Generals and Admiral. "But we cannot disobey the orders we've received. What can we do Rondon, to rectify the situation?"
"The answer is clear. We have the ability to oust this civilian government who knows not what is best for the people."
General Oro Bormis stood and spoke up, "Surely you don't mean treason!? That is ourageous, I would rather aid the Permesta Dua than betray my own country."
"General, please calm down. We will not be committing treason against the Emperor, the only rightful leader of Uraartu, but rather his Majordomo and the Crown Council who have made this decision without His Eminence's knowledge or blessing. We are patriots, not traitors! Until such time that the Emperor returns, though, we must assist the PD until we can dissolve this usurper government."
To: Noel Ratungali, Permesta Dua
From: Gen. Rondon Dyeus ar-Ekunos, Uraartu
To the Christian patriots of the Permesta Dua, you have the support of the Uraartu government and the Holy Apostolic Catholic Orthodox Church of Uraartu. Assistance will be provided as needed when our affairs are in order, but for now, know that our nation shall embrace any and all members of your organization seeking asylum. Be aware, though, that I will not allow my forces to be engaged in any attack on Indonesian government forces or property, either directly or indirectly.

Kiravian Empire
Permissum Astrum Subleuco
Embassy to the Indonesian States
By order of Emperor Irasur Seawind, I am to inform the Indonesian government that the Kiravian Empire will accept Christian refugees fleeing the violence. Our heavily Islamic province of Coscivistan has alotted 70,000 persons worth of housing or land for Muslim refugees.
Those seeking entry into the Empire may either apply at our Embassy, or simply arrive at a Kiravian port, where they will be subject to an inspection(and risk deportation). Make note that we will not be allowing refugees to carry weapons, and that known extremist leaders or guerillas will be denied entry to Kiravia.
Regards,
Reder Blacksea

Nicoli's accent was hard to place, growing up in a Russian home in a Hispanic nation his accent had the thickness of a Russian with the flow of a Latin tongue. He was a strong build and looked like a body guard rather then a business man.
"Well, how large of a force do you have? No doubt that will decide what we may need to get you. However I can show you what we have for immediate export."
He pulled out his PDA and uploaded a file called, hardware, and it showed a list of military supplies for sale:

((OOC: sorry guys, if i skip a post by accident. NationStates doesn't exactly come first in the things to do for me. Comes fifth, no, much further, actually, now that I think about it. Uraatu, aren't you with me in that new alliance?))
To: The majordomo of Uraatu
You may send a diplomat if you wish, since this violence has been going on from only one Island of the 13,000 Indonesian Islands. It is perfectly safe, expecially in the capital. The Underwater capital city has so much security, it is practically impossible to attack it. And also, we have done our best to keep the peace; we held taks a few months back. It is these terrorists that have been wanting to seperate the nation. The president himself is Christian, but he does not want to split the nation, he got attacked by the terrorists! The point is, only a minority of the Christian minority, and a smaller minority of the Muslim majority, wants to have war.

Even non-extremist Christians that have been evacuated to other safe islands have been ridiculed by the local population. We have been trying to keep the evacuees, both Muslim and Christian alike, in safe hands. We greatly thank you for letting these evacuees of the war-torn island go into Kirav. Again, Thank you.

Munzir AndiLombo looked at the list carefully.
"damn, thats a lot of weapons. Wait one moment, I will send an e-mail to my boss, with the list of the weapons so he can decide what to choose. He will then send an email to you confirming the weapons purchase."

GORONTALO CITY
"What's that whistling sound? Oh no, run!!!"
At that precise moment, the bombs hit the city, though not entirely by surprise. After the attack on the Gorontalo Airfield, they fortified the city by making a wall of sandbags on the roads, so rebels wouldn't get through.
"What the hell happened? No rebels s'possed to got aircraft? Hey, you think the rumors are true? Generia has aided the rebels?"
"Nah, why would they?"
Now, tanks came rolling down the street, and soldiers, slowly crawling towards the city, now started shooting at the Indonesian States' Soldiers. They responded by blowing up one of the Tanks and shooting machine gun fire at the charging rebels. Now, war has started.
OOC: I guess I should clarify my intent. While Emperor Lugalu II is out of the nation at that meeting in Holy Paradise, the Majordomo and Crown Council have taken it upon themselves to provide military aide to the Christian rebels. The Supreme Commander and other military leaders, though, do not support this position because their loyalties belong to the Emperor, and let's just say a coup d'etat is in the works.

OOC: oh, i see now. just wondering, but is your nation like an island in the pacific?
OOC: yes, it's on an island shared by the other members of my region, though I won't let that interfere with the rp

You are welcome. We have programs in place that will make it easier for them to return to Indonesia after the war, if they so wish. But for however long they stay within our borders, they will be in good hands. THank you for your understanding.
