Background History
Once, years ago, the Arazi were a flourishing mini-Empire. Though they had yet to achieve faster-than-light travel, their people were happy, their standard of living was incredibly rich - in essence, theirs was an idyllic existance. War was a concept, not a reality, a story from the 'Ancient Past' of their kind.
Then the Kar'Ula were created.
The Arazi mainstream religion was the Order of Kar'Os - their patron God. Through his divine will, it is believed, were they created, and it is his protection and guidance that makes the Arazi what they are... or were.
The Kar'Ula, however, thought differently. Theirs was a religion based around forceful conversion... or elimination. For the first few decades, there was just minor discord, the occasional rally, the rare beating.
Then the war truly began.
The Kar'Ula, through means unknown, suddenly erupted throughout the Arazi system, heavily armed and equipped with weapons and starships of horrible power. Within a year, the idyllic existance of the Arazi was a dim, depressing memory - war was rampant. The followers of Kar'Os unanimously denounced the Kar'Ula followers, declaring them heretical and non-Arazi animals, and immediately began creating weapons and technologies to fight the Kar'Ula.
But, though their technology was inherently superior, their tactics above and beyond the realm of the Kar'Ula, they were doomed. The sheer weight and fanatical determination of the Kar'Ula caused greater and greater loss of life, until Project Exodus was formed.
Under the Exodus guidelines, five groups of two massive, super-advanced superships would be launched, and, using a revolutionary Phase Jump Drive, would escape the Arazi system to find new homes among the stars.
Only one group survived the harrowing journey into deep space and the enveloping folds of Phase Space - and theirs was a horrific journey, as, just after launch, the Kar'Ula committed the ultimate atrocity. They reverse-engineered the Phase Jump Drive, and turned it into an explosive device of incredible power. They then linked it directly into a ZPM.
The detonation shattered the Arazi system.
Arazi Physical & Mental Description
The typical Arazi is approximately 217cm/7'1" in height. Arazi are naturally slender beings, with four long arms and two slightly longer legs. Despite their percieved physical frailty, the typical Arazi is anything but frail - a fully grown male can punch with enough force to dent a steel pylon, and they are able to tolerate an amazing range of extremes. There is practically no difference between male and female, in terms of standards of height, strength or mental acuity.
Arazi have a natural, nearly instictual feel for audial harmonics - thus, their use of energy harmonics in their technologies. They can essentially feel a sound, and can train this natural talent to such levels that Master Engineers (Arazi Translation - Kal'Rus'Ra) can actually hear the stresses of their starship.
In terms of intelligence, Arazi are very slightly above the average intelligence levels of Homo Sapiens.
Arazi are possessed of an extremely powerful cellular regenerative property - at least, in comparison to other species at a similar level of evolution. They do not scar - rather, they regenerate in a manner much like that of an Earth starfish. However, dismembered sections of the organism cannot regenerate. The average rate of regeneration is dependent on the severity of the injury - an entire limb can take weeks, whereas a lost finger can take as little as a few days. This cellular regeneration leads to Arazi having extremely long lifespans - the average Arazi lifespan is approximately eight hundred years, with wild variations.
The Remnant
The Arazi Remnant consists of the Producer Superstarship Indomitable, a massive starship able to consume vast amounts of resources, and the 'fuel cow' of the Remnant, the Mothership Deliverance, the home of several thousand stasis-bound Arazi colonists - the last of their race - and the Arazi, the flagship of the annihilated Arazi Defense Fleet.

Arazi Technology
The basis of the majority of Arazi technology is in 'Harmonies' - complex mathematical equations that are shaped and manipulated by Master Harmonizers (Arazi Translation - Kal'Zi). These Harmonies are extremely important to the operation of Arazi technology, as all their systems - from their Zero-Point-Module Power Generators, to their weapons, to their defensive systems, to their Phase Jump Drives.
Arazi Power Sources consist exclusively of Zero-Point-Modules - theoretically limitless power sources. However, limitations in Arazi power-distribution systems limit the amount of useable power, and, like all power sources, ZPMs are subsceptible to strain from over-use.

Arazi weapons systems are primarily made up of four basic designs - one of which is currently not in use.
Plasma Lance (Think HW2 Pulsar Cannons, but on steroids)
The Plasma Lance is the Mass Driver equivalent of the Arazi military. Though power outputs and damage yields vary, the principle is the same - a plasma charge is magnetically shaped, and then emitted at extreme speed by a second magnetic 'Firing Pin'.
LASER Array
LASER Arrays are principally used as Point Defence or CQB weapons systems. In terms of power-to-damage, they are substantially more powerful than the Plasma Lance. However, the inherent qualities of LASERs severely limits the range at which they can effectively cause damage. The primary use of the LASER Arrays is as Point Defence or Payload Interception weapons, and their ease of use and ease of miniaturization allows for multiple arrays on starships. Should an enemy ship attempt to engage an Arazi ship in a close-in broadside-to-broadside action, they will be in for a nasty shock...
Ion Array (Another partial HW rip-off, I am ashamed to admit)
The Arazi Ion Array is a series of lenses, through which a powerful stream of energy is focused via Harmonization. The most powerful weapon in the Arazi arsenal, the Ion Array is able to maintain a constant beam of energy, which is able to traverse extreme distances before finally dispersing.
Ion Pulse Cannon
The Ion Pulse Cannon was an evolution of the Ion Array. However, instead of being used as an even more powerful weapons system for capital ships, Ion Pulse Cannons were miniaturized and used as the main weapon system for the fledgling Arazi Defense Force's Fighter Corps. This gave fighters an excellent weapon system, which could easily swat down enemy fighters of similar size, cause extensive damage to corvette-sized ships, and effectively distract frigate-sized warships. At present, this weapon design is unused with the Remnant's Navy, although reduced-yield, miniaturized versions are in use with the Arazi's onboard Shock Trooper regiment.
Defenses
Arazi defensive technology is based on primarily upon gravitics - the manipulation of gravity to deflect weapons fire. Although Arazi ships do have conventional energy shielding, this is only rudimentary in comparison to the advancement of their gravitic shielding. They also employ Hull Polarization, should enemy fire somehow penetrate their Defense Fields.
Gravitic Defense Field
The Gravitic Defense Field is generated, and maintained, by a standard Harmonizer. The Defense Field works by generating an intense gravitic push away from the generating starship - in effect, deflecting all manner of projectile. However, they do suffer from an inability to deflect energy-based weapons fire.
Energy Defense Field
In comparison to the Gravitic Defense Field, Energy Defense Fields seem almost rudimentary, such is the ease of harmonizing a field. However, despite this ease, Arazi Energy Defense Fields are very basic, and are not nearly as strong as Gravitic Defense Fields. If it were not for a sneak-attack by Kar'Ul fanatics wielding basic energy weapons, the Arazi would not even have Energy Defense Fields.
Hull Polarization
Hull Polarizers generate an Electro-Magnetic current throughout a section of hull, increasing the Hull's resiliance by several orders of magnitude. Hull Polarizers were the first defensive technology used aboard Arazi vessels, and are a staple defensive technology. It is one of the only major defensive systems to not employ harmonic systems.

It is commanded by the veteran Ship Commander (Arazi Translation - Kal'Mel) Andreus Dentar.

Built to be able to survive massive onslaughts of incoming fire, the Deliverance is lightly armed with four Plasma Lances, but makes up for it with a massive forty LASER Arrays, placed to provide overlapping fields of fire. It is defended by 12 Gravitic Defense Field Generators and 12 Energy Defense Field Generators - unlike other Arazi ships, the Colonizer-class was developed with possible First-Contact Scenarios in mind, and as such, it had equally powerful Energy Defense Fields.

Developed to complement the Colonizer-class Mothership design, the Indomitable is built less for defense and more for offense, due to its role of being the 'gatherer' starship of the flotilla. It is equipped with self-sustaining automated resource collection drones, and is the only ship in the Remnant that is able to function as a mobile processing and production facility.

He has a great love of getting into the 'dirty' matters of combat, and has a particular love of participating in close-in combat actions.
Kal'daros Muhilim
Age: 852
Height: 194cm
Muhilim is the last living Sage of Kar'Os - the spiritual leader of the Remnant. Though he is on his last legs physically, mentally, he is as sharp as a razor blade.

Arakobis Juno is the Ship Commander of the Indomitable. Responsible for all matters concerning resource collection, processing and production, he is the lifeline of the Flotilla, maintaining the Deliverance and Arazi from his command.
