At a national press conference from the Media greeting room, United States of Marcuda President Artuis Burrill made the following statement:

"My Fellow Marcudians, I come to you with a heavy heart, while our nation has a history of respecting human life and it's sanctity, there are those nations that do not see the value of life as we do.

Many of you are aware of the Genocide that is going on in Belkaros, and I with you am disgusted and angry at what amounts to murder in that country.
This is why I will be asking Congress to officially condemn the acts of the Belkaros government. Leading to economic sanctions, and making it illegal for any Marcudians to import or engage in trade with Belkaros government.

In Addition, I will be asking Congress to pass a aid package of $5 Billion dollars to help the refugees that escape from the Belkaros, and that we for now give Sanctuary to any Belkan that can make it to our country. We as a nation must accept these people as our brothers and sisters.

Furthermore, I appeal to other nations that take our position on the Belkaros government to support us by joining in a coalition to raise diplomatic pressure to put an immediate stop to the Belkaros slaughter. Any goverment who opposes the actions of the current Belken Administration must stand up tyranny and as a whole MURDER.

Finally, to the Government of Belkaros it is your duty as a government to protect your people and without a doubt you have failed to do so, I encourage you to reevauluate your actions and engage in talks so that we may end what is happening in your country.

To the people of Belkaros, look inside your hearts and know that the actions of your government are monstrous, and do the right thing, and to the others, the Marcudian government supports you nad we welcome you to Marcuda with open arms. Thank you and May God Bless You and May God Bless Marcuda."

After his speech, it was clearly visible the President Burrill was emotionally distraught of the events that have unfolded in Belkaros and quickly left the Media Room. Press Secretary Adrian Knight informed the media took questions, and informed the media that the President is actively pursuing what he called "Other Measures" at the moment it's speculation, but tensions seem to be rising.

We support Marcuda in it's noble action against the heartless Belkan government. But as a result of our conflict with the Black Imperium we cannot aid this campaign with our military. What we can do is donate 7 billion dollars to Macuda's donation and we will also support Marcuda if it choose to enforce economic punishment upon Belkaros.

MNC News Anchor Daniel Justice reporting:

Congress in a unanimous bi-partisan decision just passed legislation into place, placing economic sanctions and making it illegal for any citizen of Marcuda to engage in trade with the rogue country. Furthermore, they also passed a bill allotting $5 billion for relief and aid for Belkan refugees, along with full sanctuary for the countries citizens. President Burrill is expected to sign all of these provisions into law.

With Another breaking news story, here's Micah Jefferson from the Presidents Estate.

"Thanks Daniel, we have just received a statement that President Burrill has issued a full mobilization of all of Marcuda's armed forces, and raised the national security threat level to code RED. Furthermore, senators are working on a Bill to enact a national draft to be presented to Congress. However, as many are speculating that this is the pre-cursor to a war, Secretary of State Sydney Lonkin made a statement to reporters:

"While Marcuda condemns the actions of Belkaros, it is the belief of the President that this issue can be held to diplomatic matters. These actions by the President are only administrative manuevers to ensure, that is a crisis ensures that our forces are ready to protect the citizens of this country. We do not want war, but we will be ready for any type of crisis that may occur."

Now, Daniel, although, the position of the President is no war, actions seem to speak louder than words."
