Important Figures and People in the Region:
Senator Angus Mengsk: the original leader of the Korhalian Rebellion, he was assassinated during a celebratory party, along with his wife and daughter, the aftermath had led to his son, Arcturus to take his place.
Emperor Arcturus Mengsk: son of the great Angus Mengsk, who had liberated the Colony of Korhal from the corrupt Confederacy, after his father’s death, he was chosen to lead the country, avenging his father by bombarding the capital city of Tarsonis, recently though there has been doubts about his ability to lead the country.

Prince Valerian Mengsk: Son of Emperor Arcturus Mengsk and grandson of the founder of the country, Valerian Mengsk is an archeologist, searching of items to improve the cultural heritage of Korhal, Valerian Mengsk is well known as a leading expert on the Xel’Naga; An ancient race that lived in the region thousands of years ago.

General Edmund Duke: a member of the Old Families of Tarsonis, Edmund Duke served a long military career in the defense of Tarsonis, it is known that he lead the Tarsonian Republican Guard, who were the elite forces of the country, after the crisis that resulted in the Korhalian Rebellion, with satellite states and colonies rebelling left and right, General Duke attempted a coup against the corrupt Senate, moving the bulk of his forces around the capital, he stormed the city, wiping out most of the Senate and taking their holdings, for the “good of the country”, unfortunately, major portions of the military had remained loyal to the Senate, as well as the Church attempting to take power as well. As of 2008, General Duke was the most dominant faction, controlling much of the military as well as the massive industrial complexes surrounding the capital.

Executor Tassadar: the commanding officer of the Talemetran 1st Army, Tassadar was the main reason the army had not collapsed at Erin’s Point, against the larger and more powerful Tarsonian Army, he was promoted to full command of the Armies of Talemetran, and oversaw the war against the Tarsonians, saving the country from defeat, and pushing a peace treaty with the Tarsonians, sadly, he was killed by Jasaris, a rogue Dark Templar, in the assault against the capital, Aiur.

Executor Artanis: promoted after the death of Executor Tassadar, Artanis formerly had a burning hatred of the Dark Templar, due to the murder of his mentor Tassadar, and led the counterattack against the Phoenix Guard.
Prelate Zeratul: leader of the Dark Templar, he held the city in conjunction with Tassadar, and Fenix, and fought bravely in the Defensive War of Talemetros, after Tassadar’s death, he was the one who kept the troops from collapse.

Praetor Fenix: commander of the Ranger Corps, it was thanks to Praetor Fenix that the Conclave had not fallen, indeed Fenix him self fought in hand to hand against Jasaris, unfortunately while he had saved the Conclave, he himself fell to Jasaris’s blades.

Prelate Jasaris: a Dark Templar, Jasaris believed that it should have been the Dark Templar who ruled the empire, and not the Conclave, his idea had picked up many supporters among the Dark Templar, and eventually he had formed his own rebel group: the Phoenix Guard, dedicated to ruling the Empire with an iron fist, and “saving” the Empire from the corrupt Conclave, in his previous assault, he had attacked the capital itself, and attempted to wipe out the Conclave. Although he had killed many a Templar, he was not able to reach the Conclave and withdrew.

Marshal Jim Raynor: the head of the law enforcement of the Dylar Colony, Marshall Raynor had close contacts with the Talemetran Empire, as he was secretly plotting to overthrow the Tarsonian hold over his colony, making contact with the Korhalian Rebellion, Marshall Raynor built a militia to maintain order in anticipation of what he was sure to be a short civil war, after the Tarsonian Civil War erupted, he swiftly declared martial law over the colony and declared that they would move towards self-government. Has a good relation with the Korhalian and Morian governments.

Lieutenant Sarah Kerrigan: a former military commander of the Colonial Ranger-Corps, she mutinied alongside several battalions, after witnessing war crimes, now serves along side Marshall Jim Raynor, and maintaining order in Dylar.

History of The Region
As overpopulation grew in Europe and North America, several nations organized a colonization project in order to contain the population boom. They loaded 40,000 prisoners on four ships, sending them to the island region of Koprulu. The lead ship, the Nagglfar housed navigation systems, with the other three ships following it.
The Nagglfar landed on the island of Tarsonis. The colonists enjoyed a technological advantage over the people of the other two original colony islands, Moria and Umoja, due to the technology on the lead ship, which contained much technological information from Earth

Even so, it took the Tarsonis colonists sixty years to build second generation seaworthy engines and explore the rest of the region, discovering the other two colonies.
Tarsonis attempted to convince the other two colonies to join in a conglomerate government (they refused) even as its prospectors helped to create seven new colonies within the system, which greatly enhanced its military power. Tarsonis and its colonies formed a government which they called the Tarsonian Confederacy.
The government of the Confederacy came to be dominated by the Old Families, descendents of the commanders of the Nagglfar. The government also included a senate, which was considered corrupt by many of its colonies.

The Guild Wars
The Confederacy came into conflict with Moria as the Morian government believed the Confederates would try to "regulate" its rich mining industry. The Morians founded the Morian Guard in order to protect themselves. The tensions broke into open war, which lasted for seven years. The Guild Wars, as the conflict was called, resulted in bitter defeat for the Morian Guard. The Confederates annexed the Combine's supporting guilds, but allowed the Morians to maintain their independence.
As a result of this war, Umoja formed its own military body, the Umojan Guard, in order to defend itself from the Confederacy.
Since the defeat, Moria has founded new mining colonies and provided the Terran Confederacy with so much money that they are effectively immune to Confederate laws.

Meanwhile, Confederate prospectors founded many new colonies while Confederate enforcement agencies abused the colonists, causing many rebel groups, such as the Colonial Liberation Army, to rise up against the Confederates. These groups were rarely any match for the Confederate forces.

Soon after the end of the Guild Wars, The Confedarcy entered into a war with the Talemetran Empire, resulting in a massive defeat, as Executor Tassadar had wiped out the 3 main armies of Tarsonis, as well as several smaller ones.
It is a common belief that the Korhalian Rebellion would have never succeeded had the Tarsonian military not been so crippled by the war. (Numbers below)

(Emergence of a New power...)
Korhal was one of the core Confederate colonies originally settled by Tarsonian colonists. A colony of affluence and enlightenment, Korhal contributed greatly to the military and technological advancements of the Confederacy.
Although the Confederacy benefited from Korhal's continued productivity, the citizens of the colony resented their forced affiliation with the often-corrupt Confederate Senators. Attempting to retain their independence, the citizenry of Korhal instigated numerous riots against the local Confederate militia.

The Confederates responded in kind and declared martial law throughout the colony. This only seemed to agitate the populous more, escalating the already rampant civil chaos. The Confederates believed that if their most treasured and pampered colony could turn against them, then all of their other colonies might revolt as well. It was decided that the crisis on Korhal would be ended by any means necessary. Korhal would serve as a chilling example to all of the colonies in the Confederacy.

A dynamic Korhalian Senator by the name of Angus Mengsk took it upon himself to formalize the sentiments of his fellow citizens. Their cry for freedom was undeniable when Mengsk actively declared war against the Confederates. Whipping the people of Korhal into a volatile, patriotic frenzy, the Senator succeeded in capturing all the Confederate outposts on Korhal. Issuing statements declaring that the Confederacy no longer held any claim over the colony of Korhal, Mengsk succeeded in garnering the respect and admiration of many other struggling colonies.

The Confederates, seeking to contain the situation, pulled their forces from Korhal. Mengsk and the other leaders of the revolt, believing that they had won their independence, celebrated their victory over the Confederacy. The Confederates; knowing that a perceived loss to Korhal might instigate other colonies to revolt; planned to retake the planet through subtler means.

The Confederates sent three of their deadly assassin corps, known only as Ghosts, to eliminate Mengsk and his supporters on Korhal. The Senator's decapitated body, along with those of his wife and young daughter, was found the next morning on the private balcony of his towering, fortress-like headquarters. Mengsk's head was never found. While the assassination did much to weaken the revolt on Korhal, it also fueled the fires that would eventually forge the greatest enemy the Confederacy would ever know...

Arcturus Mengsk, an accomplished Confederate Prospector and businessman, did not take the news of his family's death well. Having been a Prospector for years, Arcturus knew of the despicable lengths that the Confederacy would go to in an effort to reach its objectives. He was uninterested with greater regional politics and was even alarmed and somewhat embarrassed by the actions of his estranged father on Korhal. He never dreamed, however, that his family would be killed merely to prove a point. Their deaths stirred something inside the young Arcturus, leading him to forsake his promising future and follow a lonely path of vengeance.

Rallying the various militant groups that had followed his father against the Confederates, Arcturus succeeded in fashioning an impressive, yet somewhat ragtag, army. Mengsk's followers struck boldly at various Confederate bases and installations; costing the Confederacy billions of credits in men, machines and equipment. With rumors spreading of a secret alliance between Mengsk's group and the Morian Republic; the Confederate government decided on a final solution to their problem. The majority of the Tarsonian Army would be deployed to the Colony and be “cleansed”. Over 900,000 people were annihilated during the savage attacks.

The news of the genocide reached Mengsk at a secret base located within the borders of the Morian Republic. With nothing left save vengeance, Arcturus and those gathered with him on that sorrowful day pledged a sacred vow to bring down the Confederacy at all costs.

Calling themselves the Sons of Korhal; Arcturus and his renegade team of volunteers had quickly made names for themselves as the most wanted fugitives in the region. Striking silently and swiftly, the Sons of Korhal won countless victories over the Confederacy. But with every battle won in the name of justice, Arcturus was portrayed as a madman and a terrorist by the Confederate-controlled media. Most colonies refused to house or provide services to anyone affiliated with the outlaw group.

Yet, despite seemingly overwhelming odds and scandalous public opinion, Mengsk never gave up the fight against the Confederates. And it finally paid off, wracked by numerous losses and defeats; the Tarsonian Military turned tail, and turned against its own government, resulting in a 3 way civil war. The other colonies were swallowed up between Moria and Korhal, to pay for the damage sustained to the infrastructure. Acclaimed as emperor by his troops, Mengsk overthrew the puppet government installed by the Tarsonians and took power, leading his people to a brighter future…

History of the Talemetran Empire:
The Talemetran Empire arose from a long spanning civil strife, when a warrior known as Savassan, received a vision from the leader of the angelic hosts, the Archangel Michael, telling him of Islam and the prophet Muhammad, Savassan was immediately blessed with angelic powers, and ordered to spread the faith, preferably by peaceful methods.
Savassan “explained” Islam to suit the natural ways of thinking of the Talemetran Tribes, and formed his own branch: Savassai Islam.
After receiving the message, he began to spread the word, and due to the continually worsening conditions, he managed to gain enough followers to build his own army, and with it, he managed to conquer the other disorganized tribes, and forge a mighty nation, however after his death, the role of Lord-Protector was fought over by 2 of his lieutenants: his younger brother Temlaa, and his general Khalinax, the Conclave supported Temlaa over the mighty general and gave him the title of Lord-Protector, after this occurred, a new civil war happened over Khalinax’s warriors, his “Phoenix Guard” and the New Islamic Army, after several triumphs by the NIA, Khalinax was forgiven and given the command of taking back the northern provinces, where the Tarsonians had ruled after the civil war, though he was successful in taking the provinces, he had died in a charge against the center of the Tarsonian army, Temlaa declared a day of mourning, and after a few weeks he had died as well, people said that he had died of a broken heart, as despite the war, he and Khalinax had been good friends. After his death, the Conclave had taken power; switching it from a warring assembly of tribes to a unified, caste-based system. Under the new rule, tribes were merely a mark of common ancestry, and had little bearing on their place in society--although certain tribes often produced children with a well-defined talent for certain occupations that their ancestral tribesman had excelled at.

Social and Military System of Talemetros:
Talemetran Military Forces:
1. Ranger Corps: They are a branch of the Army, and serve as the Conclave’s personal guard, and comprise 7% of the Army.
2. Army: They are the regular troops, and comprise 93% of the Army.
3. Khalai Corps: responsible for the supporting of the main military force, by building defenses and armaments, as well as providing supplies to the military, responsible for the health of Talemetran warriors.
4. Intelligence Corps: designed to prevent heresies and rebellions, to protect the Empire from outside threats.
5. Armada: The Naval branch of the Talemetran Military, designated duties: protecting naval waters, engaging enemy navies, supportive role in land warfare. Comprises 89%
6. Marine Corps: Branch of the Armada, serve as elite forces, comprises 11% of the Armada.
The Caste System:
The Judicator caste:
(The Path of Leadership)
Since the formation of the Khala and end of the Aeon of Strife, the Judicator caste has led the Empire faithfully. They lead with strength, courage, and unquestionable control. To question the Judicator is to question the virtue of the Empire, which is sacrilegious to the Talemetran and a crime of high treason, often resulting in execution. The Judicator caste rules through the Conclave, which is a collection of the oldest and wisest members of their caste. The Conclave fills the role of Head of State, Parliament, and Supreme Court of a country.

The Khalai Caste:
(The Path of Support)
As ordered by the Conclave; the Khalai represent the largest, most skilled, but least powerful of all the castes. The Khalai caste represents the entire population that is not in the Judicator or Templar castes, they are the engineers, scientists, teachers, farmers, construction works, and doctors for the Empire, just to name a few of their roles in Talemetran society.

The Templar Caste:
(The Path of the Warrior)
The Templar caste was created to protect the Empire following the end of the Aeon of Strife. During the centuries since the creation of the Empire, they have served honorably fighting against the confederates on more than one occasion.

The Dark Templar:
(Path of the Shadows)
The Dark Templars are the dirty little secret of the Imperial Conclave. At the end of Aeon of Strife, when most of the Empire was embracing the Conclave, some tribes did not want to put their future in the hands of the Conclave. While Khas had no problem with these tribes, future Conclaves viewed any dissent from the Empire as sacrilegious and they isolated the tribes from the rest of the population.
Luckily though an agreement had been brokered: in exchange for tolerance and well allowance to continue their arts in secret, they would wield them at the direction of the Conclave, sadly many of the Dark Templar believe that due to their powerful mastery of the shadows, they should rule the empire, not serve it

Neighbors of Talemetros (who will enter in any RPs i make):
Umoja: an isolationist religious nation, Umoja was paid very little attention by the Tarsonian Confedarcy, due to the continuous rebellions in their colonies, and the massive war they had waged with the Talemetran Empire at the time, after the Korhalian Rebellion, Umoja decided to tip Tarsonis into collapse, their idea: drop a nuke, the nuke did much to cripple the economy of the Confedarcy, allowing it to take a large share of the regional market Its head of state is the Prince-Cardinal. Its capital is Umojan City, with its main military base at Jacksonville.

Moria: a rich industrial state, and run as a parliamentary republic. Before the Korhalian Rebellion, Moria was forced to pay protection to the Tarsonian Confedarcy, in exchange for not being conquered. After the war, Moria utilized its vast resources, and forged an alliance with the republic of Korhal, as well expanding its meager military forces, becoming a force to be reckoned with; it controls a former colony of Tarsonis: Braxis, a mineral rich province to the north, where much of Morian revenue comes from. Its head of state is the Premier. Its capital is Sarengo, with its main military base at Argo.

Tarsonis: a powerful military state, Tarsonis used to be the local power, enforcing its wishes with its large military, which drew its ranks from the vast penal system, as Tarsonis had a massive gap between the 11% rich, and the 89% poor, who either worked in the massive factories or the military, however the Korhalian Rebellion, and the coup by General Edmund Duke afterward, threw the nation into disarray, with multiple organizations attempting to take power. As of 2008 General Edmund Duke controls the capital New Gettysburg, and the provinces surrounding it, making him the most dominant leader in the former republic. The other large organizations being: the Confederate Remnant and the Holy Church of Tarsonis. Its former ruling body was the Senate, which was controlled by the Old Families. Tarsonis used to control a number of colonies: Braxis, Korhal, the Antigan Islands, and Dylar

Holy Church of Tarsonis: Catholic Church, largest organization, due to religiousness and promise of health care, controls much of the Army, and has support from Umoja
New Confederacy: led by General Duke, has the support of the Republican Guard and portions of the Army, controls the capital and its industrial complexes.

Korhal: an Empire, Korhal was previously a colony of the Confedarcy of Tarsonis, led by Angus Mengsk, the colonial governor, they successfully revolted, declaring a new republic, one that would give full consideration to the people, the rebel militia: the Sons of Korhal, was formed into the national security force, Angus Mengsk was however assassinated by the Confederacy as a last ditch effort, after the outbreak of mourning, his son, Arcturus Mengsk took power and declared himself emperor. Its capital is Augustgrad, with its main military base at the former capital of Styrling. It controls a former colony of Tarsonis: the Antigan Islands, a verdant green paradise, where much of the food stuffs are grown. Its head of state is Emperor.

Dylar: A former colony of the Tarsonian Confedarcy, only recently formed, was an mainly a mining and farming colony, that fed the massive population of New Gettysburg, after the Civil War, Marshal Raynor instituted martial law, and began undertaking movement to self government, while building up a militia to maintain order. Only time will tell, of what may arise. The Capital city of Dylar is New Washington, and its main military base is at the former capital of New Dallas.
