The Oircháetas district at dusk
Due to the increase in the polarization of Europa Atlantica between the New Oslo Pact (NOP) and the Atlantican Union (AU) the Republic and several other neutral Atlantican nations have agreed to meet in the capital to discuss the formation of an alliance for regional peace.
Kennyopolis – The nations of ----Kenny----, Beatus, and Corbournne will be meeting at Árus an Uachtaráin over the next several days to discuss the tense situation in Europa Atlantica and an appeal to peace. The Foreign Ministry has announced that there is a chance of the formation of a neutral alliance. This has gotten a more positive support among the people, whereas joined either of the two major alliances has been met with stiff opposition and unpopularity.
Security has been boosted greatly in preparation for the arrival of the foreign delegates. The fear of an attack is highly unlikely, but the same if not more precaution is taking effect. The police are already trying to control protests in the capital, which for the most part have been under control. Police offices from nearby cities have been called on to help boost security.
The public reaction varies greatly with many still feeling this will interfere with the Republic’s neutrality, others feel it is a step in the right direction. “It’s about time we start taking an active role in the region, the nation needs more of a presence as a peacekeeper.” says pedestrian Anita Hill. Others were not as optimistic: “Get these foreigners out, this will only lead to wars or some arms race, we’ve been quite fine since independence and we need to stick with the status quo!” yells protester John Lane from behind the police barricade and waving a sign saying “KENNYIAN NEUTRALITY FTW!!!”.

Árus an Uachtaráin
9:10 AM
President Mark Velo was in his office reading over his itenerary for the day. He didn't mind conferences, but was no fan of them either. One of his secretaries, Susan Brooks entered his office.
"Mr. President, the conference room is ready."
"Very good, is there any word on the arrival of the delegates?"
"None yet, although they should be quite close by now, sir."
"Thank you, Ms. Brooks."
Sara departed from the office to help with preparations
The President went back to looking over his papers and the daily retinue
[ooc: For the sake of progress please skip forward to the arrival at the President's home.]
