The secertary of the President of Bedouin Raiders walks into his leaders office.
"What is it?"
"A report from First International Airport. General Erhard Zhukov was asasinated."
"What?"
"Reports are scketchy but they suggest that an unkown special forces group landed at the hangar in helicopters. As the general was getting off of the plane they attacked and killed him. The guards were able to kill all of the attackers."
"Who did it?"
"We do not know"
"Call a meeting of the cabinet in the command bunker."

7:46 P.M.
"We must find out who did this and retaliate." thundered the minister of defense.
"We are all in favor of this." said the president. "We shall announce what has happened and we shall see if the agressor takes responsibility. In the mean time all forces are to go to high alert and all reserves are to be called up and put at medium state of alert."

8:02 P.M.
As seen on CNN throughout the world:
"Bedouin Raiders will not stand for such an act of agression. Those who attack us will be hunted down and taken care of. If you are the attacker don't be cowards and hide. Fight like men!"

To all naitons that care to listen:
Bedouin Raiders in on the verge of collapse due to insurgents beginning a revolt at the same time as massive protests for the governement not taking action against the attackers. Our military is being deployed to the streets. to all of our neighboors who wish to keep stability, please help. We will not due what black imperium did to us.

GRIFFITH-II sat in his massive office chair, which was essentially a black leather throne on wheels. He was waiting for a reply from the Commander of the Special Tactics Force, Heinrich Slaag.

Eventually the walnut doors to the Grand Commander's office opened, and a man strode in. He was clad in black S.T.F. Armor, the bottom of a trench coat hanging from his torso armor. A 3-foot long horsehair protruded from his WWII German-style helmet. The horsehair was neon blue at the bottom, but started blackening at the center of the horsehair, making the tips pure black. A gas mask covered his face, the red eagle-eyes showing the pure hatred and anger bottled up inside every Special Tactics Force Agent. This man was Heinrich Slaag.

"Mission accomplished, My Leige," he said, after taking off all of his headgear. "We lost the team, but the Raiders still don't know what hit them."

"Excellent, Commander," replied Grand Commander GRIFFITH-II from behind his desk. "Now, they've claimed that we must fight like men. Intelligence shows we have a high chance of a successful invasion, but the international community would come charging in with their Liberal Nicey Nice politics. However, our operation will still continue. We can use the recent attempt at gassing the Black Imperium, as well as the recent Anarchy, as a reason for a regime change in the area. Plus, we've got some allies we can look to."

ANNOUNCEMENT TO THE WORLD, FROM THE OFFICE OF GRIFFITH-II

Surely it has come to your ears that the Bedouin Raiders are in a state of Anarchy. It is one Duty of the Grand World Order to ensure that nobody goes without government. Not only this, but the Bedouin's current government, while struggling, attempted to wipe out the nation of The Black Imperium, posing as peacekeeping forces before beginning their invasion. And yes, we're aware that the Black Imperium shortly turned on all aid forces sent to them. I ask you all to aid us in bringing order to the area. Whether you aid us or not, we WILL bring stability to this country. This is a Police Action, or, in harsher terms, and Invasion. This Invasion is indeed justified, and must be carried out in the name of civilization. -GRIFFITH-II, Grand Commander of the Fascist Federation of the Grand World Order.

Move all forces back to the defensive lines out side the cities. You are to use all means necasary to stop these insulant people that killed General Zhukov. You are authorized to use chemical weapons on the the enemy. You will recieve the full support of the people and the air force. We have sent you all of the enemy citizens in our country. "The president wants computer generated images of troops and tanks moving to the front by the thousands. He also said to have images of reservists being called up and a recruitment office over flowing."

"CNN has recieved an anonomys tip that suggests the Bedouins all over the nation are joining the military and reservists are reporting by the millions. Here is some new footage we recieved of Bedouin troops. Looks like they are gearing up for a war."

"All goes according to plan Mr. President"

"We have just received a report that Khalid Johnston, the leader of that rebel army, is asking for help in bringing down the Bedouin Soldiers."
"Very well. Send an encrypted message to Khalid Johnston that we will join his fight! Also cancel my 2:30 PM meeting. Oh and one more thing. What is the status of General gandly? Is he out of the hospital yet?"
"Yes Sir."
"Good. I want him to lead this operation. Also, in the message to Khalid Johnston inform him that I would like to meet him face to face."
"Very good Sir!"
"Your dismissed!" Said Lord Ragan II as he waived the assistant out of the room. He went over to his big oak desk and picked up the phone. He dialed General Gandly's phone number!
"Hello?"
"Greetings, This is Lord Ragan II."
"OH! Hello sir. How are you?"
"good thanks. Now i'm going to get right down to business. I want you to prepare 4 Flash-units (Military Units consisting of 250 soldiers that can be ready to fight in under three minutes at any given time) for war. Put them on high alert. Oh. Also, I want the whole nation brought to Defcon 1. And start preping all available military units!"
"Right away sir" Click. Lord Ragan II hung up on the general.

As Lord Ragan II sat alone in his huge office he said "I love the smell of war in the morning!"

MP-MH-3, Magna Polis, Capital of The Grand World Order,

The order had been sent down for the Invasion to begin. MP-MH-3, which meant Magna Polis-Military Harbor-3, was one of 5 harbors of Magna Polis where troops were loading up. 10 more harbors were still open for Civilian Use. The amount of ports was possible because Magna Polis is an aritificial island, with several islets around it. The only real land was a small isle in the center, which served as the foundation of the Spire.

In MP-MH-3, military transport and Amphibious Assault ships dotted the harbor. Perfect formations of soldiers paraded down the streets of the Sector, heading for the docks. Civilians watched from the sidewalks, seperated from the troops by Magna Polis Civilian Control Officers and Federal Guardsmen. First the Marines that were to be deployed marched through, with the proud-sounding Marine War March playing from the Propaganda Speakers of the city, and the Marine Symbol shown on the Propaganda Screens. After this, the Army proudly took it's place in the parade, and the Marine War March and symbols were replaced with the grandeur of the Army Hymn, and the red symbol of the Army.

After these troops paraded into their respective cargo ships on the docks, a smaller group of soldiers proceeded. They had their right hands pointed upwards, close to their bodies, and barely above their right shoulders. This was much like Hitler's salute (Not the generic Nazi one, Hitler had his own special version). Their uniforms were stark black, their gas masks having red lens shaped like evil eyes. Their helmets were based off the German 1940's helmets. The new song that was playing was simply known as "The Grand Commander's Anthem". The song was a sinister, angry march. These men were Special Tactics Force Agents, as identified by the white "S.T.F." printed on the fronts and backs of their cuirasses. Each one of these men were violently insane, and spent their entire lives training for combat. They were the surviving batch of one year's production of S.T.F. clones. 250 out of 15,000. The others had all been killed as a part of training in a live-fire "Wargame" taking place in a bombed out city.

This was happening in every Military Port in Magna Polis. In Continential State Capitols, the S.T.F. Agents were replaced by the State Militia. A total of 600,000 troops were to be deployed as a first wave against the Bedouins. The entire invasion fleet would be led by the Semi-Flagship FWS Sword of Mars.

((OOC: You're in East Africa, correct? The Bedouins are an actual African Ethnic Group in Northeastern Africa. Do you have a map? If not, can you describe the general area? Or is it essentially a recreation of the area of Africa bordering the Red Sea?))

OCC: whoever had the rocket troops seemed a bit close to pushing it as i see it cuz no one has jet pack enabled troops.

My nation has a little over 300,000,000 people with every male ages 12-35 either active or in the reserves and that is based on decisoions i made on nation states.

I figure about 10 mil active total from all of my branches as that is only about 3% of my pop.

when i say a class of soemthing it doesn't mean it is that just that it has the capabilities of the class mentioned and each ship has the biggest possible crew so that i am not have hundreds of ships with skelton crews

Bedoiun military is nuclear and chemical capable. we do not use bio weaposn as we see them as inhumane.

Anyways, here's a breakdown of my military as a whole. Military Service is highly encouraged, and juvenile offenders are forced into the military. The Government uses Cloning to bolster numbers. Each clone is made from a randomly selected mass murderer, because it's believed that any mental oddities caused by developmental or genetic oddities will carry on. Those who aren't born insane are driven to insanity. For 20 years, each clone is filled with combat training and propaganda. The population can support about 35 million Active soldiers. S.T.F. Agents actually kill their fellow recruits to get promoted. Military equipment is produced by Prison Assembly Lines/Labor Camps, and only time spent building counts towards one's sentence. Those that purposefully mess up building equipment are killed and left to rot in their cell until a new prisoner comes to take it.

Lord Ragan II hit the buzzer about 5 times calling for his assistant then finaly picked up his huge THE COMPLETE TALENTIAN DICTIONARY and threw it at the big oak doors to his office. BOOM! It rattled the whole office and with that the assistant came running in!

"Well out with it! Oh forget it you worthless piece of ****! Have we got a response from that rebel group yet?"

"If you ever......ever.....delay in getting your sorry butt in my office again.....You might just go "POOF" and disapear into thin air. Got that?"
"Yes S-S-Sir."
"Good. NOW GET OUT OF MY OFFICE!"

Lord Ragan II reached for the phone and dialed General Gandly once again.
"Hello?"
"Greetings, Lord Ragan II here. Get ready. We are moving out. NOW."
"You mean we are invading RIGHT NOW?!"
"Was I not clear? YES OF COURSE WE ARE!"

The Next Day At A Secret Military Mase on The Talentay Border.

Aprox 1,000 soldiers were being loaded into the back of a two cargo planes, 500 into each. They were too jump off and parachute down. They were all armed body armor and gas masks and modified rifles that shot darts. The darts were actualy self injecting vials that contained Virus 165 (A newly developed virus that attacked the spinal cord and perminantly disabled the enemy)

((OOC: Talentay, you can't RP Bedouin's forces, nor can you simply fly a plane into their airspace and back out without giving them a chance to intercept the flight.))

Magna Polis,

"Admiral, you are clear for departure. May Victory smile upon you again," said a radio aboard the FWS Sword of Mars. Green Status was given to every ship assigned to the invasion of Bedouin. Ships pulled away from the harbors as citizens waved to the troops, wishing them luck in their conquest, while others were crying for their loved ones. The ships prowled out of the harbors, and some boats came as close as the law would permit, waving Federation flags and cheering on the troops. However, there was that bad batch of people who tried to throw rocks at the soldiers on the ships. Even a few Molotovs were thrown, but anyone who tried to harm those on board of the ships were quickly arrested, beaten, and prepared for sentencing to Forced Labor Camps.

The ships began their long journey to Bedouin, passing the Magna Polis Defence Fleet. As Magna Polis disappeared over the horizon, troops began situating into their ships. Troops began finding bunks, friends from their units, and their Officers. The ships with S.T.F. Agents aboard were frightfully silent. The moment the Agents got on board of any of the ships, they quietly made their way to a random bunk and settled. Chances were, they would avoid any contact with the crew or the Marines guarding the ship. Chances were, those people would avoid the S.T.F. Agents as well.

here's my military breakdown.

though my nation is small everyone of my citizens is fanatically indoctrinated from birth. 50% of the population is active duty whilst the other 15% is militia "minutemen". my military is mainly infantry and specializes in Special Operations and everyone is trained in guerilla/insurgent warfare. all the officers are trained in political science and know the languages of all of R.U.N's neighbors. in short, they are a bit like Spartans.

((OOC: A 90% Active Duty Percentage would mean your economy would be severely ruined. The most a nation is supposed to have during non-alert times is 5% or lower, with Emergency Status at 10-15%.

Federation Civilian Militia, forgot to mention it. It's a government authorized group of armed civilians (Most civilians are armed anyways) who only wish to defend the GWO if it's attacked. They are mainly infantry, though donations and a little government funding has gotten them helicopters and a few tanks ranging from M1A2s to Pattons and Shermans. However, the basic Militia member is about equivalent to a US Soldier during the Vietnam War, equipment-wise. They use whatever weapons they can get, ranging from AK-47s to MP5s and M-16s.))

occ: the us airforce has more f-15's and 16's then that. they had to have more than that to fight the soviets.
one of my leading areas is arms manufacture and if i had less fighters all that would mean is more ground troops becvaus emy pilots and the ground crews would be soldeirs now.
i think that we should jsut start a thread with a formula to determine military strength and lay down some rules for force division because i do admit i ahve a lot of fighters. i would have had less if i remembered f-117, b-2's and b-52's

i would have to agree but take this increased awareness a step farther. i think its time to physically "Help" the Bediouin Revolution. I would like Alpha Squad to sneak onto a trade barge to Bediouin Raiders. They are not to physically meet with this "Bediouin Scimitar" but commit acts of "Terrorism" in order to accelerate the events already in motion.

"I will be breif. During Ragan I's regin soem of your people suffered greatly so they fled to Bedouin Raiders. My father was among these. The Bedouins took us in, trained us and gave us WMD. We have returned to your country with our weapons of mass destruction. We have weapons in your ten largest cities. All we want is for you to make peace with the Bedouins, allow us to come back peacefully, and allow us to participate equally in your governemnt. Something Ragan I did not do. You have one hour to make yoru decision. If you do not agree within an hour all of the weapons will be detonated and the Bedouins will invade. They will pay no attention to the other nations. Just you. As you amy ahve figured out by now, all of the revolts and the assination of the general were all hoaxes meant to help us with our goal. While they did try to assisinate Zhukov they got his body double. I will wait for your response."

International Waters just outside of Bedouin Territory;

"Sir, we're almost ready to enter Bedouin Territory. We just are waiting on a readout of defensive forces on the shore. Initializing Sattelite feed," said one of the men manning the electronics center of the FWS Sword of Mars. The larger, more important ships, as well as the unarmed ones, were towards the center, with the smaller ships forming the outer line. Every ship began preparing for combat. Missiles, rockets, and shells loaded with Cesium were prepared for the upcoming battle with Bedouin's Navy. Pilots began sitting in their planes, ready to start up and take off at a moment's notice. Crop dusters aboard the Mothball carriers were filled with Cesium powder. The Torpedo Boats departed from their mother ships.

((OOC: Could you tell me the Naval units in the area, as well as the defending forces on the shore?))

OCC: Mine kind of is screwed up too. This is why I think we should come up with a formula for all RP's that will give an ORBAT we can use.

All shore defenses are anti-air. Patriot missles batteries with overlapping fields of fire.

"Sir, radar shows 119 naval vessels within range. Sattelite feed is showing mainly anti-air defences on the shore, some missile batteries. We're going to take losses, but outcome still looks heavily in our favor," continued the electronics operator.

"Take 'em."

With this simple order from the Admiral, each ship in the fleet aimed their deadly arsenals at different ships, with land-bombardment weapons pointed at the anti air and Patriot batteries. Radar jammers were activated. "Initiate combat in 10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1..."

As soon as the countdown was complete, the ships nearly simultaneously fired hordes of missiles and torpedoes, with larger ships being prioritized. Some ships launched incendiary weaponry to the decks of the aircraft carriers. The Aircraft carriers of the GWO fleet became chaotic as planes hurried off of their runways. The crop dusters, escorted by fighters, flew low to the water. As soon as they were close enough, they'd dump their highly reactive payloads onto the enemies. Cesium was one of the main anti-ship munitions, as a few mere grams of it reacting with water could easily be compared with a seamine going off.

The torpedo boats got into formations to get ready for their assault on the enemies. Clearly they wouldn't be sent at the beginning of the battle.

Meanwhile, a few Commanches headed for the shores. Apache helicopters accompanied them, but stopped before arriving at the shore. The Commanches, stealth helicopters designed for recon, would paint fortifications for massive Apache raids.

OCC: I will post my casualty report and it will be accurate and I expect the same from you.

"Sir our subs are detecting ships...Sweet Mother of God. A whole fleet. We aren't getting any of this on radar. They are patching it through to us with their sonar. They report that they went to periscope depth and observed aircraft launching."
"Have everything launch an attack on that spot. Have the subs move in with harpoon missles and torpedos, launch all F-18's, ahve the Ticonderoga's launch airburst missles, and have all guns turned on the spot."
"Aye Aye sir."

The missles and aircraft arrive at my fleet but first we launch 29 F-18's with harpoon missles and are flying below radar horizon. 56 Cruise missles are launched but only 20 are airburst missles. The subs get off 8 torpedos and 5 harpoons before they attempt to leave. The guns are turned toward your fleet but fail to fire. The ships however do throw up some chaff with little effect. Shore batteries are never turned on.

"Sir! First go was a success. Reports say about 90 enemy ships sunken. Shit! Counterattack!"

"Have each ship employ counter-missiles, have the boats attack and monitor for subs!"

Another operator quickly shouted amidst the chaos, "We've just lost 9 ships to submarine fire, 2 more are reporting severe damage!"

All but 8 torpedo boats speed towards the Bedouin fleet, bouncing off of the waves. The remaining 8 begin towing sonar bouys, looking for the subs. Only one submarine showed up, the others had escaped. A single anti-submarine helicopter flew over the torpedo boat, dragging it's own bouy. The torpedo boat joined the other sonar-buoy equipped boats in a moving circle around the fleet.

The air units sent to the fleet spotted the Bedouins taking off. F-22s and F-35s quickly began engaging the F-18s, while the crop dusters opened their payload of Cesium onto the Bedouins. As the F-18s caught them offguard, 5 fighters were almost instantly taken with 9 crop dusters.

The ships back at the Fleet began firing hordes of counter-missiles and Metal Storm weapons at the missiles heading for them. Indeed, this was a formidable defence, but every system slips up. A cargo ship filled with Marines was hit directly at the waterline. Along with six Frigates, 3 destroyers, and another cargo ship. The water became filled with Marines and seamen bobbing in the water. Many Marines were sinking into the water, a penalty of their armor. Those that were stronger swimmers or got a hold of a life jacket in time had no worries as lifeboats began fishing them from the water.

The Commanches that headed for shore quickly moved through the air, "lazing" targets which showed up on Apache GPS maps. The Apaches began attacking the shore by storm. The immediate arrival of the helicopters was almost like a locust swarm, but it dispersed as groups split apart to attack different objectives.

A hole opened in the ground revealing a cruise missle. Smoke began billowing out of the whole and the missle was launched.

7 Minutes later:
On the Bedouin coast there is a flash and a large explosion as a small nuclear weapon goes off...
