The National Congregation of The New True Cross has recently released a detailed report on the workings of the political framework of the government. This was part of the new Supreme Elect's policy of openness with both the population and the world.

Supreme Parliament:
Made of members from each region. Each region elects representatives equivalent to its population. The current number of MSP (Members of the Supreme Parliament) is 115.

The Supreme Parliament (SP) has complete legislative powers over The New True Cross. They can enact bills and laws, which must have a 2/3 majority and the approval of the Supreme Elect. They can strike regional laws from the books with a 3/4 majority and the approval of the Supreme Elect. They can raise taxes with a 3/4 majority in the SP, 2/3 majority in the regional Parliaments, 5/8 majority in popular vote and approval of the Supreme Elect.
The MSPs are elected from the regional Parliaments, where they must serve for at least 6 years with distinction as an MP (Member of Parliament) before coming eligible as a candidate for MSPship.

The Parliaments are regional bodies where representatives can debate issues to go before the SP. Each Parliament has complete legislative powers in its region and can enact laws and bills as long as they do not contradict the decisions made by the SP. They participate in the SP during voting for the striking of regional laws, only if they represent the region in question, and for the raising of taxes. They are elected from the general populace.

Supreme Council of Justice:
This court administer law only in crises of national security, war crimes, treaty negation, and sentencing of capital punishment. They have no jury and their decision is unappealable, except by 2/3 majority in the SP with the Supreme Elect's approval.
The 9 Judges are elected, one from each region, from the High Courts, having served a minimum of 6 years with distinction.

High Courts:
These courts operate on a national level to deal with issues that are brought up from the Regional Courts. They are the only court, aside from the Supreme Council of Justice that can sentence a life sentence. They operate in Fort Boston, Concordia, Pilmoth, New Medfield and Pokasset. Every defendant has the right to a jury of their peers, appeal and fair council. The judges are elected from among the Regional Courts after having served a minimum of 6 years with distinction.

Regional Courts:
These courts operate in the capital of each region. They deal with all legal matters, with separate court houses for property, criminal and one for all other cases. They can sentence up to 50 years in prison or transfer the case up to the High Courts. Every defendant has the right to a jury of their peers, appeal and fair council.
