OOC: The story line is pretty much is Kroando owns an island of mine that he took about 3 or 4 NS years ago, or back in October-ish. Well according the the Nationstates website Kroando has ceased to exist and he hasn't posted in over a month, so I am going to have an RP where i take the island back. You can play as the resistance, allies, people who just want to practice killing stuff, or anything you can think of.
also OOC thread (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=551139)
IC:
General Sway stood smoking a Mokan Fine Cigar staring out into the Caribbean Sea. Approximately 100 kilometers out lay the Island of Juventud, an island lost years ago to Kroando. How they lost the island is quite obvious to anyone familiar with dealing with the artic nation. Those people were cold, physically and emotionally, ready to fight and kill, spending their lives under a near fascist rule learning to fight and take what you need to survive. So when a tropical nation intervenes in their affairs, well it was only a matter of time before they came to Mokan shores demanding a war.
It all started on the island of Hexon, when the government of Kroando had gone on a genocidal rampage against its own citizens. From what General Sway knew they had killed everyone of them, declaring them non-humans and therefore an affront to the human race. So the Mokan government had joined with other nations to stop them, and they failed. Official records kept deep in the Bureau of Secret affairs walls showed that they had gotten a team on the ground, who had fought head to head but had to leave once reports came in that the Kroks were on their way to Mokastana. Needless to say the Mokan Navy was not ready for such a threat and fell victim, and the island was lost as payment.
Now as Mokastana expanded to include the regions of Mejico, the Sur regions (Peru, Ecuador, Venezuela, etc), the Islands around the Caribbean Sea, and even some territory in to the north they grew in power. Yet this island stood in the middle of the Mokan Empire, a stamp of past failures, a point showing their weakness, a daily reminder that they have failed. It was a permanent stain on the map of Mokastana as Krok ships went in and out of Mokan waters unchallenged.
But not now, now they would get it back. General Sway looked over the beach; numerous vehicles that years ago would never have even seen a Mokan, now were completely manned by them. Most were of Lyras design, some were domestic, but all were filled with soldiers enraged from seeing Mokan land under rule and abused by another nation. The Island of Juventud was a large tropical training base for Kroando, with over 200,000 men on the island. Not to mention tanks, artillery, planes, guns, and other weapons of war. However Generalissimo Durkin was ready to flatten the island before a single Mokan would even set foot on it.
Further inland LY300 Manticore Multiple Rocket Systems stood prepared to launch the first volley of LY 4045s into any Krok ship that dared to fire off a shot. Flying over the Mokan Island and Florida Bear Bombers were loaded with Raduga Kh-55s to be fired off at a moments notice. The Kraken Fleet and two Air attack Flotillas now surrounded the Island armed to the teeth with Tomahawks and Fighter/bombers. The Lone Overlord Class SuperDreadnaught of the Mokan Fleet was attached with the 4th Air attack to help bombard the island with Firestorm missiles and its own Tomahawks. Along with them missile silos all over the island had been prepped to fire in the event anything went wrong. All military forces were set on DEFCON 2. Today they would reunite the nation to what Mokastana should be…..

All over Mokan Island there were dozens of 10x10 VLS launch platforms, part of the new integrated Main island defense network, along with the hundreds of Harpoon launchers and airfields stocked with fighter/bombers. There were many reason to this, the main one was that Mokan island is holds the Capital, and it is where Mokastana originated before its expansion into the close world. It also held the largest portion of the Mokan industry compared to the rest of the nation. The only region that came close to matching its industry was El Sur, but that was because it was over 30 times the size of the Island, so it had a slight advantage.
However the military might of Mokan Island was now all about to come down on on the Island of Juventud. Modern SkyGuards and older Patriots were guarding the main island against any air attacks, missiles attacks and would be able to launch a missile off right after anything takes off and take it out before it could even try to cause damage.
"Sir, we got a message from Command," Command in this case is the Emergency Situations Bunker in Mokastana City, where all VIPs of the government were currently staying.
"No response from the Island. We are to commence bombardment. The first tomahawks will be off shortly."
The 10x10 tubes around Mokastana were to be emptied via launch into Juventud, guided by satellite and RADAR to specific targets all over the Island. After they were launched most would be reloaded with Lyrasian LY4045 anti-ship missiles for the Island defense. However some would still have Tomahawks, just in case. Now the navy had hundreds of missiles pointed at the island. With two fleets devoted to the taking of the Island it would be the beginning of a horrific battle.....
From the mainland, 3,600 Tomahawk Cruise missiles flew towards the island, While the fleets prepared and launched 1,080 more Tomahawks into the island for a total of 4,680 missiles, roughly 5 missiles for each square mile. Overkill, maybe, but that was the point...

On the Island of Juventud the Military responded calmly and effectively, Los Angeles Class Interceptor Missiles went off as soon as the Islands main missiles were off. Overall 1,200 missiles were fired off to intercept the incoming Tomahawks, this was expected of course. On the main Island of Mokan three Skygaurd divisions were watching the skies and saw the missiles fly off to intercept, being large missiles the Skygaurds managed to target and launch off thier own interceptors against the incoming missiles, 1400 to be exact. Most notable the LY4031 missile, while the Tomahawk has a speed of 880 km/h the LY4031 had a speed of 3600 km/h, and not to mention the fact that overall the three Division had 3,888 of these missiles ready to fire at a moments notice. Needless to say the 4031's quickly caught up and past the Tomahawks and went to work on the 1200 interceptors, hover 127 tomahawks still go shot down. Most of them would make it before the LAC missiles could reload, so that was a good sign, however it was the short range defenses that they would have to worry about. The Island had 500 SDCI launchers totaling 4,000 ready to fire missiles.
There was no way to get the Skygaurd missiles there in time to ensure mass kills, but they had another plan. Over Mokastana 300 Sukhoi Su-34 fighter/bombers were being assembled to launch another attack with Kh-29T, and KAB-1500. Not only that but 200 Bear Bombers were also taking off for use against the island. The Su-34s would target any AA sites still left, while the bombers would destroy the rest. Escorting them would be Sukhoi Su-47s.
No doubt the island was getting its own aircraft in the air.

Very well and thank you for the warm welcome to your nation. To note, we currently do not require any moorings as we were able to meet up with a Scandinvan oil convoy and were able to refuel. However, after three days our ships shall begin going to port to rearm and and such. As well, to note out of respect for your nation our enlisted sailors shall not be allowed to go outside of the naval bases, yet to ask what services are readily aviable at your base as we are willing to pay for goods and services to be brought in order to allow our sailors suitable entertainment during their shore leave when the ships are in dock. As well, would it be alright for the Scandinvan Empire to bring in the specifically designed fuel for our ships?

Whatever your ships require you can bring in, as long as it does not damage Mokan Soil or waters. As for your sailors, Guantanamo Bay is the Main port for the Caribbean Navy, with plentiful means of "entertainment" for sailors. They will be allowed of base if you allow, however they are required to follow all codes of conduct for foreign nationals on military or governmental orders. These rules are general and easily followed, however diplomatic immunity will not be allowed. They can be escorted off base via "tour buses" from the naval station, depending on what "entertainment" they want.
Our largest docks are on the Cayman Islands and Jamaica, over 5 miles wide(open water alone) and is used for superdreadnoughts and the like. The cities around it are specialized for sailors on leave, the police force is ready for anything that can break out and all it is waiting for is foreign sailors.
NOTE: In Mokastana prostitution is legal, along with many low-danger drugs, however usage of said drugs is strictly regulated.

The Tomahawks hit the island hard. Depsite the 4,000 missiles defending the island the at least 880 missiles still crashed into the Island destroying RADAR stations, AA systems, power plants, hangers, control towers, barracks, armories, and many other military targets. The Island was tossed into disarray, however the kroks would not surrender. Despite the rumors of Scandinavian forces on the way and Mokan forces surrounding and cutting them off.
Even with the attacks on the airfields they managed to get off 370 Halcon fighters, to try and intercept the Mokan air force. When they got off sky guard batteries began to launch off responsive missiles, 1110 total. Following these interceptor missiles were the 600 Mokan planes who were to commence bombardment of island. Leading the charge were Su-47s armed with AA missiles, following them were the fighter bombers armed with both AA and air-to-ground missiles. The Bear bombers on the other hand, were armed with Kh-55s, they wouldn't even need to get near the island to fire those off. With a range of over 1,550 miles they could safely fire from above the island and land to reload. With six missiles from each of the 200 Bear bombers it totaled to 1,200 more missiles that could be fired into the island, needless to say all were launched.
Amongst the fleet EA growlers were flying pounding the Island with Jammers and other electronic countermeasures. However the fleets F-35 Lighting IIs were taking off for aerial superiority. Their goal was to take out any areal countermeasures that the Island might pull out, once the AA was gone then they could commence carpet bombing until the Island surrendered.....

OOC: I was starting it as a quickie announcement thread with a little RP if any was interested, but now that we got players this could be good, by the sound of it I will play the Kroando forces on the island.
ok then, how about this, after Mokastana assumes air superiority and destroys the Krok air force and AAs then we will RP the landing and ground conquest. Of course we will send in the mercs first, followed by regular marines and army.
OOC wise, we will start a new thread for that and turn this into the OOC thread to keep it simple and provide a back story as to how we got there. Once again, since I have been researching Krok toys for the past week I will play as them.
IC wise, your Primary goal as mercs is that you have been hired by Generalissimo Canarias to secure the island, Secondary goals include capture of enemy military goods, tanks planes whatever. The more undamaged vehicles you can get off the Island or to the secure parts the more you will get paid. This way we can adopt and revise them for future use....
I find it's better not to tell people what's gonna happen in an RP, makes it more fun and unpredictable.

A tropical paradise. An eden on earth. A green covered wonderland.
Azif spat onto his rickety transport ship. Why wasn't it burning? He cursed under his breath, his baleful eyes staring at the fleets around him. His "army" was no more then 12 crummy transports, a few tick tanks, and two "blowgun" artillery pieces; All around him was wealth and technology.
Maybe he'd get the chance to steal a few things.
His mind returned to the task at hand, and his eyes fell upon his soldiers. The 500 looked more like headhunters, covered in war paint, torn camo, and the bones of old foes. Some of the more tribal members even had a few shrunken heads. Well, 15 years in hell tends to warp the mind, he reflected.
"Warlord!"
His attention snapped to the ships captain. "Yes? Can't you see I'm busy?"
"Well...you were just-"
"SILENCE! Now WHAT do you want?"
"My warlord...where do we dock?" Azif was about to backhand the man, until he looked up and saw just how many military ships were around. The place was flooded with weapons, and what appeared to Azif to be even more mercs.
"Dammit! Looks like this isn't just our contract!" He pulled his spyglass out, a rusted and bent antique. He stared into the sky at the incoming helicopters, looking for insignia. He couldn't find any. "Well...no matter. When we meet them in the jungle I'm sure we'll fix this little problem."
His warriors laughed. Azif's Army were renowned not only for their abilities, but for their savagery as well. "Alright boys, listen up!" The other ships drew near, eager to hear the warlord's words. "Now I know we've been waiting for this, for the chance to kill again, and I will NOT allow this to slip through our fingertips. The more undamaged vehicles or secure parts we can capture on the Island the more we get paid. So, if we see anybody, and I mean ANYBODY else out there with things that could make us a buck, you know what to do."
The warriors cheered and fired their rifles into the air, as the boats kicked into high speed towards the nearest dock.

Two SeaHawk Helicopters spotted the small fleet if you call it that, it was amazing who Mokan High command would hire, but then again, the crazier the better. One of the SeaHawks flew over the fleet and tried to radio to them to meet up with the 2nd Krakan fleet where they can load up onto an Empire class Carrier and get a better insertion then that, one that would keep them alive. Mokan forces had prepared for this day for ages, but just because they knew it was time didn't mean that they werent taking all precautions. Kroks were as tough as they were mean, and just because the island was smoking didnt mean that they weren't preparing to fight tooth and nail for it. Luckily most were trainees. The Mokan attack waited till a fresh batch of recruits made it to the island, so the majority of Krok personell were fresh from the arctic and had only spent a week or two on the tropical island.
This would be fun...

The Chinooks turned and headed for one of the Carriers, intending to land on it;s deck, which they accomplished with no difficulties.
Reynolds stepped from the first Transport and took one look around the deck. To either side of him, men stiff from the cramped ride limped out and tried to get some blood flowing back into their legs. At the same time, they tried to put on their heavy haversacks and keep an eye on their FN FAL's, favoured by the Company for their hitting power and accuracy.
Reynolds was a formidable sight, standing at about 6'3'' and bearing the look of a man who had been fighting for most of his adult life. Indeed, Reynolds (No one knew his first name, they only called him Steel) Had fought for the Alversian Army for well over a decade before taking early retirement and joining the PS Company. He knew the fighting capabilities for these Units better than anyone, He had helped form them.
The Companies themselves were formed of hardened Mercenaries from a variety of social backgrounds and countries stretching across the world. They all had combat experience and all were ready for a good fight and a profitable battle.
Reynolds stalked over to where one of the Flight Crew was talking to a Shipmate, he took one look at the man and sighed
"Where is the leader of this outfit? Admiral Fanshaw?" He asked gruffly.

The flight crew mostly spoke only spanish, like most Mokans, which made it difficult when dealing with other nations. However English was requried for nearly all military personnel so when the man asked about Admiral Franshaw he looked confused but answered none the less.
"Admiral Franshaw is onboard the Mokastana, this is the Conquistador , I think you are looking for Captian Domingo Rivera, he is suppose to meet you."
He pointed to a group of men walking towards the Chinooks and with that the worker went back to getting the F-35 cleaned off and ready for storage, so that the returning F-35s would have a place to land. The group was about five men, all dressed in green fatigues, from the look of it there really was no way to tell the leader apart from the group, but all of the men were strong and armed with a standard JagD pistol at their sides. One of the men walked ahead of the group and opened his hand for a shake with Reynolds.
"Greetings, I am Captain Domingo Rivera, Jaguar Elite Special Operations. You can call me Capt. Rivera or Don if you wish. We have a few hours till anything major happens, come with me, I'll show you to the briefing room."

Reynolds took the offered hand then turned to his men,
"Company Commanders step forward!" He bellowed it so loudly, that he could be heard over one of the distant jets and made a few of his own soldiers jump in shock.
Six men emerged from the mass. Like Reynolds, they were tall, strongly build and wearing green khaki fatigues. Like Reynolds, they also had an FN FAL draped over their shoulder.
"These men command my six Companies" He explained, "If I go, they go"

On Board MFS Carrier Aramis:
"Captain, incoming transmission from the Federation"
"Put it through," said the Captain. He then picked up the phone in the bridge, "Very well sir...yes sir...will do.."
The captain hung up the phone and looked at the helmsman, "Full left rudder...heading 1-2-8 Southeast...3/4 speed. We're heading for Mokastana."
"Aye Captain...full left rudder, heading 1-2-8 Southeast...3/4 speed."
"Page the Spec-Ops teams..we have a new mission," said the Captain to his first officer.
Mission Briefing Room: 30 minutes later...
The Captain stood in front of 18 special trained soldiers. He had a map of the Juventud Island behind him...
"We've received orders 30 minutes ago to head for Juventud island near Mokastana. Apparently the island was taken from Mokastana in a war that happen some years ago. Now, the Mokans are trying to take it back. Nations are already there supporting the reclamation. We've also received information that one of our ally is going to support as well, the nation of Antigr," he sipped his coffee mug, then he continued.
"Our orders are to get there and support the reclamation. You, the 11th Spec-Ops Task Force, will be sent behind the enemy lines and support the allied invasion from there. You guys are in charge of sabotage, rescue, and other methods to try to disable the enemy from the inside"
"This should be interesting..." said Sergeant Ramirez in one of the teams.
"Resistance should be easy, but they are still resistance. They WILL be deadly. With all that said, we will arrive in 2 hours near the island. Your mission is clear and there will be NO CIVILIAN casualty in this operation. I will see you back in 2 hours. As for now, you are dismissed."
After the captain spoke, he sipped his coffee mug again and watched the the 11th Spec-Ops walk out from the room. He took a look at the map for a few moments..then he walked out.

The Mokans on the other hand, only one in the group made it to 6'1", average Mokan height was between 5'8" and 6', in other words, the Mokan race was shorter then the average. Captain Rivera stood at 5'10" facing a man who had 5 inches on him, but was working for him at least.
"Very well, they can come to the meeting as well, its a cafeteria converted to a meeting room. Your men can hang out on deck or go to the rec center will escort. How many men do you have?"

The Briefing:
On screen shows a man of 6'2" tall for a Mokan, but since he is half European decent that is why. The lightly tanned man is standing by a map of the island of Juventud, his black pants and jacket are typical of High ranking naval officers around the world. Another screen being broadcasted out is of the map, a virtual one showing red symbols representing Mokan/allied forces and white symbols showing Kroando forces on a green map.
"Attention Everyone, My name is Primary Admiral Alex Franshaw of the Mokan Navy. This is the briefing on the situation in Juventud. To give you a bit of history Juventud Island was surrendered to Kroando after a Mokan hand was found in trying to stop them from mass murdering civilians on Hexon, another territory they own. We failed and the genocide continued. After the surrender of the Island they transformed it into a giant training center for their army. With 200,000 Kroks going through every month, we estimate around 232,000 enemy personell on the Island. We do not know current causualites from the missile strikes, however we know that they are ready for us. Expect tough resistance, but rockets and artillery from the fleet will be on call, dont be shy to call it in.
Now as you can see most AA is taken care of thanks to Cruise missile strikes and fighter/bombers. However many ground targets are still in working condition and no doubt mobilizing. We have tried to organize a surrender with Grand Marshall Velspar, but he refuses to give up. Therefore we are going in, first with the mercenaries and special ops teams, then once they have laid the ground work we will attack from the south."
The virtual map shows Mokan Red marine symbols moving into the southern beaches while the white symbols pull back into the island.
"This will be the militarized zone, where your forces can retreat if need be. Once the southern front is secure then a paratrooper attack from the north will take most of the surviving military stations such as airports, bunkers and supply depots."

Azif had gotten the radio message, and he was more then happy to ditch the floating deathtraps he had "acquired" earlier. While his men drank to the blood to be spilled in a makeshift camp near the docks, Azif watched the briefing, his most trusted men around him. He was overjoyed to hear the mercs would go in first, after all, it was an opportunity for more "schwag" as his troops called it.
Besides, with all that money, who knows what kind of crazy weapons he might buy. Lost in a day dream of unleashing mustard gas on a city, one of the assembled shook him. "My warlord, where shall we ask to be inserted?"
"In the jungle of course. I want you to radio Mokan command, or whatever the hell its called, and tell 'em to put us in the thickest, wildest jungle." His troops chuckled.
"Homefield advantage, my warlord?"
"Of course. Weapons?"
"Some of the boys at the docks managed to snag 10 flamethrowers, and I mean nice ones. Also one rpg, and a fair amount of ammunition. Few tank rounds as well."
"Will they work with the tick tanks?"
"No my warlord, but they'll make a fine IED." Azif patted the man on the shoulder.
"May the spirits bless you Freeporters. Anything else?"
"A file on Kroando tech, from a stolen palm pilot, my warlord. This is some damn good schwag." Azif looked it over, and the Honvorg Infantry Apparatus caught his eye.
"Show the men all these things, so they know to capture them and not use them for boomables! And if ANYONE comes across one of these suits, they are to be kept for US. Understood?"
"Aye, my warlord." There was a long pause, each of the assembled making his peace to whatever spirits he wished. Azif walked to where the rest of his men were camped, their crude huts covered in fetishes and mojo bags of power.
"Listen up!" The otherwise noisy camp fell silent. Even drunk, they knew better then to ignore Azif. "Now boys, we've been through alot. Some of ya been with me since the beginning. Some of ya we picked up along the way. But one things for certain: your meant to be here. Now, I don't think these Kroks have ever seen a Tabor. Hell, I don't think the Morgs have either. So its time we show em just what the spirit of the Tabor people is made of!"
A cheer rose up, along with more gunfire.
"Now bow your heads!" The soldiers did as they were told, and Azif recited and ancient prayer for battle.
"O' grim gods of battle, empower us this night
Anoint us with the crimson rain, feed our steel with slaughter
Let every blow be a killing blow, grant us victory, or a warrior's death.
Come, moon-fogs, Descend to cloak our numbers,
the heady scent of battle beckons,
My rifle feels good in my hands,
girt 'round with mojo, our flesh gloriously woad anointed,
Ravens awaiting slaughter soar high above,
blood-worms bloat on red carnage."
His men called back in unison.
"Blessed in blood as raven-saters,
slake the thirst of steel burning bright,
Reap the harvest of spilled entrails,
we'll return with many heads this night."
Azif smiled and continued.
"The death-ravening black fury fills me,
The spatter of hot blood sweet on our lips,
The yards of steel singing a deadly song in our grasp." His men called out in unison again, chanting the words.
"And the thirst of the earth shall be slaked
with blood at the fields of carnage
A staggering sea of crimson, a towering mountain of ravaged flesh,
All enraptured by the searing kiss of steel,
All surfeit from supping deep of the grim chalice of battle."
"Brooding gods of the Spiritworld,
display to these outlander thralls thine ire,
Envenom our blades with the death-kiss of a thousand serpents,
Unfetter the dread war-wolves within us,
That their claws may rend, and their jaws may be reddened.
Demons of the north, we raise thine steel to the skies,
Reveling in the pride of our wounds,
Let our victory-song ride the winds of this blood-gorged eve,
For on the night of red swords we will have wrought a legend,
Forged in the fires of our rage,
and tempered with the spilled blood of the slain."
And long last, they chanted together.
"O' grim gods of battle, empower us this night and always,
Anoint us with the crimson rain,
forever feed our steel with slaughter.
Let every blow be a killing blow,
grant us eternal victory, 'til we die a warrior's death."
With the final words, a strong gust came and blew out the campfires. They took it as an omen, and after relaying their wishes to the Mokan command, they all quicky went to their tents.
OOC: Now THATS a victory prayer!

"The men will stay on deck, the sea air will do them good" Reynolds replied as they were led down to the briefing room, "And under my command, I have six Companies of 50 men each, making 300 Mercenaries at my disposal complete with light artillery and Infantry support weapons."
He listened to the briefing in silence, making mental notes on the positions of enemy Armour, troops, and airfields. As the briefing was completed, he held up his hand for the Captain,
"Do we know the quality of troops on the Island? Are they recruits or hardened Veterans?"
Mokastana
04-03-2008, 17:08
"Assume hardened veterans, Kroando forces pride themselves on being some of the best in the world, practically marrying the army and spending their lives becoming the perfect soldier. So expect men who know how to fight, however these men are used to the frigid weather of the arctic, so here we have home field advantage, despite the fact that this is their training ground. Our soldiers are used to the humidity and 90+ temperatures. Yet the Kroks have come up with an answer to that.
As you can see on the screen the Honvorg Infantry Apparatus (http://z14.invisionfree.com/Kroando_Tech_Inc/index.php?showtopic=32), a specaily designed combat suit for war with modern armies. As you can see three levels of amour make up the defense, the outer layer being comprised of ceramic plates woven together with titanium lace, and positioned the shins, thighs, pectorals, stomach, and shoulders. Information from the invasion of Logan and Ky show that this plates can stop a 7.62x51mm round, even our harder hitting 7.62x54mms may have trouble penetrating. Layer 2 is made up of silicon carbide ceramic matrices and laminate circular disks, rumored to be able to stop a 7.62 but no further information is available. This layer covers the chest, stomach, back, thigh, back of the neck, groin and shoulders. The interior layer is more of a comfort suit and temperature control, so this will be like fighting walking fridges.
The helmet is high strength ceramic plate shell. Assume hard to break, however we believe a weakness lies in the eyes, since they are juts optical lenses, that help improve the soldiers sight on the battlefield. Remember, These men live in the antarctic, anywhere they go is better then home, so of course they are going to be experts at war.
On the bright side we have managed to gather about 500 JAM Heavy Machine guns (http://www.theroyalwelsh.org.uk/2bn/2bn_page_images/machine-gun.jpg) for you, these are big and heavy, but they fire a 9x60mm round that should shatter the Krok body armor with ease. It is recommended to use the stand when firing them, for control and accuracy.
If you run into tanks or any ID-57 Decimators (http://z14.invisionfree.com/Kroando_Tech_Inc/index.php?showtopic=1), call in air support ASAP. Not many infantry based AT rounds are effective against those things. However we will have Su-37s and F-35s in the air for your assistance. Not to mention artillery from the fleets. Any other questions?"
A list was sent detailing the ships of the Antigran Grand Fleet;

"If there are no more questions then I shall transfer you to Captain Don Rivera on the MNS Conquistador with further briefing."
The screens flashed black then began to focus in on a darker man, standing at 5'10'', average Mokan hieght, he was well built and wore jungle green camos. On his side there was a patch for the Jaguar Commando Division (JCD), despite the fact he was now part of the Jaguar Elite Special Operations. To compare the two would be like comparing Army rangers vs. Delta Force.
"Behind me you can see the map of Juventud (http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff213/mokastana/attackJuventud.jpg?t=1204668568), We will have three LZ on the south side, your orders are to disrupt the enemy in anyway, have fun with them. The Grey circles are military targets, there is something at each one that Intel has called valuble, the large on to the side, is the former Mokan Navy Headquarters, its been occupied for 4 years, but the Navy would prefer to recapture it as is. The central one is a military checkpoint into the jungle for exercises, while the mass majority of the Northern Island is infrastructure for their training base.
As you can see one LZ is on top of a military target, this target is an artillery station from where counter battery fire can commence on our fleets, whoever lands there must take out that target so the fleets can move in to give you artillery fire. Whichever team moves in here I will join with some Mokan Special Operations units. As you can see next to me..."
the camera zooms out and looks at a team of 10 to 12 men, all of similiar height and build, all dressed in similiar Camo gear and standing at attention.
"These men have served with me for years and will be going back into the fray against these krok cocksuckers. I will be in command of the whole ground operation and will answer directly to Primary Admiral Franshaw. Now let me tell you, I was part of the team that landed on Hexon and we witnessed how effective these people were at mass murder, I personally have been on the receiving end of an ID-57 and let me tell you it is something I never wanted to see again. There troops are great fighters, and these new suits they have will only make em better, but they suck at fighting guerrilla wars. We will have to outsmart them to win and tear apart the southern defenses. From there we will see Mokan Ironhearts roll on the beaches and soon enough the Island will belong to us once again."
Captain Rivera had a flashback to the battles. Sniping Kroks on the radioactive Island so far away. Remembering hearing about how Juventud was lost and the socailist government stepped down and fascist took over, promising never to lose land again. The exile of all socailist soldiers, two years spent in AHSCA, mind you it was a nice place compared to where others soldiers had been exiled to, but now was the day he could finally close the door on the Kroando Chapter of his life and restore Mokastana to what it should be...

Reynolds just nodded in understanding at the intelligence and grinned. That armour may stop normal rifle and pistol ammunition but he thought the modified FAL's would be more than capable of causing them a few problems,
"Where are we needed most?" He asked the Officer, "And will we be in an amphibious landing or airlift?" He would have preferred an airlift but a storming would not be outside his league in anyway. His Companies would be more than able to take any beach even if the entire enemy Army was holding it.

"Artillery positions" Reynolds nodded, already planning out what to do with his men. They had already been involved in numerous jumps and those who hadn't would soon learn. Pax Securia did not provide training, a Mercenary's only training was his experience.
Each Company came with a pair of light 40mm Field guns, designed for nothing more than field support, but he liked the guns and the offer of twelve close support weapons was not something he could turn down.
"Would it be possible to drop our own artillery in as well? they are light enough for a paradrop and they will be invaluable on the ground."

"Depends on the artillery, the operation is set up to have us be mainly spotters for the bombers and naval guns, but if done right i do believe we could figure something out. How do you plan on pulling those things threw the jungle though?"
Captain Rivera new the importance of having artillery on the ground, after all Mokan doctrine was entirely based off the concept of range weapons and commandos. Though during the civil war it rather then commandos it had been traitors who did the spotting, but its all same after a certain point.

"The weapons are small 80mm Field guns" He explained, "They can fire smoke, high explosive, depleted uranium and shrapnel rounds. I feel we will need them for close support in case your flyboys let us down" Reynolds was of the old school that thought each arm of an Army should be able to look after itself and not need support from the others. Azif waited impatiently inside his tent, cooking snake over a fire. He had heard the Kroks would be immune to normal rifle fire, but luckily he had come prepared. the acid rounds he had brought were designed just for such technology. Venom taken from a large swamp-dwelling monitor lizard back had been put into hollow point. When the round hit, the highly acidic venom would begin to burn though the armor, leaving the man with two choices: Take off the armor, become exposed, but save his self....or die a very painful death.
Azif liked those choices.
He had sent his men out to scour the docks for more weapons, and they had managed to steal six more flamethrowers, making Azif really wonder what the Mokans had planned. The rifles were cleaned, and his men were busy adding butter scorpion poison to the oversized bayonets.
The butter snake was so named because its poison turned stung flesh into a yellow goo like substance....and the scorpion itself tasted like butter. Azif sighed, eager to begin the killing, but still unsure of where or when his troops were moving out.

On beach of the small island were these umm, tribal loons, as the locals were calling them, military Humvees pulled up to the camp to meet with the leader. They pulled into the middle of the group and parked three humvees with four men each. The quickly got out, all armed, it was piratically impossible to tell which was the officer because no one had distinguishing markings, one looked around and spoke up:
"We are from Mokan Command, who is in charge here?"

Azif burst out of his tent, his rifle aimed. 'Who challenges my-oh. The Morkans! Finally! Come inside, come inside. Teeththroat, Eye-snatcher, make sure none of their goods go missing." Two large tribals with piercings got up and stood guard over the Humvees, as the rest of the soldiers sighed in unison.
No new vehicles for today.
Azif motioned for them to come inside, and sat them down around an ornate table that appeared to be made from bone. He lit a pipe, and after taking a few puffs from a unknown substance he finally spoke up.
"So gentlemen, whats the story?"

"well comrades, we will be inserting you in the central part of the island. Here you can see the map. You will be inserted in the middle LZ via para drop if you can, if not we can use helicopters. Now as for vehicles, what would you guys need."
map (http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff213/mokastana/attackJuventud.jpg?t=1204692660)
These tribal mercs were messed up, but by the look of it they seemed expendable. To be sure though they were going to give them a chance to prove themselves. Long story short, they were to be given nice toys, and told to have fun. If anyone was to be a distraction and chaotic force, it was them.
"We have Humvees, Ironhearts, and even a few Mi-24 Hinds for your use. Of course the more we give you the less we will pay you, but it will be at highly discounted prices. 1,000 a Hummer, 10,000 a Ironheart, 15,000 a Hind, for the 5 Million we are paying you, plus whatever you recover from the island, you will walk out of here with not only new toys, but a nice paycheck. Hell, we are paying 80,000 for one Kraken II. That should take care of the bill for the other toys."

Azif puffed and stared at the map. "The vehicles would only slow us down. We will harass, demoralize, and terrorize the enemy. To do so we must be fast and have the ability to blend in with the jungle, which is what I hope will be put in. What targets would you prefer, and I'd like to know what exactly is at these locations and what to expect."
"My plans, so far, are simple. I need all 500 soldiers, 6 tanks, and both artillery pieces placed together DEEP in the jungle. My men are simple warriors, and would die if paradropped. If you have the helicopters, that would be fine. Oh, and I assure you the tanks and artillery are light enough to be paradropped. I would prefer this to happen at night."
"I also want to know about any civilians in the area. Are they armed? Are they on our side? If need be I'll raze each and every settlement I come across, but I have a feeling thats not your way."

"No mokans live on this island, we left when it was surrendered. There may be up to 3,000 civilians, but just between us, they are expendable..."
Plausible deniability, these people were crazy, loved to raze and destroy, and would draw a lot less attention then the Penal Corps of the Civil war. If they were caught the government would say they didn't approve, mainly because, they didn't, but certain faction in the army would be willing to look the other way.
"Most of the island is military base, they took it and turned it into a massive training base. therefore we will have to be careful, you will be dropped on the southern beach, as the map shows, central LZ, it is up to you to get into the deep jungle. So if you don't want vehicles then is there anything that we can interest you in, weapon wise? We are willing to supply you with anything you may need, and after this operation we would be more then willing to sell you the same vehicles for the same price. Especially the Hinds, we are trying to get rid of those."
On the soldiers soldier the letters MBSA stood in dark green against the green camos. What the Bureau of Secret Action was doing here, would be revealed in good time.

Azif pondered the offer. "Incendiaries. Flamethrowers. Rockets. And poison gas if you have it, able to be loaded into artillery. The map shows we will be going through swampland...tough for my vehicles. The road could easily become a deathtrap. No, I would prefer the third LZ. The swamp trail would have few, if any, troops to defend it, and we would arrive at Caya Piedra undetected WITH our vehicles." It would be one hell of a trek, but thats how they had fought the revolution. "I would like intel as well. You space cameras can send us pictures, yes? Well, if we could see where the enemy was beforehand, it would ensure our victory.
He placed an ember from his pipe upon the Caya Piedra, flame enveloping it and leaving only a hole where it had once been. "Here we will inspire fear." Azif smiled, his eyes lost in visualizations of the upcoming war.
"Is there anything else I should know?"

"The third LZ is an artillery position that we are attacking, it is the distraction. A large military force will destroy their artillery allowing the fleet to get close and provide massive artillery support along with easier access for then the main force enters. Your force will benefit because the bulk of the enemy army will be heading towards the artillery position, and yes, you will have access to satellite footage and be able to call in artillery from the fleets once they get into postion. In the back of the Humvees, we have radios you can use to call in air support, artillery support or anything.
Your job will to be to blitz up that road and attack the checkpoint so we can cut off the army and trap them on that swamp route you wanted to be on. Then call in a few bombers and wipe out a large force at once.
Now we can supply you Incendiary rounds, flametossers, RPG-29s LAWS rockets, and a few M3 weapon systems, poison gas I'm going to have to say no on. To much international pressure and we've already had a few incidents with that stuff in the past. Anything else you have a question on?"

"What are the weapons that need to be destroyed?" Reynolds was thinking of big guns but he needed to be sure. Big guns meant big defences and he would rather not parachute into an area thinking he was facing peashooters when what he was up against was the momma of all big guns. For the first time, he thought about civilians. Would they be expendable?. That was completely against Reynolds' thinking. "we expect infantry and possibly a few tanks, most of the stationary defenses and bunkers were hit my tomahawks and and the air force. It will be like parachuting into a mess of rubble, or so we hope. UAV photos show they are moving in missile defenses and ground forces in, once they get into position we will launch an air strike and blow most of it to hell. We will do mop up and take out what is left. We don't expect it to be D-day, but we do expect resistance there.
As for the guns they have 12 406mm Field Guns (http://z14.invisionfree.com/Kroando_Tech_Inc/index.php?showtopic=25) there, heavily fortified. The target of the missile strikes earlier today was mostly AA and radar, so that is why these guns are still alive. Once we get airborne we will give you more accurate numbers on the enemy so we have the most up to date info. OK teams, everyone who is to be paradropped in needs to get back on deck of thier respective ships and be flown to the Mokan Island to be loaded into the bear bombers at Guantanamo Air Force base.
One last thing, when dealing with Mokan Soldiers and personnel, be it on the ground or in the battlefield, never ever salute, even on friendly soil.

After the broadcast briefing by the Mokans, Captain Hiroshi turned his attention to the team, "Well...suit up and head for the deck in 20 minutes. From there, 3 Seahawks will be ready for you guys."
He looked around for possible questions from anybody..."Alright, you guys are dismissed. Lieutenant Ramirez..you can take it from here."
"Understood sir," said Ramirez. The 18 men stood up simultaneously and headed outside the door.
--------20 minutes Later------
The 11th Spec-Ops of the Federation were standing in front of Lt. Ramirez on the Aramis Deck. The weather was perfect...it was sunny with a few clouds in the sky. Gentle wind blew as Lt.Ramirez brief the team for the last time. The deck itself was quiet...with the exception of 3 SH-60 Seahawks. Their engines were at idle and ready for take off.
Ramirez's team wore their special unit uniforms (looks like this (http://www.smh.com.au/ffximage/2006/03/24/icon_ghostrecon25_narrowweb__300x388,0.jpg)). Each one of them wore an eyepiece for communication reasons. Their attention were fully on Ramirez.
"...The team will be divided in 3 groups...Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie, which consist of 6 men each. I want a sniper in each team. So the Alpha team will include me, Johnson, Smith, Mason, Roscoe, and Thompson." he paused.
"First Sergeant Sullivan, I want you to command Bravo team. You will take Dorian, Lee, Rightmire, Kim, and Janeway. And as for Charlie team...it will be Tran, Warden, Swanson, Pilz, Rodriguez...with Sergeant Parker in command...With all that said, let's board the 'hawks."
The team headed for their designated Seahawks.
**static**..."11th Spec-Ops team, you guys are cleared for take off."
"Roger that. 11th Ops team away."
The helicopter engines went from idle to full as they took off from the ship's deck. They headed for Guantanamo Air Force Base in the Mokan Island.
"This is Captain Calvin Hiroshi to away team...from here on, you will be commanded by the Mokan captain. So you guys are on your own. Good Luck."

Reynolds always liked to have the procedure for a military campaign wedged firmly in his mind before he moved in to complete the task. Plans that were only half understood always ended in disaster.
Captain Rivera walked with Reynolds to the deck and decided to finish off the details, this man knew what he needed to know. Plans, enemy figures, overall concepts, what support will be available, etc.
"Pretty much, you see when we take out the artillery, or whatever is left, then the Kroks are going to try and come in to stop the invasion. However there is only one main road to the main base and we believe that will be the route they take. Once satillite footage confirms they are on the way we hit em with bombers and tomahawks. We are to fortify, in case they hike through the jungle and launch an attack that way. If they do then we will be on our own until air support gets in, submarines are currently sneaking up to the shore to be ready to launch rockets that can hit in minutes of request.

Guantanamo Air Force Base 2100 hours:
SeaHawks from the fleet were bringing in the specailist from around the world to help in the operation. Some had even brought their own Chinooks a grounds crew member noticed. On the ground Forklifts were loading Kh-55s into the Tupolev-95 Bear Bombers. It seemed each branch of the Mokan army had selected its own country of origin for its Military power and doctrine. The army relied heavily on Lyras for APCs, artillery, tank destroyers, you name it. Generalissimo Canarias was trying to covert the army to a fully functional lyrasian clone it seemed, but the soldiers werent complaining, they were reliable as hell. The navy was definitely based on American designs, while the air force had adopted Russian assets.
The Su-34s were on the ground being loaded with air-to-ground missiles as well as a few R-77s, just in case they managed to get something in the air. The Tupolevs that they would be loaded in were being loaded with KAB-1500s to drop on the airfield and munitions depots once the paras were out.
Quite literally the moments the helicopters landed the soldiers were ordered out and into the Bears that were warming up and getting ready to take off. Crews did their last minute checks as soldiers and mercs raced into the back of the bombers and were told to check their equipment. The artillery pieces that Reynolds brought were the most trouble. The mercs were called over to help secure them into the plane and help ensure that they will parachuted into the area properly. Any excess equipment that they wanted to leave in Mokastana would be stored in an extra barracks while the Chinooks were allowed to refuel and the pilots could hang out until the mission was over.

Reynolds and his 300 Troops were ready for action. It was true that the artillery had been a hassle to load and continued to be a hassle until it had been deployed after the drop. Then it would repay the trouble tenfold. For now, they had to be satisfied with the lumbering weapons. The men were loaded into the helicopters. All they waited now was their supporting troops and they were would be on their way.

The three Seahawks from the Aramis have reached their destination and have landed in the Mokan airbase. The team stepped out from the helicopters...
"..reminds me of that busy airport back home," said sergeant Sullivan, one of the 11th Spec-ops, "..except with guns..."
The airbase was busy and troops from different nations have gathered in one place for preparation. Some soldiers were being loaded to the bombers, some were just waiting. Equipment, too, were being loaded.
"At least we got some firepower," said Lt.Ramirez while glancing at the light artilleries being loaded. He can feel the chill running on the back of his neck as he observe the scene.
The team then headed towards what seems to be Captain Rivera's men.

Guantanamo Air Force Base 2115 hours:
The bombers were taking off into the twilight. The fleet had radioed in that the Growler flights were off and were beginning jamming sequence. This would buy them time. Already most of the SU-34s were off and flying around the base waiting on the bears to go. The first few took off, and began the quick fight to the Island of Juventud. Already another flight team of Bear bombers was up in the air but they were staying over the main island and were going to launch their rockets from there. Above the scene satellite coverage showed Kraken IIs moving to the south of the Island along with G-24 Strikers. No doubt they were anticipating an attack either in the swamp or were preparing to hide and fight in it.
From one of the Empire Class Carriers, the MNS Socialista, Hinds were taking off loaded with Azif and his men. They were to be dropped right in the middle of the swamp and cut it in half. They didn't seem to care so much about the tactics involved as much as killing enemy troops. Judging from the satellite information the Kroks were sending in a spotter team to watch the fleets, it would beat Azif to the LZ, but they could divert a bomber or two to clear off the heavy weapons. The force was small, two ID-57s and three trucks loaded with Infantry. By the looks of it they wanted to fortify the beach before Mokans attacked. To bad.
As the last bear took off captain Rivera, in full para-gear began the final briefing.
"They have twelve 400-something Millimeter guns, all in deep concrete bunkers, quickest way to disarm them is to use some C4 and blow up the action or hammer. Take em out quickly and move on, we can take em apart further once the enemy is cleared. Judging by Infared and Satellite coverage we estimate around 100 to 150 soldiers, many may be in full battle gear, but a lot are just artillery workers. Besides them we see 10 ID-57s and three Kraken twos, 10 G-24 Strikers and some light vehicles. When we parachute in anything that tries to shoot us will be hit by our friendly SUs outside. Worse comes to worse, well lets just hope the fly boys do their job. We will land near the swamps to the north of the artillery, all defenses are pointing into the sea and that will give us a major advantage, assuming that we don't lost anyone in the marshes."
Sounds came from the front of the plane, machine moving, doors opening, and the rumble of rockets taking off near the plane....
"sounds like we are getting close, they are launching the opening moves. Remember once we clear the south side the main force will move in. Capture of this road to the military checkpoint is vital."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
The middle LZ had troops unloading from the trucks as the Decimators looked out into the sea. Planes raced up to them, from far off, followed by helicopters. They radioed in that Helicopters were inbound, Hinds, and began to unload their massive 30mm Gatling Guns into the sky, but the F-35s launched GBU-12s into the mess, blowing up the decimators and massive amounts of infantry. Leaving the Hind Pilots to begin the mass murder via cannon fire and rockets. Using covering fire some would lower and allow the tribal worriers to jump out and join in the fight, the battle had begun.
---------------------------------------------------------------
The soldiers on the Bear bombers were in position to jump, the back door had opened and the green light was a go. The Mokan Spec Ops were the first out, execpt for Rivera, who was standing in the door commanding the jump:
"GO GO GO!!!' he tried to scream over the roaring wind and engines.

Over Juventud Island:
Ramirez's team is anxious and excited at the same time. They have never parachuted themselves in the middle of enemy lines as a team. They were often landed by helicopters before. Some explosions and guns can be heard faintly outside the plane. They were close to their LZ. Ramirez stood up and faced his team.
"Alright guys, remember we are here to support Rivera's team and we will work with them until further orders. Keep in mind resistance will not be easy so think before you act...and don't get yourself killed by being stupid. I don't want any casualties at all in this whole operation. When anything happens, we will contact each other via radio..."
Outside, he can see Rivera's men already dropping from their plane...Then the green light went on.
"This is it!" yelled Ramirez,"Let's MOVE!!"
One by one, the 11th spec-ops team stepped out of the plane and fell towards the ground. Ramirez was the last one to drop. The Reclamation of Juventud have started.

Azif grinned, the speeding choppers carrying his men to the island like ghosts. Below him his tanks and artillery pieces were landing, and his eyes widened as the beach got closer and closer. Clutching his rifle he screamed.
"Spirit of the Earth, remember!"
One by one they jumped out, to accompanying gunfire from Krok soldiers on the beach. Dammit! Azif knew the beach would be a deathtrap. Their rifles were now match, but as the flamethrowers moved to the front gouts of flame licked across the Krok armor, cooking them from inside. RPG's and grenades rained from everywhere as 500 men stood against their technologically superior foes.
The tanks began firing on the infantry, easily navigating the sandy beach, while the artillery was simply shielded. Quite a few troops were dropping, but Azif knew as soon as they reached the swamp, all would be fine. The troops that had no "special weapons" tried to flank the Krok defenders, appearing to run madly into the swamp. within minutes however they would curve back around, their blades ready to dig deep into Krok flesh.
Like a semi-circle of death, the Tabor would envelop the Kroks and cut off all retreat.

LZ two, beachhead:
Krok soldiers raced to avoid getting mowed down by cannon fire as the Hinds covered their fellow pilots as they dropped ground troops into the battle. No doubt this one would be over quick, but still give them a taste of combat. Many Kroks fired their K1s at the Hinds causing minimum damage but still enough to make them pull back for a minute so the mercs could be dropped safely. Those on the ground though had the joys of being the first to fight the Kroandan soldiers. One soldier aimed and fired at a group of tribesmen and watched as two went down as more ran into the jungle, this was an invasion force. The captain yelled into his mike:
"Get us some troops here now, we are under invasion!"
"Copy that, fall back and get to planned defensive position"
"Come on men, fall back!"
Radio recivers all over the beaches gave the same order to every soldier. Soon they were walking backwards firing on these crazy mercs back into the swamp. These men were crazy, despite the fact the K1 rifle had superior range advantage they would still charge with flamethrowers, some got lucky and cooked a krok or two, but most didn't.
The Captain took a few bullets to the chest and turned his rifle to kill the man who shot and double tapped him and continued fighting. He looked over at other soldiers trying to tear off their armor and yelled via mike: "What the hell are you doing?"
"Acid in the bullets!"
He looked down and saw his own armor being eaten by acidic materials, it seemed that these tribal worriers had brains after all.
"Shit, they're firing acid at us. Don't get hit. toss a Spinner at those fuckers."
With that order a soldier tossed a EastCHN hand grenade into the fray and watched as it spun and shot fire and acid in every direction.

Captain Rivera Jumped and watched as the ground raced up at him, parachutes were all around. From the site of the battle a few ID-57s were firing into the shoots, but the F-35s from the fleet were doing there best to keep those things at bay. He opened his chute and checked his rifle, it was a standard AM-07 with 7.62x54mm rounds. No doubt he would need to put a whole lot of em into a krok soldier, luckily he and his men were given drum clips, so they could. However once they got in and captured K1s they were suppose to use those against the kroks.
He could see the artillery cannons already the air force had destroyed 5 of the 12. That was good news. On the ground he watched as commando forces who had already landed were combating the Krok soldiers it looked like the Kroks were dug in and doing a good job of staying where they were. That wasn't good. He was getting close, and it was risky, but he decided to fly over the Krok Trench and drop two grenades in there. For as advance as war was it seemed the luck was still a major factor, one completely missed as the other landed right behind two who didnt even notice until they were in the air.
Suddenly bullets sprayed up at him, tearing his shoot and hitting him in the soldier. he aimed his rifle back and fired. Trying to hit something, but the ground raced up at him and he crashed into a crater made by a previous bomb. Lossing blood and about to be dragged off he dropped the rifle and cut himself from his shoot and tried to stay hidden, two bullets had found there mark, this was not good.

Reynolds and his men had got down virtually without a scratch. Their landing had taken the enemy by surprise. Of course, that meant the Commando's following up had the enemy's full attention and that was what was happening now. The Mercenaries were down and now they fired from cover at the Krok positions. They were now scattered across a wide enough area not to be vulnerable to ground attacks and they were concealed behind a variety of trees, stumps and depressions, only occasional popping up to let off a burst of automatic fire before ducking again.
Their FAL's were firing an armour piercing .50 calibre bullet, designed and produced specifically for Pax Securia and standard issue throughout it's companies. The Mercenary Corporation had a lot of influence in Alversia.
"Sanderson! Move two men along the left flank and set up a crossfire!" Reynolds shouted over the clatter of automatic fire and the whistling of bullets flying over his position. One of the Company Commanders saluted and headed off into the undergrowth, running in a crouched position. Reynolds took a grenade from his belt and pulled the pin as he roared,
"Grenade!"
He counted to two then hurled the device over his shoulder at the Krok position as the Squad Machine beside and behind his position gave a long rattle of rapid automatic fire, rustling the bushes in front of it and creating the sound of fabric tearing.

Rivera was dazed, confused and bleeding, he hoped someone would find him before this wound got worse. Out of all the ways to die, liberating Juventud would be the most honorable, now if only he had died killing massive amounts of Kroks, and not getting shot full of holes before he hit the ground....please someone find me
Other Jaguar Commandos had landed mainly in the open area and began open fire with Krok soldiers. Their 7.62x54mm rounds knocked Kroks back and shattered amour, but they still lived. Luckily, though crates were also pushed down, containing the 9x60mm guns that they needed. Those commandos who got close enough to them quickly broke off the seals, and pulled out pre-loaded JAM light machine guns. The battle was getting more even. Using belt feed shoulder strapped guns they fired into the advancing kroks and quickly tore through their armor.
near the marshes two Krok platoons worked together to try and secure a decent line against the Alversian troops, they seemed like skilled soldiers, hiding and for the most part not taking hits. two soldiers stayed ducked in a trench and fired between enemy burst, already they figured out the enemy was using .50 cals, It seemed that the body amour was being more of a hassle then it was worth.
"Toss a spinner into the marshes!"
their radios yelled, a Sergeant had taken command of the battle once the Lut. had gone down. With that they pulled out two grenades and chucked it over the trench into the marshes. two EastCHN (http://z14.invisionfree.com/Kroando_Tech_Inc/index.php?showtopic=16)grenades landed and started spinning and spewing acid and flammables in every direction. They hoped to make a few kills like that.
Overhead more cruise missiles flew in from the fleets, into the island. No doubt heading towards the HQ or radar, trying to blind us from further invasion. Luckily 8 Kraken IIs were rolling down the road towards the artillery stations. Armed with a 130mm gun, a 50cal Machine Gun, and one Honvorg 10.7mm Mini-CIWS for anti missile use.
meanwhile one of the ID-57 Decimators was called in to help clear out the marshes. Driving around the trenches and nearly getting hit by a rocket it finally got in position and began firing its duel 30mm cannons into the trees, mowing down any infantry or trees, or pretty much anything that dared to stand

"Over here!"
"Medic!!"
Sanderson and his two men had found Rivera and now leant over him to try and find the wounds, they had already torn off his armour in order to get better access to the injuries,
"Jayz, you weren't down long mate" Sanderson said as he felt for a wound.
Elsewhere, the Alversian Mercenaries had experience from at least a dozen wars, they knew what they were doing. One man did as he had been trained and what he had perfected. He dug himself into the bushes, insuring that his camouflage made him melt into the background. He put his eye to the site and flicked the gun to semi-automatic mode.
One Krok raised his head to let of a shot and the Mercenary squeezed the trigger. A lone shot impacted with the side of his head, throwing the Krok back into his own men. He quickly flicked back to full auto and gave a full burst along the Krok line before pulling back slightly so he was out of harms way. The .50 bullet as well the FAL, one of the most powerful rifles ever made, should ensure that a hit would be a kill, especially with the Armour Piercing rounds of the Mercenaries.
The Tabor

The smell of death was everywhere, and Azif could only ignore the 56 men of his own that lay sprawled upon the sand. Fire in their eyes, the Tabor simply moved forward, those who had "retreated" into the jungles simply coming from behind, gutting the Kroks with poisoned bayonets. A slight cut would be incredible painful if not fatal, so a complete evisceration was beyond words.
His troops were now pumped, many of them shooting PCP into their legs, making them immune to pain or fear while giving them the strength of two men. Wildly they jumped open their foes beating them to the ground and firing upon the nearest enemy, oblivious to missing limbs or blown off legs. Guns used by the Kroks were quickly taken off their bodies and turned against them, the Tabor however strapping on their own bayonets to the foreign weaponry. All men advanced, eager to hide among the marshland.
The tanks began to open fire, the two 25mm autocannons and the 30mm Vulcan cannon on each spraying bullets like rain into anything that didn't look familiar. The Tabor hit the sand as bullets whizzed overhead by the thousands, ripping any armor the infantry might be wearing to pieces. At 70 km/h the tanks could run circles around the Kroks, allowing them to keep out of the way of anything they threw that looked "bomb like." The bullets would tear through whatever trees or material the Kroks had planned to hide behind, a a cheer rose from the ranks as bodies fell like wet rags.
Azif picked up his radio, keeping his head low to the ground while firing his rifle. "Mokan command! We need you to shoot whatever the hell you can at these Kroks! Kill them before they enter the marsh!" Azif looked beside him and saw an unused "ball of death," like the one that had been thrown earlier. It was attached to a half-charred corpse, and though he knew not how to use it, Azif chucked into the nearest mass of Krok looking things, hoping for detonation.

As Ramirez jumped from the plane, the air rushed into his face. He pulled the harness which opened his parachute. Down below, he could see small flashes near the Krok lines...guns..he thought. The battle had already started. Ramirez got contact with the ground in seconds. As soon as he landed, bullets sprayed over his head. He had a split second to get down...and ran for the nearest cover. His eyepiece, which had night vision, revealed other commandos in the area. His main concern right now is to regroup his team...however, in this crossfire..that would be hard.
Alright... he thought. He rose his gun, which was G109A1 8.5x60mm infantry rifle, and aimed at the closest Krok position. He pulled the trigger. His actions alerted them. The Kroks returned fire at Ramirez's position...luckily he was behind some cover for 8 Kroks returned fire. He was pinned down.
Then gun fire from the Kroks' 3 o'clock and 3 of them went down. Ramirez looked over for his savior. It was Mason in his Alpha team...well thank you..he thought. Ramirez looked over his cover and started firing again. After he had done with his business....he went over to another position.
"Mason! Come with me."
"Yes,sir."
"Have you seen the others?"
"No sir, we are scattered everywhere...perhaps from the enemy gun fire."
"Alright," he pressed his earpiece, "This is Lt. Ramirez. Alpha team acknowledge."
There was a pause...then responses from the each men.
"Johnson here."
"Smith here."
"This is Roscoe."
"Thompson present."
Machineguns and grenades can be heard from all over the place. Ramirez noticed that the Mokan Air force had done their jobs...he was looking at the 5 disabled artillery cannons.

The Soldiers who had retreated into the marsh were attacked from behind, a few tried to stab them, but the think armor they wore protected the Krok soldiers from mere blades. Many turned around and swung their K1s into the faces of the loonies.
"Command they have tanks on the beaches, we are getting torn up here!"
"This is command, we are under an invasion, we can give you artillery fire and thats it. Commencing bombardment."
From further inland 10 C-24 240mm guns began firing explosives all over the beach, the only thing was that there were Kroks still on the beach. In the marshes they were coordinating efforts with the remaining ID-57s for a major slaughter of any forces in the open. Bullets flew everywhere. Luckily Captain Rivera was now being taken care of so they could coordinate with the air force.

Reynolds targeted man after man, aiming for the neck and abdomen region, where the armour should be thinner. As the Krok rose, they were be greeted with a hail of tracer fire from the light machine guns.
Over with Rivera, Sanderson took the mike,
"Confirmed Alpha, hit the targets with everything you got. Take the suckers down!" he called over the increasing volume of the gunfire. He then managed to find the entry wound to the bullet,

The explosions ripped through the Tabor, the explosions knocking Azif around like a ragdoll. Two tanks were dead, leaving but three to fight. The artillery were retreating, and had his troops not been drug fueled, a full rout would have commenced. Azif cursed as he saw more of his men die in their failed close combat attacks. Damn Mokans! I told them! The Flamethrowers were brought to the front again spouting gouts of death, as men with Krok rifles hid behind the charred ruins of the tanks, the superior aim of hunting since childhood allowing headshot after headshot.
As for the rest of the warriors, they preceded to throw every grenade they had at the opposing Kroks. Improvised molotovs were cast into the air, falling upon groupings of Krok soldiers, hopefully cooking them alive. They had plenty of acid rounds, and now their effects were truly being seen. They had hit nearly everyman at least once, or at least thats what it appeared to them, so it was only a matter of time before the tide began to turn.
One of the tank drivers, hopped up on speed, meth, and PCP threw his tank into high speed, sending it straight for the largest cluster of Krok men he could find. Inside, his wild eyes glanced a grenade on his belt, and without thought he pulled the pin and threw it to the ground just as he reached them. He was half way through a victory whoop when the tank detonated like a massive bomb on treads.
The ensuing explosion, heightened due to fuel and ammunition, killed 6 of his fellow tribesmen. The Tabor could only hope it was worth the sacrifice, though already Azif saw fear in many of his men's faces. Azif rallied his men. "Destroy these infidels! The Spirit of the Sky remembers!" With a "WAAAAAAGH!" his troops summoned every last ounce of strength they had. The remaining tanks supported the men, aiming for any Krok who raised his arm to cast another "Death ball," or failing that any vehicle they could find.
Really anything would do.
Another 36 lay dead, along with three tanks. The guerrillas had been thrown upon a beach, with no cover and against a technologically superior foe. The Tabor could lose it all, or grasp the greatest glory from the chest of their foes. Azif called again for support, anything to help rain death upon these demons.

"According from Mokan airforce, Kraken IIs are going to join the battle soon...hopefully the guys in the sky will take care of them," another member of the team responded.
"How many?"
"5-8 sir. As the Kroks, our bullets doesn't penetrate very well 'cause of their armor."
"Aim for their heads, necks, or any part of their body that's weak enough," Ramirez said, "Any word from Bravo and Charlie teams."
"Yes sir," Johnson said, "I was with them when we landed until we split up and they joined up with Rivera's men."

"yes sir," the team responded in unison.
"Let's move!"

Two F-35s raced over LZ three, both armed with two AT rockets they were playing Close air support. Something the Mokans were quickly learning they need to perfect. They were told by someone, not Rivera, but probably a merc, to just kill everything. So thats what they planned to do. The first plan flew in and targeted the two ID-57s and launched. Pulling out and letting the fire and forget missiles do thier job, his wingmen continued on. he spotted the Kraken IIs and fired his missiles, they flew in fast, but the Kraken's CIWS intercepted both, blowing them up over the battle. If it was just one tank, it might of worked, but not this time.
"This is alpha team, Decimators down, Krakens managed an intercept. Calling in more to take them out. Good luck boys."
All over the battle enemy forces were taking hits, most of the bullets were strong enough to render their armor useless. Any troops still alive, were running into the bunkers. Those who the farthest north tried to run to meet up with the Krakens. Most of the infantry was down.

A mighty "Waaaaagh!" rose from the Tabor, though the exhilaration of victory was quickly replaced with fear of incoming fire. Without words the men scrambled for the bodies, gathering whatever they could of value: bits of armor, rifles, grenades, cash...anything that would help. With that they ran headlong into the swamp, the remaining tanks and artillery, who had now returned, heading up the road and looking for a safe place to standby.
The Tabor were now in their element, and like ghosts they moved far swifter then any civilized man in waist deep water. As they walked they rubbed mud upon themselves, to make themselves hard to see and invisible to thermal imaging. They fanned out, trying not to cluster, and not a sound escaped from their lips. Quietly they stalked the waters, their scouts running ahead to see if there was danger. The vehicles had slowed down, to allow the infantry to move ahead of them, though the two artillery pieces were put behind the tanks.
All listened for gunshots and explosions, as they made their way to the Military check point. For it was time for the Tabor to show what a true guerrilla fighter was.

"Mercenaries Advance!" Reynolds called as he leapt over his cover, firing burst after burst from his gun. With a roar, his men followed, charging forward from cover to cover. One man was thrown back as a lucky round impacted with the front of his helmet. Another was killed when a burst of automatic fire ripped across his stomach throwing a strange red mist into the air as he fell. Soon, Reynolds and his men had reached the position defended by the Krok just minutes before. Apart from a few dead infantry, the positon was abandoned.
"Hillary!" Reynolds turned to one of his Commanders, "Get those 40's up here now! We need close support"
"Sir!" The man saluted then turned for the artillery.

Admiral Franshaw looked over the incoming notice, reading that they would be in visual range shortly, and they wanted a welcome party? Crazy internationals and odd customs he supposed. Well he did have around 6 crates of tequila on the ship somewhere....but he doubted it was that kind of party.
"Looks like they want a brief or orders. Make it look like they came here for a reason. Invite and officers to come aboard the Mokastana, and bring up a nice bottle of tequila. And ask them what ground forces have they brought."
TO be honest the fleets were doing close to nothing but suppling support to the air force, who was supplying support for the landing parties. The numbers assembling here was overkill. Not to mention the Lryasian forces who were still in theatre. Rumor had a few of their naval crewmen were using the "instability" argument to enjoy the lax laws and damn near free strip clubs. Hell all of the Mokan military grunts seemed to consider Lyrasian units demi-gods for some reason, and since the ports were always doing business with the navy....well, lets just say Cancun was doing great financially recovering from the war.

South route, Military checkpoint, 10 miles north of Azif
Rumors of an invasion were confirmed when the scout team was destroyed. Now the Krok army was assembling a counter strike. 10,000 men marched south on foot with 30 Kraken II tanks and 30 ID-57s. Most importantly was the 50 MHAV-24 Horns (http://z14.invisionfree.com/Kroando_Tech_Inc/index.php?showtopic=23), leading the charge in to the swamp. From Mokan satellite coverage this was making up a decent portion of the military force on the Island. However thanks to counter itelligence the Kroks that that Azifs men was the main attack and the artillery position was targeted so that they could bring in the bigger guns. However that didnt mean they were going to let that slide. About a half hour behind the Kraken IIs a unit of 20 Kraken IIs, 20 ID-57s and 30 MHAV-24 was coming as reinforcement.
Krok Doctrine dictated heavy armor, but that would be their downfall.
"Azif, this is Mokan Command, we got a large force forming to the north of you heading south, we believe they think you are an invasion force. Recommend booby trap the swamp against hovercrafts and the road against armor. Set up a ambush site and foward it to us, we will have bear bombers on stand by to carpet bomb them once they are in the swamp. I recommend you make the traps not manned, if you get my drift."

Captain Rivera looked at the man smiling,...
"Thats good, if I'm going to die, its going to be a suicide bombing, not in some crater."
The smile left as the pain caught up with him.
"So much for the pain killer I took.'"
Underneath Rivera was a ripped open packet for a small syringe, it was labeled painkiller, but on the back it listed what chemicals it was exactly. With that he picked at the radio and finally got the command line.
"Where are those birds I ordered, dinners getting cold!"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sargent Mendez was the man in charge of the squad with Ramirez and the alpha team. Though they didn't have time for introductions in the mist of gunfire and chaos. Ahead of them was the first bunker. He lead his team, trying to coordinate with the alpha team, but lack of previous training rounds with them made it hard. Sometimes his men would move when they did and left many men exposed to enemy fire. He turned and saw two of his men go down. He aimed his JAM MG and fired a mass of bullets at the entrance to the bunker. By the look of it there were three guns per bunker, meaning four bunkers, the guns were on the roofs in pillboxes, from the areal shots it was obvious the guns could turn 360 degrees. Large circular concrete columns with barrels sticking out were the targets.
They were advancing on the door now, two Kroks tried to close it but Medez fired, killing one and the other fell wounded into the bunker. He raced for the door, if thay closed they were done for. From above them Kroks fired and received fire. He ducted and rolled out the way, then a grenade flew out of the door. One of his soldiers grabbed it and chucked it back into the doorway just as it began spewing toxins, the door closed just after the grenade went in...
"God damn it, we need shape charges!!!!'
Overhead 5 MIGs flew in from the mainland, each had two heavy napalm bombs, they could see the the small teams attacking the bunkers, most of the allies had landed to the east of the complex. Two bunkers were already badly damaged and the infantry from them had already ran to join the battle, another bunker was under allied attack, leaving just one bunker feeling somewhat safe. They decided to coat that one with grease, dropping 5 of the 10 bombs on the bunker, fire spewed into the port holes and down opened doors, while many would live the fire would be a safe reminder to stay inside the bunker and not help out the other fighters. With that they turned north and dropped the other five on the Krakens who were about to get to the battle. There CIWS opened fire and ripped the napalm open, spreading a blanket of fire down on them.
"AT flight team, your target is painted. Have fun over."
They flew back to base and four Su-33s from the fleet came up. The jelly napalm really served three purposes, one cover the CIWS and fry systems while making it hard for them to actually target inbounds. Two, start cooking the crews, and third, since the Kh-29Ts that the SUs fired off were TV guided , nothing quite said, hit me like a moving glowing target in a black of the night swamp.
After a short series of explosions, the Krakens were no longer a threat to the paratroops.

MNS Mokastana:
The massive Overlord Class was over a mile long and stood out because of that amongst the fleet. If that wasn't enough of a give away there was a three story tall Mokan Flag painted on the side of the superstructure. Above the deck was a heliport waiting for the delegates. However when word got to the Admiral that they were coming in via patrol boat he had to figure out a way to get them up. Using a little creativity he used a rescue boat to haul them up the side of the ship, however the were still about one fifth of a mile away from the bridge. After a nice walk they made it to the bridge where the admiral was waiting.
"I'm sorry about the walk, this vessel was meant for aerial visitors, and to pack a punch against shores. It's ironic, they used an Overlord class Dreadnaught to steal our Island and we are using one to take it back. So gentlemen, before me is the map of the area, where can you bring your forces in?"
OOC: got to go add more later
[A mile? How are you going to park one of those...?]
Bartlett began to explain.
"Well, we are fully able to do a beach landing, kind of a flanking attack to get at the enemy from the rear. Or we can unload at a friendly dock.
Any of the beaches will do, although I prefer these - "
He pointed to some strips of yellow on the map.

"Very well, I like that Idea. Once i talk with all the allied forces we will launch a full scale invasion of the island. So far the commandos are doing well the enemy has mobilized and exposed themselves. They believe the invasion will occur in the swamps. With less forces in the north half we will strike and surround them. From there it is simply bombardment."
(OOC: Im making the map for the attacks)
Artillery Positions:
(breif overview of the bunker, door leads in the side to a main storage room, with three stariwells to get to the guns, in the back of that room there are three doors that lead to a large barracks for 30 men. Lots of cots, lockers, public restroom off to the right, and a communications room in the back of the cots.)
Sargent Mendez was grateful for the heavy explosives, now that the door had been blown in, an acid grenade and a frag had all more then cleared in the inner hallway. He raced up to the door, slammed against the wall next to it. Pulled a grenade, and looked in. Peices of burning soldiers were everywhere. and there was nothing standing in the way of their entrance, not even a machine gun in a wall. He moved in followed by two other soldiers. One with a K1 and the other with a drum clip in his AM-07. They proceded to the main room where the stairs to the pillboxes on the roof(artillery) was positioned. Four men were hiding behind pillars and stairs and began firing. Mendez let open a long burst of machine gun fire as he ran behind a crate of 405mm shells, the soldier behind him with the K1 went down, the last one stayed behind the concrete of the entrance.
"I need back up!"
Military checkpoint:
The large army was now moving south to try and push them off the beaches, Leading the charge were the ID-57s followed by the heavy tanks, Infantry were intermixed with the vehicles. Protecting the flanks of the large force were the MHAV-24, navigating through swamp and trees and keeping an eye for enemy forces....So far they had seen none, where were they?

Ramirez rushed through the blown door and saw dead Kroks...others were moaning from the pain the grenade caused. He saw the Mokan officer ran further inside the bunker into the main room. Some Kroks were hiding behind pillars and began firing at them. ..I need back up!..it was the Mokan officer. Ramirez could see that he was pinned down behind crates of artillery ammunition. He hid behind a wall and took a brief peek...he saw where the Kroks were hiding. Roscoe soon joined him.
"Mason." he said while giving him hand signals....Mason responded by nodding. A second later, Mason exposed himself and sprinted for the Mokan officer. At the same time, Ramirez and Roscoe aimed at the Kroks and fired at them. Two of them went down and another one was hit. The distraction worked.

The last Krok soldier ran up the stair and disappeared under a hail of gunfire. With that the sargent jumped the boxes and ran to the foot of the stairs. A grenade rolled down to the men. Mendez knew krok grenades spinned rather then exploding but he still dove for the communications room as the grenade started spraying. A few gunshots were heard. The other Mokan soldier however saw the grenade and stayed behind in concrete tunnel of the entrance.
"Get out of there!"

"No problem sir." Mason said as the officer ran towards the stairs.
Ramirez and his team ran towards the other stairs. He knew that it would be suicide to just run up the stairs. So he signaled Roscoe. Him and the rest of the team took cover while Roscoe grabbed a grenade. He pulled the pinned and pitched it to the top of the stairs. It detonated and smoke started to fill up the area. It was smoke grenade. As soon as the grenade detonated, Ramirez had already thrown another grenade in the the same spot. This time, it didn't smoke...but exploded. A Krok fell down the stairs out of nowhere. Ramirez ran up the stairs while ducking low, while the team followed him. Shouts can be heard on the top. More Kroks are still there.
The smoke didn't clear up yet so he pressed something on his eyepiece and it produced thermal vision. Once at the top, bullets hissed by barely missing his head. Ramirez responded by firing back. Thanks to the thermal vision, he could see where the Kroks were.

The two Kroks on the top of the stairwell were the artillery crew men, somehow they had only been injured by the blast. One was bleeding majorly and the other aimed his K1 down the stairwell and fired. He couldnt see through the smoke and no doubt the moment he walked froward to poke his head out they would take him out. So he stood like an idiot, and fired off a burst down the stairs.
Meanwhile the acid/fire spinning grenade finally burned out, leaving a 25 foot radius of blackened ground. Mendez popped his head up and decided now was time to return the favor. He pulled out a frag let it cook for two seconds, then he tossed it up into the room where it sounded like it detonated in mid air. Screams were heard and he raced up the stairs. Behind him a krok came out of the barracks and aimed his K1, only to be fired at by the soldier near the door. The soldier was half dressed in his battle suit and few rounds from the Jaguar got him in areas not protected. He crumpled, wounded but alive.
Mendez went up and planted an explosive on the Cannon. Keeping an eye out for any soldiers hiding behind the massive gun. His parter, after checking the wounded krok went into the barracks to clean house. One other soldier was there, barely dressed in battle gear, he reached for his rifle and took three rounds to the chest, falling over dead. He checked the showers and stalls. Outside of the room he heard explosions and more Mokan soldiers racing in.
Mendez came down the stairs and say the group of freindlies, and shouted up the last stairwell:
"Surrender or we will go up there and take you out!"

A Krok soldier continued to fire at Ramirez and his them...aiming down the stairway. He noticed that the soldier was standing near the top of the stairs...what the hell is he doing...Ramirez thought in surprise. Then the soldier was shot a couple of times and finally went down. Ramirez looked down...it was Mason who fired the shot. Ramirez continued up the stairs finally reaching the room. He checked for any more Kroks in the area, but he only saw one Krok alive seriously wounded.
"Roscoe. Check him."
"Sir."
Ramirez, being satisfied and looking at the 406mm gun, ordered Mason to plant an demo on it. He looked back at the wounded Krok.
"Sir, he's dead."
They went down the stairs and saw more Mokan troops going to the other rooms. They followed them.

Upstairs was three Kroks, all three artillery men and all three packing K1s. To the west they could see the last remaining bunker. It was still burning from the mass of napalm dropped on it, all of the ports and windows were smoking. The Mokans had one, but they would take as many of them down as they could.
"Pass me a spinner."
Downstairs Mendez gave the orders for them to check the barracks and clean house, take anything of value and organize it. He wanted all the rifles and grenade launchers and even the battle suits ready for pickup by the rest of the forces. One soldier as a joke wrote a note to be left on top of the suits saying: Honey, please take care of these, and clean up the house a bit, we had guests over and its a mess. The special forces looked down on the regular army, but hey, they deserved to, and most of the army was laid back enough to joke with eachother anyways.
Mendez had his team looked up the stairwell as he went to meet the troops from Megalithon. He spoke quietly, "Sargent Mendez, clearing out the last tower."
"grenade!"
Two men ducked when multiple gunshots raced down the stairs followed by a grenade. One soldier picked it up and tossed it back up. Flames licked down the stairs as the nade began spinning and burning everything up there. It burned out after a few seconds and they heard a few cries.
"GO GO GO!"

Ramirez, finally knowing the name of the Mokan officer, said, "First Lieutenant Ramirez of the 11th Spec-Ops team. Nice to meet you too."
Ramirez watched as the Mokan commandos raced up the stairs and provided support. He figured just to stay downstairs assuming the Mokans can handle the situation. He looked outside to see the Mokan infantry on the ground advancing. He also saw one of the bunkers heavily on fire. The Kroks just outside the bunker seem to be being shot from the distance. He looked for the shooter in the distance. He noticed something...then he smiled. It was Johnson. He has been there the whole time sniping at the enemy.

After a few gunshots and a C4 set up the last one was taken care of, Sargent Mendez left a few men inside the bunker to keep it secure while he lead the team back out to assault the last bunker, but first, they needed to find the Captain. They ran outside to pop smoke showing that this bunker was clear. The Sargent tossed a green smoke grenade next to the bunker as he continued on.
"Corperal, take 10 men and set up a line to fight any kroks that might come from the other bunkers. make it look like we are about to attack, but don't. Now we need to find the Captain to get air support, perhaps we can just get a few 500 lbs bombs into the last bunker and take it out. So we don't have to bother storming it. "
"Antigr is mostly tropics or sub-tropics, so we're used to swamps. I think we're getting more and more useful - now, what kind of terrain, climate, and weather will we face when we go wherever we go?
And, more importantly, what beach shall we land on? Once I have this, Admiral, I can prepare fully.
In case you need a bit of large firepower assistance, we have cruise missiles and a few SSBN nuclear submarines around somewhere.
We have long range guns - our Battlecruisers, even the unconverted gunfire-support vessels, have, at most, 380mm - that's 15inch - weapons, but all can fire long-range shells and most have been upgraded to ETC ignition, so you can expect rapid heay gunfire from us if you need a bit extra oomph.
One of our ships has an experimental 19inch railgun though, but the point is we can provide some heavy support.
We also have quite a few carriers and a strong air wing to support our marines, and possibly yours if needs arise"

"Yes sir, will do."

"I doubt that is needed but of course."
"Yes, thank you Mr. President."

The first Mokan ships got into range to blow the island to hell. even though the artillery wasn't out yet they knew it was time to destroy the Kroando forces. Bear bombers were were flying off reloaded with more kh-55s while the naval bombers prepared to destroy the large forming armies.
"Prepare Faraday missiles. Are the Ohios are ready?"
"Yes sir, the five Ohios are armed with you Faradays"
"Launch em."
With that the five Ohio Class SSBNs launched 4 missiles each, these missiles were standard tactical ballistic missiles however the warheads were something mokans hadnt used in a while. It was called the Faraday bomb, for obvious reasons. A large non-nuclear EMP weapon wrapped in a Faraday cage that would disable .2 seconds before it detonated. This way multiple could be launched without worry of disabling eachother. Each had a radius of five miles and would be dropped on enemy power plants, supply depots, and mass units.
LNS Longsword
Carribbean
Field Marshal Ward, at long last, held in his hands the piece of paper that Executive Command had informed him would give him the authority to respond. As Mokan allies, the wording was very specifically aimed equally at the Lyran task force.
ATTENTION ALL ALLIED FLEET IN RANGE OF JUVENTUD

His eyes met those of Fleet Colonel Andrith, officer commanding the Longsword, and the intent was signalled clearly.
Andrith addressed the weapons officers.
"Tactical, arm hellions, match bearings established by radar uplink, and weapons free."
As Juventud's artillery batteries had fired, Lyran fire-finder radar had pin-pointed each and every weapon that had fired a projectile higher than 10 metres into the air. Now, over two thousand LY589 Hellion cruise missiles left the decks of the Longsword, and leant over, streaking towards the island. In addition, every fixed defensive position, hostile airfield, control tower, communications relay station and railway junction was pinpointed by satellite reconnaissance.
It was a very bad day to be manning any stationary position on Juventud.
The Antigrans were not to be left out; every vessel down to the larger frigates carried cruise missiles, and some ships carried more than others; for example, the newer BattleCruisers and SSBNs.
Upon the Admiral's word, they were launched - only thirty. However, packed with EMP/DPICM systems, they were aimed at primarily large targets provided by Mokan intelligence.
The Lyrans seemed to have hundreds, so the beach would be pretty much clear for the Antigran Marines. Hopefully.
The sheer flame and smoke generated hazed the Antigran fleet as the missiles cleared their launchers.
A twin 380mm (15-inch) ETC gun turret onboard the S.F.F. [I]Auston, one of the two more modern Battlecruisers, opened fire, for it was a signal.
The other three Battlecruisers were there solely for support;
They were Gunfire-Support ships, unconverted battleships and battlecruisers, the only modern weapons being core defensives.
Two carried fourteen 15-inchers in twin turrets, which all fired at the exact same time, producing a massive sheet of sheer flame, higher, wider, and longer than the ship that produced it.
The beach defences were in for a loooong day.
As the smoke dissipated and before the second salvo was fired, a solid splash was heard, and then more - amphibious vehicles hitting the water. Accelerating away, landing craft mixed in among their ranks, heading for land, carrying Marines.

Juventud Island was beaten, bashed, burned bombed and crawling with merc. The massive army that was formed was hit hard by the enemy cannons and hellions. Captain Rivera had been found and called in the support to blow the last artillery positions. They learned of the imminent invasion and held position. The Tabors on the other hand...well, they would try and miss them.
The Kraken II comes equipped with a small CIWS gun and therefore could in theory fend off the effects of the Hellion anti-tank cruise missile. However the fact that 2,000 were launched, with even less AA abilities then the island had when the Mokans launched their initial missile strike, it meant that they had the ablility to kill over 8,000 vehicles. The few missile launchers left managed to shoot down about 140 incoming missiles but the power was overwhelming. Over 12,000 vehicles now were burning over the island. Stationary positions, such as the Radar stations, training centers, towers, and the control tower for the airport were now smoldering ruins.
The Kroks were all but defeated. Over head IL-57s flew in dropping paratroopers armed with JagD Sniper Rifles, with the larger 8X60mm round, ready to take out kroks and capture supply depots and other such quick targets. Most of the Island was EMPed, disabling most vehicles and electronic dangers. However the infantry still existed, and it was armored and threatening....

"FUCK THOSE KROKS!!!!!"
"LET EM BURN!!!!!"
"HEY FUCKERS! IM HERE TO TAKE MY FARM BACK!"
The Mokan special ops cheered as the island shook from explosions and planes flew over. The show of force was amazing, the international support was astounding. They cheered and shot rounds into the air, many however continued to secure the location and take POWs into custody. An old Mokan custom the ages before unity was to ally with your neighbors to fight in the event someone came to take it away from you. Many a government was overthrown for fighting the farmers armies.
Captain Rivera was back on his feet and patched up, thanks to a few friends, he saw Ramirez and the crowd of cheering soldiers, as others secured the permiter.
"Dios, we must seem like a strange people to you, but let me try to explain, you see, long ago, before Mokan Island was unified, raiders would come and attack villages and farms. Therefore the people allied together, because there was no government to ask for help from. And when you recaptured a town or farm, it was custom to let the owners celebrate while the rest of the army secured and made sure it was safe. Many of these men used to have farms on Juventud, hell Sargent Mendez was a mayor even. And now that we are safe, the owners are celebrating."

The Beaches - Surviving Krok Bunker
The Bunker was one of a few remaining artillery emplacements not destroyed by the bombardment.
It's [insert artillery calibre] guns could only do so much.
A Lieutenant watched through to slit in the concrete as splashes went up from the shells landing.
He and his crew had scored several hits, but the craft were almost at the beach...and then the first one stopped and it's ramp came down, spilling out infantry.
Immediately, the Krok corporal next to the Lt. opened fire with his GPMG, spraying lead everywhere.
This was the last thing he saw. The artillery crewmen watched as their headless Lieutenant fell, his head no more than a few pieces, victim of a HMG.
The amphibious vehicles accelerated onto the beach, firing their cannon. A few loitered to provide gunfire support and cover for the heavier tank landing craft, while the rest cleared the beach and unloaded marines.
Lieutenant-Colonel Hilts was the second most senior officer on the beach at the time. As the back door/ramp on his amphibious vehicle came down, men started to exit. He went with them.
His vehicle had cleared the beach and was firing it's 30mm at anything in the way.
Hilts held his PT-3 SMG (http://www.forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=13117146&postcount=14) at his shoulder, and fired off his whole magazine at a squad of Kroks exiting from a bunker.
Once they were dead, he ran in and threw himself against a retaining wall.
A marine corporal produced a grenade and pulled the pin. He waited two seconds and threw it.
It detonated, and he ran in, firing his Sabre (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=13130744&postcount=27) on full auto.
Meanwhile, the bigger enemy emplacements were being covered by naval gunfire and the first tanks were hitting the beach. Rather than wait, wiping out thge beach defences - that could be left to the marines - they formed together and pushed on towards friendly positions.

Deeper Inland, Paratrooper teams
This was the first major operation of the first Division of paratroopers. They jumped and fell to the earth watching the Faraday missile fizzle out and burn from the thermite inside them. They were landing head first around the first major tank depot. Below them the lights were out, but when you EMP the island, that is a minor side effect. The wind rushed against Lut. Jasper Pechov's face, he loved jumping, this was his life, even with a heavy sniper rifle on his back he was still enjoying it. Tracers. The kroks AA was down but they were firing up at the parachutes that opened. He pulled his shoot, and no sooner had he were rounds coming after him. He took evasive maneuvers but rounds kept flying by. Heavier machine guns went off as the tank crews raced to their tanks.
Then tracer rounds raced towards them, a few fell, some of his boys had landed already. The chaos ensued. He turned for a clearing seeing some of his men had already landed there. It would be nice to be amongst friends before you attack.

Just as he said so one Ironheart IFV (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=533583&postcount=1) rolled up and parked for the Captain. The top popped open and a soldier stuck his head out.
"Rivera, get to the Command APC."
Then without saluting he ducked back in and the IFV drove off. Behind it a Modile Command Center Rolled up and the back opened, two soldiers ran out and pulled Rivera and Ramirez over. They were sat down and the back closed as the vehicle continued on. Inside on the wall was a hot and cold water dispenser, a mini fridge and, if you looked close enough, a wireless internet modem. Under the seats were controls for heating or cooling each individual padded seat. In the middle of all was a small table with controls and the battle map. From the roof they had radios for connections with the rest of the division. As well a maps of locations and numbers of all support on the way, Over 5,639 Tomahawk Cruise missiles were shown in status of ON CALL. Then it began to lower to 5,612 as the map showed dots representing missiles heading inland from the fleet.
"Would you like anything to drink?"
Rivera opened the fridge, on the top was a few bottles of water, energy drinks, and a bottle of wine. Underneath it was a few syringes and other medical supplies. He pulled out an ice pack from the medical supplies and put it on his shoulder. After all he did get shot and crash landed into this mess. From under a seat he pulled out a hot pad and put it on his knee. One of the other soulders noticed this and spoke up.
"Sir, shouldnt you get into the medical AMTV?"
"I'll be fine, just need to relax my body a bit."

..Maybe I'll recommend this vehicle back in Megalithon..he thought. As he looked at the maps on the table, he was overwhelmed by the number of cruise missiles launched. It was raining missiles...literally. Now all he has to do is relax and wait until further actions by the Mokans.

The Command Vehicle rode on, showing little dots move left and right on the screen as allies conquested with relative ease. Symbols for Paratroopers formed around supply depot and from front C a large force labeled Antigr was moving inward. Black cirlces showed where EMPs had knocked out enemy positions, those that had survived Lyrasian missile strikes. Next to the computer Captain Rivera Drifted off to sleep. Across the table from him was three men, two were Lutenents, concerned with the security of this Command vehicle and the Platoon that the Command Vehicle was attacked to. The other was an older gentleman, with a large Grey mustache over his aging dark face. His uniform was a pale plan olive Green Jacket with torn patches were pockets once were, and on the sleeve it showed an aging cheap patch that said MPA, under that was a nice looking one with the insignia for the Confederate jaguars. Then near his elbow was perhaps the only thing that looked official: all it said was Jaguar Corps.
"Excuse me, Ramirez, is it? I am Division Colonel Jason Zamper. Captain Rivera over here is under me. I need a favor from you, if you will. Captain Rivera is a stubborn asshole..."
The Command vehicle slowed to a stop.
"We need to carry him into the ambulance APC behind us. If you would be willing to help."
The back door opened and they were staring at another Ironheart, in black words on Jungle camo paint it said Ambulance.

The Beachead
The Antigran commanders were getting kind of worried.
They didn't know where their allies were, so they couldn't really help them, so Radio Transmissions were sent.
"Antigran beachead calling any allied units, come in. Antigran beachead calling any allied units, come in. Over.
"Copy that. This is Captain Orlando Consuelo. Paratrooper Jaguar. We are attacking the supply depot in Las Melvis, requesting support, prefferably armor. The damn Kroks are fortified and we cant get em out of there. They got a shitload of food and munitions to fight us off with. We have already called in tomahawks on over half of this complex, but they aint given up. I need help taking in. hurry up over."
Six 380mm guns, in three turrets, swung round and belched flame, sending shells screaming towards the Krok positions near Las Melvis.
Immediately afterwards, several MT-85D Marauder MBTs [wanna check the writeup, link to my armoury/storefront's in me sig] and some MSV-30 Raider MIFVs began to head towards the position, firing their cannon.
Five DD80 multirole fighters were diverted towards the positions.
Screaming in from the clouds, the flight commander pressed the button that would release his AGMs...

Las Melvis Supply station
The heavily armed bunkers were half underground and half above with slanted roofs and at least three feet of concrete. Many had underground wide open tunnels between them. large enough to move tanks between bunker, but for the most part were used for storage. However after 30 Tomahawks later and immense shelling had destroyed many of the bunkers, and many paratroopers had begun going into the opened tunnels and stealing krok toys to fight them with. Rifles were cracking here and there, and many Kroks had taken underground into the tunnels, the Kraken IIs that were stationed here were rolling around nearly unstoppable against the Jaguars AT weapons. Needless to say this was slowly becoming a reoccurring problem. M3s and Krok Grenade launchers were tearing at the armor but not doing the job that they wanted.
Luckily allied tanks were rolling in... Three Krakens rolled outside to meet them, overall there were 19 enemy tanks in the battlefield combat ready, another 16 were unoccupied and a squad of Jaguars were holding them, firing off against any enemy forces that would attempt for them. Unfortunately, there were a lot of them. Underground tank crews were waiting to get to them. If those tanks were captured by the enemy then it could be assumed that the attack was a fail and the supply depot would have to be blown to hell. 30 Tomahawks were on standby to make sure that that didn't happen.

"We got blood in the back, O positive, that should work. He looks like hell.
...The plane's guided bombs dropped, aimed at a group of empty Krok tanks.
The other planes followed, dropping their loads on similar targets where possible.
Meanwhile, the first MT-85D Marauder rolled onto the battleground.
The commander got a nasty shock to see an enemy tank not a hundred meters from him.
They hadn't seen him.
The Marauder's 120mm ETC gun traversed and took aim at a weak spot - the joint between the hull and turret - at less than 100m, it was a good chance...
The Kraken's turret began to swing round towards the Marauder as the Marauder's own gun fired, belching a sheet of flame and smoke. The round ripped through the Kraken - at point-blank range, against an ETC gun firing DU AP, armour wouldn't do much for that tank crew.
As the Marauder's autoloader began to chamber a new shell, three MSV-30 MIFVs rolled past and halted.
While their 40mm Bofors guns kept the enemy infantry stupid enough to be out in the open covered, their rear ramps lowered, and squads of Marines disembarked.
The most senior officer was Captain Huxley, and he ran forward from the third MIFV, throwing himself into a small trench that appeared to lead to a tunnel entrance.
He fired a burst at a Krok who had burst out of the tunnel, who subsequently erupted in a brief red mist and collapsed.
Now, to find Captain Consuelo

The empty tanks exploded into a mess of fire and death, 7 tanks were now destroyed leaving nine unoccupied ant 15 occupied. The remaining nine were guarded by Captain Consuelo and a few of his men who had managed to get here and clean house. That last bomb fell to close to his team, luckily no one was injured, but they had decided to use the burning tanks to their advantage. Setting C4 charges in 3 more they managed to form a protective ring of destroyed tanks around the 13 unoccupied ones. Three sides concrete barriers and machine guns, and one side burning tank and machine guns. The tunnel entrance to this tank depot was blown, to prevent a surprise attack.
Consuelo looked out, saw a group of Kroks running and took the shot, the last two fell. He wasn't sure who was friend or foe anymore, as Jamming equipment from the Kroks were playing hell with their radios. It would only be a matter of time before one side regained organization. The question was who

The artillery barrage had done its job, the concrete around the airfieild was ruined, the tanks around it smoldered. A few infantry rounds were fired here and there, a few mokans were hiding behind a burning Kraken 2 and looking over to see enemy positions. Artillery from the fleets streaked overhead, probably the Grim Reaper off the coast. The muffled booms could be heard between the pop and rattles of rifle fire.
"Two Kroks in the remains of the control tower."
The corporal looked over and saw the remains of the control tower, after all it had been hit by a cruise missile near the bottom, the middle half was completely gone, while the top had collapsed on the fence around the airfield, over 100 meters away. He aimed the sniper rifle, breathed in, and out, breath in, then squeezed on the out breath. The soldier fell as the crack of the rifle went off and the other looked over and sent off a burst of fire back to the downed tank. This was the war on the ground, soldier to soldier, the only difference is that the Mokans had all the missiles they could ever need floating waiting for a call...
The Kraken IIs were a fair match for the Marauders, and a few of both had been destroyed.
It was seen that heavy firepower was needed - the planes were coming round again, but they could only do so much.
Huxley ordered a radio operator to call for heavier support - some naval gun of missile fire should do it.
Huxley's men took cover as more 38cm shells came crashing down around them.
Once the barrage was over, Huxley and several men immediately ran towards where they had seen Consuelo a few moments earlier, hopefully not coming under much fire now that the enmy was either dead or dazed.

"Consuelo, Infantry on the left flank, don't seem to be hostile." A soldier whispered over to the commander. He looked over to them, seeing them through his scope, they didn't look Mokan, but to dark to be kroks, Kroks were far to pale to be them. Maybe they were allied, or a distraction, he flashed his laser pointer at them to test their reaction.....one...twice...sold..
Huxley threw himself to the ground as he reached Consuelo, and grinned broadly.
"Antigran Federal Marines, at your service. What kind of opposition are we facing here?"
As he said this, a KGM GPMG [armoury link in sig] was being set up and Huxley could see some Marauders and Raiders moving slowly forward, while the marines took cover behind them and fired on any survivors.
It seemed the bombardments had taken their toll, and the Krakens were slowly being dealt with. A good day.

Somebodies got jammers or something in this base so we can use our headsets to communicate or even relay locations. It's blind fighting, we have reduced ourselves to using three flashes with laser pointers to find eachother. Kinda sad because they will either shoot, or flash back."
Behind them more explosions ripped though as a Tomahawk crashed on the other side of the base. The flames rose up and made it bright as day for a few seconds, just long enough to see a few figures in all black walking towards their hideout trying to be quiet. Upon discovery that they had been seen, rather then pretending to be allies like the leader was signaling, one just opened fire and dove for cover.
"Kroks! Three o clock, Mata les!"
the mokan troops turned and started to fire as bullets streaked back and forth, the soldier next to Consuelo fell, blood gushing from his chest. A medic raced over and started applying pressure, but with what few medical supplies he jumped in with would not be enough to save the man.

Huxley raised his Sabre assault rifle and looked through the reflex sight. After two second's aim, he opened fire on whichever enemies he saw.
Like most pre-prepared missions, the Marines had been briefed extensively and knew the differences in uniform, and even in low-light, these were recognisable.
Meanwhile, an Antigran medic had ran over to the location of the Stricken soldier and gave what help he could.
Two Antigran attack helicopters had joined in to provide more accurate fire than the high-speed jets could give, and began making 30mm-mincemeat of enemy troops from short range, deploying rockets and missiles too.
There were too many kroks to kill all at once, so one of Huxley's men brought up a LAW and sent a 105mm round towards the enemy troops.
With the KGM giving cover fire, some of the Marines sprinted for a shell crater nearer to the Kroks.
The Marines were stretched out across the beachead and beyond, but a Sergeant-Major and two Mechanized companies were beginning to reinforce Captain Huxley and were leading a flanking assault across the enemy left.

Command APC
The radio squawked as Zamper answered, they had gotten Rivera into the Medic APC, that was good, Mokan Propaganda wanted to make him a hero, and the hero has to live,
"Well Division Colonel, we have cleaned up the artillery positions. Moving the Krok supplies out and bringing up the division on the beach. We actually have 4 of their guns that with a little work can be reused."
"Good Captain, keep up the good work." back to Ramirez, "Well, Ramirez, how many forces do you have out here, I probably should take you back to your men shouldn't I, but could you allow me to have someone to relay information between our units. We are about to flank the remaining forces by the Military Checkpoint, Lyras Cruise missiles just cleaned house. Now we get to sweep up. We assume all tanks have been destroyed. maybe a few can still work for Mokan use."
Airfield
The flank caught the Kroando soldiers by surprise, mainly because they had no intelligence or communication up properly for the fight. Giving the Antigr forces a major advantage, however some Kroando forces had managed to get thier CC-AGL (http://z14.invisionfree.com/Kroando_Tech_Inc/index.php?showtopic=17)Grenade launchers and were pounding the enemy attack along with thier own forces in the crossfire. Dropping high explosive grenades onto the advance giving a few Mokans who had stole the grenade launchers a chance to rain fire down on them as well. In the end along with random firing now grenades were falling everywhere from everywhere.
Consuelo fired massive amounts from his AM-07 taking down Kroks and soon turned to his men.
"Get an MG off one of these tanks and use it for suppressive fire!"
With that two men climbed a tank and used the machine gun to lay waste to the massive unit in front of them. Soon after much firing the attack had either pulled back or been wiped out. The few men left smiled and knew that the tanks had held. The few Kraken tanks left could be seen pulling out of the depot, no doubt the Krok Commanders were going to try for a last stand at the main fort.

Supply Depot(not the airfield)
"yeah there is a fort at the northern point of the island. Well, by now I'm betting its more of a Target range for our Tomahawks."
He laughed at that thought. As they looked around it seemed the attack had died. Thanks to the Antigr attack this side of the depot was becoming a lot quieter, with the armor pulling out Krok command must of assumed that this was lost and salvaging what it could. Gun rattles still fired off from inside and around the supply depot, with the sun rising in the distance the fires from the war danced around spilled fuel and munition boxes. It was eeriely calming watching the rising sun over the burned tropical island with random spurts of gunfire in the distance.

"Major Luckly, Any Mokan troops come in over."
Consuelo nearly dropped the radio when he heard this...

"Major Lucky" was really Captain Zumwalt, but still in charge of these few hundred boys who jumped with him, and he wasnt underground. He was hiding in a concrete bunker that had been cleared out and stocked full of empty rifles, to bad the ammunition was three bunkers down, guarded by a few kroks who didn't realize that the commanders of the Mokan operation were just a few doors to the left. Supply Depot
The shells and enemy tanks rolling through thier supply depot had made a largely unorganized resistance think that there were far more enemies then there were. Many Kroks would come out hands up towards the enemy tanks. However many more would retreat into the tunnels and begin fighting down there. Already Capitan Zumwalt had gotten many calls in about what to do with prisoners. The man thing he tried was to keep them locked up in some of the safety rooms for high explosives, once they were stripped of their gear and the rooms cleaned out of course. Many Kroks would now be locked up and waiting for allied reinforcements to come get them.
However when the artillery barrage landed on the concrete bunker where the kroks were hiding it became apperent what was in there, bullets, lot of them. Everything from standard lead to high explosive rounds were now firing off in every direction, by the sound of it anyone within a few miles would think that they had just dropped thousands of sub munitions on the base. No doubt any krok in a few hundred meters sticking his head out was now dead. Once the barrage was over and the concrete bunkers had been leveled by the firing one of Zumwalt's men looked out and saw the Federal Marines. A short wave later and he invited them in.
Inside Zumwalt waited to greet them, standing at 5'11" and with a light brown complexion he was a Mokan-Northerner mix, in shape and always looking like he's ready to kick ass, he was the personification of the Mokan Paratrooper. On his tattered shoulder the Jaguar symbol rested. As it did on all Mokan Paras.
"I am Captain Zumwalt, or as you may know...Major Lucky..."

Corperal Vasquez now held his team on the south side of the airfield, hiding in a fortified hanger, his sniper rifle scanning he runway for any signs of enemy forces. It was quiet, with fires glowing in the morning sun, two of his men had pulled out an MRE for breakfast and were cooking it with some Fuel in a corner of the the hanger. It was now day two of the actual siege of the island. The Kroks had held on longer then they had planed. According to plan he was suppose to be on guard duty around this place allowing the divisions to fly in. No doubt the army boys were complaining about how the Paras were stealing all the action. Just wait till they get here....
Huxley greeted him.
"Ah. Well, nice to meet you, Maj...sorry, Captain. Are there any more enemy forces or did we wipe them all out?

Mokan Forces were unloading at the docks and escorting prisoners towards the transports to take them to the island Prisons. Many POW prisons in Mokastana were just Caribbean Islands with barracks on them, while the guardhouses and food supplies were under fence and locked down. The idea was that they could leave anytime, if they wished to try the open sea....normally those who would try would never be heard from again.

A few gunshots would ring out here and there, the Kroks believed that it was a trick by the enemy forces to try and draw them out. However without being able to raise any higher ups, they realized how doomed the situation was. Some would come out and surrender, but about half were stil in the tunnels, hiding from the Mokans and allies. The tunnels were being flushed out, already the radio was telling Captain Zumwalt that half of them were cleared.

"It.s damn good..." Ramirez replied.
The APC stopped. Ramirez looked outside. Assuming the area is safe, he opened the hatch and stepped out. He saw the other APC stopped as well with some of his men already stepping out. Ramirez looked towards the airport. He could see some Krok men walking towards allied forces with their hands up. He smiled and rest his assault rifle on his shoulder.
"Sir, we heard the news," Mason said, "I guess it's over."
"You're right Mason...it's over," Ramirez said, "But we still have to be on red alert...I'm sure some of the Kroks haven't surrendered yet."
"Agreed sir."
He signaled the team to move forward towards the front. They're still on high alert even though the Krok general announced his surrender. They moved forward cautiously.

Corperal Vasquez looked over his shoulder at the soldiers that came out of the jungle, they didn't look like kroks, or Mokans, possibly an ally but you couldnt be too careful. He kept his sniper rifle on the Kroks with their hands up, no doubt after sniping them every time they looked out a window would demoralize you enough to surrender. Two soldiers stood over escorting them into an empty hanger, so far they had not planned on prisoners, so finding a place to keep them would be hard. Behind him Private Neville hid behind a steel crate and flashed three times (laser pointer) towards the troops, if they responded, allies, if they fired or ran, fire.
The Antigrans were running into hoards of surrendering Krok soldiers, but some seemed even more determined to resist.
A temporary holding camp was being built on the beachead to hold them, and later, hopefully, transfer them to the Mokans.

Mokan Command Bunker, Mokan Island
"Sir, we are getting reports of nearly 21,400 prisoners so far."
Generalissimo Canarias looked slightly shocked by those numbers, but given that Kroks were a hard people to deal with he was surprised they had prisoners at all.
"what about causalities Soldier?"
"basic count is around, 178,000, so there is still around 32,000 Kroks unaccounted for."
"what about civilian casualities?"
"I wouldn't call them civilians but of the 3,000 unarmed workers 700 have been found and are in custody, the rest are assumed KIA or MIA."
"Sir, message from Antigr forces, they want us to pull the prisoners off of the landing beaches."
"Very well, send them some aging Dugal transports. we will be taking them to north Mejico Desert. The Islands can't handle this large of an influx. Have the Mejico National Gaurd set up a POW camp capable of handling a few thousand. Then tell them to build a few more."
Juventud Island
The Kraken tanks idled in the dense Jungle of the southern island. Kroando Command had preppared for this invasion, and although the allies were something new, it was not unexpected. The fort was lost, and the Grand Marshall surrendered, even though he was suppose to fight to the death. Though now with all official lines cut the fluid defense could begin. The Kroando soldiers wondered why they had been left on the Island so long, and why no one reported that Kroando ships were engaging the Mokans. Not even the enemy channels spoke of enemy forces attacking. While the Grand Marshall did say they were on their way, he still surrendered.
What was going on?
It did not matter, they would die as their duty and God commanded.
The counter attack would soon begin.
Supply Depot
The Sergeant-Major and whoever had a fast-firing weapon or shotgun were beginning the process of flushing out the last tunnel rats.
Above ground, the Krok forces were pretty much wiped out. Soon, the area would be clear.
-----
The Antigran forces elsewhere were high on morale - the war was seemingly over.
Artillery in every calibre from 60mm Mortars to 155mm/8inch (203mm) guns to cruise missiles were consistently pounding the remaining unbelieving Krok positions along the lines.
Tank battalions covered the fronts, artillery covered the ground in front of them, marines filled the gaps and the Federal Naval Fleet Air Arm went pretty much all over the island, bombing any unsurrendered Kroks they saw and dropping propoganda.

Supply Depot
Hundreds dead, thousands wounded or captured, but it was now in allied hands. The tunnels were flushed and the few dozen surviving Kroks were now walking out with hands up and in lines. Most without their fancy armor on anymore, piles of helmets and battle armor had been places in the roads of the most damaged areas of the depot. Captain Zumwalt was calling back to Mokan Command to report what was captured and what was salvageable.
Near the fronts, the last stand(s)
42 Kraken two tanks raced north towards the Supply depots around Las Melvis. Firing rounds and taking care of Mokan Paratroopers along the roads and semi-hidden positions. The paras to the south desperately needed help, and now with the tank blitz north the situation would seem hopeless. The problem was that Krok and Mokan positions were intermixed, so carpet bombing was out of the question. This deal would require getting down and dirty.

As many Kroks walked aimlessly with their hands up in the air, it was hard to see who's the enemy and who's the ally. With his team just having come out of the jungle, Ramirez was relieved for walking out safely. Resistance was nonexistent at this point. He noticed some of allied infantry moving in and out of the hangers in the airport. He was sure of it because they didn't wear any armor like the Kroks wear.
"Sir." Mason said. Ramirez looked over where Mason was aiming. He saw more a large group of allied vehicles and infantry near their position. He then signaled his team to head to them.
When they reached the allied group, they realized it was the Mokans after all. They had some prisoners with them, and it looked like morale was high by the way the Mokan soldiers talked to each other...with excitement.

You chose a good place to come in, this side is pretty clear, as for the rest it is a snipers paradise. 4,000 places to hide and you cant see anyone without a scope. DO we have any armor support coming in? That would be more then helpful."

The Frontlines
352nd Artillery Battalion, 1 Mile Southeast of Las Melvis
"All guns, fire when ready!"
A loud thunk followed by a small whooshing sound and a sheet of flame and smoke - mostly smoke - erupted from the first 8inch gun, followed by another, and another, and another.
This ten-gun battery was taken by surprise, and, with the other batteries, was providing fire support where they could, in response to Antigran and allied distress calls over the radio.
777th Marine Armoured Regiment, Half a Mile West of Las Melvis
"Load clear!"
Yelled the gunner, as the autoloader chambered a shell.
"Fire when you're ready!"
Replied the commander, sitting next to him, operating the 30mm coaxial.
The gunner fired, and the ETC gun sent a DU shell screaming towards a Kraken II.
It was close-quarters combat, thank-you-very-much-sudden-attack, and turret traverse speed mattered more than main gun calibre.
The shell smashed into a weak point, the turret-hull joint, and blew the turret off.
The Marauder sitting next to them took a shell to the engine-deck and bailed out, hopefully leaving the fire-surpression systems to do their work.
SLRA batteries - Salvo Launch Rocket Artillery, a rough equivalent of the American M270 MLRS system - should be ready by now.
Against those rockets, armour wouldn't be much help.
There they were.
A whining sound, followed by a solid whumph as it either hit dirt or enemy armour.
Antigran recon teams were being ordered to pull back to the lines, many doing so only under heavy casualties.
It would be a long day.

"Yes amigo!"
"Ok well, just so you know-"
The corporal's neck exploded in a shower of a pink mist over the map and anyone within range. The wiz of the bullet skidded passed the men as he fell over gurgling and holding his neck.
"Sniper!"
"Where"
"in the trees."
Soldiers took cover and began firing into the jungle to the north. behind them the ID-57 they captured was unmanned, if someone could get to it the duel cannons would be invaluable, but the sniper would not allow that....

Kraken counter attack...
Rocket rained down blowing the area to hell, again, rockets landing targeting for the most part Kroando tanks and infantry, however many Mokan soldiers, took hits as well, as one soldier fired an high explosive round at close range into the side of a tank a rocket came streaming down. The CIWS on the tank aimed and fired, and thus the rocket exploded and rained fire on the tanks and the soldier, destroying both. The commander was crazy, and after seeing the general location of the rockets location from the streams in the air he ordered a full blitz in that direction. His remaining 23 tanks rolled through the dirt roads and jungle trying to crush the artillery positions before they got off more shots.
Argelia Libre was back under Krok control, the paras had been slaughtered by the organized enemy and tank blitz. The La victoria training center was a mess of infantry fighting, the tanks did little, but that didn't mean the paratroopers were doing great. If something wasn't done soon they would be in deep trouble.
"Major! They're coming closer!"
"Fuck it. Call for heavy naval gunfire, bring it in close, all along the lines!"
"Sir!"
Major Dempsey made sure his helemt was on tight and grabbed his revolver - he preffered it over the standard-issue KKS-45s for it's larger round, something that he hoped would help him here.
He stepped outside the tent and looked around as a HE shell from an enemy tank landed next to him, killing a marine.
The Antigrans had made the common mistake of going too far, too fast and they were more spread out then they'd like to be.
They were being overrun.
A Kraken emerged over the lip of a shell-crater about 10 meters away from him, with five soldiers on it's engine deck and the commander on top.
With some degree of ease, he took quick aim and fired a round into the commander's face, the JHP/FMJ cartridge disfiguring him as he was hit.
He fired off the remaining five rounds at the soldiers on the engine deck and flicked the revolver open, putting in a six-round circular clip.
Something had to be done.
---
The whining sound as the jets took off was quite awe-inspiring, if loud and deafening.
They were DD80 Multirole fighters, brimming with a high top speed and missiles, as well as thrust-vectoring nozzles and heavy cannon.
It would take them a matter of a a couple of minutes, maybe less, to reach the areas around Las Melvis.
They had been recalled from their free-lance bombing and propoganda missions, which had hoepfully had some effect, and refuelled and rearmed as fast as the deck crew could move.
In total, the fleet had almost three hundred of them, and they, along with the heavier bombers and helicopters, were heading off to provide support.
Most would dive down screaming right onto the Antigran lines, decimating whatever infantry and armour they saw, while some others would go an help out the Mokan paras.
Even a relatively small force of two-and-a-half divisions keeps it's reserves, and a Marine regiment was being airlifted by helicopter by encircled Mokan positions, to either extricate them or help them hold on, depending on individual status.
Meanwhile, the heavy guns of the old unconverted Antigran fire-support ships were being readied to fire once more as the decks were cleared.
Then, once again, they enveloped the fleet in smoke and flame, belching their heavy rounds.
As the smoke cleared, the destroyers, cruisers, SSNs, and more modern ships were preparing to fire a barrage of cruise missiles.
Set up for supersonic rather than subsonic speed, they would cause immense damage without even detonating, and at that speed, a ballistic missile coming down from straight up, the Kraken's mini-CIWSs would be far less effective, maybe not even being brought to bear quickly enough.

"Shit!" Ramirez ran for cover. The other Mokans were already firing in the direction of the jungle hoping to lure the sniper out.
"Shit..." Ramirez said one more time behind a cover. He was splattered by the corporal's blood. They have to silence the Krok sniper before anybody else gets killed.
"Anybody know he is?!" he yelled at his team.
"No sir," Mason responded, "can't see where he is."
"Johnson?" Ramirez asked.
"I'm looking sir," Johnson said laying belly first on the ground as he looked through his scope trying to spot the target, "and I'm getting close to the jackpot..."
"Well hurry!," Ramirez ordered, then another Mokan soldier was shot by the sniper, "Damn!"
"I hope you saw the flash Johnson," Mason said.
"There you are..." Johnson whispered..then pulled the trigger.
Johnson shot his sniper as Ramirez and the others watched. There was a few seconds of silence...but it seemed to be an eternity.
"That's it, Good job Johnson," Ramirez said.
"Thank you sir."
"Now, we need to find out what happened to that squad outside that depot."

The soldiers rode tanks into the enemy lines, it was unconventional, but at this point they did not care for victory, only the deaths of their enemies. The tank's commander rode on top as it climbed the final hill, he wanted to enjoy this ruthless slaughter himself. As they climbed over an enemy officer stood with a revolver in hand and fired at the tank. The soldier laughed to himself until he took a round in the side and saw the commander's face blown off, he was aiming for the soldiers not the tank.
He rolled off and fell to the ground, to his left another tank rolled passed into the enemy camp firing machine guns and main cannon into enemy tents and soldiers. He looked up and saw the enemy officer reloading, he took the shot and fired his K1 in the direction of the officer, one long burst.
Overhead Mokan Bear bombers had been flying and got word of the enemy tank blitz. They immediately contacted Antigr command and reported they had two carpet bombings ready for their use and were requesting coordinates.
Airbase
"Captain's on the wire, he requests you guys get to the supply depot, we need back up there."
Behind him the soldiers were trying to stop the bleeding in the corporal and the other soldier hit by the sniper.
"Get the medic team up here. We got wounded!"
"Ramirez! take that ID-57, we need one of your APCs to get these men to the medical hanger. There is a direction manual on the driver's seat."
With that the soldier raced for one of the Ironhearts and knew if they didn't hurry his corporal would be dead, along with his buddy.
The Major looked down as blood expanded from a hole in his battle tunic, couring it bright red.
He erupted in a strange red mist and the world went black...
His body dissapeared completely as shrapnel from an Antigran naval bombardment began to crash down, creating massive explosions.
Now was the time.
Two marines ran forward, one cradling a KGM GPMG, the other with a tripod strapped to his shoulder, giving cover.
They threw themselves into a trench and set up the gun.
The operator flicked a switch, setting the gun for it's maximum ROF of 1200rpm, and took aim through the relflex sight at a group of advancing Krok infantry.
As his loader yelled directions and held the belt, the gun spat death towards them.
As a Kraken supporting them came to get revenge, a Marauder got a quick shot in and blew it up.
A squadron of DD80s dived down screaming from the clouds, releasing their missiles and pulling up, to dive down again.
The counter-counter-attack had begun.

Antigr base-camp
The assault infantry was getting mowed down by enemy machine gun fire as the kraken next to them exploded in a fireball of death. The private who shot the enemy officer, Fendrek Lorek, stayed on the ground as the enemy machine guns tore apart his fellow soldiers. From the skies he watched as Antigr and Mokan Planes flew bombing the country attack back to the stone age. His radio Crackled:
"All units, fall back. Bring the enemy aircraft into range of the AA 5 miles south."
With that order he knew the enemy would take advantage of the situation. Hopefully they would have traps set up to allow a safer pull back. To men were still alive and wounded badly. The tanks were pulling back into the jungles. Infantry was hitching rides or setting up positions to defend. He aimed his K1 at the enemy advance, but a bullet had lodged itself in the action, apparently it had saved his life in the battle, he tossed it off to the side and tried to reach for another one....
Supply Depot
Zumwalt was listening to the head set to give the allies an idea of what was going on...
"The infantry training center to the south of us needs help, apparently command has lost contact with the forces at the other Supply depot on this side of the island. They are assumed to be defeated. If the enemy has control of that supply depot then we are fucked. Wait, word is coming in, Carpet bombers are going to take care of it. Do not advance south."
In the air
"Antigr command, this is F-35 flight 12 16, coming in fast. We got AT munitions ready. Peppering the enemy retreat over."
Behind them a flight Squardron of Bear Bombers flew over the Argelia Libre and dropped 500lbs bombs all over the supply depot. Despite the heavily fortified bunkers they kept pounding at them, weakening the structures. Some collapse under the explosions of the bombs but they kept on dropping. More collapsed and then finally, one bomb ripped threw a torn apart bunker and landed in what was tank ammunition. The explosion tore everthing within 100 meters apart, AT rounds flew in every direction and helped destroy more bunkers. Munitions and fuel exploded into pillars tall enough to be seen all over the island.
Once the bombing was done, a mile by mile crater filled black area made up what was left of the supply depot.

Ramirez was kneeling over the corporal who was bleeding everywhere. When the captain requested their presence at the supply depot, he didn't hesitate to move. He was actually excited to use the Kroks' own weapon against them.
"Team! You heard him!" he said as he stood up and headed for the ID-57, "Johnson, Mason, Smith...with me! And for the rest of you, take the other APC."
"Aye sir."
"I call shotgun!" Mason announced.
"Smith can you drive this thing?" Ramirez asked
"I'll see what i can do with the manual." he replied.
"Alright then, Mason and Johnson man the guns"
"Yes sir."
"Will do sir."
Ramirez and 3 of his guys climbed up the heavily armed vehicle. He was both amazed and intimidated by what the weapon can do to the enemy. He was thinking of how lucky the team was for not being engaged by any ID-57s. The he thought of how unlucky the dead soldiers were. He then stopped thinking about the weapon as he entered the cockpit.
"So can you do it?" he asked Smith about driving the weapon.
"It shouldn't be too hard, sir...give me a minute."
"Good, as son as you're ready."
Mason was already in the firing control section of the cockpit trying to figure out how to fire the main gatling guns. Then Johnson was already set with his manned Four Shot-Rocket Launcher pod.
"Alright sir," Smith looked at Ramirez.
"Let's rock n roll!" Mason exclaimed.
The ID-57 caught life and began rolling towards the supply depot. The depot wasn't that far and they could see some smoke coming from the destination. The vehicle would surely drop the morale of the Kroks.
Ramirez grabbed the radio.."11th Spec-Ops APC...do you copy?"
*static* "Yes sir...this is the APC following right behind you." *static*
"Copy that. Ramirez out."
A Medic had ran over to the Major's aid, although of no use to the dead man now.
He just happened to look up and saw the man that had shot the Major, trying to reach for a gun.
The Medic drew his KKS and aimed at the soldier, then pulled the trigger.
A .42 bullet whizzed towards him.
Overhead, Antigrans whatched as the bombers flew overhead, smashing the enmy retreat.
However, the trap would prove a good one - AA Guns would be useless against fast-flying aircraft, but missiles would serve some purpose - the unsuspecting Antigran pilots would hope it was the former rather than the latter as they followed the Krok retreat.

The radio crackled about F-35s and Su-47s on call for anti-tank purposes. Then about the tank depot to the north has been napalmed to hell, and the fire was spreading across the north of the island.
"Shit, did you hear that, sounds like the napalm caused a fire that is out of control. I hope it doesn't spread down here."
A random Krok...
Fendrek reached for the gun and felt a heavy blow into his side, it hurt but the bullet got caught in his armor. He looked down for a second to see the .45 slug in his side, a sharp pain raced up, no doubt a broken rib. He reached for the rifle again, another sharp pain. He over came it and aimed over to the enemy forces who shot him. he didnt take the time to notice pain or what the enemy was doing. He squeezed the trigger, two shots and then a click. The gun was empty. An enemy slug slammed into his helmet, breaking it in half, and the force knocked Pvt. Lorek out cold.
Miles away 3 San Diego Class Interceptor Missile launchers stood next to a mobile radar station. All were aimed to the west towards the Antigr army. They saw the bombers fly over and watched as the supply depot went up in flames. The commander was temped to shoot those down but decided that if they did the "battery" would be open for fighter bomber attacks."

The team outside also began shooting their weapons along side Mokan men.
"Sir I'm ready when you are," Mason said in excitement as he holds the main gun controls impatiently.
"Ready?...Fire!"

Inside the supply depot Kroando forces were scrambling to form a defensive line. While most were pointed towards the airfield, and the direction that the Mokans were, they did not plan on a vehicle attack. To prove this two enemy ID-57s rolled out of the debris and began firing at the APC and infantry on the ground. One fired a High explosive rocket at Ramirez's ID-57 while the other drove in for the ram on Corperal Torres' vehicle. It struck and rammed them both into a pile of what used to be an empty hanger. Once they were both stuck a Mokan barely stuck his head out, brought up a M3 and fired a rocket into the enemy ID-57 the explosion knocked the M3 out of his hands.

A warning light, accompanied by a sharp 'ping' sound, came out of nowhere. Certainly unexpected.
Squadron Leader Barnes yanked back on his joystick, pulling up sharply and doing a half-loop-de-loop. Rolling back over to an upright position, he saw a flashing light on his display as he lit his afterburners to try and gain some speed.
Pulling up again, he pulled his super-strength visor over his regular one and aimed the nose of his plane at the sun, while deploying chaff and flares.
Hopefully these would fool the missile.
To the right of him, he heard a wham and a loud explosion as a DD80 exploded, raining flaming debris.

"Shit, where are those AA batteries?"
On board the MNS Mokastana Admiral Franshaw was busy trying to understand how an AA battery could of survived the massive missile bombardment.
"Satellite confirms location Admiral, launching Tomahawk counter attack. Six total, ETA, three minutes till destruction."
"Good, make them pay, How about the rest of the island counter attack."
"Sir total figures show about 3,000 Kroks are organized for a counter attack across the island. Don't know if the grand Marshall ordered it before the surrender or if it was a plan in the event of being overran. However on most fronts allied forces are holding them back, the airfield is launching a counter counter attack once he helicopters get in there and the Antigran front needs some help on the ground by the looks of it."
"Everyone needs help on the ground. Contact Division Colonel Zamper, tell him to get to the airfield now. On the Antigran get the marines unloading at the former Navy HQ to get up there ASAP to help them mop up. By the looks of it a Krok retreat should put them in the sites of that division."
"What about the Fire Admiral?"
"Let it flush out any enemy forces in the north. Keep an eye on it, if it gets to close to our lines then have the Fire control Brigades take care of it. Why else did we sell them bombers?"

The explosion from the enemy rocket knocked out Smith. The high explosive rocket directly hit the front of the ID-57 causing electrical systems to short out. While Ramirez and Mason try to recovered from the aftershock, Johnson had already recovered and fired 2 rockets at the enemy ID-57.
"Smith!" Ramirez yelled as Smith lay unconscious on the drive controls, "Damn it! Mason, aim at the ID-57 directly ahead!"
Mason was still a little dazed from the blast,"......"
"Smith!"
"...oh...what?..."
"Aim at the ID-57 and fire!"
"..Yes sir!" Mason grabbed the controls and fired at the ID-57 while noticing that a rocket fired by Johnson has met its mark.
Ramirez pulled Smith out from the driver seat. He plans to drive the vehicle himself. He looked around the controls taking in what he sees, then he saw the driver's manual, which he didn't pick up. No, there was no time for that. They have to get moving.
Outside, the Mokans had already fully engaged the Kroks. Ramirez's team on the ground were being fired upon by the ID-57. They barely have any cover and the APC were also being targeted. The APC took little damage (thanks to its Watchkeeper system), but the Meg on the machine gun returned fire hoping to damage the 57 somehow. The rest of the Megs try to take cover by diving on the ground. One of them went down and and the other took cover behind a large piece of metal that was once part of a vehicle. However, a large caliber bullet from the gatling gun went through the metal and hit him.

OOC: actually the Ironheart APC has a nice system called Watchkeeper,
heres the explination:
The WATCHKEEPER includes an F band fire control radar on six flat-panel antennae mounted on the vehicle. When mounted, the combined radar field of view is 360°/6400mils. When a weapon is fired at the vehicle, the Cromwell fire control computer detects the incoming weapons system and calculates an approach vector. Once the attack is fully classified, the Cromwell system determines the best time and angle to fire the active component of the WATCHKEEPER. The response comes from four launchers installed on the vehicle, two on each side of the turret. The launchers can pivot/rotate on x and y axes, and can therefore engage targets in any direction that the fire control computer deems necessary. The launchers fire small metal pellets, similar to the projectiles of an M18A1 Claymore anti-personnel weapon. However, unlike the claymore, the WATCHKEEPER is designed with a very narrow engagement area, minimising the chances of friendly or civilian casualties.
hence why i use them so much

OOC: EDITED, so the APC is still alive and well then:D
Lieutanant-Colonel Jensen was the man in charge of the the Antigran logistical operations at the old naval base, and came running down the gangplank of one of the cruisers.
His 2IC, Major Frenk, approached him as he climbed into a GPL Jeep.
"Why the rush, sir?"
"We're pulling out. Leave a company or two to guard this place. We're headin' out to 'the airfield', I think, the radio message wasn't very clear. Round up the boys"
Within half an hour, the tents and things had been packed and the armour was moving out in a column.
Climbing into an APC, he surveyed what was going on outside as the ramp came up and the vehicle accelerated.

Airfield
"This is flight team 76, we are coming in to assist."
just in the nick of time the helicopter teams flew over and started firing hellfire missiles into the enemy tanks. If you watched more then 20 missiles went into the enemy location. Showing that there was far more then just the initial defenders inside. Radios explained that the area was full of kroks and that they needed to pull back, the defenders were to strong.
"Attacking forces, get the hell out of there. they are pulling Krakens out on you."
Mokan old naval HQ
"Antigran forces are going to assist the airfield, commander"
"Ok then, hold here. Keep this area defended."
On the way to the airfield the Antigran forces would have cross the width of the island, or about 20 miles of barren earth. Radio communication stated that this station was the last major Kroando foothold on the island. Once the battle was over, then the island was won.
OOC: crappy post, im tired
20 miles was about an hours' trip for the Antigran reinforcements, and, as of yet, they were encountering no resistance.
---
At the airfield, Antigran heavy artillery was beginning to arrive - joining the already heavy 203mm weapons already there were SLRA batteries and the famed battalion-level 145mm Mortars, and two of the Regimental 10-inch (254mm) mortars.
Enemy strength would almost certainly weaken under heavy sustained artillery fire.

As Mason fired at an enemy ID-57, it suddenly took heavy fire from some unknown force...what the... he thought. Then, a group of allied helicopters rushed in to support the ground troops.
"Yeah!" Mason exclaimed.
"Thank God, it's about time to shut those Kroks out." Ramirez said.
Ramirez continue to drive the 57 towards the enemy...now with a good knowledge of how to operate. He saw some of his guys on the ground firing at the enemy along side some Mokans.
"Johnson how's it look up there?"
"It looks better now with those 57s silenced!" Johnson yelled from the outside over the noise of gun fires and explosions.
"Good! We continue attacking!"
"Yes sir!"
On the ground, the rest of the Megs continue to advance as well. Some of them praising the attack helicopters for support. One of them was severely wounded...
"Medic! I need medic here!" One of the Megs yelled as he kneel over his wounded teammate.

Supply Depot, Airport
With the other counter attacks defeated, the AA batteries destroyed, the main fort surrendered and in Mokan control, the only remaining point of enemy resistance was this supply depot. Already Mokan aircraft and soldiers were fighting along side the 11th Spec Ops and calling in locations for Antigran artillery. The Kroks were defeated and they knew it, however that just meant they would fight harder. ID-57s fired at the Mokan Helicopters and a few went down in flames. The rest began to pull back.
"Shit we are getting shot to hell here. Some one take those out."
As for the Allied Assault from the airfield, Three Kraken tanks rolled from around debris and met them head on. Firing their cannons and trying to destroy the assault, and launch a counter attack. The first Mokan ID-57 took two shells and exploded in a ball of flame, the other Kraken aimed at the APC and fired.
Behind the assault Hinds were hovering and dropping more soldiers to support the attack, many times firing rockets off as the soldiers jumped. One was a small squad who overheard the cry for a medic and raced to the scene. As the Chaos continued the radio crackled on all channels.
This is Division Colonel Jason Zamper, I am assuming command here, we have 20,000 soldiers coming in to reinforce the airfield. Continue as you are, commanders, contact me when you can, but primary objective is still kill as many kroks as you can. Anyone need a missile barrage at a location?"

Smith finally gained consciousness and looked around acting all confused.
"...ahhh...what happened..."
"Smith! finally you're damn awake," Mason said.
"what the hell..."
"We got hit my an enemy rocket, but we should be fine...we're on full attack with the Mokans."
"Smith, mind if you switch places with me." Ramirez asked.
Smith finally realizing the impact of the situation quickly got on his feet and switched with Ramirez for the driver's seat.
"Johnson! Hit those damn Krakens!" Ramirez ordered.
"I'm on it!"
Johnson aimed for the Krakens and fired the rockets. He saw the rockets fly off trailing smoke. Then enemy bullets came flying in near the side of the 57. He ducked as the bullets ricochet off their 57. The ID-57's main gun fired once again towards the enemy line.
"Sir we got reinforcements behind us!"
Ramirez looked behind them..."Good, the Kroks should be defeated by the now..and they know it"
SLRA Battery
Two Miles Back From the Frontline
The SLRA gunners were having a field day, picking on individual tanks.
Now, however, they had their hands full.
Two of the twenty-rocket launchers were being aimed at the locations of the ID-57s troubling allied forces and subsequently fired, bringing their load down on the enemy vehicles, among the constant Thud-Thud-Thud of the heavy 145mm and 254mm Mortars.
The DD80s were making another sweeping run, loaded with mainly AGMs, and another Armoured Battalion had arrived to keep the fight up.

Mokan LY300s fired guided rockets into the mess, most targeted enemy infantry hiding in rubble or bunkers. One crashed into a open bunker door, exploding with a high explosive killing all the soldiers around, except that this one held CC-AGL grenade ammo and a few launchers. The high explosive detonation knocked grenades all around and detonated many, from the anti-armour, to the EastCHN acid spinners. THe Bunker held it together, thanks to massive reinforcement, but the door was opened and a massive explosion needed to escape. The next second flashed as half of the base was covered in searing heat and acid. a few spinners flew spraying its horrid acid all over the area, covering Krok tanks and soldiers alike.
Behind the ID-57s assault T-90S tanks rolled in followed by the more advanced LY4A1 Wolfhounds. Of the Kraken attack only one remained long enough to get off a second shot, this time it aimed at the Megalithonian ID-57 and fired, hoping the tankacide round would tear through and hit a T-90S on the other side, right before a rocket crashed into the top and tore it apart.
Meanwhile to the west to counter the enemy armored battalions infantry raced into the jungle with AT rockets and grenade launchers, their goal was to pelt the enemy vehicles. However overhead Mokan Bombers were loaded with anti-personel bombs, to coat the base with, on call for anyone who needs them.

"Sir!" Smith exclaimed as he stared down the barrel of the Kraken tank now aiming for them.
Ramirez looked quickly..."Shit, Brace yourselves!"
The enemy tank opened fired. At the same time, the Kraken was hit by an allied rocket...maybe it was from Johnson, but that didn't matter. The round from the Kraken pounded the 57's hull with enough force to knock the people inside unconscious..or even kill them. But this is the 11th Spec Ops..they are trained to ignore pain and try to have consciousness no matter how hard they are hit. Luckily, their vehicle was turning when the round hit. The Krok round hit the corner of the ID-57 and if it had hit the front or side flat out, then the round would've penetrated through.
Everybody inside were a little daze. Thinking about the situation and the condition of the ID-57, Ramirez decided that it was time to abandon the Krok's vehicle.
"Everybody alright?"
"Yes sir...just a little dazed." Mason responded.
"Sir I can't stir her anymore...I've lost control, she's not goin anywhere." Smith said.
"Alright...it's time to bail out and abandon this thing. Let's go!"
"Aye sir!"
Mason and Smith left their stations and headed out for the hatch. Ramirez was the last one out. As he left, he patted Johnson, who was still on the rocket launcher, on the shoulder meaning that it was time to go.
Once on the ground, Ramirez saw the allied tanks behind the ID-57 then he looked at the 57. He was amazed that it took so much damage but it was still capable of fighting. They headed for where the Mokan infantry is as they left the smoking ID-57 behind.

Captain Rivera had finally been treated and despite the doctors protest, was now back ready to fight. His squad finally got the APC they had been waiting on and now was riding up with the rest of the platoon. Being the Company commander he was leading the charge, having his tanks lead the way while a few men went to help with the paras, though that was many C Companies job. His Command APC rolled on when someone radioed in that the spec ops had abandoned the tank they were in. His first thought was to go pick them up.
"Keep the tanks pressuring them. Bring me a spare APC we are going to get those spec ops."
They rolled over to the destroyed ID-57 and Rivera jumped out.

"Never thought i would see you guys again."
"Well nice seeing you again Captain Rivera." Ramirez was quite puzzled on how he's still walking despite his injuries earlier, "I assume the doc patched you up real good."
Then he turned towards where the rest of his team is, "The rest of my team are over there fighting along side Mokan infantry. So it's just the 4 of us. Unfortunately our armor was hit hard so we had abandon it. I'm guessing you're our ride?"

"Yes I am, you guys can take the APC over there, if you want you can ride in the command vehicle, get an idea of what is going on."
In reality he was suppose to be confined to a wheelchair, until his wounds had properly healed, he would live, but the doctors wanted him off the island, but he wouldn't go. So he had gotten doped up on adrenaline and pain killers. hence why he was up and running and jumping out of APCs despite the battle going on to say hi to someone. Tacitly he was all there, his plans were good, however being drugged up his personality was a little.....off.
"As you can see Antigran artillery is clearing the field, along with support from the rest of the division, their armor support coming in was about to face enemy infantry, but so far no reports of enemy attacks. We are going to charge in and start the mop up, satellite shows that nothing is moving anymore in the main base. Let's go!"
OOC: if your tanks roll in from the other side of the base, you can run into a few infantry with AT set up, I should of made that a bit clearer...
A platoon of men, backed up by three Marauders, were approaching the opposite side of the base.
A sharp 'beep' sounded in one of the tanks as the laser dazzler was activated and countermeasures were deployed, controlled by the FITVECOS system - FIghTing VEhicle COuntermeasureS, an Antigran system similar to that of the WATCHKEEPER, deployed.
"Fuck! We need backup here!"

"Shit, what assets do have capable of helping them?"
Rivera jumped back into the APC and slid into his seat, if you looked closely his camo shirt was getting soaked, he had opened a wound again by jumping around. Needless to say the painkillers prevented him from noticing.
"We have a few carpet bombers overhead, artillery support, we have everything available to them except men."
"Shit, contact them and let them know what we got up there."
"Yes sir."
"So Ramirez, what have you guys been doing since I left?"
_____________________________________________________
"Antigran assault this is A Company, we have carpet bombers and artillery at your disposal, repeat , carpet bombers, precision artillery, artillery barrages and surgical strikes for your use, where do you want them over"
"Some carpet-bombing would be nice, it'd flush them out at the very least. I presume this is just one run, we intend to go storming in and surprise them straightaway.
We'll be getting another company of reinforcements, but that won't be for a while yet. Be accurate, over"

The pilot wondered if the antigran knew the irony in requesting an accurate carpet bombing.
"Copy that, We will avoid you like the plague, pull infantry back to the vehicles to prevent causalities."
"First run, on the way."
Using the satellite information relayed down to the Bear Crews in real time they identified which vehicles were allied and assumed that the jungle ahead of them was where the enemy was that. Plotting the run about 300 yards away from the closest Antigran vehicle they dropped high explosive, "tree cutters" as they were called. pretty much they were a Mokan variant of the MK 84, perfected with a dash of napalm and explosions. perfect for cleaning jungles.
With that 2,000 of them fell from the sky.

A Company continued into the Supply depot, all fire support was ordered to switch from massive bombardment to wait on call. However when they got in there was nothing left to call fire support on. Except for a few hardened bunkers every krok vehicle, soldier, and recourse was blown to hell. A few bunkers had collapsed from shelling and a few more had detonated. Unfortunently much of the Krok acid grenades had been blasted open, while it wasnt too bad in some parts at least two bunkers were soaked, burning concrete and eyes just the same. Whole areas were roped off for HAZMAT units to inspect later, however as soldiers who went into the underground maze confirmed, many paths had rivers flowing through them.
However minus a few surrendering Kroks, it could be safely inferred that the island was safely in Mokan hands. A few more mop up missions and all was done.
At the airfield troops were finally landing and unloading Mokan tanks, trucks and supplies. Water, food, and everything the starved soldiers on the island would need. 16 crates of tequila, 20 crates of champagne, and more glasses then an army would need also were there. For tonight, the airbase would be a celebration. Those men who finally had their island could laugh the night away, as their fellow soldiers made sure the night was safe.
A Captain watched from the cover of an MIFV vision/firing port as the bombs dropped, unleashing flame and explosives.
As had been ordered, the vehicle began to roll forward, with the two squad MG gunners at the back of the vehicle, sticking out of the two rear hatches with their LMGs.
The vehicle's modified Bofors 40mm cannon began firing high-explosive dual-purpose, which would fragmentate for a wide surrounding 'kill zone'

OOC: Sorry, I have been busy, and this thread fell to the bottom...
IC:
The antigran kill zone plus the carpet bombing quickly faded turned the once lush jungle into a barren landscape. From the fort the soldiers could see the raising Mokan Flag over the last Krok stronghold. Of course sweep missions were still going on, but with massive forces being flown in via the airfield and on the southern and northern beaches the island was reclaimed. On the radio a call was coming in:
"Attention all allied forces this is Generalissimo Canarias, given the fact the last stronghold is lost all organized enemy threats are defeating, commence sweeping missions, and good job comrades."
The highest-ranking officer on the field was Brigadier-General Brekke, and, in the safety of his command vehicle, raised an Antigran Flag through the hatch and yelled something.
A bullet went through the bottom-right.

The Glorious day....
As Generalissimo Canarias flew via helicopter to the MNS Mokastana he thought of the irony that the treaty that cost them the island was made on a Kroandan Overlord Class Dreadnought, and now the treaty to reunify the island would be made on a Mokan Overlord Class Dreadnought. Already Kroandan prisoners were being housed on islands around the Caribbean, except Grand Marshall Velspar was housed on the MNS Mokastana waiting for the papers for an unconditional surrender. Unfortunately with the absence of Kroando from existence they would have to do something with those soldiers, but Fransico said he had it taken care of, and when the MBSA director says that, it could mean anything.
The Blackhawk landed nice and easily, even though it was hurricane season the weather was nice and calm for today. As if it was God's will to allow a peaceful surrender. Once inside the Grand Marshall, the once proud Kroandan, was now chained to a desk with a pen in hand, ready to sign. Ivan Canarias pulled out from his briefcase the document. Reading it over the Grand Marshall signed, knowing full well that he just signed away any right of him and his men.
The Treaty of Juventud
All property, personnel, and equipment owned by either the former government of Kroando or any of its citizens are now the property of the Government of The Armed Republic of Mokastana to do with as seen fit.
All assets owned by any Kroandan on the island of Juventud will become property of the Government of the Armed Republic of Mokastana to do with as seen fit.
The Island of Juventud is now to be considered a Property of the Government of The Armed Republic of Mokastana, as it was once before theft by Kroando.
Signed,
Adam Jackson, President of the Republic of Mokastana
Generalissimo Ivan Canarias, Witness
Grand Marshall Velspar, former Head of Colonial Government, Juventud
Now the clean up would begin.
