The masked gunmen walked into the mall with their large backpacks and just began to open fire randomly on the casual shoppers. Mowing down people as they screamed and ran for their lives.
Within minutes they were surrounded by police and security units who ordered them to drop their weapons and lay on the ground. Instead, one of the men, a tall gray haird black gentlemen pulled held up a cellphone and dialed a number.
The number was to a pager in his back pack dialed a pager in the younger man's backpack. Thirty seconds later the shopping facility went up with a large boom killing or maiming everyone inside.
So much for the Mall of occupied America.

A video was delivered to CNN with a man wearing a groucho marx mask and using a device to conceal his voice. He was wearing all black and carried a heavy assault rifle.

"We demand an end to the occupation of American lands. There will be more death and violence unless the foreigners leave American territory."

The video and the message was short and too the point. It showed the speaker and then cut to scenes of the mall of America being blown up.
The message was unmistakeable.

In downtown Los Angeles the forieng occupation forces patrolled the street. They had become lax because of the lack of challenges to their authority from the locals.

Joker was driving his green 64 chevy impala down the main boulevard with the gangster rap booming out. He drove slowly by the patrol when the song switched to "Shoot the pigs." a clear play on "shoot the police". As he slowed his roll, the other people in his car and the one behind shoved AK 47's out the windows and began shooting at the foreign forces before they sped away but not before spray painting graffiti on the foreigners' patrol vehicle the words "Free America".

The World Conglomerate nations express their grave concern over the incident, however due to our state of participation in no political actions, neutrality, and action only on business related issues, we can only stand by and sadly watch.

The Red Tidean occupation of the Western-most states of the USA had been a hard one for the local population. The large, sophisticated, infrastructure for their high tech industries had been nationalised and then shipped back to the Red Tidean mainland. The puppet government that called itself the Totalitarian State of America was little more then a facade. Only its General-Secretary(its leader) was a native American, and even then, he was merely a puppet. All of his Red Tidean ministers reported to the Red Tidean Foreign Ministry.

The only thing that kept the leader in power was the guns of the State Guard, specifically the two million men combat formations known as the 1st American Guard Army Front and 2nd American Guard Army Front. The local police forces, recruited from the population, was kept under careful scrutiny by their Intelligence Commissariat 'advisers'. The TSA Army was a unreliable force of conscripts issued with obsolete equipment that actually originated from the black market.

However, the Red Tidean State wanted to test these the Totalitarian America Army's loyalty...

OOC: That's fine. I had to leave for a while for ooc stuff. Thought it would be fairer to start from the POV of my nation being partially occupied.
Anyone else who was involved can jump in.

OOC: Is that 2 million per army or in for both combined?

OOC: Both combined. Each Army Front(the Western term would be Army Group) has a million personnel including logistics and command staff.

As any rich and benevolent economic powerhouse would do, I will maintain my neutral status and declare whoever is the victor shall receive a complimentary badge and a grand prize of 14 billion Yutos in loans for rebuilding lost forces or infrastructure.

The insurgent kneeled in the backyard of a random house by LA International and put the rocket launcher to his shoulder. Aiming at a random aircraft landing at the nearest landing strip he pulled the trigger and the missile rammed into the 747 which had just arrived from overseas.

The American People's Liberation Front released a response to the new movements of the TSA.

Alberto Gonzalez called on TSA soldiers to abandon their masters and join the cause for a free America.

They also called for protests against the foreign occupiers to be held on the weekend in Los Angeles.

Question on the status of the states of American Samoa, Puerto Rico, Kurdistan, Iraq, Martian America and Lunaria or whatever it was I was calling the American states on Mars and the Moon. Also, Hawaii and Alaska?
Was it just the mainland being attacked?

OOC: How about this: All US Bases in the Pacific are now under Red Tidean Control(Hawaii being classified as 'occupied'). The major exception is Alaska, which escaped mostly unscathed, excepting the oil fields and pipelines which were hit hard by bombers. the Panama Canal was never touched(the Red Tideans are afraid of blocking world trade like that). For Iraq and the rest, it's your call. Is that cool?

IC: I10, enroute to Los Angeles, Totalitarian State of America

The sound of gunfire as the riots and revolts could be heard even from the town of Banning, which was located on I10. Nervous TSA Army soldiers sitting in their Soviet-made, black market purchased trucks checked their Ak-47's again and again as Red Tidean. Finally, the battalion began to roll from it's launch point, passing by WW2-era 122mm artillery guns also manned by TSA soldiers, and then it passed by a checkpoint manned by Red Tidean Intelligence Commissariat Tactical Teams.

Unlike regular agents of the Commissariat(known as Commissars), the Tactical Teams(each member known individually as a 'Tactical Commissar') were more like paramilitary then actual secret police. They had all the handheld weapons the regular State Guard had and dressed in gear similar to SWAT teams.

As the TSA Army battalion moved towards Los Angeles, their artillery began to open up. The freight-train like sounds made by the shells passing overhead scared everybody except those who had trained with the artillery, which wasnt very many at all. Those few who had though, managed to keep their men calm as the crackle of gunfire from the riots and revolts became closer.

The battalion's vehicles had formed into a column and were driving towards the city. The T-72 Battle Tanks leading the way, followed by BMP & BTR armored personnel carriers, then the softskinned trucks..

They were walking into a trap.

OOC: I'll have to check my factbook but I don't think my USA has a Panama Canal.

Montell grabbed the disk from his digital camcorder and launched it into his pc. Entering some commands it began self distribution to news networks around the world, showing TA artillery shells exploding in Los Angeles. He made sure to videotape civilians being blown up.
At the end of the video he attached a message: This is the gift Red Tide has given to America. Death and Destruction.


The Americans hastily readied themselves for the arrival of the TA forces and began taking up strategic positions as planned out by veterans of previous wars.

The rebels were a rag tag group equipped with shot guns, 9 mms, colt 45's, M16's and a few blackmarket AK 47's.
They were to be supported by US special ops carrying nightvision scopes, grenade launching M208's, M16's, SAW's, and AT4's. Several were carrying special nightsticks that were actually laser targeters in the event air support was called.
The Green Berets 4th Squad took a couple of minutes to set up claymore mines behind trashcans and inside random landscaping while the civilians created crude IED's using soda cans, cars, cigarette packages and even a twix candy bar wrapper.
