Assualt Rifle:

Overview

The Republic Of Colstream had used the AK47 from 1955 to 1964 when the introduction of the AN-64 in 1965 replaced most of the AKs while some divisions still used it. Then in 2001, the AN-74 was introduced using a 5.55mm round instead of the 7.62 round used in the AK47 and AN-64. But during the 3 Colstream Civil Conflicts in late 2007 exposed the flaws in the AN-74 and the flood of AK-47s brought in by the rebels being re-introduced into the Colstream Army to replace the AN-74s which needed remodifying. By December 2007, the AN-74 was back into service but saw limited service in the recent Cyncian Conflict as the Colstream Army introduced the AK-47s recent varient, the AK-74 which uses the same 5.55mm round as the AN-74.
Now the Colstream Army has decided to ask nations to place ideas for Assualt Rifles to replace the AK-74 as the standard Colstream Weapon.

Official Government Message

The nation of Orbath would like to recommend the AY-142 (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=13268839&postcount=8)

The AY-142 is an excellent rifle and has replaced all Orbathian M-16s currently in service. Though it has not yet seen combat, soldiers on training exercises report that they love it. Another feature of the rifle is the ammunition. A good balance between 7.62mm and 5.65mm.

''The fire selection system works wonders, I don't find myself fumbling with the switch in the heat of battle.''

Pte Reggie Arnold, 3rd Platoon, 1st Company, 6th Expeditionary Regiment

''The rifle hardly weighs anything. I hardly notice I'm carrying it.''

Master Corporal Sam White, 1st Platoon, 1st Company, 6th Expeditionary Regiment.

''The rifle is extremely accurate, I wouldn't recommend anything else.''

Corporal Jeff Green, 2nd Platoon, 3rd Company, 5th Regiment

The rifle is produced by Yanitarian Arms

Colstream, don't you have your Cobra N-whatever assault rifles?

OOC: The 5.55mm round is not powerful enough. A 7.62 round would be better and the Cobra N-74 only has a 5.55mm round. These Assualt Rifles are going to the Colstream Marine Commandos. The Cobra N-74 will be still with the Colstream Army along with the AK-74.

MilNet Joint-Ventures Exports

Aware of your need to replace the AK-74 assault rifle, the MilNet JVE, having already the necessary infrastructure for exports, presents to your nation to the assault rifle that has replaced the AK-107 AR in Third Spanish States Army, inheriting features and ideas from the AN-94, AK series rifles and from the H&K G11: The FA-65 Assault Rifle (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=13482328&postcount=2), which uses the 6.5x39mm caliber, a good intermediary between the 7.62mm and 5.65mm. Although the primary difference being the fact it is a lightweight weapon optimized for use with telescoped polymer cased and caseless telescoped ammunition, part of a homegrown Lightweight Small Arms Program, offering weight reductions of almost 30% for the polymer cased and of more than 50% for the caseless ammunition, allowing a soldier to carry a much larger amount of bullets than what he could carry of conventional brass cased ammunition, with the inherent logistical advantages of reduced weight and the possibility of using effectively a 56-round magazine. An ejection control port also allows it to permit both caseless and cased ammunition and allows a soldier operating it in semi-auto to control the ejection of the polymer cases from its chamber. It, like the AN-94, has a 2-round ultra-rapid burst mode for improved armor-piercing capabilities, while by having a recoiling barrel on its over-engineered internal structure, the FA-65 burst mode actually involves a recoil delay long enough to allow the second fired round to be as accurate as the first round rather than like in some other firearms which feature a burst mode, while obviously it has a full automatic and semi automatic fire mode as well.

Now if the Republic of Colstream military authorities are seeking another level of firepower and accuracy, there is also a battle rifle available, a part of the Rifles Avanzados(Advanced Rifles) Series (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=13482410&postcount=3), the RSA Battle Rifle, a high accuracy battle rifle with comparable accuracy to a G3A3, while being chambered for a larger 7.62x54mm caliber which still is lighter than a conventional 7.62x51mm due to the use of polymer as its case, besides its caseless ammunition variant. Despite using emergent technologies like caseless ammunition, the RSA was proven to be more than G3A3, specially for using an operation based in its design principles on the highly reliable, gas operated, rotating bolt action of the AK series instead of a roller-delayed blowback action. However, if price is not a problem, you might prefer its more expensive brother which is the RBA battle rifle, which uses a ceramic matrix composite liner for its barrel overwrap by a metal matrix composite, reducing significantly its weight with a barrel almost 50% lighter than a conventional steel lined barrel and with improved heat resistance, allowing much of the over-engineered internal components of the RSA to be removed or replaced with lightweight ones without reliability problems, and also for its reduction of weight to only 4.1 kilograms when empty and 4.7 kilograms when loaded with caseless ammunition: the same weight of an empty H&K G3A4. Finally, should you initially choose the RSA but then prefer RBA in the future, the RSA can actually be upgraded and reconfigured to a RBA due to the large quantity of shared and standardized components coupled with the modularity of the Rifles Avanzados Series.

Believing the question of ammunition production costs and reliability will arise, I can safely grant, as a representative of the MilNet JVE, that we have developed a cheaper production method for caseless ammunition without any quality loss which makes it cost competitive with brass cases, while our designs are entirely optimized to be as and usually more reliable than an average weapon using conventional brass cased ammunition. We have tested and successfully developed caseless and polymer cased ammunition created for calibers up to the 7.62x67mm, or .300 Win, and have more than a decade of experience with development and use of caseless and polymer cased ammunition.

Should this message draw any interest for a future contact, we can negotiate further regarding the quantities and needs of your nation. I can answer you any questions you might have regarding these mentioned technologies should you become interested, and I wish you good luck, to make the right choice for your nation needs in face of so many options and such myriad of information this modern world offers and that must be filtered before the important act of decision-making. Thank you for your attention.

CEO Cracker Snarls of Beagle Arms slips a 100 dollar bill in your coat and winks at you, as his gleaming teeth and cheesy smile are all but blinding.

"Why not just just sign your arms deals with us?" He says, while swirling a glass of wine. His minions are sitting around the table, nodding their head like the yes-men that they are. We offer you the BG5 assault rifle, while is being phased out for the new Beagle Arms .328 rifle coming in the near future. Tired of the old inaccuracy of the AK47? I know I was when I fought in the Dashie special forces (obvious lie)! Imagine having a powerful, armor penetrating round that will go through your enemy's vests like butter, and the accuracy of a rifle, all in one! It's super powerful, I tell you!

The price is great! For only $500, yes $500 per gun, your army will be super kickass!

We also have the Armadillo 7.62 X 31 mm gun, which is easier on smaller soldiers and easier on recoil. It is more of a machine gun design, as opposed to the BG5, which was more of a rifle design.

Finally, I have saved the best product for last. I assure that you will not be sorry. I present to you, the H-130 Talon Rocket System. The design was so flawless that our competitors are running for the hills, literally! ha ha ha! (Minions laugh on cue). The Precision design features an improved version of the RPG. We ran this thing through the blender with our comprehensive durability tests, as in leaving it in the snow, throwing it in the lake, etc. Like the BG5, it can survive almost anything! No tank will be safe!

So, (stuffs a contract in your face), just sign here. here. and here if you're interested! I'll get my min- eh... staff on this right away.

Alfegos wishes to recommend the AF-07P, a variant with what we believe you are looking for.

The AF-07P was designed to be as reliable as possible, while still giving a very good performance. As such, all the working mechanisms are protected from mud by the use of airtight sections that prevent dirt entering yet still can be fixed by stripping down the weapon in a moderately clean environment.
To help ease cleaning of the weapon, the chamber is coated with anti-stick film, to allow for dirt to be removed rapidly, yet with the bolt head still able to grip the round and not pose any significant jamming risks.
The magazine section, after being found to cause misfeeds on some weapons when rested upon the ground, was designed with a new double-hold system that stops the magazine from changing position inside the weapon, and giving a definitive indicator with the magazine catch as to if the magazine is properly loaded.
The weapon is provided with two sets of sights: the iron sights, built onto the flash suppressor at the end of the barrel and a flip-up panel just before the stock, use a rotating dial-a-range sight modification to allow for targeting at distances of 100m to 500m at gradients of 100m. More often used however is the 4x Zoom scope, that is easily fixed on the universal mount atop the weapon, and provided at an extra charge of Æ40 per weapon.
The stock upon the AF-07P, unlike the AF-07, is skeletal aluminium and able to be folded, shortening the weapon. Alternatively, they can be provided with solid, detachable stocks, according to the preference of the unit. The weapon uses as much plastic as possible in its construction to lighten the weight, allowing for an even more effective paratrooper weapon.
An underbarrel rail is also provided, able to take all Alfegan additions to assault rifles, including grenade launchers, laser designators and shotguns. This comes with a quick-release lock, allowing for rapid change of the weapon's role, should the need arise in a combat situation, and is coated with anti-stick film to allow for easy attachment and calibration.
The weapon is fully automatic, with settings provided for semi-auto, 3-shot burst, 5-shot burst and full automatic.

The Colstream Military has decided to take this Rifle cause of the 5 fire modes which would stop new recruits from wasting a whole magazine cause of their inexperience with the weapon. This rifle would be good for the Colstream Marine Commandos as its lightweight. Another good feature is the rifle would be suited to the Colstream Marine Commandos Operations in harsh climates.

We would like:

1,500,000 AF-07P- $420 Million
1,000,000 AMGL 98 Grenade Launcher Attachments- $315 Million

The Money has been sent already.

We thank you for the purchase of the rifle, and remind you that ammunition for the rifles (6.65mm AF) will be sent to you at an additional charge of Æ80 per 1000 No.1 Standard Ball rounds, and Æ60 per 400 (30mm AFGL) grenade-launcher rounds.

For the purposes of training, we wish to enquire whether you would like to purchase the AF-97W, a varient on the AF-97 that lacks the automatic fire capability, allowing only for semi-automatic fire. This unit costs only $300, and includes all features of the AF-97. Though being much more unreliable than the AF-07, as well as lacking anti-stick surfactants and being more prone to stoppages and dirt damage, we believe that such things will allow for the cadets and for recruits to be trained much more thoroughly in the importance of weapon cleanliness and operation, allowing for yur troops to increase the lifetime of the AF-07P even further, using a weapon every similar in design and almost identical in basic features.
We note that this is chambered for the 5.56mm NATO cartridge, so ammunition is very cheap and provides less recoil for the cadets/recruits.
