Due to a recent take over by the Ruler Gaius Marius, the elimination of elections due to the peoples lack of support, and the crushing of unions by The Imperial Fist of Gaius Marius; a large amount of rebel forces has been spotted organizing 25 miles East from the border of GMFP. There have been multiple flyovers by MQ-1 Predators (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Twuav_13_02.jpeg). This has shown multiple sightings of thousands of troops lightly armed and multiple sightings of outdatedM113s (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:M113.jpg). A small imperial recon force has captured a small group of rebels. They were in possesion of multiple RPGs and most were armed with AK-47s. None knew who their true leader was, but Imperial intelligence has suggested that the rebels are sponsered by many rich warlords in the surrounding regions of New Rome. They are aggravated at the recent creation of the nation of Gaius-Marius-FP because of the halt of their illegal activites due to the elite Imperius guards responsible for the elimination of criminals. The Imperium has mobilized and 5% of able-bodied males have been called to service in all branches of the Armed Forces. Gaius Marius said this to his people in front of the Imperial Senate House. My good people of the Imperium. I have to alert you of a new threat to the Grand Imperium. There is the scum of the Earth that have organized into a force that think they can harm the Grand Imperium. They are mistaken! We shall crush these rebels and show the world that the Imperium does not tolerate any threats to our glorius nation. Altackia Can send in a volunteer division of Altackian Torchmen aka Crimson Guard(similar to the nazi ss) which is separate from the regular altackian
army and specializes in security and as a political police. In war the Battle Torchmen (similar to the waffen ss) are used as a elite fighting force used for wiping out political opposition or very special missions vital for turning the tide of war. If you so desire we can send them in to help dispose of these rebels.

On a Highway into GMFP

Several trucks bounced along the bump and unkept highway. They were simple pick-up trucks, normally used to haul around things, but these had a more sinister purpose. On the truckbed there was mounted a PKM machine gun, or a rag-tag squad of men with AK-47's and SKS carbines were sitting. Behind them came the rest of the army, over ten thousands soldiers in all. T-55 tanks were the pride of this force, and indeed had been locally upgraded. Overhead, a flight of MIG-21 fighters prepared to run a sortie against the rebel army's latest target. These were armed with 2,000 kilograms worth of bombs and seven MIG-21's would drop these on a GMFP base nearby. General Marcus, commander of the Peoples Freedom Force, or PFF, wanted to surround this base to secure an early and demoralizing victory.

An hour later all the men were in position, 5,000 would be taking part in this attack. They were supported by over forty 122mm M-30 towed artillery pieces which began an immediate barrage on enemy positions. Twenty-four T-55 tanks would also be in reserve for the attack. Infantry teams set up PKM machine gun nests and wheeled KVP machine gun nests. Several Kornet ATGM sites were set up to defend against enemy enemy armored vehicles. The first attack began thirty minutes after the first bombardment, it was a probing attack consisting of a company of soldiers advancing onto the south east in staggered formation. Smoke shells and mortars covered their advance.

General Reno: BgGeneral Houseman! Your plan worked perfectly the rebel forces are in position. Bg General Houseman: Are your forces in position? aide: Yes commander Bg General Houseman: Detonate the mines Bg Houseman was rushed to the Imperium to help in military planning. The potholes and bumps in the road were actually lined with anti-tank(TM-83 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TM-83_mine)) and anti-personel mines.The mines were layed in a way that would split the surviving forces into two. A soldier from the Imperial guard said Their main armored column looked like it was smashed and the area around looked like raw hamburgers. The Imperiums finest armored commander Ronel (Leopard 2) immediately launched at the rebels western flank. It met heavy resistance from the remaining rebel forces. The eastern flank that contained almost all of the remaining T-55's was attacked by the Imperiums 2nd Armored division(Leopard 2) under the command of General Reno. The initial Maneuver worked in flanking the Remaining armored column. The rebel forces looked as though they had started a strategic advance to their rear. A mile away from the base a small squadron of newly bought j-10 aircraft take off to dispatch the migs in the sky.

Mine Ambush

It was a nasty surprise as the first T-55 tanks and heavy trucks rolled over the mines. They were sufficiently powerful enough to outright destroy the trucks and severely damage or destroy the T-55 main battle tanks. Personal that moved to help the injured crew members were faced with anti-personal mines that killed ten soldiers. Mine sweepers and several tanks armed with mine plows and flails were called forward, and several teams began sweeping for mine with mine detectors. Eight T-55 tanks were destroyed or disabled, the rest back up and fanned out off the highway

As this occurred Marcus received reports of an attack on the western flank where the majority of his tanks were focused. Over a dozen tanks were destroyed quickly by the deadly 120mm guns on the Leopard 2 tanks. Marcus knew that his T-55 armor was like paper compared to the Leo's and that their main guns may as well have been flyswatters for all the damage they managed to inflict. He ordered his tanks to withdraw quickly and brought to the forefront BMP-1' vehicles and pickup trucks armed with RPG-29 and Kornet wielding soldiers. The BMP-1's fired off several Sagger AT missiles and popped smoke as several T-55 tanks manvered to the rear of the Leopard force where they could get a shot off at the rear armor where their weak gun would penetrate. Since the enemy had deployed with no infantry support, the tanks would soon be overwhelmed with the combined armor and infantry attack of the rebels. To the east additional anti-armor soldiers were dispatched, they were also reinforced by six MI-28 Havoc attack helicopters using the AT-6 Spiral ATGM. Since each helicopter carried eight missiles, between them and the infantry no tank would survive. The advance would soon resume as mines were slowly cleared.

Luckily about half of each armored division survived because of a rapid launch of stinger missiles as well as the leopards deploying their smoke screen countermeasures. Just as plan General Reno sounded the retreat and the two armored divisions of Leopard 2 battle tanks advanced to the rear. Lieutenant Ardwig of the 3rd Imperial legion (Mechanized Infantry) advanced to the front to counter the waves of rebel infantry and apcs. The two armored divisions supported The Third legion from the rear. In the rear noises of continuous artillery shelling can be heard. The Praetorian Guard (rangers) are supplied with stinger missiles to provide cover from aerial assault as well as to attack at key points throughout the battle. The j-10s are still present in the skies over the battlefield staying dormant until the time to strike. General Houseman prepared the plans for a tactical withdraw because overhead reconnaissance by an imperial predator shows the enemy having an advantage of 3FP:1 Imperial and two rebel vehicles for every imperial.

The Nation of Gaius-Marius-FP (Imperium) is under siege by rebel forces. The Imperium has confidence in its ability to crush these foes, although an attachment of Altackian Torchmen would be very useful in this conflict. The Imperium although slow in trusting foreigners respects and honors support from other nations. The Imperium gives you our word that we shall use the Altackian Torchmen in the best manner possible. MESSAGE FROM ALTACKIAN HIGH COMMAND

We have sent in three planes with a division of 10,000 Altackian Torchmen equipped with advance weapons and anti-armor weapons. They will arrive shortly at a Gaius-Marius airbase awaiting orders from the Imperium. These troops can assist in escorting and guarding leaders in this time of crisis or perform a mission that can cripple the rebel forces. They also will be willing to fight alongside Imperial troops if nessasary. We leave good judgment with the Imperium.

General Flavius the Princeps peregrinorum (foreign commander) had a company of Praetorian guard to meet the incoming Altackian Torchmen. Everything was normal as the troops stood at attention as the planes landed. BOOM!!! The terminal tower collapsed after a huge bang was heard. General Flavius ordered the company to split up, one group defends the planes while another investigates the explosion. A few minutes later the saboteur was found and Flavius grabbed the saboteur by his leather jacket and saw the Dragon tattoo on his arm meaning he was from the rebel forces. He was immediately handkuffed as a jeep arrived to take him to a "Special Facility". General Flavius assured the incoming commander that the situation was under control. The crisis had ended with three dead and destoryed tower. The Imperial troops were relieved that reinforcements had arrived.

After the shaky arrival the troops boarded off the loading ramps of the planes onto the landing strip following the Torchman Major General Samson. He calmly walked in his red dress uniform and his jackboots followed by his advisers to greet the general."My Flavius that was quite the greeting for me and my men!" He chuckled reaching out to shake the Generals hand.The torchmen stood in rows as if they were chess pieces awaiting orders.
