Good job on the factbooks, but you missed mine, on the bottom of the next to last page or something. The map problem is because you copied the URL Dontgonearthere posted, which is shown abbreviated. Bring up the map and copy the URL in your browser to your post. That should fix it.

And yes, my population on NS is 3.3 billion, divided by 50 which is close to the number that I gave in the other thread. @_@ *slightly confused*

also, there should be NO MORE PEOPLE! If any more come, we won't even be able to RP colonies and stuff! We also need to cut down on the size of our nations. All of the Canadian Tundra would be hard to control...

Could I be registered as in, even if I'm not on the map yet? I've got an Empire to build and there a bunch of established nations around me itching to grab the provinces I want to claim. And where do I post my invasions of those areas?

You seem to have misunderstood me, I said I might stop you, not take the land. I really, and I suggest you don't, wouldn't rush into invading lands in "Europe". Traditionally in RP's, those conquests are longer, costlier and, with nations on all sides of this patch of land, can cause a larger scale war if the surrounding nations don't approve. Personally, I like having a nice bit of grey of the map, a kind of buffer state.

Luckily, I did not "invent" the map, most parts of the map are still recognizable.

Gotcha Honako. Tell you what how about we split that zone into two parts. You take the western half, I'll grab the east. It shouldn't be too hard- our armies are fairly professional, well led and supplied right? And the forces opposing us will be disorganised, bickering militia units.
Section 1) Our invading forces will agree to a stop line that they will not cross under any circumstances. (if you cross by accident then withdraw quickly.) I advise that we both move to secure our side of this line quickly so that we have no need to pusue enemy units acroos the 'halt' line. As soon as both our armies have secured their regions the they will withdraw and section 2 will come into play.
Section 2) After hostilities are completed this area will be demiliterised- all military action or movement in these zones will be illegal- but under the administration of our respective governments. Any military action has to be agreed to by both governments and we will both undertake to protect the entire area if it's invaded by another power with the intention of restoring this status quo when hostilities are concluded. If either of us has the need to cede this zone to another power we shall onsult each other first and ensure that the new power agrees to this treaty.
Police forces will be used to maintain civil order and border security.

If the states surrounding this area get upset with a demiliterised zone on their borders we can either rewrite this treaty to include them in for a chunk of land under the same rules or offer them trade concessions. And if you're in a bad mood we could even tell them to back off and mind their own business I suppose.

I staked a claim for what I think is Poland, but I've just had a look at the map and there's no outlet to the oceans. Sorry Honako, but could I get Finland? Call the country the Artic Empire, mark it out in white and put me down for a populace of 11.5 million.
Of course if your talking about something else this'll be pretty meaningless to you. I envisage The Artic Republics as expanding over various art territories and I'm an NI expat living in Zambia (10 monthes before I come home).

Guys, I could edit the map, but there is so much changing that it is too difficult to keep track! I don't even know if some countries that signed up are still playing, or whatever! Can someone please make a list of all the countries and sort out the claims, so then I could figure out the map.

So, to submit a registration-thingy...

I will be playing as the Pudite Empire, under the Jilang Dynasty, (which is technically the same as my modern nation, just technologically behind...) which has a population of 149,240,000 right now.

I don't know how much more information I should give, so I'll ramble for a few more sentences; the Pudite Empire under the Jilang Dynasty has made significant changes from the previous few thousand years of foreign rule under the Pergrini Dynasty; reverting to more traditional rule, this has created an archaic bureaucracy, held up by peasants' support of the popular transversal of power away from the Pergrini Emperors. These peasants have not yet learned why the Pergrini made the changes they did - soon, they will understand the brutal system they themselves set upon themselves, and more and more brutal methods will be necessary to maintain control...

The Jilang army is a force of conscripts, their navy; a force of maritime raiders paid to fight for national defense when required. Technologically, they are not behind, as in government, this is because of the years the Pudite Empire spent beneath the Pergrini.

Now, however, they are unlikely to make too many advances on their own, because although they are a historically advanced society, this throwback is only as advanced as it was before, plus the contributions of the previous government.

In any case, the Jilang Dynasty of the Pudite Empire is ready to face what comes, for better or for worse.

I wanted the southern coast, not the eastern one. Shaped more like the bottom right-hand corner of the continent, down from the little sea, and east from the sea, because I wanted the little island-covered penninsula on the southern coast.

It's a "role-play," where we play at being different roles.

In this case, these roles are countries, in a time period we have agreed upon, on a map provided.

That's what ususally goes on in these forums, so why you would be confused escapes me.

Is there any way I can add on those Baltic states as I orginally planned to make my lands a bit bulker before they were turned to grey. Also, has this started?

I take the north and you the south, your ships get totally tax free access to my Polish ports on the Baltic, I support any claims you may make to the middle bit (which we'll refer to as Belorussia) and you do the same for my claim on Iceland.
Incidentally I'm laying a formal annexation claim to Iceland- a fleet is sailing for Rejavik and Akeuri. If fighting ensues then my marines are ready and picked for their experiance in mountain warfare.

'Aight, when you're ready I can put up a thread. It'll probably be to the effect that Pudite colonists are sailing to 'Africa'.

If you want, you can post there about pirates raiding them or something, or I can include a raid in the post - probably from the point of view of someone telling someone else back on the mainland, because I don't know a lot about how you would go about that.

I'd then send a naval squadron, which you could probably sink rather easily, and the war will begin!

I wonder who to support. My country is a Abolsute Monarchy (should really complete that factbook...) but though religiously mixed it is mainlu Protestant and the Monarchy and government is largely Protestant supporting. However, religion interests me less as a factor.

No. That really happened. The place on the internet where I come from is an RP where you can use absolutely anything as a source for everything.
