The Scandinvans

For untold millennia had the Order of the Eternal Watch served the Eternals and the Eternal Empire in turn. They had kept their oaths to serve the Empire, to defend it against evil, to protect the citizens of the Empire, to maintain the Eternals’ rule, and above all to preserve the Eternals’ ideals. Now though they had failed in their oaths as the Eternals no longer guided them, the Eternals it seemed that the Eternals had gone beyond all known space and that they may well have vanished from the very face of the universe. Due to this the Watch had entered into a state of stagnation and they did all that they could to maintain the ancient unity and strength of the vast Eternal Empire.
Though the Watch had been able to preserve the Eternal Empire through force of arms, they did not have the power to keep the ancient technologies that gave the Empire its prosperity to continue. These methods of promoting prosperity are what the Eternals had used to maintain their Empire, but now the Watch had been forced to take an alternative path to maintain the Empire, the rule of the sword. Using the great power granted to them by the Eternals genetic engineering they were able to subdue any world that tried to secede from the Eternal Empire.
The rule of the Watch was at best tenuous however. The fact of the matter was that without the Eternals the Eternal Empire would either slowly disintegrate, fall prey to foreign designs, or would enter an outright state of civil war throughout the whole of the Eternal Empire. The Watch did know all to well though, as the ones who were the closest to the Eternals they knew fully well that though the Empire was strong, it was held together by the strength of will that he Eternals possessed and due to the population’s loyalty to the Eternals’ rule.
To confront the growing problems that the Watch had encountered in their attempt to maintain the cohesion of the Eternal Empire the Watch had decided to take a drastic measure based upon ancient writings that had been discovered deep within ancient Eternal libraries. The Watch had been able to discover a process which they believed would allow them to call the Eternals back from wherever they had gone to. Yet, the ritual called for a horrible sacrifice of life to be made in order to be able to generate the energy needed. The type of sacrifice needed to generate the energy needed was that of beings connected closely to a large form of energy, such as the Force, the Warp, etc. Though it did not generally matter if they were followers of the Dark or followers of the light.
The Order of the Eternal Watch though was somewhat confused over who should be targeted for the cull. Some of the Watch thought that only the followers of Darkness should be targeted, others believed that the cull should target only those who possessed the greatest threat to peace, while others still thought the cull should target all those who might offer energy to the light that would be used to call back the Eternals. In the end though it was decided that the Dark Empires that posses the power of the Force, or the energies of the Warp, would be targeted by the forces of the Order of the Eternal Watch.
So it was determined, by various studies over a period of a couple years, that the Dark ‘Jedi’ Empires would be the initial targets of the cull by the Watch fleets. To do this a fleet of thousands of Watch ships prepared to enter the domain of the dark force users and they would show them the powers that the watch possessed and they would bring this darkness under the boot of the light after their centuries of escaping the justice that should have been done unto them so long ago.
The Order to realized the great amount of potential energy that the ‘great’ powers of Chaos could produce for the good of their cause. The leaders of the Order knew Chaos well already and had decided that the forces of Chaos must be at least weakened by them for the common sake of the whole universe. Further, the loss of any number of the followers or being of Chaos would please the Eternals and the defying of the Chaos ‘gods’ would serve to weaken any force that might be able to resist the full return of the Eternals to this plane.
OOC: Alright, this my attempt to normalize my Eternal Empire somewhat, at least for the time being, and the force invading has tech on par with the standard Star Wars rp kinda of tech. However, the main differences are that Watch ships can only be commanded by a full fledged member of the watch, that the Watch tend to use melee weapons that can resist a lightsaber but the weapon itself is more of a energized pike that has metal, and that the Watch’s power are different as their physical strength is more magnified, that the Watch tend to form their own mental energy shields around their bodies, use pryokenetic attacks instead of things like lightning, and generally take possession of a body if they need to control it instead of just using something like force persuade.
As to what this, it is more of a standard I am invading you with a army of super warriors kinda of thing and they are on a quest to harvest the 'energy' from their enemies to restore their gods, though the part about bringing back the Eternals through the energy harvested may not be true rp Regarding whom may join any old Force using rper can join on either side if they want, though which side you are on is pretty much strictly you are Light, Dark, or not really affected by this conflict. As well, for you Chaos Warhammer 40,000 persons I will be more than happy to cause a little more Chaos for the those fun gods of yours. ;) However, other nations may take part in this if they promise to take a more limited approach in the conflict, aka I send in all my ships and soldiers to take part in the attack on *whoever*. I do intend however not to force nations to take this a rp that affect all their other FT rps.
If you have any questions/concerns feel free to TG me with them.
