A single ray of light shown down from an old light fixed to the ceiling, slowly swaying back and forth. Creaks from this light were the only sound besides a slow drip of water from the side of the abandoned warehouse. This whole area had been abandoned for months now. People went where work was, and it was not here anymore. Several reasons played into why, but that did not matter at the moment. The Old Factory Quarter, as it was now beginning to be called, just stood by watching time go on without it.

Instead, the place had recently taken on new importance of a different sort, one of value to the few men who were now here. Though crime had not been a problem for a long time, the fact that this area was abandoned made a natural magnet to shady people, with the police following to make sure things didn't get out of hand. That meant that these meetings had to be brief.

None could see the faces of the others. It was important for it to be like that. Should any of them be arrested by the police, nothing they could do to the men would lead them to identify any others. There were four men here, waiting on a fifth. Footsteps echoing announced his arrival.

"I apologize for my lateness. The police changed their route from last time we met."

"It does not matter. Have you brought them?"

"Yes, everything you asked for. They were not easy to come by. Some little punk wanted more than we agreed upon. It took some more arranging to work out, but I was able to. Of course, he didn't have any time to use it."

The sneer was nearly visible through the dark, as two briefcases were opened up onto a table, one containing the money. The other contained blueprints of several buildings, computer disks, and a few other items.

"Remember, this is only the beginning. We have much more work to start, and it will only get harder. The Prophecy said that much will be asked of those who follow it. If we succeed, then we will bring about the Age of Glory foretold many years ago."

"You know we are all here for the same reason. We all know what is needed from us. We will meet back here again, but now we must leave."

The briefcases were handed over to another, and each man left a separate way. The groundwork had been laid, though it would take some time before the next step would be finished.

The Prophecy of Prophet Five had begun.
