La Grande Armee of Corbournne consists of two hundred and seventy-five thousand professional soldiers. The average Corbournnian soldier is only capable of a below-average rate of fire, although typically with great accuracy. Average emphasis is placed on bayonette practice, as musket volleys are the preffered method of attack in the Corbournnian Army. The main bulk of the army is the reserve units, which can be mobilized very rapidly in the event of war.

The common soldier of the Grande Armee is viewed as brave, obedient, intuitive, and lustful for voluptuous foreign women. Colonels and other lesser commanders will usually provide "their own" orders if none have been sent from Command. Discipline is somewhat lax, though not nonexistent. The Pride of the Corbournnian Army is the compassion held by the soldiers for one another. This is also present in the commanding Generals and Marshals, who tend to work together quite well, especially is situations where there is a dire need for cooperation.

That said, when individually maneuvering, most officers have a yearning for fame, and take risks to try to achieve either glory, or death. Those who achieve victory from these tactics are often promoted to the Imperial Guard, a collection of the most valorous and experienced troops Corbournne has to offer. Though they are not much better equipped than the average soldier, they have the best infantry, cavalry, artillerymen, and officers in Corbournne.
