History

NOTE: The following dates are simply the number of years since the first Mu Cephei was born. So 1960 would mean 1,960 years since creation of the first Mu Cepheian while -1960 would mean -1,960 years since first creation of Mu Cephei.

So positive dates can be viewed as after creation and negative dates can be viewed as after creation.

The Unified World of Mu Cephei History
In the year 0 the first Mu Cepheian, a Siberian Husky, came to being. It evolved from a a group of dogs (ranging in the millions) left behind by human explores. Since then Mu Cepeians has been the first and only intelligent life form on Mu Cephei. In 207 a Mu Cepheian created the first tool, a cup to carry water in. Soon afterwards the pulley, the lever, and the wheel were invented. It didn't take long for the first civilization to be founded. In 1820 ten packs of Mu Cepheians worked together to make buildings in an area. They discovered farming and became the first settled civilization. They would not be the first.

Factbook of The Mu Cephei Empire:

Race Description:

Overview- Usually standing at any where between 5 to 8 feet tall the average Mu Cephei is almost always the biggest in the room. Oddly enough the average Mu Cephei weighs between 150 to 350 pounds, but some have been known to weigh over 500 pounds (this is unhealthily though). Mu Cepheians in a way are just large canines standing on their hind legs. Many look like dogs (in fact they evolved from dogs), but some have been known to look like foxes, wolves, coyotes, etc. While they look similar to dogs they are nothing like them. While peaceful among friends Mu Cephei is almost always at war with those who appose them because of this Mu Cephains have evolved over time to survive in harsh environments. Lets start off with the eight most basic sense of a Mu Cepheian; sight, smell, touch hearing, taste, sense of balance, sense of depth, and finally a sense of survival.

Sense of Sight: The most basic sense a Mu Cepheian has. This sense comes from the eyes, the brain, and the nerves that connect the two. Before, like their dog counter-parts, all Mu Cepheians were born color blind. Now all Mu Cepheians can see color. The average Mu Cephei has mildly powerful eyes, comparable to a human's.

Sense of Smell: The secound most powerful sense of a Mu Cepheian. Like their dog counterparts Mu Cepheians are born with a snout which provides them with an extremely powerful sense of smell that is highly complex and advance sensory system. The Mu Cepheian nose is a thousand times stronger then a dog's nose which is already a few thousand times stronger then a human's. Oddly enough the Mu Ceheian brain actually regulates the strength of the smells that the brain can sense. So a very powerful smell is toned down so as not to hurt the nose or the brain when a Mu Cepheian smells it, but because of how strong the nose is Mu Cepheians can pick up a very weak smell from several miles away.

Sense of Touch: Just like a dog's expect that it is slightly more sensitive and regulates feel like the nose with smell.

Sense of Hearing: Just like a dog's expect that it is more powerful and regulates feel like the nose with smell.

Sense of Taste: Is the only sense that is (for the most part) unaffected in evolution. It just like a dog's expect that is it regulated.

Sense of Balance: Mu Cepheians are highly capable of keeping their balance in the worst of conditions. Their powerful body and quick mind allows them to hold their own against any force that may want to push them off their feet. Not only that the Mu Cepheian brain is powerful enough to tell when the body is out of balance or that the body is losing balance giving a warning to the rest of the body.

Sense of Depth: The eyes of a Mu Cepheian work with the brain to constantly to measure the depths of areas. In simpler words a singe glance is all a Mu Cephei needs to know how deep is something, so going down/up stairs is a no brainer and because of this sense (plus the sense of balance) a Mu Cephei will almost never trip or fall. This also allows Mu Cepheians to become better swimmers, climbers, etc.

Sense of Survival: This is the most basic sense in the Mu Cepheian. It only goes active when the brain tells the body that it is in danger and all it really does is help the mind understand what is the most current and biggest danger to the individual.

Culture:

The Mu Cephei Empire's culture can be broken down to these three things; main focus of life is war, strong naturalist ethic and a complete disregard for religion, but strong support for science. Although religion is allowed, there is a lack of it within The Mu Cephei Empire and while not everyone supports war Mu Cepheian culture is based off of if anyway. The populations of Mu Cephei enjoy nature hikes on the capital planet's diverse landscapes, where they may participate in many natural activities like camping. Civil Rights are at an all time high and while Mu Cephei is an Empire most government officials are elected. Power of government is divided evenly among three branches and several levels of government. Thus all populations in Mu Cephei can enjoy their lives without fear of being told what to do or force to stop doing something.

Government:
The government is divided in three branches:
The Alpha Branch (The Emperor of Mu Cephei)
The Beta Branch (Made up of councilors in two separate senates)
The Dynasty Court (Representatives from The Eight Great Dynasties decided who is right and who is wrong)

The Alpha Branch (The Emperor of Mu Cephei):
The Alpha Branch is made up of the Emperor or Empress, their mate (if they have one, and other members of their pack). Usually a member of the Emperor's pack will be sent to another planet to act as governor. The Emperor Usually has a long list of advisors as well.

The Beta Branch (Made up of councilors in two separate senates):
There are two senates; one made up of the upper middle class and the rich, the other being made up of the lower middle class and the poor. Both are equal in power and ensure that everyone in Mu Cephei, regardless of social power, is heard from. Every eight years both senates can pick a single citizen of Mu Cephei to run for Emperor or Empress. When both pick someone the populations of Mu Cephei vote on who they want to lead the empire. No other planets in the empire can vote in the elections.

The Dynasty Court (Representatives from The Eight Great Dynasties decided who is right and who is wrong):
The Dynasty Court has the power to investigate any laws passed and to see if they follow the ideals of the Mu Cephei Empire. If they don't the The Dynasty Court puts the law into vote to see if it should be removed or not. The Dynasty Court can vote to remove anyone from office with proper reason and can even intervene with local court affairs. The Dynasty Court must also approve of wars, intergalactic trade, anything else doing with the galaxy, etc.

Social Categories and Classes:
The Dynasty (Eight in total, is made up of two or more clans):
The Alpha Clan - The pack that is in charge of the dynasty
The Beta Clan - The pack that is the second in charge of the dynasty
Other Clans (if any) - More clans can join a dynasty if they wish to and are allowed to join

The Clans (Made up of two or more packs):
The Alpha Pack - The pack that is in charge of the clan
The Beta Pack - The pack that is the second in charge of the clan
Other Packs (if any) - More packs can join a clan if they wish to and are allowed to join

The Packs (Made up of eight to thirty-two members & sometimes more):
Alpha Leader + Mate - The leader(s) of the pack
Beta Leader + Mate - The co-leader(s) of the pack
Everyone else is equal in rank - Everyone who becomes a member is equal to everyone, but the Alpha leader(s), beta(s), and the Omega(s)
The Omega - The newest member(s) of the pack, they must prove their worth to the pack before becoming a true member. Is the lowest ranking member.

Language:

Their are two primary languages in Mu Cephei; the Mu Cepheian tongue (the Mu Cepheian version of a mix of latin and mongolian) and several other human languages like english.

Religion:

Religion has been all, but disappeared from Mu Cepheian culture, with the heavily naturalist population refusing to believe in any "super natural events or persons."

Education:

Children within Mu Cephei are very skilled when dealing with subjects like math, science, and physical education, with children as young as 28 are able to live on their own in small groups in the wild all the while keeping up with school work. Children are raised with the belief of nature as the mother of all life and strictly taught what they can do to live with her. Students may choose which subjects they learn though out their entire school career which only lasts only half-a-quarter of their life span.

Technology:

Technology is (highly) advanced within Mu Cephei, with Space travel now just an everyday thing, and close-to-light speed flight a possibility.

Medical Science:

Mu Cephei medical knowledge is odd when compared to other life form's medicine. All of it is natural, with herbs and other forms of plants being regularly used to cure many sickness. However, it is still very effective.

Military:

The Mu Cephei Military is separated into 8 branches: Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard, Space Fleet, Space Corp, and Interstellar Police And Trade (IPAT). The mainstay of the military tends to be the Space Fleet, Space Corp, and IPAT as many Mu Cepheian's want to see the beauty of nature on other planets.

Planets:

In the Mu Cephei System:
Mu Cephei: The capital planet of the Mu Cephei Empire, it is the 4th planet from a yellow dwarf star which acts as the "sun" for the system. Has two moons. One of which is technically a large comet in orbit of the planet. Is one of two planets in the system that can support carbon-based life.

Draco: A planet with a large amount of reptiles (hence the name) and is the 3rd planet from "sun." Has three moons and has been the victim of several meteor storms. Is one of two planets in the system that can support carbon-based life.

Blue Ice: A frozen planet with no moons and is the 6th planet from the "sun." Is too cold for any form of life to naturelly appear on the planet and is too small for anything to orbit it.

Gas Planet: No other information about this planet exists besides the following: it is very large, has several moons, 7th planet from the "sun," and has a large amount of gas in it. It is still unknown as to how the planet is warmer then most other planets even though it is the furthest from the "sun" (out of the four largest planets the Empire of Mu Cephei have control over). One of Mu Cephei's main exports comes from this gas giant.

Several other planets are in the system as well and in total six planets are under Mu Cephei's control (out of ten).


Others:
Mu Cephei has (about) two entire galaxies in it's control with about 21 planets in them (in total). Only five of these planets can naturally contain life and two more are being transformed to contain a limited amount of life.

Self-Defense Battle Stations: About 1,200 in total with 200 being the The Spiral of Life (50 being in the Mu Cephei system alone).

Imports:

Copper: Is, by far, the largest import. Several thousnd tons worth of copper comes into Mu Cephei every year.

Different species of organisms: For study of planets, animals, etc. from other planets.

Silver: Not a large import, but still a major player in the import field.

Exports:

Many types of farmland produce: Anything from fruits, vegetables, and even living things. Mu Cephei naturally grown goods are the main export.

Gases: There is a large amount of gases (like helium, hydrogen, lithium, etc.) in the galaxy where Mu Cephei is. Thus it is also a large export of the Empire and is still rising in demand by other galaxies.

Overview: Scouts are highly physically fit as well as mental fit which allows them to push their bodies to the limit. Ask them to jump and they'll ask "how high?" Ask them to run and they will ask "for how long and how fast?" Nothing can stop them when they are moving, but what they make-up for in their natural physical abilities they lose in firepower. Highly mobile and well armored this soldier can only be stopped by explosives. Is armed with dual heavy machine guns as well as a single rocket launcher.

Bio(s):
All three of them are members of the F.E.A.R. Division of the Mu Cephei armed forces.

Mr. Goodmen- Leader of the 2nd F.E.A.R. Brigade. Mr. Goodmen prefers the raw information of life then the "type of life with a cherry on top." He always gets what he want when he wants it and does not like to be questioned by those under him. While it takes time to get use to him he is loved by his unit and is highly respected by many Mu Cepheian regardless of the fact he is human.

Jolly Joy- A member in the Special Troopers Battalion in Mr. Goodmen's brigade. Jolly is well known by her comrades as a soft hearted sniper who, while is never by your side, always seems to be their when you need her. Tough in a fight, she is a prime example of a women who is a strong soldier, but is not a tomboy.

Michael James- A platoon leader in the Special Troopers Battalion in Mr. Goodmen's brigade. His fighting abilities and tough attitude often gives him the appearance of a tough love type of guy while in fact he a nervous wreck. While he is just as willing as the next guy to rush into fights he can't win, Michael does not in anyway likes the idea of leading his men into a death trap. He is overprotective of those round him and this has a habit of putting him in trouble while everyone else walks away clean.

Jacky Ripple- A platoon leader in the Special Troopers Battalion in Mr. Goodmen's brigade. He and the rest of his platoon are often caught in the thick of things and usually lead the way for others because of this he has gained the title "point man." He is reckless though and is willing to make any sacrifice for the mission, the exact opposite of James. This often times put tension between the two.
