Ankara International Airport, Ankara, Turkey, United Federation of Eurasia

Today was a special day; today Premier Zhao of Eastasia was coming to visit the federation. Premier Nasir al Assad and his wife Roxelane al Assad stood waiting with the Eurasian Honor Guard, it was only matter of time before Premier Zhao would get out of his plane. The Premier Nasir bin Abdullah al Assad (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v504/Ottoman01/9cf28c18.jpg); he was dress in a jet-black suit, with a blue tie, with a black trench coat and he was wearing black gloves. Then his wife Roxelane al Assad (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v504/Ottoman01/shak8_jpg_jpgsmall.jpg) she had on long black coat, under it she was wearing blue blouse, and long black skirt. It was cold day with the high at 1 degree Celsius, just it was wise to dress warm.

Premier Zhao confidently stepped off the plane, dressed in a white mandarin suit; Ruiyu Xian followed him, dressed in an identical fashion. The two were followed by Ibrahim Rahman, the Special Envoy to the Eurasian Federation, and Wa Yang, Zhao's fawningly sycophantic aide-de-camp. Ruiyu whispered through his smile.

"They seem normal enough."

Zhao replied. "Of course they're normal, what were you expecting? Oh, you've been talking to Huanren, haven't you? Remind me to have a chat with him when we get back."

As the group reached the tarmac, Zhao flashed his trademark boyish grin at the Eurasian Premier.

"Premier Nasir, I bring you greetings from your Eastasian cousins. I must admit, it is a rare treat for me to leave the UER's borders, and I am honoured that you invited me to your glorious nation. This is my partner, Ruiyu Xian; and I believe you know Special Envoy Rahman from his previous visit to you."

Premier Nasir smiled and said in fluent Mandarin Chinese “Its great pleasure to meet you face to face, I believe we much talk about.” Then he turn to Ruiyi and the Special Envoy and said” Its pleasure to have you here, let me introduce my wife Roxelane.”

Roxelane smiled and said “ It’s a pleasure to meet you all, hope you enjoy the trip.”

After that the Premier led the Eastasian delegation to the awaiting limos, then they taken to the Premier Palace, while on the way, the Premier pointed the many historical landmarks of Ankara. After everyone got out of the Limo, Premier Nasir said” I hope you all enjoy the drive by tour of the city.”

Premier Zhao nodded.

"Ankara is a truly beautiful city, I thank you for giving us an opportunity to see it. Ibrahim told me about it when he returned from his last visit here, but nothing compares to seeing it firsthand."

Premier Nasir nodded and said” I am glad you enjoy the tour..a pity the weather isn’t cooperating for this visit..oh well. Please follow me.”

With that the Premier led him down the halls of the Palace and until they reach the tea room, which the Premier nodded to everyone to take their seats. A servant came in and serves everyone mint tea.

Premier Nasir took a sip of his tea and remarked” I hope you enjoy the tea, so how goes affairs in Eastasia?”
Marimaia

"Affairs go quite well in Eastasia, thank you for asking. The integration of the former Japanese territories is complete, the economy is doing well and the people are happy. How are things in Eurasia?"
Ottoman Khaif
23-02-2008, 02:34
“Things are going well for the most part…we’re busy with the integration of Turkistan and Ukraine..the latter is proving to be very taxing..Yet in the long run things will hopefully work out for the better.” Replied the Premier
Marimaia
24-02-2008, 13:34
"Indeed. We have no doubt that our Eurasian friends will be able to bring stability and prosperity to the former Fourth Reich. Between us, we have brought order to a large part of this planet, always with a minimum of bloodshed. It's a pity that other nations are unable to follow our example."
Ottoman Khaif
24-02-2008, 22:49
The Premier sipped his tea and remarked “ Yes it is a pity, the others must have so much bloodshed to meet their goals..unlike our enlighten powers that have learn to use more peaceful means to stabilize our areas of the world.”
Marimaia
26-02-2008, 00:14
Zhao smiled broadly.

"Two such enlightened nations as ourselves should really cooperate on more issues. Our two nations combined control the vast majority of Asian territory; I would also say that we are the only two nations in the world with true Asian heritage. Greater cooperation between us could only serve as a good example for other powers in the world."
Ottoman Khaif
26-02-2008, 01:34
The Premier smiled back and said “ Ah yes..if our two nations were to work more closely together…who knows anything might be possible…maybe we can start this cooperation by starting up a joint space program.”
Marimaia
27-02-2008, 00:36
"Oh, I absolutely agree. I'm not sure if you have heard mention of Fenghuang Station; it is a cooperative venture involving the UER and the Empire of Layarteb. I'd heard rumours that Eurasia may be interested in joining the venture; are those rumours accurate?

As far as a more broad joint space program is concerned, I think that the Eastasian People's Space Agency would be proud to work with their Eurasian counterparts."
Ottoman Khaif
27-02-2008, 01:16
The Premier nodded and said” The Eurasian Space Agency is very much interested in joining the venture.. after all space is the final frontier..besides I can see our two respected agencies conducting many joint space projects to for betterment of mankind.”
Marimaia
28-02-2008, 23:31
"I am glad to hear it. I was thinking that we should also create a hotline between Ankara and Beijing; that way we can reach each other directly without bureaucracy getting in the way of issues which require immediate solutions."
Ottoman Khaif
29-02-2008, 02:06
Premier Nasir thought for a moment and said” This idea of hotline is very good idea..I am for such idea which allows our nations to deal with situations more quickly and effective. To further this sprit of cooperation, I believe it might be best to have our nations host a cultural exchange…a trade expo in matter of speaking to promote better understanding between our nations.”
Marimaia
02-03-2008, 13:00
"A cultural exchange and trade expo would be most welcome. The Eastasian people are always eager to learn about their neighbours, and the possibility of increasing trade is always a bonus."
Ottoman Khaif
02-03-2008, 19:11
The Premier smiled and said ”Glad to know that both our nations are eager to learn about each other. Let this be the beginning of a new era of openness between our nations.”
Marimaia
04-03-2008, 12:51
"Indeed. A thought occurs to me; perhaps our nations could explore other cooperative ventures. If the Eurasian Federation are amenable, perhaps we could start a limited exchange of intelligence information. I say limited because the only information we would need to share is information regarding potential threats to Asian stability. For instance, if we discovered evidence of an anti-Eurasian organisation, we would hand over what we had discovered and continue to update you.

Of course, I'm not saying that our nations have anythign to be concerned about at the moment, but in this world you can never be too careful."
Ottoman Khaif
05-03-2008, 01:55
“Hmm…Joint Intelligence you say.. one more step closer to true openness between our powers…I am for this..yet the details must be worked out between our two respected Intel agencies.. Perhaps we should conduct joint war games in the Central Asian theater to show the world that two chief Asians powers are capability of cooperating in the battlefield and to show that our relations are that closer to support such war games.” Said the Premier
Marimaia
06-03-2008, 21:28
"That sounds like an excellent idea; I'm certain that the Eastasian Central Command will be in favour of war games. Unfortunately, I doubt that many nations would see our war games as a good thing; the more paranoid powers might think we are preparing for a war against them.

As for the intelligence cooperation, my Security Minister can broach the subject with his Eurasian counterpart and go from there."
Ottoman Khaif
07-03-2008, 02:14
“I see your point, Premier..yet I must say we can point out to those paranoid powers that our war games is a sign of mutual cooperation and to maintain the peace in the region. Nothing more then that…if they wish we could even invited them to send observers if that’s acceptable to your government.”
Marimaia
09-03-2008, 16:14
"Well, I think we would feel comfortable with observers provided that only certain nations were invited. I have no doubt that those not invited would attempt to use satellite technology to observe anyway, but that is besides the point. There are some nations that we would prefer to keep at arms length."
Ottoman Khaif
09-03-2008, 22:29
“I completely agree with you on the matter. So are we in agreement for war games then?” asked the Premier
Marimaia
12-03-2008, 00:16
"Indeed we are. Our respective Defence Ministries can sort out the exact details, I'm sure."

Zhao smiled at Nasir.

"I must admit, you're one of the most rational individuals I've ever had the pleasure to meet; Eurasia is certainly blessed to have such a leader."
Ottoman Khaif
12-03-2008, 05:12
The Premier wife smiled and thought to herself” Rational…right..”

The Premier smiled back and said” Same goes to you Premier, this goes to show the world, the best set of leaders for nations like ours are those are capable of being rational most of the time. Now I believe we done enough talking on geo politics for the time being, its now time for Lunch, Please follow me.” Said the Premier and he led them down hallway to the dining hall, where lunch was ready to be served.

The Premier speaks to the chief in Persian to what was on today’s menu. He found it was a Mixed of Turkish and Persian cuisine, he nodded in approve of the dishes. And then he turn to his guest and said “ I hope you all enjoy Turk-Persian cuisine, please be seated, lunch shall be served shortly.”
Marimaia
13-03-2008, 21:32
Premier Zhao smiled.

"I must admit, I've never tried it, but I have never been afraid of trying something new."
Ottoman Khaif
14-03-2008, 05:31
“ I hope its to your liking Premier.” Said the Premier, with that Lunch was served. It consisted of a number of Persian and Turkish dishes such as beef, chicken or lamb kebabs, and other typical Middle Eastern dishes.

After everyone took a few bites out of the numerous dishes, the Premier wife asked the question “ Premier how do you like the food so far?”
Marimaia
16-03-2008, 22:12
Zhao politely finished his latest bite before answering.

"It's delicious, I must thank you for the opportunity to taste such delights. I think I'll have to get my kitchen staff to try their hand at this, it's certainly something i could get used to."

He glanced over at Ruiyu, who was wolfing down his serving.

"I can see that I'm not the only one who thinks so."
Ottoman Khaif
16-03-2008, 23:28
“I am glad to hear that..I believe we can arrange for some of recipes to be send to your kitchen staff.” Said the Premier Wife

“So how’s the cuisine in Eastasia?” asked the Premier
Marimaia
18-03-2008, 17:13
"At the moment we're experiencing a 'fusion revolution', all of our top chefs are coming up with fusion cuisine drawing upon the native cuisine of our member states. One of my favourite dishes has to be Satay bee hoon, being from Singapore I grew up with it, but it's now reaching a wider culinary audience.

Aside from the fusion cuisine, purely Japanese cuisine is popular as well. Nihon State has been a wonderous addition to the UER, not least for introducing my tastebuds to sashimi."

Premier Zhao grinned. "At some point you should visit the UER, and I can return the favour for this feast."
Ottoman Khaif
19-03-2008, 00:36
The Premier smiled and said” I would love to visit UER and try some of your nation cuisine…perhaps within two months time, if time permits. “

“Yes, it would be nice to see the many historical sites of your nation.” Said the Premier wife

OOC: Kinda running out of ideas, if you have anything you want to discuss about go ahead..if not we can rap things up.
Marimaia
20-03-2008, 00:22
OOC: I think we've discussed everything we needed to, might as well wrap it up.

IC:

Premier Zhao flashed his boyish grin.

"I would be delighted to host you and your beautiful wife, Premier Nasir. I only hope that I can prove to be as successful a host as you have been to me."

He turned to Nasir's wife.

"We have many historical sites which I am certain would interest you. We have taken great care to preserve our heritage as much as possible, so that later generations can look back with pride at their predecessors."
Ottoman Khaif

The Premier and his wife nodded in agreement, they kept discussing about other matters (cultural and etc) thought the meal. After they finish eating, the Premier Nasir and his wife took them back to the airport and saw them off back to Eastasia.

This meeting was fruitful one for both sides, the Eurasian Newspapers call the meeting, a sign of an era of peaceful relations between the two powers.
