The Dominion of the Void is a large empire outside of the Galactic Rim, in the Varius galaxy. Their society is made up of various races, with the Humans making up the majority of the population. The entire collective consists of Humans, Unggoy, Sanghelli, Turians, Asari, Romulans and Mandalorians. They all do a role in the group, trading their skills for the other's.
Their territory consists of about 73% of the Varius galaxy, making it the superpower of their local cluster.
History:
The first recorded documents after the Civil War, where all recordings of population were stopped due to the huge amounts of people killed by the cluster nuking of Divine Varandia, start under the reign of Emperor Sojorn Hlaau. This was before the Dominion was founded and the only race in the Void space was the Humans. However, after the planet Karas was completely under the rule of the 4 houses, the eyes of the nation looked to space.
Utilizing at first small scout ships, they found an anomaly in the local cluster. It was a completely spherical asteroid field that bounced back any signals sent into it. Each and every expedition sent into it, manned or unmanned, was lost after two days. When a expedition finally got through and survived long enough to report back, they found the old ships derelict. The ships were completely intact, with engines and shields still fully functioning and all the escape pods onboard. They also survived long enough to send a shuttle, carrying ZPM's and Faster Than Light drives. There were huge ships and gates of unknown origin. They were, however, highly advanced. They used this technology to overpower many of the races and planets in the sector, then stopped after about 370 years of aggressiveness.
