almost a year ago i started something like this, but got busy and couldn't continue...it seems to have died since...but anyway

not alot of detail placed in this post, but i like opening things for discussion...

The main idea behind this is that somehow different parts of the Stargate universe from different times suddenly merge with the Trek one

The Stargate timelines go as such:

Pegasus Galaxy during the Alteran-Wraith war(excluding Asuras, and the travelers, who would be just before "Be All My Sins Remeber'd"
Ida Galaxy during the Asgard-Replicator war
Milky Way would have the Free Jaffa Nation, Earth after Unending and the Goa’uld during the time of Anubis
And the Ori as of "Unending"

And Star Trek would be set during the dominion war

This is a nation and character based RP...

I would like to Rp as the Gorn Confederation...

there isn't allot of information on a "modern" Gorn Confederation though, is there?

so far as i know, they are not seen outside TOS and ST:E...might be a bit hard with the lack of up to date info...then again, we are using a "mixed" timeline...not sure exactly what is around for them overall, but i guess thats ok.

cool, this sounds liek the place to test my idea for a ST story. i assume that we can claim the Federation, then, since someone has already claimed Species 8472. i was about to ask you to make this again lol, anyways, can you change the goa'uld strength, they wont stand a chance during Apoohis. give them there full potential, give them Anubis.

i suppose that is true, the primary thought had been that at Apophis's rise to power, the Goa'uld where relatively more stable then at the rise of Anubis. but then, they are effectively united as a single faction.

ok, so would it be a single person i can use, or is there a character limit. i would think, given that SG would involve SG units, this would be somewhat team-based.

depends on how many we get, and who wants to make the opening thread(i tend to not want to do it majorly, thus leaving it to others, generally should be someone very good...like the first one had before...)

I would like to take the SGC and Atlantis Expedition. That would be a fun challenge, even with the Asgard tech that we now have, what with Carter being in another galaxy, O'Neill all but retired, and having to devote resources to both the war with the Ori and the Wraith.

Due to a bush crash at my school (http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/02/19/school.bus.crash.ap/index.html) that killed four people i knew and injured others. I am going to leave NS and the draftroom for the next week so i can have some time to clear my head. I got off that bus less than 10 minutes before the crash. I hope you all understand.

Ridiculous though this may be, but in the right hands it might actually turn out to be quite good. The problem is that the past of Star Trek doesn't say anything about a Stargate or a race of murderous snakes populating the Milky Way, among other things.

Kinda reminds me of the Star Wars m. Star Trek one where I connected them via wormholes and Transwarp Conduits. Heh, playing as the Borg was fun, though I am not very good at it.

Sorry, I had an idea already for a ship name...

btw, my rp-ing will focus heavily on an idea extracted from Voyager: Elite Force. My understanding is that w/ the threat of the Dominion, Starfleet created a Spec Ops force (or there probably was one, but its never mentioned). So i'll be focusing on that. The ship will be the one the team is embarked on.

I intend to RP as Captain Klag of the I.K.S. Gorkon, but will be other Klingon's as needed...

How would they get there? The only gate access is through atlantis, and the Goa'ul hyperdrives would take atleast 2 months one-way.

Because the difference is that he can know, he just can't get there unless he takes earth and atlantis.

Well, i guess he will have to send a fleet to one of the abonded city's, which would take about 2 months as you said. I just want some rare Goa'uld vs Wraith contact, and a small base, just like atlantis, the ancients left many cities abonded.
