-Introduction
In the beginning there was only Muncherius, the sentient abyss of a universe. For eons Muncherius stagnated alone, becoming insane as time passed. Muncherius did not know why he existed or where he came from, only that he was infinite and that the negative forces building up within him would have to be expelled. Eventually they built up to the point that they could no longer be contained, and were released from Muncherius' mind and into his infinite self. These were the first 'gods', representations of the Earth, Planets, and Stars.

These new beings, each ruling over a basic group of celestial bodies, also built up negative energies. Iuxanus contained these, but Iumus and Peregrinus generated female versions of themselves, with whom they quickly mated. Iumus and his wife Toc generated the all-knowing Donutus Aeronoticus, the God of Life and Death. With the power over all life and death, Donutus Aeronoticus eased his boredom by creating the first 'living' Gods. The brothers Matthius, Kiroanus, Franus, and Sukarus were born.

These brothers wished to create a kingdom for themselves. Searching through the infinite abyss that was Muncherius for a suitable planet, they eventually came upon Earth. Matthius took control of the seas, Kiroanus took control of the mighty Sun, and Franus took to the sky. Not content with ruling something as simple as his brothers, Sukarus requested that Donutus Aeronoticus create for him lower creatures to rule. Thus the first living beings came to life.

Sukarus, with his wife Siria (daughter of Peregrinus and Childia), created a dynasty of Gods. His son, Dumus, had half-gods children with dozens of human women while his second son Sodus and daughter Rarlu the Destroyer married and had half-gods of their own.

On Earth, humanity florished, but eventually Muncheria had to expel another wave of negative energy, this time hoping to do so for good. He was only partially successful, and generated Clintus, a blight of stupidity that manifested itself within humanity at times. This caused humanity to faulter, leading to the imperfect societies today.

[U]-Heroes
In the early ages of the land of Zukariaa, the Kingdom of Taradoxica and the Empire of Kahsria went to war for nearly 100 years. During this time, the heroes of old emerged. Cravius, considered the greatest of the old heroes, was cited as destroying an entire Kahsrian army on a plateau by simply punching the ground. The strength that he wielded caused the very space around them to crack and splinter, and Muncherius himself was wounded for the first time. The entire army fell through Muncherius himself and into the Underworld, trapped there forever in a space between life and death.

Wilus, a Taradoxican, challenged Dumus, the God of War, to a fight to decide the fate of the two warring cities. He said that if either could land a blow on the other, their respective cities would win. Wilus was thought to be crazy, and Dumus' Godly might seemed as if it would overpower him. However, Wilus held his own and for nearly a decade the two sparred, never stopping. During their fight, they moved like a savage storm through villages and other cities, destroying everything in sight. By the time Dumus finally landed a hit, the war had been over for three decades and Wilus' body had given out due to old age.

Praetus was a brilliant military tactitian who fought a devastating sea battle against the Kahsrians off the coast of Lahl. Though every other ship was sunk, Praetus flagship stood strong against three hundred enemy ramming ships. As each crashed into his ship, it splintered and fell. As each one's crew boarded, they were forced back. Eventually the fatigue killed every man on his crew, but Praetus won the battle; he was the only survivor.

During the war, a hero by the name of Temus Iunus, with his half-brother Gengus Canus, invaded from the far north (it has yet to be determined where they came from, as the lands of the Caligulans are too far away, however, they are exceptionally foreign for the area the war was taking place). Their forces swarmed across battlefield after battlefield. Kahsria and Taradoxica momentarily joined forces to push back the invaders, but not before losing every army up to 10km of their capitals, the majority of their crops, and almost all of their fighting men. It is still to this day unknown whether or not the two brothers died in the war, as a small surviving group returned north never to be heard from again.

The war eventually ended when the Taradoxican hero Camfus lead every last surviving man of Taradoxica into a confrontation with Kahsria. The fight was intense, but it was won, and Taradoxica claimed Kahsria as its own for two hundred years before finally being pushed out again.

Temple Officials Call Out to Foreign Countries

[I]Issue of 15-02-XX
______________
EARLY this morning Temple officials claimed that Zukariaa should,"reach out and explain to the people of the world what our great religion stands for." They say that the Temple should be allowed to reach out to foreign countries, acquire land, and build temples. At the moment, temples in other nations are built by large emigrant communities, but the government has strictly prohibited Temple officials from spreading on their own. However, that has changed.

After some pressure from the Temple, Emperor Conrad II released a statement of agreement, apparantly a drastic change of heart and a first for any emperor so far. He said,"if the true word of the Gods is to get out to the people of the world, then I believe that temple officials have the right to show them that word. Hopefully they will see the light and chose the correct path."

It has been specifically stated by Temple officials that no temples built in foreign countries will ever match the scope and beauty of those found in Aiur and other cities in Zukariaa. The Sukarus Magnus, the largest (though not talles) structure in Zukariaa is found in Aiur and houses nearly 20,000 Temple novices and monks, many in training to serve their selected God in another temple. The Sukarus Magnus is a place of pilgramage for all Zukariaans, having thousands of visitors daily, many of whom wish to kiss the giant golden feet of the God-King Sukarus.

It is yet to be seen if nations will agree that our religion should be spread. This afternoon a Temple notice was sent out to the world requesting to negotiate the buying of lands throughout the world for the construction of temples.

OOC- For those of you who went 'lol tl;dr', this is a thread for all the information on Zukariaan Paganism. The last section is about the Temple finally opening up to the world. If you want Zukariaan pagans/temples in your nation, say so IC in a communication to the Temple and you can assume they've bought the land and moved on in. Otherwise, feel free to comment!

IC:
Salutations Zukariaan Brothers,

It has come to my attention that the Church of Zukariaan Pagans wishes to spread beyond the borders of Zukariaa. While I am not largely in favor of many religious beliefs, I believe strongly that this religion is worthy of aiding in the progression of society beyond other, far inferior, belief systems. As such, I grant the Church tax exempt status. It, along with the Church of Doomani Catholicism, are the only two Religious Institutions within the Glorious Military Junta exempt from a 10% tax on all assets. I hope that we can coordinate together to spread the light of civilization to those without.

P.S. We would appreciate the correct term "Zukariaan Polytheist" to the word "pagan", or the Temple of Sukarus.

Your religion's followers in Errikland has recently passed one million, and we have officially recognized it as an official religion, automatically granting it, among other privileges, tax exempt status. We felt it best to inform you of this.

OOC - Bump. Changed pantheon a little.
Kahanistan
25-02-2008, 04:51
[OOC: Got rid of Ghayfagu, god of Bad Inhumanity? He'd have found more worshippers here...]

Despite the mutual dislike between Kahanistan and Zukariaa, roughly 10,000 practitioners of Zukariaan paganism, mainly converts (few Zukariaans were likely to immigrate to Kahanistan in the best of times, let alone when it was half ready to cut off the Praetonian hand feeding it) lived in Kahanistan. A large temple had been built in the capital of New Masada, with roughly a dozen smaller temples in other areas where pagan converts tended to congregate.

The religion was tolerated by the authorities, as were all religions. Freedom of religion was so treasured in Kahanistan that a political party rooted in the ideas of the Doomani Church, sworn to the destruction of the Republic, had been allowed to run, though it had elected only a few Senators in districts where deviants had gathered or people were dissatisfied enough with the major candidates to cast enough protest votes for them. Given these people had actually been allowed to put a Presidential candidate forth, Zukariaan paganism would certainly not be persecuted.
