An emmisary from Natelanda has arrived to discuss the topic of Imperialism

South Lizasauria's meritocratic council was going about as usual, the best of South Lizasauria would debate on how to make the nation a better place to live in. A nationalist who was also of the bloodline of a lizasaur family which suffered under imperalist oppression throughout South Lizasaurian history stepped forward.

Nationalist council-member: My colleagues, my fellow South Lizasaurians, both humans and lizasaurs alike throughout our bloody history have suffered from the effects of imperialism whether it was direct or indirect and I ask this council, should we go out of our way to stop all imperialism in the area? Should we make sure other peoples don't suffer as we did?

A wormy looking human with a really pointy nose, black hair like that of a tarantula's and a greasy face squirmed in discomfort knowing that because of him and many other leaders inside the South Lizasaurian government the South Lizasaurian military was guilty of the crime of imperialism. He stood.

Man: You do not expect us in full sincerity to meddle in world affairs just to satiate you-

Nationalist: Silence! I merely ask that our nation makes the world a better place.

Mediator[guy who calls council to order when things get heated] ORDER! *hits wooden block with mallet that judges use*

General: I must object to this proposal for it would unnecessarily put us at odds with all foreign super military powers and jeopardize national security.

Scrulp, a more cowardly and passive man stood nervously who always makes the proposals for cowardly compromises.

Scrulp: W-Well, w-w-wee can alw-ays rep-p-port any- imperialism our intelligence picks up to gr-gr- *screws up face in concentration* greater...hehe powers *puts on forced grin to mask his nervousness*

Councilmember: *whispers to another* Why is this git on?

Other one: Because he's the best at getting us out of some sticky situations through the use of cowardly compromises and diplomatic means, this man, if you can call him a man...its as though this mouse of a human being was placed on earth to make all the fluffy feelly diplomatic comprimises and treaties that got our nation out of trouble.

Councilmember: But the problem is...his compromises are no longer being respected, more and more nations neighboring Grecia are beginning to show animosity towards us, we find ourselves abandoning his "Treaties" if it wasn't for the unsafe world stage we wouldn't be heeding this nationalist's rant of bloodlust and revenge. We need and excuse to suppress unfriendlies like Allanea and Leafanistan. Secondly this mousy bastard's policies make use look like cowards.

Other: Well maybe thats the reason other nations are beginning to respect us less and less. I think once we use a little military muscle they'll start respecting us again. What we need is some incident which gives us an excuse to show off our military, once we blast the smeg out of them the world will think twice before messing with us.



OOC: Basically my people are getting xenophobic and are planning on taking out those whom they believe are a threat quickly and decisively.

IC:

Field Marshall Goerroff: Let's face facts, this isn't about imperialism at all, this is about national security, we all know that it's being threatened, we all have xenophoic feelings right now. Lets not kid ourselves, our enemies are plotting against us, its time we struck back. We strike Leafanistan first.

South Lizasauria's military prepared for the operation, already South Lizasauria's space corps had ships in orbit acquiring satellite images of Leafanistan's WMD's and other key facilities such as nuclear power plants, industry and other areas of military importance.
