OOC: Alright, TPF has asked me to take a look at this, and I'm seeing a few things that I would consider problems.



Alright, this part about a "peaceful demonstration" conflicts with an earlier post of yours.



Alright, clearly here, you state that the protesters end up killing foreign citizens, and are attacking a base housing troops of the occupying power. Both of these things are generally considered to be a bad idea. Another issue is that clearly, the troops loyal to the interim government were incapable of holding back the masses, forcing the hand of the occupation forces to act.

Were this truly a peaceful demonstration, there wouldn't have been people killing foreigners, or shooting at military bases. Once you're armed and attack a military base, the term "innocent civilian" no longer applies. It may be unfortunate that many thousands of people died who did not actually participate in the attacks which other protesters did, but by associating themselves with the instigators, they're getting involved in a really, really bad situation.

Just a head's up, once open rebellion and large scale figthing erupts between Greal and TPF forces, I will be sending in troops to support TPF.

In this age of video blogging and helmet mounted audio-visual recording equipment, I doubt you'd convince too many people outside of your (should they exist) propaganda ministries that a full scale armed attack on foreign troops and compounds was made by noncombatants.

Look Inc has a private air base near Sasha. I guess I should have said a private military (Look Inc also has a navy, but It has a few naval ships to escort its cargo ships, but all of them are currently overseas, away from your fleet.)

I held off the Sea Sparrow launch until they got in range. so the Firestorm attack then the Sparrow attack in about 3 seconds since that is how long it took for them to get into range...

anyways i got to get some work done, be back later...

What do you mean, in range? I launched them at 300 kilometers, which means they would get there in sixteen seconds, also, since you would not detect them until 100km, that means they impact within five seconds if I am doing my math correctly. Enough time for one volley, certainly, but not two.

I mean the Firestorms have a range of about 500km while the sea sparrows have about 30miles, so it is to separate volleys technically but just because it is from separate ships meant for separate times, it just so happens your missiles are fast enough to where they were fired at about the same time.

The idea was to fire the firestorms for when they were farther then 30 miles out.

so just consider it all one volley if that makes it easier

You're probably right, my math could have been off. I did was 300 kilometers which is 300,000 meters and then as it goes 300 m/s then fit that into 60, for one minute, then 1,060 m/s as it closes into terminal phase. One moment as Chevyrocks is kindly doing it.

so I got about 4-5 minutes for the missiles to make it...(4.717)

300,000 meters / 1060 to get seconds...then divide that by 60 to get minutes

Its actually 16 minutes taking into account cruise thrust and terminal velocity. My apologies. I shall respond soon taking the second volley into account.

Unlikely as planes are faster and my fleet could follow you.

I don't have a problem with your latest post other than the fact that you are reloading the VLS tubes. You cannot do that at sea except for by specialized reloading vessel, and even then it would take several hours to complete. I am not sure how the reloading mechanism for the firestorm works.

The equipment was already there.

They're flying there in mass transit. Planes going 20 minutes apart from each other, carrying a couple hundred loads of people.

I am up for Peace Talks, and wouldn't mind sitting in and making suggestions. Not to mention that I have some tech that I want to sell Greal to help them become more self-sufficient. Figure that it will start with that and I can influence some more subtle changes and influence in Greal.
