Earth II Interest / Recruitment Thread [OOC]

You've all seen it, the Earth II thread, almost 22,000 posts long, over 285,000 views and that isn't by chance either. Going strong now since November 2004, Earth II remains a staple point in International Incidents. Always being open, Earth II has recently opened up a significant portion of land that is specifically reserved just for newbies. We would like to extend to you [the reader] a direct invitation to Earth II and here's how you can join. It's really simple. All you have to do is go to our thread 'Earth II' - Revitalization [Longest Running Earth] (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=373378) and sign up with some claims from below and you'll be set. There is no minimum age, population, experience, or anything else for that matter. We welcome all NSers and many have found Earth II to be a big home for them. Here's some quick information on us:

New land is always opening up and our members are more than often willing to negotiate land trades, which often could see you with a much better position. So join up and we hope to see you soon.

PS: Just because you belong to Earth II doesn't mean you have to exclusively RP in Earth II. We encourage you to encourage outside of us Earth II as well. However, if you want to, that's up to you.

If thats true then my claim is aimed as being colonies of my empire.

Yes you aren't strictly regulated to RPing on Earth II. However, Earth II is an isolated entity. Our NS nations do not affect what our nations within E2 are. There's no interplanetary travel thing with Earth II. That would just make it way too complicated.

Understand that, so I'll make myself clearer:

I want to make this land in EII controlled in name by the Empire of Thrashia but its in reality a free duchy that exercises its own government and foreign policy with only minor money aid from Thrashia itself. That sound reasonable?

Separate in the sense that its ruled autonmously by a Thrashian noble who does not answer to my Emperor in anything but name, is given no military aid, economic benefits, etc but uses Thrashian equipment, style of government, military formations, and other types of organizations that are copy-able?

It's kind of hard to explain it.

One's NS nation and E2 nation are different from each other. Earth II is a semi-closed community. Those in it participate in it but those outside of it do not unless they join. You don't even necessarily have to RP on E2 with the same specs as your NS nation, we just use that as a basis for claiming stats and posting and what not.

So you're, in essence, that my idea is workable so long as I never try to interact between my E2 nation and NS nation in the ways which I described above?

Some land was reserved only for newbies, some land was just open. Both fit into the latter.

On the Map of Europe you show Estonia taken, but Lithuania free...mistake?

Lituania is open. Estonia & Latvia are taken. I must have removed Lith. from the list by mistake.

Fitting to the geographical concept of "Russians in a tropical land" that I built with my NS Prazinia's primary territory located at New Guinea, I would like to claim as much of Brazil as Prazinia current OOC population would allow(preferably all available territories), with Mato Grosso as the place for the capital.

If being a regularly active puppet isn't a problem, because my main NS is instead Third Spanish States, but it just wouldn't fit with Earth II for several reasons. And before any questions, Prazinia is basically a "tyranny by the majority", a constitution-less Participatory Democracy with a planned socialist economy, the majority in this case being of fundamentalist Christians who believe the UN is sending black helicopters to kidnap their children for the New World Order...

Mato Grosso is def. available and has, for some time, been an issue of foreign policy for the EOL, since we invaded and annexed Amazonas and Roraiama. I've even had to invade Mato Grosso and push back anarchist rebels supporting insurrectionists in Amazonas so it's definitely rich with history.

I'm well aware this may have been rejected before, but I figured I'd throw it out anyways. If you mapped all the available land, it would be much appreciated. You could also map the land that was close to being released to the public in a different color. It would help choosing what you wanted a lot, as, for instance, I would rather choose land that was close together (for example, germany and austria) rather than spread apart (India and Israel).

I'm thinking about getting involved but we'll see.

Well this is the list of available land here. You go to the main thread and claim. Because you have less than 101m people you are limited to a claim of 50,000 mi² or less.
